Fuji was busily stuffing his books, laptop and other papers back into his bag when a voice behind him startled him out of his zone.
“Ohayo, Fuji-kun.”
He looked up a little to find a long ponytail hanging just in view before glancing further up to the man's face. He blinked for a moment as the realization registered that he knew the face. Granted, he hadn't seen this person in years and the other man's face had thinned and lost its boyish look, not that he'd every really had a boyish look about him to begin with. Different but still recognizable, even without the trademark glasses that he'd never had to wear.
“You look different without your glasses,” Fuji remarked.
“I would imagine so,” Oshitari said, lips twitching in mild amusement. “Someone convinced me that wearing them for no good reason was more than a little silly.”
“I can kind of see that. I'd always wondered why you wore them when you didn't need to. What are you doing here?”
“I need recommendation letters from several teachers to round out my resume.”
Fuji blinked and looked at him curiously. “Resume? Why?”
Oshitari shrugged. “It's a requirement for one of the programs I want to get into. I'm graduating early. The end of the semester to be exact. I'll have to go to another university to finish a Master's program though. They don't offer it here in what I'm studying.”
“Which is?”
“Double majors; Chemical Engineering and Quantum Physics.”
“That's impressive. I thought my Political Sciences classes were hard, I can't imagine physics.”
“It's only numbers and theories. You either have a head for it or you don't.”
“It's still quite impressive.” At that moment, Fuji's stomach gave a loud rumble and he looked at the other man sheepishly. “Sorry. I skipped breakfast. I was running late because I overslept.” He wasn't about to tell Oshitari the reason he'd overslept had been him deliberately staying awake until Tezuka got up to see if he had any more dreams.
“That is entirely too easy to do. Would you like to get brunch with me then? I was headed to get something to eat anyway,” Oshitari said. “Providing I can locate anything in the cafeteria that remotely resembles food instead of paper-maché glue.”
“That is truth if I've ever heard it. Sure, I'll tag along. I just have to drop a few papers off to Tezuka before his next class,” Fuji said. He didn't comment that Tezuka had forgotten them this morning when he'd practically run from their room. Very strange behavior from his former captain if he did say so himself but the other man didn't need to know that.
“I'd like to see Tezuka-kun again. I've only seen everyone in passing the last couple of years. Even members of the Hyotei team are far flung now.”
Fuji settled his pack onto his shoulder and got up. “That happens when you grow up, I suppose.”
“Indeed it does. People you thought you knew well and would be with forever seem completely different. Almost as though they've become someone else entirely,” Oshitari said thoughtfully. “What is Tezuka's next class?”

Tezuka had barely put his head down on the desk before he was asleep. He had gathered that if he could sleep before Ms. Wolf's class then perhaps he would be less likely to sleep during her class. So, working with that theory, he had come in a half an hour early when no one was there, trusting Inui to wake him up when he got there.
Walking down the hall toward his and Fuji's room he thought he heard a loud hiss then smack followed by oddly muffled noises. He opened the door and stood staring, not quite sure how to register what he was seeing. Fuji was securely bound to the foot of his bed, the muffled noises due to the ball gag in his mouth, butt and thighs red from the whipping he'd been on the receiving end of. Apparently at the hands of the man standing with his back to Tezuka, wearing their school uniform but with long, dark hair unbound and falling around his shoulders and down to the middle of his back like a shadow.
The man turned toward him and it took a few seconds for Tezuka to recognize the face. He was too stunned to move for a moment when he realized who it was.
“Tez-chan, you're just in time,” he said, running a hand over Fuji's thigh and earning a pained squeak in response.
“In time for what?”
“The grand finale. You've missed the first part of the show, after all. But no matter, you've arrived for the best part. Truly beautiful like this, isn't he?”
Tezuka's hands tightened into fists and he said through clenched teeth. “Get your hands off of him.”
“Ah, you're jealous.”
“I am NOT jealous. I just don't like seeing my friend abused.”
A chuckle from the other man. “I think you ARE jealous, Tez-chan. And you don't want him abused unless you're the one doing it. No trouble. I'll share,” he said, offering him the end of the flogger he was holding. “No?” he asked when Tezuka made no move to take it from him. “Come now, it would be fun watching you have your way with him or having you watch while I have my way with him. Oh, wait. I'd almost forgotten. I don't like to share. You probably don't either considering we're very much alike.”
“We are NOT alike.”
“Aren't we?” the other man said, leaning forward until he was almost nose to nose with Tezuka, dark eyes boring into golden ones. “The difference between you and I is that I will ADMIT to what I want instead of denying it to mine and everyone else's detriment. That is the ONLY difference. Keep that in mind, Tez-chan. If you don't claim him soon, I will. Make no mistake about that.”
Tezuka woke to someone shaking him; he presumed it was Inui for a moment before focusing enough to make out Fuji's form. He put his glasses on and was about to say something when it registered that there was someone standing behind Fuji. Then he realized who it was and glared.
“Oshitari,” he growled through clenched teeth.
“Nice to see you again too, Tezuka-kun.”
