Prince Of Tennis Fan Fiction ❯ Rikkaidai Doubles ❯ Chapter 8
Rikkaidai Doubles
~*~EPILOGUE~*~
"So, now what?"
"I don't know."
"What!"
"Well, Hiro and I wanted to, you know, try this... the four of us in, like, a relationship. But speaking as the voice of experience here---I don't know. I've never been in a steady relationship with more than one person before."
"Why don't I believe you?"
"I don't know. But I can tell you that having sex with someone does not a relationship make."
"So, then... what exactly was the point of this?"
"An experiment? To have fun? Try something new? Something different? And maybe...."
"Maybe?"
"Maybe, just *once*, to beat the socks off of those Singles boys. It *really* irks me sometimes that they can still play a better game of tennis than us."
"... You're kidding me, right?"
"No! I'm serious! I mean, what the hell--they're *singles* players! It's not fair that Yukimura, Sanada, and Yanagi are ace *doubles* players, too."
A knock on the door had all four teens freezing.
"Shitsureishimasu," a gruff voice called out before the door slid open.
And there, his sheer presence filling the doorway, stood the mountain, staring intently at the wall directly across from him and purposefully *not* looking down--
"Sanada," Yagyuu greeted cordially, reaching for his glasses, which Bunta had removed at some point. They look utterly ridiculous on Jackal, anyway.
"Yukimura wanted to remind you that there is a student council meeting in 3A," the vice captain spoke stiffly.
Yagyuu glanced at the clock, surprised at what it said. "It's already that time?" he mused aloud. "All right. I'll be right there," he replied, standing up, unmindful of his nakedness.
Sanada nodded, once, before pivoting on heel and slamming the sliding door shut behind him.
Silence followed his departure as Yagyuu reclaimed his scattered school uniform.
And then---
"I swear to *god*! One day I'm going to figure out how he *knows* everything!"

~The End~
End Notes:
There. It's done. Thank the gods.
When I first started writing "Rikkaidai Doubles" it was for the pure fangirl experience of getting the four boys naked and skrumping (an idea that popped up during a conversation with Bunny, I might add, so it's all her fault. Uh huh.). The rape was a strange happening that could have been handled a lot better--by the characters and myself. I did, however, enjoy the opportunity to work with Bunta and Jackal and Bunta and Masaharu. And Jackal's family--they really amused me that lot, and I could have happily gone into more detail about them.
Jackal's name is one of minor annoyance. According to one of my teachers, because Jackal is "foreign" he would be addressed as first name first, last name last. But then how come Ryoma is referred to as "Echizen Ryoma" and not "Ryoma Echizen"? Despite being from America, Ryoma's full Japanese--both his parents being Japanese (although, do we know if his mom was raised in Japan like his dad?)--and he fits more easily into the homogeneous society, where Jackal stands out worse than I do. Besides which, the idea of "Jackal" as a family name just.... *doesn't* sit right with me. It makes a much cooler first name (in my opinion).
So. That's that.
Oh. And I so blame Ravenwoodii for putting the idea of Yukimura as a god in my head. It won't go away!!! >.<
