Prince Of Tennis Fan Fiction ❯ There and back again ❯ Found Spying ( Chapter 15 )
[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
Hey! Sorry, I'm only updating once after this long, long country time! Sorry to say they put me to work, so I fell asleep at any free time. Now then, I will hopefully write a lot more chapters soon, cause I love to see where my story goes! I know the summary, but the characters tell me the details. Love you!

ENJOY!
The regulars watched as Miru walked out of sight, a thoughtful smile on her face, before leaving their unseen bushes for the court ahead. The other players who had been watching the surprising match that had taken place what seemed like a moment before had done the same.
“Inui, is there any school that we are to play against who has a dance player?” The sight of Miru's fleeting movements and east, powerful returns to the Rikkaidai ace where haunting him, even if he wouldn't confess to it. Tezuka hid behind his poker face, hoping the answer was a definite `no'.
“There is a 32.59% chance of us facing a dancing tennis player, Tezuka Buchou, but their technique will most likely be only 41.34% as perfected as Miru's, and since I know that…”
“Did you /see/ how Miru killed that ace?! I mean…Ewww…why are /you/ here?!”
The Seigaku players looked up from their discussion and noticed six /very/ disgusted looking Hyotei members and one annoyed and sneering Ex-Seigaku member.
“Why are /you/ here?” Gakuto had somehow managed to snort out his repeated comment through his surprised and disgusted gawking. These Seigaku idiots had been…what, stalking their classmate? He had known they where weird, but to have stalked Miru and watched her private game?!
“Fshuuu…”
“I'd like to ask you the same thing.”
“If you commoners /must/ know, Ore-sama was worried about the girl when she did not show up for Eiji's practice match, so we searched in the direction she left in. Now if you would be as kind as to tell us why you are here, we shall grace you with listening.”
“What, no `fall in awe of my prowess?'” Momo tried to smirk at the answer he had given, but was cut off by both the Hyotei Buchou's glare and their tensai's words.
“Truly, Momo hit a ball into the woods, being the baka power player he truly is.” Fuji's smile didn't change as he continued to talk. “He saw the demon player challenge our sweet Mi-chan and ran back to get us to help! We, of course, came back to aid little Ru-san, but found we weren't needed at all.” Most everyone thought the sadistic teen had used his possessive words and pet names to irk the Hyotei players, but one of the regulars completely failed to realize this.
“What do you mean by /your/ Miru?! And what's with those stupid names, her name is MIRU, not Mi-chan or Ru-san! You suck…” Gakuto's screaming rant came to an abrupt halt as both Eiji and Yuushi restrained him and covered his mouth.
“Baka baka shii, you know that idiotic tensai just wants to feed off your reaction?! Baka!” Eiji stared at the restrained acrobat before turning to the rival team. “Well, now that her game is done and you have seen that she needed no help, it would be best for you to leave her-and Hyotei-alone. Got it? It's all for your own good, after all.” At this, he faked a wide grin before showing his disdain. “Oh, and Fuji, you've got a little something on your shoe.”
Fuji looked down to where Eiji had pointed to, an uncharacteristic sadistic smile on the black haired boy's face, and found that he in fact /did/ have something on his shoe. Slightly blushing, he turned back to his old friend. “Thank you, Kikumaru.”
“Tezuka, Ore-sama would like to grace you with a match, since out last was…interrupted.” Atobe had taken a place at the front of his group from where he thought his beauty and prowess could be most admired. “Then we can finally prove that Ore-sama is the superior of the two.”
Tezuka bristled, and was about to start his reply to the egotistical Hyotei captain when they turned at a very unexpected voice.
“Ksa! What the heck is this ball doing here! Didn't this hit me in front of the court I /played/ on?! Shimata, I'm going in circles!” Miru walked back towards the clearing, trying to figure out how she would be able to get to the Hyotei club house in time for her game. She stopped for a moment, thinking that she had heard something, but continued on as she told herself it was just Kirihara and the rest of his team. She was wrong. As the court came into view, so did the two very familiar teams. Both the regulars from Hyotei and Seigaku where scattered across the court, staring in her direction.
“Miru…wh…where did you come from?”
Eiji tried again to coax Miru out of her room, but as soon as she had reached the oversized clubhouse and therefore her temporary residence, the door had been bolted shut and nothing happened in the room to indicate that there truly /was/ anything in that room. “Miru, come on! We told you that was just our…um…before tournament meeting! Only Rikkaidai wasn't there.”
No reply came from the room. `I can't believe you would do that to me! I completely trusted you, and yet you think you have the need to follow me wherever I go?! I thought I was your friend, not your pet!'
“We already told you we weren't watching your game with Kirih-um, we weren't watching you warm up!”
No reply again. `And I'm sure you want to know what I was doing, huh? Well, I was warming up for my match! I was having fun without you, too!'
“Aren't you going to say anything?!”
Eiji's work finally paid off as he got his reply. A shrill scream came from the room, something crashed on the floor, and then all was silent.
