[ P - Pre-Teen ]

The Amazon Matriarch's body armor was quite tight on Her lithe body. She smiled dangerously as She rode into battle, riding Her mighty Gilded Dragoness. "Onward to battle! We will defeat them yet!" She wielded Starfire, The mighty blade of the amazon goddesses. It took the form of a great katana made of what looked like solid fire. Apon her golden haired head, she wore the crown of the Amazons, which granted Her the gift of immortality. Flying next to Her rode Ranma Saotome, Her husband, riding His winged panda, Genma. To Him, She was Shampoo, the affectionate, lavender haired, red eyed teenager from His mortal life To His left rode Akane Soatome, Ranma's first wife.

Behind them, on a golden winged lion was the prince. He held the mighty Helix Blade, a sword of great power. He is the Akane's first born, a royal guard and the royal family's body guard.

The enemy was the chosen ones of darkness, The Black Knights. They were another group of Amazons that were led by Mousse, The Dark Winged Duck. Mousse was born into the same tribe of amazons as Shampoo. But his heart was consumed by revenge. Revenge and hate. Hate for Ranma because he stole the heart of Shampoo which Mousse had coveted. And a desire for revenge for the same reason. One day he made a blood pact with the chaos god Darktooth Bloodfang, hell god of power and vengeance. In exchange for the power to defeat Ranma, Mousse gave Darktooth his soul.

But what Mousse hadn't counted on, was the fact that Shampoo was the Chosen One of Ling Mao, who was really Bastet (who had gone into hiding after the fall of polytheism) (Note: Ling Mao is Bastet, not Shampoo). When Shampoo reached the right age, She ascended and became the immortal matriarch of the Jyoketsuzoku. As the immortal matriarch, Shampoo was given the right to give the gift of immortality to her husband and co-wife if she had one.

With the Gift, Ranma's Curse vanished. But 1000 years later a girl with red hair pulled into a pig-tail like Ranma's, wearing a red Chinese shirt, black silk pants and white bird wings, and a small familiar looking pink cat came to the village. The girl said her name was Ranko Saotome and that she had come seeking her older brother. She held out a picture. It showed Ranma the day before he was given the Gift. Shampoo knew what was going on. "Ranko" was the living embodiment of Ranma's cursed form. After a while, Ranma grew to love her like a sister and not the Curse that had plagued him for so many years. She was given her own steed as a gift. It was the cat that had once been Shampoo's Cursed form who shampoo had Remade into a Steed.
Ranko fell in love with one of the wanderers that lived in the area. His name was Lupus and he was a little strange. He clamed that he was the Envoy of the great creator god. He also claimed he had been alive since Ranma's teen years. He loved her dearly and she loved him in return. One day he pulled her into a hug and said |The time of my redemption is at hand and the pieces are falling in to place. I just need to do one more thing and then we can go. Believe it or not, my love, You're going to be part of the ritual!|
|A Sacrifice?| Ranko said, obviously scared
|What!! No! Of course not! You know I would never be able to hurt you much less kill you.| Lupus said lovingly, giving Ranko a kiss on the forehead and holding her until she regained her composure. After a while Lupus said |Feeling better?| Ranko nodded and Lupus gave her another kiss on the forehead and said |Why don't you go sit over there and watch the magic!| Ranko looked at him confusedly and he pointed over her shoulder where she heard the sound of something hitting the ground. She looked over her shoulder and saw a plush armchair. She walked over to it, poked at it for a while and then sat down. After making sure that Ranko was comfortable, Lupus pulled himself into a lotus position and concentrated. A golden aura seeped out of him and formed into a ray of golden light shooting up into the sky. Then Lupus's smoky blue-gray eyes opened and then glowed golden and the aura split from his body and formed into a humanoid form. Lupus then collapsed to the ground.
|Lupus!| Ranko yelled, running to her husband |Don't leave me!|
|Wouldn't dream of it, love!|
|Lupus!| Ranko yelled happily, jumping into his arms.
|Please Ran-Chan! Not in front of the Master!|
{|Don't mind me.|} The light spoke in an echoing voice.
|Yes but, you have other things you could be doing. So I will get straight to the point. I need your help convincing Shampoo-san to take Ran-Chan here with me|
|Really! do you mean it?|
|Of course, love!|
{|Actually, that's why I'm here. I knew you would need my help, so I came here to talk to Shampoo-san and help you convince Her. Plus you need me for the ritual|}
|Did I hear my name?| Shampoo bounced over.
|My Queen.| Lupus bowed low in front of Shampoo. Shampoo held out her hand, Lupus took it and kissed the back of Her hand.
|Always the gentleman, eh, Jon?| Lupus's eyes glowed red for a second then returned to normal.
|A moment of your time, my queen?|
|Sure, Jon.|Lupus's eyes glowed red again
Shampoo led Lupus to the near by temple and took him inside.
|I thought I told you never to call me by that name again! I did some terrible things during my life as Jonathan Carey! And as far as I am concerned he died 900 years ago! I am thankful to the High Priest who saved me from eternal damnation! I want to finish my quest of redemption. But one thing makes it hard for me! My anger at who I was. When I hear that name, it reminds me of that anger. You noticed my eyes glowing? The demon that caused this trouble still resides within me! My anger is the key to its resurrection. That blood red glow in my eyes is the lock that holds this demon breaking. Back then I was a weakling, and you remember how strong I was with the demon! Now I, on my own, am a lot stronger! Think how strong the demon would be now. Being with Ranko is helping me get over my anger but I still have a long way to go! So I ask you again, My Queen, Please don't call me by that name. I am thankful to you and your people for aiding me and I don't want to become who I once was. From what I know of this type of demon, I know that when it gets free the first ones to die are the ones its host loved the most. Megami-sama, I love you like a sister meaning that you are probably the second one the demon will go after, following Ran-Chan. It won't stand a chance against you. But I don't want it to come to that. So please call me by my absolved name, Megami-sama.|
|I will respect your wishes and call you by the name you desire.|
|Thank you, my queen. And by the way, Jonathan was no gentleman.|
|By the the way...|
|Yes?|
|Who or what is that winged black wolf that is always following you?|
|What, IronBolt here? He's my Envoy!|
|I didn't know Envoys could have their own Envoy.|
|They can't. I was just joking. Seriously though he's my familiar.|
|Oh!|

They then left the temple and rejoined their friends.

| So can she come?|
|Yes but on one condition. I get to come too. Oh yeah and you have to keep your hands off Ranko. I don't want a half demon putting his hands on my sister-in-law!|
|Oh don't worry. We just have to go to Jusenkyou. And why don't you ask Ran-Chan for her opinion!
|Yeah Megumi-san! he can touch me if he likes!| Ranko purred
[|Sorry about that, folks. I'll try to keep her under control.|]
|Huh?|
|What?|
|The Fairies are at it again!"
|Huh? What are you talking about?|
|I...Please hold on. Kami Time Storm...| As these final words were said, Lupus pulled his hands back to his waist and put his his palms together with his palms facing outward (You know, the typical position for firing organic energy blasts like the Goku's Kama Hama Wave, Ryu's Sho Ryu Ken, Ranma's Moko Takabisha or Ryoga's Shishi Hokodan) . In front of his palms a glowing, golden ball of energy formed. He held it for a while and it grew to about the size of a basketball |Fire!| With that word, he released the ball of energy. the ball flew of into some bushes. There was the sound of human bodies hitting the ground. |They're still after me!|
|Who?|
|Some idiots from when I was still in school. I thought the demon killed them all!|
"Brains. Brains! BRAINS!"
|That explains it.|
|What?|
|The demon did kill them all. It's just that the underworld does not want them because they have committed such a great sin. So their souls, if you could call them that, keep coming back until they atone for their crimes. But being the morons that they are, they can't figure out how to seek redemption.|
|Uh-uh and what is this sin?|
|Utima level Annoyance and harassing a god's servant .|
|Oh.|

|Anyway, off we go! IronBolt! Mush!|

|Hikariryu!|

|Megumineko!|

|Hold it!|
There was a screech as all the steeds pulled to a stop
|Yes?|
|Master, aren't you going to take on a corporeal form?|

{|That would be a good idea.|}

The humanoid shaped light shimmered and took the form of a fourteen year old boy with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing golden body armor and a platinum circlet with a sizable diamond around his head. Around his waist he wore an electrum belt (Electrum is an alloy consisting of sliver and gold) with an obsidian jackal on the buckle. Tied to the belt was a golden katana with a black jackal head coming out of the handle. Strapped to his back was a longer katana, this one with a four foot blade, and also with a jackal head pummel. Out of a subspace pocket he pulled a carved flute made from bluish crystal. He played it and a portal opened. Through the portal came a giant black jackal with black wings.

{|Come Judgment|]
|This is your almighty lord?!|
|This just a form. He doesn't really look like this.|
|Oh.|

|Let's go!|
And off they flew.
Half way the flight Lupus opened his telepathic link with Anubis.
::Did you have to take that form?::
::What? I like it because I think it's very handsome.::
[Thank you.]

{The Uber Deities are talking.}

All of a sudden... WOOSH! Out of nowhere flew a carved obsidian throwing dagger. It was flying toward Lupus. Then a golden aura surrounded Ranko and her eyes glowed golden. She slowed her steed and raised her hand, palm outward. A glittering ball of energy formed in front of her hand. The sphere grew until it was about the size of a basket ball. Then it launched at the dagger and shattered it in mid flight.
{The knight won't be harmed until he frees his lady}
|Huh?!| Shampoo said confusedly
|It's Mousse!| Lupus shouted
|Lupus, you won't live to complete the ritual!| Mousse yelled
::Master, let's take him out!::
::How?::
::Well, I have been itching to try out my new weapon::"
::OK, What is it?::
::You'll see. Cover me!::
::Right!::
|You won't harm my friends!|
Out of one of his belt pouches Lupus pulled a carved flute similar to the one Anubis had used and put it to his lips. In front of him a portal opened and he reached in and pulled out a glowing weapon. It was a gunblade of surprising quality. It's blade glowed blackly (Yes, I'm well aware that that's an oxymoron) (See picture below)
toward Mousse. The beam just barely missed.
|Leave now Mousse! I will deal with you after the ritual! IronBolt, Lets go! Last one to Jusenkyou feeds the Steeds| Lupus taunted
And so they sped of in to the horizon

|Lupus no baka, the Steeds don't need to be fed!| Shampoo yelled after him
|Come Back Airen!| Ranko Called. Then she yelped in surprise when Lupus popped up behind her and wrapped his arms around her
|Don't worry. I wouldn't ever leave you, my lady.| Lupus said lovingly with a suave smile. |I am, and always will be, your knight.|
|We're there!| Shampoo called.
The party landed and were greeted by the Jusenkyou guide.
|Greetings good Sirs. I have been expecting you|
"Greetings, My lord, I humbly beg your assistance. (Greetings, My lord, I humbly beg your assistance.)" Said Lupus, bowing before the guide.
"Come right this way, child. (Come right this way, child)." said the guide, leading Lupus to his hut.
"I'll be right back. Then we can start the ritual." said Lupus, Stopping over at IronBolt to pick up a package from it's saddle bag.
Lupus and the Guide headed to the hut. Meanwhile the remainder of the group sat outside looking confused.
"What was that language they were speaking?" Ranko asked Anubis.
"That,my child, was the language of the gods, Kami-go! (That, my child, was the language of the gods, Kami-go!)"
"Huh?"
{I said 'That, my child, was the language of the gods, Kami-go!' You shall be learning it shortly ]
"OK let's get started!" Lupus emerged wearing white robes with images of black wolves on them. He carried a dagger with a black jackal head pommel. Around his neck he wore a necklace with a pendant with the image of a wolf surrounded by strange characters.
"This way, Sirs" the guide led them to a pool surrounded by the image of a triangle with a circle at each of the points. One had the japanese character for light, another had the character for judgment and the last one had the character for guidance.
"Anubis, you stand in the Circle of of Judgment."
{I know, I know. I have done this before, you know.]
"Ranko-san, you stand here, in the Circle of Light." the Guide said, pointing to the circle with the character for light in it.
" I still don't see what I have to do with this." Ranko questioned
"You'll see. When your time comes, you'll know what to say. Now to throw of the disguise." the guide glowed golden and he started to change. Where once he had been fat, he was now was slim and athletic looking. His clothes had changed too. He was now wearing golden armor with the word Jusenkyou written on the front in Kami-go (Jusenkyou), perched on his head was the same hat, green with a red star.
Lupus walked to into the pool and started chanting. His pendant started to glow

Anubis's circle glowed and he started chanting. Now Ranko's circle glowed. when she spoke she spoke with a god like voice. As she finished speaking, the Guide's circle glowed and he spoke with a commanding voice totally different from his normal voice. With those last words, Lupus stabbed the dagger into his heart. As the blood flowed down his white robes and reached the water, the pool started to glow and a white flame rose up to consume Lupus. He burned, but his face showed no pain. Only contentment. Finally the flame consumed him completely. The flame died and the water went back to normal. At the same moment Lupus disappeared, Ranko was surrounded by a golden glowing cocoon.
{Finally, Imouto-chan is returning! When she left, she said that she would return at the dawning of the Battle of the Dawn. And low and behold now she's returning]

Five hours later...
The pool starts glowing again and this time energy starts to gather take the shape of a wolf headed human, with a tail. At the same time the energy starts to gather,
the translucent gold shell of the cocoon start to crack. Meanwhile back at what had once be the guide's hut was now a golden palace, Anubis and the guide were drinking tea and talking. All of a sudden they both get looks of surprise on their faces and run out to the pool. Just as they get there, the energy finishes gathering and the cocoon shatters. Out of the pool steps a man with a wolf's head, softly glowing blue eyes and a tail, wearing similar robes to what Lupus was wearing, except that the blood stains were gone and the colors had inverted them selves. Out of the remains of the cocoon steps a woman with golden hair pulled into a long pig-tail that came out of the back of her head (Think Ranma except blonde and longer, stopping about 3 inches above the ground) and a golden yellow kimono with a phoenix stitched on the back out of golden thread. She also wears golden bracers. She has golden colored eyes that seem to glow with their own light. Around her head, she wears a tiara made out of golden crystal (you know, like gold except crystalline instead of metallic) Glowing through the tiara is the image of the Solar Disk. She has beautiful features that bear the look of innocence and an athletic build.
{It's good to be back!"} Says the woman.
{Imouto-chan!] Anubis says running up to the woman and giving her a big hug.
{Ani-Chan!} The woman says hugging Anubis back
The Wolf headed man put back his head and let out a howl.
"{Man it feels great to be free of that demon!}" The wolf headed man said
The wolf headed walked over to the golden haired woman and bowed in front of her. He took her hand in his and kissed it.
{You may rise, Lupus. You may be my knight but you are also my husband.} the woman said, pulling the wolf headed man, who it was know known was Lupus, into a fierce hug.
"Ran-chan!" Lupus returned the embrace
{That's Hazashi to you.} Hazashi said lovingly.
"{I don't care. I married you. A person, not a name. Plus in the words of Juliet Capulet, 'What's in a name. Would that which we call a rose by any other name not smell as sweet?'}" And with that Lupus held out his hand, palm up and a yellow rose appeared in his hand. He then handed it to Hazashi and said "{Thank you, Thank you. If you would like to learn how to do that, you can buy my new book, 101 Dumb God Tricks.}"
{Um Excuse me, Lupus but a majority of the people here already know how to do that!] Anubis reminded him.
Lupus then started whining pitifully. Hazashi walked over to him and gave him a hug and said {Anubis, that was mean! Remember he is no longer your Envoy. He's my knight. And I'll protect him with all my heart!} Hazashi said with a voice that didn't quite fit with her innocent features.
"{Um.. Excuse me}" Lupus said
{Yes? What is it, dear?}
"{Aren't I supposed to be the one protecting you}"
{Well yes but at the moment you're not strong enough to take on a god. You will be eventually but right now I will need to keep you safe where gods are concerned. But I would be happy to let it you make it up to me when we get home.} At that Lupus blushes (Although it's sort of hard to tell since he has fur on his face)
"{Well let's get started, the war begins soon. Oh yes, before I forget, Hikari-Sama, why did you allow yourself to fall in that pool?}"
{I did it for your love.}
"{Huh?}"
{You see, I thought that you wouldn't love me if you know I was a goddess from the start. I thought that you would love me more if I was more like you.}
"{Hikari-sama, How could I not love you. You're kind, caring, intelligent, beautiful, a great fighter, good humored, have a great voice and are a great musician. As you all ready know, during my wanderings, I travel to many dimensions and visited the natives. I lived with the Saotomes and and the Tendos, The Masakis and the Morisatos and at Darien Sheilds' house. I traveled with the Slayers ( Fortunately, when I traveled with them, Naga was nowhere to be seen.) Having been all these places I can say this: You are kinder, sweeter and more caring, and a better cook than Belldandy or Kasumi, Sasami or Lita or Ukyo. You were, as a human, smarter than Amy. You are a better Sorceress than Lina Inverse. You could even give Ranma or Shampoo a run for their money in hand-to-hand combat. You have more pure natural beauty than any of the girls I lived with during my travels. You were always there when I needed a shoulder to cry on. But most of all, you are the one person who could calm me when the demon tries to break free. During those times, I'm like Ranma when he's in Nekoken. I would kill any who got near me. But some how you always seem to be able to calm me. I don't know if its your voice or your divine nature or maybe your purity or your heart of gold, but what ever it was it calmed the demon down without even trying. You are my Akane in that respect. And you were there when I regained control. I would go into intense depression and self loathing. You, my beloved, were there during these periods to make sure I didn't do anything to hurt myself. Why wouldn't I love you? You are my soul mate, my one and only, The one I'll protect with all my heart. You are the only woman I would want to mother my children," Hazashi blush at this." If I lost you I would probably end my life so I could spend blessed eternity with you. Besides, The gods wouldn't let me love anyone but you. Don't you find it a bit odd that when I visited those other dimensions, I never liked any of the girls I met in any way more potent than friendship. All of the girls that weren't already attached to some one liked me because I wasn't actively or passively pursuing them. People like Akane Tendo, who as you know hated boys, were willing to be my friends because that was all I wanted from them. In fact, the only woman I ever loved the way I love you was my first wife, who, I'll bet was you in disguise. Sure, during my teen years I had a few crushes, but you are the only woman that I would ever want as my wife. Although if I had know you were a goddess from the beginning I might have be scared to get close to you.}"
{See what I mean?}
"{Yes, but wasn't that a bit mean to Ranma? I mean look at all the trouble His cur.. you got him into.}"
{Oh, He forgave me for that long ago.}
{We should really be getting back to the village.]

Lupus made one last visit to the Guides hut to change out of his robes (It is very hard to ride in robes) and say good bye and thank you to the guide. He emerged wearing formfitting blue body armor with the image of a white wolf on the chest along with his name Kami-Go (Lupus) and a hole in back for his tail. On his head he wore a pharoah-style headdress that has a silver wolf's head instead of the usual snake and/or vulture heads standard on that kind of headdress. Strapped to his back is the gunblade he used earlier. He is wearing gloves that appear to be made of wolf fur (Note: No animals were harmed in the making of the characters wardrobes. It may look like wolf fur, it may smell like wolf fur, but it ain't wolf fur!).
Anubis and Lupus concentrated and Judgment and a winged white wolf flew in. Shampoo and Hazashi looked at them strangely. In response it the strange looks, at the same time they said one word.
"Telepathy"
Than Lupus said "Hey, Hikari-sama , I could teach you how to do that some day."
{Okay!} Hazashi responded
"Would you teach me too?" Shampoo pleaded eagerly
"Sure. But only after Hikari-sama has learned it."
{Come on! Come on! Let's go! Let's go!]
"{Hold your horses. Or in your case jackals}"
"{Hikariryu!}"
{Meguminegko!}
All the ride back Hazashi felt a warm blanket covering her mind. It didn't interfere with her thought process but it was comforting to know that the man she loved was capable of this level of intimacy. She felt his unending love flowing from his heart directly into hers. ::I love you.::
It had been a long day for all parties. Anubis said good bye to Hazashi and dissolved back to the energy that he had formed from. Hazashi and Lupus went back to their house and had a nice long bath. Shampoo returned to her house and talked to Ranma and Akane about what had happened. They all went to sleep knowing that tomorrow would be a big day.

I do have natural brown hair and eyes (No, I do not dress like that. Wish I could but I don't) and so when He took my form his normal voice merged with mine and hence you get part god voice ({...}) and part me voice ([...]). IronBolt is so named because Iron is black and Black represents evil. That's not to say that Lupus is evil, just that he wasn't pure good. Don't expect to see much of IronBolt except in flash-backs because he became SilverBolt when Lupus attained redemption. Note: This story is mostly about Lupus and Hazashi.
