Ranma 1/2 Fan Fiction / Fruits Basket Fan Fiction ❯ Furuba 1/2 ❯ Her name is Koneko ( Chapter 1 )
Disclaimer: A… an… Ano, I do not own it, but I wish I did! Trust me,
if I did own Furuba and Ranma bout keeping it a secret? You should
have known I would have found out. I know everything that you do."
Akito looked from Yuki to Kyou. He smirked; he wanted to hurt the
neko-boy even more than he as going to hurt Haru and Yuki. Hatori
sensed something amiss and looked up. Akito was moving closer to
Kyou, crawling on his hands and knees like a cat. Akito straddled
Kyou's lap and rested his chin on Kyou's shoulder. Yuki and Haru felt
their anger rise as Akito played with Kyou. Kyou himself, however,
made no sign of annoyance at Akito's advances.
"Kyou-kun, this must hurt you most of all. It must hurt because now
you'll be right back where you started, hated by everyone. No one
will love you, Kyou-kun, not even Tohru. It's a pity, first I had to
take away your sister and now your lovers."
-------
Meanwhile…
"Another fight. What is it with you? A fight over the color of your
hair, because someone said something about? If you get so offended
why don't you dye it back to it's natural color? God, of all the kids
we had to get you." The orange haired girl's adopted mother rolled
her eyes as she looked at her adopted child. The orange haired girl's
fist was gripping the pants to her uniform. She refused to wear the
girl's uniform, and that had caused a fight in it's own. No matter
what the girl did, her adopted parents seemed to hate her. Not that
she cared, she was leaving soon any way.
"It was a fight about the color of her hair and because she wears the
boy's uniform." The teacher watched as the girl's adopted mother
pushed her glasses up on the bridge of her nose. The woman looked
disgustingly at the beaded bracelet the girl wore on her wrist and
reached down towards her wrist. The girl noticed the action and
pulled her hand back, not giving the woman the chance to embarrass
her further.
"Maybe if the students in this school didn't suck so much, I wouldn't
have to fight them!" The girl stood up as she spoke, balling her fist
up, then slamming it into a wall. The plaster cracked around her
fist, causing the women to scream out. The girl turned to her adopted
mother and waited to see what the woman had to say.
"Don't think I don't see what you're trying to do. You're trying to
get me to take you to Nerima so you can see those boys Ryoga and
Ranma. No, I won't have it. I'm sending you to a school where you'll
learn to behave like a human lady. I'll be sending you to Kaibara
High School."
"That's fine with me, I'll just get suspended." The orange haired
girl pulled her fist away from the wall and walked out of the room,
her hands stuffed in the pockets of her pants. Her adopted mother
glared after her, ready to teach the girl a lesson that she wouldn't
forget. She stalked out after the girl and grabbed for the bracelet
around her wrist. The girl pulled her arm away and took off down the
hall, running away.
-------
1 week later
Everyone watched as the new student stalked into the school. Her long
orange hair was pulled back into a sloppy bun and her bangs fell into
her eyes. Chopsticks stuck out of the bun, as if they were what was
holding her hair up. She wore the male's school uniform, and sloppily
at that. Her tie was half undone, and her shirt was half tucked in.
The cuffs of her sleeves were unbuttoned and had been cut apart and
had extra fabric sewn in so the sleeves flared out more. The girl's
book satchel was a traditional, American, on the back book bag that
was black with writing all over it in white. The first people to be
their gossip was the Prince Yuki fan club.
"Oi, if you're goin' to talk about me, do it to my face." The girl
turned and looked directly at Motoko with her best death glare. The
fan club gulped audibly as she turned and began to walk more. She
sighed in relief as she finally found her classroom and slipped
inside to introduce herself to her teacher. As she walked in, she
found herself walking in on an argument. Kyou and Yuki were head to
head, insulting each other back and forth. Momiji, Haru, and Tohru
were off to the side with Uo-chan and Hana-chan, observing the fight.
The girl shook her head and closed her eyes as she walked towards
them. It was then that she heard Yuki claim his victory over
the 'baka-neko' any day.
"You're so fucking cocky. It's people like you that piss me off." The
girl opened her eyes and gave Yuki a wicked grin as she dropped her
book bag to the ground. She moved into a fighting stance and smirked.
"You claim you can beat this guy, but I guarantee that you'll lose to
me in a fight, so come on, I want to see if you are as good as you
boast." Yuki looked at the girl, then to Kyou who was blinking in
amazement. This girl was going to challenge Yuki? Kyou couldn't let
her do it! It was like suicide! When Yuki didn't move, the girl
became angered and balled her fist up. She slammed it hard into a
desk, then pulled her hand back. Seconds later the desk split down
the middle and fell to the floor.
"My name is Koneko, a well rounded martial artist. I challenge you to
a fight."
"Yuki, maybe you should, I want to see you in action." Haru smirked
as Yuki rolled his eyes and accepted Koneko's challenge. He walked
over and loosened his tie to fight the girl. Koneko motioned for him
to make the first move, so he did. Yuki aimed a punch for her face,
but Koneko dodged and grabbed his arm with both her hands and brought
her foot up into his chest. She let go with her right hand, her left
hand still clutching his arm, and punched him in the same spot where
she'd kicked him. She let go of his arm and watched as he went
stumbling back, then fell on his ass on the ground. She blew her
bangs out of her eyes and smiled as she winked at him.
"Just so you know, you just got beat by a kitten." Koneko gave a
short laugh before she heard the distinct sound of someone busting
holes into walls. She gulped as she watched as the back wall burst
down. When the smoke cleared, a purple haired girl with a Chinese
sword in hand stood, glaring at her.
"Cat girl think that moving keep safe from Shampoo? Shampoo kill cat
girl!"
"Oh, come on, Shampoo, can't we just talk it over?" The girl put her
hands up in front of her and backed up, trying to stay away from the
crazy, sword bearing girl. She gulped as the Chinese girl continued
to advance on her.
"Shampoo no talk with cat girl! Shampoo kill cat girl!" Shampoo
lunged forward with her sword, but missed Koneko because the girl
jumped up and over the blade. Koneko spotted a pitcher of water
sitting on the teacher's desk and dashed for it. Shampoo lunged at
her again, but Koneko jumped onto the teacher's desk and grabbed the
pitcher. Shampoo brought her sword down, ready to cut the girl in
half. Koneko jumped off the desk, just in time because Shampoo
brought the sword down and it lodged itself into the desk. Koneko
splashed the water on Shampoo and watched as the girl suddenly turned
into a kitten. She sighed as she looked at the kitten.
"Aww, what's wrong Shampoo-chan? Cat got your tongue?" Koneko winked
as the cat ran off. She turned to the others who were staring, their
eyes wide open, their mouths on the ground. She placed a hand behind
her head and laughed nervously.
"What was that?" Yuki looked at the girl who tried to stop laughing
long enough to explain. She grinned and held up a victory sign.
"My name is Koneko, a traveling martial artist up until I was forced
into a foster home. That was Shampoo, a Chinese Amazon bent on
killing me because I beat her in a fight. I lived in Nerima for a
while, training in the Saotome School of Anything Goes Martial Arts,
and I also studied with my best friend Ryoga." She laughed more as
she rubbed the back of her head, trying to figure out how to explain
Shampoo turning into a cat. She went to grab her book bag but slipped
on something and fell into Kyou. The two crashed to the ground, both
shouting out no.
"I didn't change!" Both Koneko and Kyou stared at each other as the
words left both of their mouths. It was then that the two noticed the
resemblance between them.
"Mirror images." Haru looked at the two in awe as he watched them
stand up. He noticed the bracelet on Koneko's wrist and thought back
to Hatori's desk at his office. A framed picture of Kyou and a girl,
Kyou's twin sister, sat on the desk.
