And So It Begins
The next day as breakfast was being cooked by Kagome and her mother for the family they heard the tv come to life saying…
“In other news there has been a report that the area surrounding the Higurashi Shrine in a 15 mile radius has just been bought to make a historic museum and training dojo for anyone who wants to come and study artifacts and history from the Meji period of Japanese culture and as well as a chance to learn martial arts skills and techniques from as many as four to six different styles of fighting. The museum is not supposed to be ready for another six months and the same for the dojo. But if you have any questions I have been told to have them addressed to the following two people. A mister Sesshomaru and Inuyasha Takahashi. That is all now back to your regular news report for the day.”
As soon as the random news announcer got done Inuyasha flicked the tv off with a peculiar look on his face. Walking into the room and sitting down next to him, Kagome leans her head on his shoulder and asks if he has any clue what Sesshomaru is up to.
“I honestly don’t know Kagome. But my gut reply is to tell you it has something to do with the large number of people gathering that we need to have close by us as friends and allies. Cause I am sure that even as much as your mom likes to have people visit there would still be no way that she could keep them all here at the shrine.” Inuyasha replied
“Correct you are little Brother. So This sesshomaru has taken the liberty of providing a space and once it is no longer neede for our purposes after the war, then we will really turn it into a museum and a martial arts training hall like This Sesshomaru has stated and that will help to recover some of the money that will be put into this venture plus make a profit for our family. Is this sutible to you Miko?” questioned Sesshomary from where he was standing in the open doorway.
“Yes, thank you brother that will be just fine. Now as soon as the housing can be completed we can start moving people into it.” Kagome stated.
“This sesshomaru has already hired help to build the housing and they will be finished by tomorrow evening.” Sesshomaru replied.
“Keh, just how much help did ya hire?” Inuyasha asked.
“Just one thousand people. As This sesshomaru did not see any need to waste time as we do not know for sure when everyone will get here. And there are already a few here that are taking up extra space in the shrine. Oh and Little Brother, the best two rooms are for your mate and your self as well as for This sesshomaru and his mate. From there you or your mate may divide up the other rooms as you see fit. You will tell our rooms apart by the symbol of the House of the West on it.” Sesshomaru stated afterwards he turned and walked back outside.
“Well, this is going to be an interesting day. I wonder if anyone else is going to show up today or not.” Kagome said.
“Well, I just want to hold you a bit and relax while Shiko is playing with Sango and Shippo.” Inuyasha replied.
After an hour of cuddle time the two get up and head outside just to hear Shiko ask Sango the following questions.
“Aunt Sango who are all those people? Are they nice? Why are they coming here? Can I play with them? Do you think that they will stay for supper? Why is Uncle Miroku holding that lady’s hands? Why….”
“Shiko, why don’t you go ask your mom and dad if you can play with the people and who they are while I go have a talk with Miroku.” Sango interrupted her to say.
After watching Shiko skip over to her parents Sango stormed over to Miroku and growled at him.
“Sango, honest all I have done is hold her hands and it’s because she told me that I am supposed to be her soul mate and that she knows because she is a Goddess First Class. Also she said she knows the name of your soul mate. I also want to say sorry for all the times I touched you Sango I really thought that you were meant for me or I would not have done that.” Stated Miroku with a deep sincerity in his voice and eyes.
After thinking a minute Sango replied that she would let it slide and that they could still be friends.
Kagome called over to them saying, “Hey if you guys are done come on over here cause we have some news for everyone.”
So the whole group walked over to sit down around and by the Goshinboku tree, with Hiei and Inuyasha sitting up in the branches of the tree itself.
“Once everyone got settled Kagome opened her mouth to start talking when her she heard a phone ring from above her in the tree. Raising her finger to signal that she wanted to wait a minute to find out who was on the phone she raised her eyes to her mate’s and waited patiently.
After putting away the phone Inuyasha replied saying, “Keh, just the Asshole sayin that he hired a few more workers and the housing is just now finished and furnished. Which by the size of this crowd is probably a good thing.
“Alright.” Kagome replied with a nod. “Here is what we are going to do. If everyone who is here would let me know your names please and let me know if you are a fighter, a strategiest, if you have money to help aquire the weapons or travel that we need and so forth. That would help a lot. Thanks, oh and please one at a time. I will start with myself and my mate and for those humans who do not understand it is a demon term meaning the equivalent of Husband. And before you panic, no not all demons are evil or are going to kill you. Some are, but then again so are some humans. Alright, my name is Kagome Higurashi Takahashi, my mate is the one sitting in the tree in the red hakama, and his name is Inuyasha Takahashi and you are at the Higurashi Family Shrine. We will let you go next little one.”
Sitting in Kagome’s lap beaming at everyone was a very cute little girl.
“My name is Sakura Hoshiko Takahashi, but you can call me Shiko.” Shiko proudly said
“And I’m Shippo. I’m a fox demon and I don’t hurt anyone unless you are a bad guy.” Announced the little boy who was leaning against Kagome’s leg licking a sucker.
And around the circle it went naming everybody until supper time to find out that everyone that was supposed to be a part of their group was actually there that day with the exception of Sesshomaru who showed up by the time dinner plans were being discussed.
“This Sesshomaru has ordered food and for it to be delivered in 30 minutes by Jaken, Miko.” Sesshomaru stated.
“Thanks, then I guess we will wait then eat then everyone can find a room for themselves or for their group tonight. Then tomorrow for a way to relax before getting serious I propose a whole day of karaoke.” Kagome stated.
No one turned down the idea of food, bed and then fun the next day. So after eating they all wnet to their separate rooms and quickly fell asleep.
