It was towards closing time at the little restaurant where two girls that looked to be 18 or 19 sat eating and well chatting like more teenage girls tend to do. One seemed more alive then ever and the other definitely happy about what she was hearing.

"How did you hear about this?" The first girl asked.

"I heard him talking in his sleep about it," The second girl said with an earsplitting grin.

"Wow! I didn't think you guys were doing that already," The first girl said with a megablush erupting on her cheeks.

"Hey! We weren't doing that! We were watching TV and the dork fell asleep on me. I didn't have the heart to wake him. He looked soooo cute like that. Don't let him know I said that of course. He's still afraid of that promise with his mother." The second explained while her own megablush threatened to take her whole body.

"I still can't believe that he's going to do that! I never thought I see the day." The first said.

"You and me both. Yea, things have been going a lot better lately, but I feel like something is just waiting to happen. Especially after everything's finally settled down after...well you know. He decided." The second said stumbling on the last part.

"Well, I must admit I wasn't completely surprised he decided what he did. We could all tell who he was going to pick. It was just a matter of time until he did. With him though you'd think he'd never get the gall to make a decision about it. Too bad you didn't see it either till he came out and showed it to you. You are always missing things that are right under your nose you know that?" The first said a little saddened at first but gaining back her cheerfulness.

"Well, I better get back. I told Ranma I'd be cooking for him tonight and I want it to be perfect. I hope he doesn't wait too long with this decision as he did with the first one." The second said as she started to get up and get ready to leave. "I'll come by again Ukyo! I do so love our little chats. Tell Konatsu I said hi!"

"I will! Don't be a stranger Akane. I quite enjoy our chats as well. Now go make that bottomless pit of a boyfriend of yours something to eat." Ukyo said as Akane was heading toward the door. "Oh! And tell Shampoo to come by. I want to hear what's going on with her and Ryoga lately. Their relationship is a little bit more juicier!"

"UKYO!" Akane said as she stuck her tongue out at Ukyo. "I'll tell her. Later!"

"Bye!" Ukyo said as Akane walked out the doors.
