I do not own Ranma 1/2. Rumiko Takahaishi owns it...and I'm grateful she made the manga open-ended.

It was valentines Day...and Ranma dreaded this day. He grew green to his face whenever he heard those words. That happened more so because of his engagements (well, Kodachi doesn't count since she's just moist between the legs for Ranma). Still, that didn't stop her from going all out At this point, Ranma felt like he'd be safer if he'd bent over and let Ryoga have his way. Then again the pig-boy has his way with Akane every night as P-chan.

"Damn...I hate today of all days," Ranma then groaned.

"Ranma be a man and embrace Valentines day!" Ryoga snapped.

"That's easy for you to say...you have just one fiancée to deal with..." Ranma warned.

"Damn...that's gonna make March 14 a living hell for you," Ryoga then returned.

"If I weren't born a Saotome...I'd not be in this shit," Ranma then said.

"It could had been worse...you could had been a girl who fell into the spring of drowned man," Ryoga then said.

"Don't even joke like that," Ranma then said.

"I suggest you'd do March 14 now."

"With how hard Akane hits...that's suicide."

"Right, I do remember that...Saotome...you will owe me."

"Trust me...if I'd owe you like that I'd gladly bend over."

"Unless you want to pay me right now," Ryoga then said.

"Fine, I'm damned if Akane even thinks what I'm doing..." Ranma trailed.

While Ranma and Ryoga talked about their "payment", Akane came from the candy shop to get Ranma some chocolates. She even realized that Saotome would not like it if she prepared the chocolates herself. She then stopped, and saw Shampoo come out of the flower shop, and went inside of he candy shop. She waited. As soon as Shampoo came out...

"What you doing here?" Shampoo asked.

"That's funny, I was going to ask the same thing," Akane said calmly...though a bit homicidally.

"Hey what's going on here?" Ukyo then asked...as she too came out of the candy shop.

"I go give candy and flowers to Ran-chan!" Shampoo then declared.

"Wait right there," Akane ordered.

She went in and brought two dozen red roses. Ukyo then went in and done the same thing. This was going to turn out to be one of those days where things really did get out of hand. Then they heard that laugh of Kodachi Kuno. Akane hissed like a cat. Shampoo noted this, as she really couldn't stand Ukyo, or that laugh either. Kodachi had fresh red roses from her garden and a giant box of candies. This was going to turn into a challenge.

"Alright, the first one to make it to my house with just one rose left, gets to go to a love motel with Ranma," Akane then said.

"You don't even give him that satisfaction," Ukyo protested.

"You no give man his due!" Shampoo snapped.

"I like this challenge, maybe Akane will become a woman after all," Kodachi said with a broad smile.

"I accept your challenge Akane Tendo!" Ukyo and Shampoo both said at the same time.

"What say you?" Akane then asked Kodachi.

"I accept!" Kodachi then said.

"Good we get started...NOW!" Akane roared.

It was on. Akane knew she'd be safer not to run with a blade...instead her hands did the talking as she grabbed Shampoo's roses, and ripped them from the stems one by one. She's lost some roses thanks to Ukyo's hidden spatulas. Kodachi tried to cheat to creat an unbreakable rose....but they all wilted out and died. Akane, Ukyo and Shampoo all were destroying each other's roses. When they got to the Tendo house...Ranma wasn't surprised. In fact the look on his face told the story on why he hated today.

"You know, for once can you four do things without turning it into a contest?" Ranma asked.

"BE GREATFUL I BROUGHT YOU ANYTHING!" Akane raged.

"Ryoga...you see that bucket there?" Ranma then asked.

"I got it...I already know you're about to get physically sick," Ryoga then said.

"Who can get physcially sick on Valentines Day?" Ukyo wondered.

"Ranma, you no look good," Shampoo then said. "You go lie down!"

"That's a good idea," Kodachi said.

Ranma excused himself out of sight and he really let loose. Akane then found out that Ranma hated these competitions for his affection. Still, it didn't affect him any other day. Ryoga then ventured a very good guess.

"He's probably sick and tired of the competition you know," Ryoga then said.

"He shouldn't be!" Akane protested.

"Think about it...he's been in situations that the four of you never would have been in," Ryoga then admonished.

"Do you think he'd liked our roses?" Ukyo asked.

"Yeah...if you didn't destroy 'em...and if Kodachi would had used store brought roses," Ryoga then said.

"I got an idea!" Ukyo then said, "we got time before the flower shop closes!"

"We go make up for Ran-chan!" Shampoo declared.

They all then went back to the flower store, and cleaned up the mess they made. They then decided to get one big bouquet of flowers for Ranma and then got an apology card. Ranma is right, for once, they can quit fighting over him. Ranma then found out what Ryoga had done through Kasumi, and he just nodded. He knew he really would have to pay him back. Once the girls came back, Ranma wasn't sick. In fact he read the aura, and it was just calm. He then gave a smile and finally relaxed. Though he really didn't want to think about the payback Ryoga had in mind for him.
