Ranma 1/2 Fan Fiction ❯ Kaxian Tendo ❯ The Cat's Out of the Bag ( Chapter 2 )

Kaxian was right outside of the Cat Café, with a sad look on her face, which hasn't gone unnoticed by Cologne.

 

`She's still thinking about what happened at Tofu's office.' She thought. `It could have gone better if only that near sited fool learned to handle his emotions.'

 

*FLASHBACK*

 

“So you're saying…” Tofu said trying to understand the situation.

 

“Yes, I'm sorry for your loss, but Xian Pu didn't mean to put Kasumi's life at risk, but part of her is in…” Kaxian said, but was interrupted by Tofu.

 

“Please leave.” Tofu said, sounding uncharacteristically cold.

 

“Excuse me?” Kaxian asked.

 

“You may look like the woman I love, but part of you looks like the woman that almost killed her, so please leave before I do something I'll regret.” Tofu said, causing Kaxian to look sad and Cologne to get angry.

 

“But…” Kaxian said as she had tears in her eyes.

 

“GET OUT!” Tofu yelled with tears in his as well.

 

“Very well.” Kaxian said. “I'll go.” She left, but Cologne stood behind.

 

“You better think about what you have just did boy, because if you show that much hostility to my great-granddaughter again, I'll make sure you'll do more than regret it.” Cologne said angry as she left.

 

*END FLASHBACK*

 

That was a few minutes ago, and Kaxian, still sad and angry over the events, is standing outside of the Café, thinking about how Mus Tu would take it.

 

`What if he has the same reaction as Dr. Tofu?' Kaxian thought. `I already lost one friend because of my existence, I don't want to loose another!'

 

“Kaxian? What are you thinking?” Cologne said.

 

“Great-grandmother, I'm worried that Msu Tu well react the same way Tofu did. I lost one friend from Kasumi, I don't want to loose the other friend from my Xian Pu half.” Kaxian replied.

 

“Kaxian, I know you're new to this world, so you don't know Tofu that well. That fool keeps loosing his emotions and cool whenever he was around Kasumi.” Cologne said.

 

“I know Great-Grandmother, I still have Kasumi's memories, but it still hurts.” Kaxian said. “I hope Mus Tu takes what I'm about to say well.”

 

“Only one way to find out.” Cologne said as Kaxian took a deep breath and walked in.

 

“Welcome to the Cat Caf…” Mus Tu started to say, but then noticed who came in. “Oh, hey Kasumi, you want your usual? Nice hair color by the way.” `She looks a little different.' He thought. `Almost like Xain… nah.'

 

“Sit down boy.” He then heard Cologne say. “This young woman may look like Kasumi, but she is not 100% Kasumi.” He than sat down, but before Cologne can say anything else, Mus Tu had to ask her something.

 

“Hey, have you seen Xian Pu? She was supposed to be back a few minutes ago.” He asked.

 

“That's what we want to talk to you about.” Kaxian said.

A few minutes later, after Kaxian told Mus Tu the whole story, he didn't move, cry, or anything at all. He just adjusted his glasses and looked at Kaxian.

 

“So you're half Kasumi, and half Xian Pu?” Mus Tu asked. He still sat still for a few moments, until he got up. “Excuse me for a moment.” He said as he left. Kaxian tried to get up to stop him, but Cologne blocked her with her cane and shook her head.

`She's… she's gone… or is she?' Mus Tu thought. `Xian Pu did a merger spell, so half of her is in that woman that walked in… so she's not really gone! But… what about Kasumi? She's still here too, but what happened at Dr. Tofu's must have hurt her deeply. If I ever see that man, I'll make sure I'm the last one he sees. It's not going too be easy, but as long as I know part of Xian Pu or Kasumi is still here, it'll be tough to do, but for them, I'll get through this… and be her friend.' Mus Tu thought as he left the kitchen.

`Oh, what if he's as mad with me as Tofu was?' Kaxian worriedly thought. `I haven't even done anything and already there's trouble, why…' But before she could finish, Mus Tu came out into the dinning room.

 

“Hi, my name is Mus Tsu, what's yours?” He said friendly as he took out his hand. At first, Kaxian didn't understand what was going on, but then she saw his face and realized the gesture.

 

“Kaxian. Kaxian Tendo.” She said with a smile.

Two weeks later, things have gone better for the newly created Kaxian. She was sad that Dr. Tofu moved five days after talking to him, but she still has her other friends for support. She worked at the Cat Café over the weekends and trained in the training hall on weekdays when not cooking for her family. She's also teaching Ranma and Akane moves from her Xian Pu half. Everything was going great and it couldn't get better.

 

Until one day, when walking to work, she noticed a poster…

 

`A team martial arts tournament? Msu Tu, Ranma, and Akane would be happy to hear this.' She thought as she suddenly got a headache. `Oh, this is the third time today. If this continues, I have to see the new doctor.' She thought. She then read the rest of the poster. `A free trip to Hong Kong for the winners? Now I'm positive everyone will like this.'

 

A few minutes later, at the cat café, Kaxian told Msu Tu the good news.

 

“A trip to Hong Kong? WOW! That sounds great Kaxian!” Msu Tu said.

 

“I thought so too.” Kaxian said. “So how about it great-grandmother? Can we enter?”

 

“I don't see why not.” Cologne said. “Do any of the others know about this?”

 

“Not yet, but I plan to tell them soon.” Kaxian said. “It should be fun.” She said with a warm smile. Just then, she got another headache, only worse than the ones before. “G…Great-Grandmother, I don't… feel… so…” She couldn't finish because she passed out. Just as Cologne and Msu Tu rushed to their friend, there was a bright glow, when all of a sudden, just as it started, it died down and then there was Kaxian… and a purple cat.

 

`Wha…' The cat thought. `Where am I? What…' The cat then saw Kaxian on the ground. “MEOW?!” The cat said, at least to the humans in the room, but to the cat, she said…

`ME?! How am I facing myself?!' Then it dawned on the new feline. `Did I just meow?!' Cologne and Msu Tu are still speechless, because they had no idea what was going on.

 

“Will somebody stop that shouting?” Kaxian asked when she came to. However, what she saw was… “THAT'S XIAN PU'S CURSED HALF! WHAT THE HELL?!” The cat winced because of the volume of the voice.

 

`And she thinks I was loud?!' The cat thought.

 

“Well, somebody was shouting!” Kaxian said.

 

“Meow?” The cat said.

 

“You didn't say anything?” Kaxain said, causing Mus Tu to look confused and Cologne to think for a moment.

 

“Kaxian?” Cologne asked.

 

“Yes?” The woman replied….

 

“Meow?”

 

…at the same time as the cat.

 

“WHAT?!” Kaxian said.

 

“MEOW! MEOW! MEOW!” The cat angrily said.

 

“What do you mean `You can't be me!? I'm me?!'” The woman said angrily.

 

“The cat.” Cologne sighed in anger. The cat then looked at her, wondering what she did wrong.

 

“Meow! Meow meow meow!” The cat said.

 

“What did the cat say?” Cologne asked Kaxian.

 

“She keeps saying that she's me! But how is this possib…” Then it dawned on all three of them.

 

“THE MERGER!” The two humans said.

 

“MEOW!” The cat said.

 

“This is getting interesting.” Cologne said.
