A songfic by Tsukino Kage Spectre based on the song of the same title performed by the Carpenters, with some lyrics changed to fit the situations.

(Opens on the first meeting between Ranma and the Tendos, as Ranma just finishes explaining the curse and Akane insults him after they've been forced together.)
We fought each other, on the first night that we met
(Akane clocks Ranma with the table and he is waylaid groaning to the ground.)
Together we've been miserable, I have many regrets
The ordinary problems, have been too hard to face
(A collage of similar incidents appears, the movement is only until Ranma is hit by something then it freezes in that pose before moving off screen.)
And very little changes have been slowly taking place
(Fades back to one such incident after the Saffron incident...)
You're always finding something, is wrong in what I do
(... Ranma is being berated by an angry Akane as he is groaning on the ground...)

(... then gets punted through the roof after a frustrated scream from his violent fiance.)

(He lands through the roof of Ucchan's, moaning on a crashed table, as Ukyo cries out.)

(She's by his side immediately and tries to feel his head for bumps...)

(... then Ryoga shows up, with Kuno in tow screaming at him.)

(... as Ukyo bashes them both over the head.)

(Meanwhile, back at the Tendo's, Akane is still in a full, seething rage...)

(...stomping to the dojo...)

(... she proceeds to demolish a dummy with a clip-on pigtail...)

(... and get taunted by Nabiki, at whom she screams back at...)

(... she thinks of Ranma as a ghostly image of him floats before her...)
Let's leave this life we've made behind, and make another start
(... and screams some more out of rage.)

(Ranma, meanwhile, lands at the Nekohanten, and is glomped by Xian Pu...)

(... only to get Ku Lon's staff at the back and fall over paralyzed...)

(Once everyone was gone, Ranma sneaks out of the room back to the Tendo's but is seen by Xian Pu who gives chase. The chase attracks the Kuno siblings and Ryoga, then Ukyo.)
