Chapter 3

One week later we visit the Tendo dojo and....

"Ranma!"

"Akane!"

Thump! Thump! Thump! Creek!

Nabiki groaned, turning over in her bed to lay on her stomach. She turned bleery eyes to her alarm clock at her bed side. 6 am! *They they go again! I almost wish they were fighting again.*
Being newlywed, Akane and Ranma were eager to show their love and affection for one another. Unfortunately, they were quite vocal about it. Embrassingly vocal about it!!

"Knock it off in there! Some of us are trying to get some sleep, damnit!" Nabiki screeched out loud, before throwing her pillow over her head.

The creeking noise stopped. Muffled giggling could be heard through the wall.

In Kasumi's room, Kasumi shifted restlessly in her bed. *I better go by the market today and get some earplugs. Maybe, I'll stop by and visit Dr. Tofu, too."

Soun, meanwhile sleep the sleep of the dead.

And in Genma and Nodoka's bedroom, Nodoka sighed happily as Genma snored. "I'm going to be a grandmother! My son is so manly!"

Later that morning after breakfast, Nabiki gathered the blushing couple into her bedroom.

"Here, take this." she said, handing Ranma a thick sealed envelope.

Ranma opened it while Akane peered over his shoulder. He pulled out a letter and read it the contents quickly as Akane lifted out two tickets. A question in their eyes.

"Since you never had a proper honeymoon, this is my gift to you." answered Nabiki.

"But how-" Akane happily asked, clearly delighted with the gift. She snatched them away from Ranma for a closer look.

"The money I received from selling info about your wedding actually paid for the tickets. Ironic, huh? So, now you can have a honeymoon to you want to remember. Everything has been taken care of. All you have to do is show up."

"Oh, Nabiki. Thank you." Akane rushed forward to give her sister a bear hug.

"Yeah, yeah. Stupid, guilty conscious made me do it." Nabiki gasped at the strength of her little sister. Ranma was right about her having the strength of a gorilla. *Geez!*

"Whatever prompted you, thanks a lot." Ranma smiled and went to hug her too.

Nabiki pushed them away for some much needed oxygen."One thing, this must be kept quiet."

"Why?" Akane asked, holding the the tickets in reverence.

"I have something in the works and I need you to stay put until at least next week."

They shrugged in unison.

Nabiki grinned. *Perfect*

***********************

Nabiki headed with the dynamic duo to the dojo where her father and Mr. Saotome played their daily game of shogi. Auntie Nodoka and Kasumi sat aways from them having tea and chatting. Nonchalantly taking out an envelope from her school uniform, she handed it to her father.

"Oh, daddy this came for you yesterday. I forgot to give it to you. Sorry." Shrugging her shoulders innocently, Nabiki smiled.

"Thank you dear. Wonder what it is?" Ripping the letter open, Soun quickly scanned it. Suddenly, he surged forward, waving the letter around. "Saotome! This letter says I've won an all expense paid trip for two to Yokohama for the annual Sakura Wine festival. Do you know what this means?

"Free wine!!" They hugged themselves as the danced around doing a little jig. Everyone sweatdropped.

"Father really." Kasumi chided.

Nodoka looked on with disapproval as she unconsciously touched the covered katana by her side.

Thinking this trip was all too convenient, Ranma and Akane looked questioning at Nabiki, who in turned rolled her eyes at them.

"How long is this trip for Soun?"

Hearing the steel in his wife's voice stopped Genma's dance fever number real fast.

Soun anwered quickly to save his friends hide. "It's for an entire week. What a nice prize, huh? Ha..ha?!"

"Genma , do you thinks it's appropriate to just go off to a wine festival? What about your duties? And Soun, do you honestly think you should leave your daughters home alone?" Nodoka questioned, not really expecting an answer.

Not liking where this line of questioning was headed, Nabiki took charge.

"Auntie, they'd only be gone for a week. It's not like we can't function without them. We'd
get more accomplished without them under foot. And with Mr. Saotome gone, we'd actually have some food in the house. For a change."

"Hey!" shouted an embarrassed Genma. *What a cheeky girl. No respect for her elders.*

"Besides," continuing on as she ignored Genma. "If you make them stay, they'll just be whining messes the whole time. Think of it as a mini vacation...for us." stated Nabiki.

"You're right. You two can go and have fun." Nodoka nodded her permission.

"Yeah!" The two fathers began their little dance of joy again, while everyone just shook their heads in shame.

"Um, we should be going to school. See you later." Ranma said, as he grabbed Akane and Nabiki arms and propelled them out of the dojo.

The trio walked to talking among themselves about Nabiki's plan. Ranma, of course on the fence, while the sisters walked side by side.

"It's perfect. While the parents are out of town, you two go on your honeymoon and no ones the wiser." explained Nabiki. "That way they can't possibly distrub you. Especially now since they're obsessed with being grandfathers."

"Yeah. I can just imagine pop following me and bugging me about an heir. Geez." Ranma snorted.

Akane looked up at him exasperated. "This is a serious discussion, Ranma. Get down here and walk to class with us like a normal person."

"Nyah." Licking his tongue out at her. "You're just jealous, tomboy. You wish you weren't so clumsy, so you could be as naturally talented as m-" began Ranma.

SPLASH!

Ranma cringed as the cold water hit him. He sighed as he felt his body change from a boy into a buxom red haired girl. *How did that old lady always know?!*

"I see your natural talents didn't see that one coming." Nabiki inquired with a patronizing look upon her face.

"You'd think he'd learn by now. What were you saying about your talents, Ranma?" sneered, a laughing Akane.

Ranma-chan just blushed angrily as she continued walking down the road. The sisters giggled among themselves, as mumbled words like "uncute tomboy" and "mercenary girl" flitered back to them.

At the school gate stood the usual crowd of idiots waiting for the daily bout/beat down between Kuno and Ranma or Kuno and Akane. Sometimes for sport, they tag teamed him for the crowds enjoyment.

Except Kuno wasn't at the gate like usual. An unknown stranger was. Holding a magnificant bouquet of red roses. Who was this guy? All the crowd knew was he was a transfer student and he was gorgeous. Well, the women knew anyway.

"Nabiki Tendo, I presume. Greetings, my name is Isumu Kimura. These are for you." He stepped forward to hand her the bouquet.

Nabiki arched her left brow in amazement. *Who was this joker?* She quickly looked him over from head to toe and then down at her flowers and quickly tabulated her calulations up. He was cute.Tall with black, wavy hair and piercing hazel eyes, he looked good and knew it. He obviously had money or pretended to. The flowers she had were of top notch quality. But, Nabiki wasn't born yesterday and smelled a rat. Isumu Kimura, huh? I'll have to run a check on you later, but for now I might as well play nice.

"They're lovely. Thank you." Nabiki smiled demurely.

The crowd began to mutter loudly to themselves. This was news! Ice Queen Nabiki had a suitor and he was a looker too. And Nabiki seemes to like him. The talking got louder.

Inwardly gritted her teeth. She was the one who was on top of the gossip mill, not a part of it. And she knew this little scene would be talked about for the rest of the day. But she would play along. Something about this guy just raised internal red flags within her. *Yup, I definitely don't trust this guy at all.*

"May I walk you to your class?" Isumu asked, holding out his left arm for her to clasp.

"I'd be delighted." Nabiki agreed, taking his arm.

Akane and Ranma just stared after them. The crowd went wild in excitement.

"I protest! Vile ravisher of young maidens, release thy hold on Nabki Tendo this minute!" a voice rang out. Like we don't all know who it is!

Everyone turned to see Kuno come charging at Isumu and Nabiki, bokken at the ready.

"Sigh, sometimes I really hate this town." stated Nabiki as she waited to watch this idiocy unfold.

In the meantime, Ryoga was making friends with the wild life of Africa.

"WHERE IN THE WORLD AM I NOW?" He shouted. He turned around wildly. There was nothing for miles. All he could see was tall grass and a few sprinkling of trees. It was completely barren. Except... For that pride of lions. Angry to be woken up from their noon day nap, lions.

"Oh, crap!"

Well, what did ya think about this chapter? Nabiki has a suitor and Ryoga has a sworn enemy out for revenge. Why does that sound so familiar...? Anyhoo, hope people liked the chapter. And don't worry, the rest of the cast will show up next chapter I promise. And Ryoga will actually stay in Nerima for an entire chapter. Bye!
