Silent Whisper

Chapter 2
I saw her bleed, you heard me breath

As I passed through the over crowed halls I searched for her face in the masses of bodies. I still couldn't muster any reason why I should feel so drawn to her. Like a moth to the flames…

On my way to the cafeteria I was knocked over twice but I didn't drop my things like before, but I did scrap up my knees along with bruising my elbows catching myself on the hard, ice cold floor. I stopped by my locker first so I wasn't lugging around my books around. Hopefully, if I was lucky, my balance would improve if I wasn't carrying my things. By the locker was a ladies bathroom so I decided to use it now so I don't have to go during class. I walked over and opened the first door. It seemed pretty clean but there were some trails of toilet paper and dirt on the ground. There were a few plastic plants and some paintings on the ways to make it look more decent. Nice trick. I walked over to the second door when I stopped.
“You thought you could have gotten away with doing that to me, did you?”
“N-n-no…please! You got the situation mixed up! I would never do that to you-“
“Shut up! Who said you have permission to speak? Who?!”
“No-no one! I'm sorry!”
“Oh yes you will be sorry.”
“Pl-please…have mercy on me…”
“I don't have mercy for anyone. You should have thought about that before.”

A muffled scream was followed by that. “Oh no…” I was frozen into place. Who could be in there? Should I get the teacher? What did that girl do to the other one? I moved back slightly and I knocked over one of the fake plants placed by the door. I snapped my head back towards the door leading to the bathroom itself. Silence except for a few more muffled screams. I felt cold in the pit of my stomach. Ice was pumping through my veins and freezing me more into place. “Why do I have to be such a coward?” I don't know what I was thinking but I felt the warm rush of adrenaline when I unwillingly put my hand on the door handle. I closed my eyes as I pulled the door open.

The screams came up louder as I looked inside. They were in the biggest stall. I could see one of the girls on the toilet seat and the other in front. I walked slowly inside and towards the stall. I felt like I had to do something to help that girl. I forgot to shut the door slowly behind me. It made a slamming sound that echoed through the room. I froze once again. My whole body felt cold and hollow. “Oh god…”
“Who's there?!”
My body shook at the voice. I heard the other girl whimper a few seconds afterward. I heard foot steps in the stale, tapping in time with my thudding heart. My vision was pulsing around me making me dizzy and my sight blurry. “I have to hide…”
“God damn it…there's always problems in the damn school. Don't move Annabelle. I'm not finished with you.” I heard the lock on the door and on an impulse I through myself into the stall next to them. I closed the door as quickly as possible but stopped myself before it slammed again the silver lock. Just as I silently closed it the stall next to me opened. I peered through the space between the door and the wall. I saw a flash of red hair and white skin. It was the girl from earlier!!! She quietly and gracefully moved about the bathroom looking around, looking for me none the less. The wall next to me started to shake. I saw a body curled up next to me convulsing terribly. What was the girl doing to Annabelle? I was torn out of my thoughts as the stall down from me was thrown open. It shook the stalls. My pulse sped up as the thunderous noise came closer and closer to me. I knew it didn't do much but I got up on the toilet and curled into myself. My eyes were wide open as I felt my life was ending in painfully fast seconds. I saw shoes at the stall next to me and that's when I felt my time was over…
