[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Mr. Hiroi Nohara and Noue Mizuki
A small, sliver haired, boy with gold glistening eyes walked nonchalantly to school. He's wearing the school uniform of black pants and jacket with a white top. The boy's tie was missing and his collar was open two button's down, popped. Behind him a girl was running in her miniskirt uniform, also black and white, trying desperately to catch up with the young boy.
“Mizuki-kun! Mizuki-kun! Wait up for me!” She screamed.
“Hmph!” Mizuki grunted as he continued to walk forward, shrugging the ridiculous girl away. How the girls at his school annoyed him. They only talk to him, in the hopes of going out with him and then later bragging about it. That was why he's the quiet one. No one bothers him and he bothers no one. It's a great cycle; if only those ridiculous girls would get a clue and stop badgering him.
----
The school bell was at least a quarter of an hour away from ringing when Hiroi Nohara walked into the school grounds talking to one of his students. The girl dressed in the black and white of the school uniform looked short compared to the tall and lean teacher. His black suit gave him the essence of professionalism, yet his shoulder length hair and hazy grey eyes couldn't help but attract the attention of every hormonal teenage girl in the school. He smiled at her as he looked down at her face.
“I must part ways with your here, Nao-chan, but I will see you in homeroom.” Mr. Nohara said patting her away from him. She nodded with a brimming smile before running off to the courtyard to join her friends. He shook his head slightly with something of a chuckle before going into the faculty lockers to exchange his shoes for slippers.
----
Mizuki walked into the school pulling off his chucks and slipping on his white slippers. He walked past a couple of classmates, totally ignoring them as his sights were set on his seat in the front next to the window. Oh the view he would get from there. Noticing that he's a bit early, Mizuki put his head down on his desk so as to lift it when class was to start.
---
Hiroi hung up his jacket before grabbing his portfolio and peering inside. After a quick check of its contents, he looked at his watch and covered it up again with his sleeve. He bade good morning to the rest of the teachers there before heading out to his classroom. After the climb up the stairs he walked down the hallway and saw the classrooms filling up with students. He looked above him to the sign at the door that read 2B and took a slight pause before opening the door and walking inside. He smiled as he put his portfolio down on the desk.
“Morning, class.” He said cheekily. Drearily, Mizuki picked his head up, rubbing his eyes from the quick nap he just had. Mizuki looked up at Mr. Nohara, trying to hear what was going on and if he missed anything important while trying to wake up.
“Good morning Mr. Nohara!” The class chorused. Hiroi turned to the board and wrote the date on the left hand corner.
“Remember that the kendo team is having tryouts all this week. Also the school festival committee is meeting today after school to discuss the winter festival. They need four representatives from each homeroom, which means two boys and two girls from 2B. Any volunteers?”
Mizuki groaned. Volunteers meant that the class picked who would be representatives!
“I might as well get it over with........” Mizuki raised his hand and the class was all a murmur. Now the class was fighting with each other as to who the other three would be. Being with Mizuki meant you were cool, no matter what the situation. Almost all the girls and a few guys raised their hands trying to get Mr. Nohara's attention to pick them.
“Mr. Nohara pick me! No Mr. Nohara pick ME! No ME!!” Random students had yelled out.
“Now, now ladies. Settle down. This is quite the turnout... Let's see...How about. Hara Keiko and Inoue Tsubaki. And for the boys...Honda Tohru with Mizuki-kun, that makes four.” The class groaned and he put his hands up defensively. “They'll be another chance for the summer festival.”
Mizuki sighed and the class settled down for the lesson to start. As Mr. Nohara turned his back, Mizuki could hear the hissing from the girls towards Keiko and Tsubaki, while the guys teased Tohru.
“How can he not notice this?” Mizuki asked in a whispered tone. Putting it aside he stared out the window.
Hiroi turned around and reached into his portfolio to take out the daily handouts. He went down the straight rows and put the kanji filled papers on the desk. He hovered over Mizuki as he counted out his papers and put them down on his desk.
“Thanks for volunteering.” He said slipping Mizuki a couple of the handouts. Mizuki turned his head and looked up at Mr. Nohara.
“No prob. It's the least I could do since I know no one else was going to do it if I didn't want to.” Mizuki smirked and turned his head back to the windows, not even glancing at the handouts that Mr. Nohara was giving him. Hiroi just smiled before continuing to hand things out. He fully understood what Mizuki was talking about, since the classroom dynamics left boys like him at the top with everyone under him. He went back to the front desk.
