twilights first day of school

Ten years had past since that fateful day and Twilight never got over it, she blamed herself for her brothers death. Thanks to the elves that had lived near by, the mansion had been restored to it's original state even the furniture was the same before the fire. The mansion being saved with everything in it did cheer Twilight up but only slightly, her eyes never had that spark of life like they used to before Amon's death.
"Twilight! Breakfeat is ready!" Grim called out from downstairs. She had gotten slightly taller, her hair was now almost waist length, but her style and color choice in cloths didn't change one bit.
"I'll be there in a minute!" Twilight called back, and Grim guessed Twilight was in her brothers study again blaming herself. Twilight had grown up into a fine young lady, her hair was now midback, her eyes were a deep blue, her normal hurt expresion was shown as she gently ran her hand across the painting of a young man that looked slightly like her except he didn't have the raspberry tint mixed in with the black and silver in his hair like she did, he was sitting down on a bench surroneded by sakura trees outside while holding a five year old version of Twilight that was smiling along with him.
'Amon, what I wouldn't give just to turn back time and apologize, then maybe you would still be alive.' she thought as a few tears fell before she wiped them away.
Twilight had blamed herself for Amon's death even after it was discovered that his death was not an acident but by someone that had wanted to kill both Amon and Twilight. The only reason that Twilight was not caught was because her and Amon had fought shortly before hand and she had run away, Grim was sent out to find her while Amon stayed and waited. Grim had told Twilight countless times that it was not her fault her brother was killed. But Twilight didn't care, 'cause to her it was.
"TWILIGHT!!" Grim shouted, which made Twilight jump to her senses. She quickly composed herself as she looked in a mirrior untill her eyes turned a regular dark blue. You see when Twilight was born, Grim and the other elves, thought that it would be good to have her eyes change color to match her emotions. They saw it as a gift, Twilight saw it as a curse. After a few minutes she was down in the kitchen.
"Geeze Twi, normaly you're down here when I call you the first time. Had a hard time figuring out what you were going to wear today?" Grim asked with a smile.
"I'm sorry Grim. I just couldn't figure out what would make a good impresion for my first day." Twilight said with a smile as she sat down.
Grim knew for a fact that Twilight was lieing and that she was faking that smile just so Grim wouldn't worry so she continued to play along. "Twilight, how about I help you out?" Grim asked as Twilight fixed her plate along with hers.
"Please Grim? I really don't know how I am suppose to dress or act around people that aren't...well... like you or the others." Twilight replied with a heavy sigh as she took a bite of her onigiri.
"Well sweetie, you are going to be surronded by people like you ok? Pure human, most of them don't have open minds. They consider us mythical, something that is not true or does not exist. So it will be a huge change for you." Grim said as she watched Twilights eyes change from regular blue to a redish-orange.
"So I am going to be considered a weirdo if I say something about you or the others?" she asked as Grim nodded.
"Mind you, you might find a few who are open minded and would be alright with you talking about us to them but don't worry sweet one I'm sure you will be fine." Grim said as she watched Twilights eyes change from redish-orange back to her regular blue to show she understood and was alright with it.
"Alright Grim lets go." Twilight said after she finished her breakfeast and stood up.
"Ok, so what shall we dress you in my darling little one?" Grim asked as she grabed Twilights arm and basicly dragged her upstairs to Twilights room.
"Anything black." came Twilights natrual response.
"Twilight, must you wear black all the time?" Grim asked as they entered Twilights room.
"Must you wear black and green victorian styled clothing all the time?" Twilight shot back.
Grim only rolled her eyes but smiled as they went to Twilights closet. "You do realize that people are going to call you a vampire right? I mean you're pale, you have exotic hair thats your natrual color, and your eyes change color depending on your mood, and you are going to be wearing all black?" Grim asked unsure about Twilights decion.
"So? You say it as if it is a bad thing, besides I was raised by a vampire, elf crossbreed, and hang out with elves around here. So what if they think that, I will see it as a very high praise." Twilight replied with dignity.
"Only you, little Twilight only you." Grim said as she pulled out a black kimono. "Hows this?"
"No that won't do, I am going to a school full of human people, and thats one of my good Kimonos, I have an idea." Twilight said as she walked up next to Grim and pulled out a black satin Ao Dai with a dark sapphire blue line and clasp and sash to match. "This will do better." she said as she went and changed into it.
"Only you Twilight." Grim said with a sigh as she rolled her eyes as Twilight came back in while closing the last clasp near her neck the tieing the sash to where it flowed at her side.
"Now were are my shoes?" she asked as she looked around before leaning down and fixing the pant leg. "Oh here they are." she said as she picked them up from beside her bed.
Grim rolled her eyes once more but smiled as Twilight came and stood infront of her. "Alright, I can only come with you on the drive but once we get there you're on your own." she stated as Twilights eyes changed to a dark purple. "Don't worry young one, the teachers have all been informed about you so they already have reasons about anything that could be asked about me down to your eyes. You will be fine." she added as Twilights eyes lightned somewhat.
"I still say that this is a curse." Twilight stated as she sighed before her eyes turned back to the regular dark blue.
"It maybe a curse to you but to us it is a gift, since you hide yourself constanly we need to know when you need help sometimes." Grim replied as they started to leave only to have Twilight roll her eyes at Grim.
Grim was surprised that Twilight wasn't fighting her more than she thought she would but Grim was thankful that Twilight was just going to agree to the inevitable, even in the limo Twilight did not protest in the slightest but Grim knew she wanted nothing to do with humans and wanted to stay at the mansion. But as they got to the school she noticed Twilight had her fist clenched as she looked out the tinted window at all the people they passed.
"You'll be fine my young one, Rodger will be here at 2:00 to pick you up ok?" Grim tried to assure her that it was going to be ok.
"Why 2, Grim?" Twilight inquired as the limo was coming up to the front.
"Thats the time your school lets out, Now I love you and be good, I will see you later." Grim said as she hugged Twilight and kissed her forehead before the limo door opened after it stoped.
"Alright Grim." Twilight sighed in deafeat as she got out, the door closing behind her before the limo left. 'This is going to suck.' Twilight thought as she walked into the office while students stared at her and whispered.
"Hello there, I take it you must be our new student Twilight Ryuu?" asked a kind woman at the front desk once Twilight was in the office.
"Yes ma'm thats me." Twilight said timidly as she walked up to the desk but looked down.
"No need to be shy dear, I'm Mrs. Cleo." the bright woman replied as Twilight nodded but still looked down. "You're natural shy aren't you dear?" Cleo asked as she handed Twilight some papers that Twilight guessed were her class shecualdes.
"This is my first time ever being in a public school.." Twilight muttered but it was still loud enough for Cleo to hear.
"I see, well then I'll have one of our other students show you around for a while until you get used to this place k?"
"Yeah, I guess." Twilight answered not really liking the idea that she would be stuck with a stranger during school, but then again she didn't like this whole school idea anyways.
As Cleo looked through some things, the office doors opened which caused Twilight to look in that direction at who had just entered.
The guy that stood there looked as if he was 17 or 18, his hair was jet black that basicly framed his face, his eyes looked storm grey. He wore a plain black t-shirt and baggy dark blue jeans, but as Twilight looked at him she noticed he looked annoyed.
"Rasler? What did you do this time?" Cleo asked as she looked at the boy and sighed.
"Nothing, besides stare out the window." Rasler replied with a shrug.
"What am I going to do with you? This is the tenth time Rasler." Cleo said sternly as she looked at the boy evenly as he walked past Twilight and stood infront of Cleo.
"Just tell me how many days of detention and I will be on my way." Rasler said bored as he looked to the side, looking as if he could care less about what anybody said.
Cleo shook her head before her eyes landed on Twilight which caused her to smile. "No Rasler, you won't get detention this time." she said in such a sweet manor that it ment she had something else planned.
Rasler looked at Cleo confused and wary of what she would do. "Really? Then what am I to do?"
Cleo smiled brightly as she interlaced her fingers together infront of her. "You, Rasler, are going to be a guide for a total of three weeks for our new student."
Rasler shrugged. "That doesn't sound bad at all, when does he arrive?"
"SHE is here right now, and that also means you have to show her to ever class and be there to meet up with her once class is over, and to ensure that she is not messed with. I'm sure you can do that." Cleo said with a smirk as Rasler looked at her blandy which was proof he didn't like the idea.
".....Fine....Where is she and what is her name." Rasler asked a little irked that he had to basicly be a bodygaurd.
"She is right behind you, and her name is Twilight Ryuu." Cleo said very happy that this was going in her favor.
Rasler turned and jumped a tiny bit since he had not noticed Twilight there when he first walked in. "How long have you been there?"
Twilight glared and her eyes turned a slight shade of red. "The whole time, before and after you walked in." she stated slightly annoyed.
Rasler blinked when he saw her eye color, but ignored it thinking it was just his mind playing tricks on him. "So I'm to show her around for three weeks?"
"Yes Rasler, and that means you have to attend all your classes and not skip school or anything until those three weeks are over." Cleo said knowing that he would pull something like that if she did not say something.
"....Fine, I'll do it..I guess." he agreed with a sigh as he shook his head but as he looked at Twilight he blinked since her eyes were now blue. 'What the hell?'
Twilight sighed as she fully calmed down, seeing as she had no choice but to get along with him since she would be stuck with him. "Mrs. Cleo does that include lunch also?" she asked.
"Yes, Miss. Twilight, I noticed you have the same lunch as Rasler which goes for why I said that you, Rasler, are to ensure no one messes with her." Cleo stated as she looked at Rasler.
Both Twilight and Rasler sighed but nodded. "Fine." they replied in unision before leaving the room.
"I can't believe I have to basicly be your body gaurd." Rasler sighed as he shook his head.
"You act as if I am happy with this. Please..If I could I would stay with Grim, this is my first time in a school and I can promise you I already don't like it." Twilight stated matter of factly while she rolled her eyes.
"Are you some spoiled rich kid?"

Rasler looked at her and blinked surprised. "You seem to have some bite, which is strange for a girl."
"Like I said, this is my first time in a school, and the company that lives around me are guys that a girl has to be sharp with or she would be walked all over."
"So you were home schooled? I don't see why I need to make sure no one messes with you, you seem pretty good at defending yourself."
Twilight sighed. "Yes I have been home schooled praticly all my life. And probly because my care taker Grim, doesn't want me to get into any fights since this is a new start for me."
"Why are your eyes a slight shade of red when they were blue a little while ago?" Rasler asked confused as he looked at Twilight.
Twilight froze and looked in a direction so Rasler couldn't see her eyes since she knew they turned grey. "I have no clue what you're talking about. I think your mind is playing tricks on you. My eyes are a regular dark blue." she said with a shrug as she tried to calm down so he couldn't say she was lieing.
Rasler stepped infront of her and made her face him and saw her eyes just as they changed from grey to dark blue. "Ok now I saw your eyes change, so I know I'm not going crazy. How the hell can you do that?"
Twilight looked at him and sighed. "Alright you caught me....they're contacts." she lied so easily, she almost believed it.
"How can they change color like that?" Rasler asked not really believeing this girl infront of him.
"How should I know. Grim got them for me." was all Twilight said with a shrug.
Rasler gave her a skeptical look but just dropped it since the look she gave him showed she was telling the truth or so he thought.

"Why is you name Twilight Ryuu? What does Ryuu even mean?" Rasler asked as to change the subject.
"I was born during the twilight hour, and Ryuu means dragon, it is my famlies last name or was...." Twilight replied as she looked down slightly as her eyes turned deep purple now.
Rasler looked at her confused. "What do you mean by "was" your families last name?" he asked but he was greeted by silence, thats when understanding dawned on him and he looked at her wide eyed. "Hey sorry kiddo, I didn't know you were disowned, I didn't mean to bring that up."
At this Twilight looked at him as if he grew another head. "No, my family is dead. I am the last Ryuu." she said as she willed herself to not cry.
To say Rasler felt like a complete retard was an understatment. "O..oh, I..I'm really sorry then kiddo." he said with an apologetic look.
Twilight sighed and shook her head. "It's alright...Why are you calling me kiddo?" she asked curious as to why this boy she just now met, already had a nickname for her that wasn't a bad one.
Rasler shrugged. "Don't know, I just feel like calling you that, along with Twi." was his simple replie. "It doesn't bother you does it?"
Twilight only shook her head. "Nah it's ok Ras, I don't mind."
