Solais Saoris reclined on a branch high up in a tree in the forest. He had been staring at the sky as it faded from the glorious golden orange of a beautiful afternoon to the somehow sacred shade of purple that comes just between light and dark. Now, however, he was staring at the happy, pretty, and deliciously unaware student that had just come past the tree he was resting in. 'Now this is an interesting development,' he thought to himself, watching as the rather stunning young lady made her merry way past his position, apparently having not seen him, which was good. He stood on his branch and stretched, his wings reaching their full ten foot span, his muscular frame stretching against the black silk shirt he was wearing. His jet-black, shoulder-length hair blew in a gentle breeze that fluttered by, the two locks hanging in front of his eyes shifting slightly. He pushed them away, not noticing as they fell back into place once again, his violet eyes with their somewhat disturbing crimson pupils locked on the lovely girl he'd just seen. Without a sound, he leaped down from the tree, landing softly in the grass, and followed after the girl, being careful not to step on any branches or give away his presence in any other fashion. The black canvas pants he wore whispered softly with each step he took as he followed her at a safe distance.
