Azumi didn't know that the demon is immune to fire and she was having a hard time keeping up with it. The demon knew that she couldn't do anything to him other than throwing weak punches and kicks. He never thought that he'd meet a weak angel and had to waste his time with one. He sighed deeply and shook his head in annoyance.
"Get lost Angel of Fire. You are no match for me" he said firmly and turned to head into a part of the town that most of the humans are gathering.
"I'm not going to give up!" Azumi shouted and again, threw a punch that she thought it would hurt him. He merely stood there and took the punch, it didn't have any effect on him whatsoever.
"If you're going to annoy me like that. I might as well kill you" he turned his head around and snarled at her. That didn't really scare Azumi and she laughed hysterically.
"I'd believe it when I see it" she said and repositioned herself in the air so that she could have a better chance of finding his weak spot.
"Very well then" the demon said and turned his whole body around facing her. He had a crook smile on his dark dirty face. Azumi silently thanked herself for what seemed like a million times for not having too much to eat in the morning, if she had they would all be pouring out of her mouth ages ago.
The demon advanced slowly towards Azumi with his enormous chest strutted out. Azumi reluctantly threw what seemed to be thousands of fire balls towards the demon. However, the more the demon got hit, the more Azumi became irritate because the demon still stood in front of her. She then called out her fire pheonix by writing some sort of strange letters in the air. Finally the pheonix emerged out of the flameable writing and glared down at its enemy.
The demon seemed to care less about the pheonix and gave out a loud yawn. Then his eyes flashed open wide and with a fast movement, he grabbed onto one of the pheonix's legs and pulled it down with all his might. The pheonix shrieked and flapped its wings as it tried to fly upwards. The demon grinned cruelfully and with a quick jerk he pulled the pheonix down to the ground. The pheonix crashed harshly down to the ground, burning all the things that it touched. The demon let out a satisfy laugh and looked up at Azumi.
"Can I have your pheonix as my pet? I'll show it the meaning of fun" he smirked at her and looked down at the pheonix, who was just trying to get up.
"It's not evil like you!" Azumi shouted angrily and drawn her two sabres out. The flame quickly lid up around the blades as they felt the strong grip from their owner.
"Oh, so you finally decided to use weapons huh?" Well I have a little surprise for you" the demon said and he summoned his big long sword. "It's time to play"
The demon smirked and leapt into the air with his sword in hand. With a blink of an eye he brought the sword down onto Azumi.Luckily, Azumi had very good reflexes. She quickly dodged it and used her right sabre to block the next attack. What the demon didn't know was that she is rather good at sword fighting. Whenever the demon strike, she would block it. They went on at each other like that for a bit longer. Both unaware that there were two figures watching them.
"Should we help her, Atsuki?" the girl dressed in a creamy top with a light green overtop, a long with a creamy green skirt asked. The other girl dressed in all bright colors shook her head.
"She doesn't need our help right now Misato" Atsuki replied softly. Misato didn't replied back, she merely stood there on the rooftop, observing the fight in front of her green eyes. She knew that Azumi got the upper hand but she couldn't help but worried about her.
After a long while of lots and lots of unsuccessful blow, the demon had grown tired of it. He stopped and flew back down to the ground. Azumi, however, landed on a nearby rooftop with her eyes piercing at the demon. She then joined her two sabres together and raised it just below her eyes. She whispered a few words and instantly the blade shot out in flame. She flapped her wings once and lifted herself off of the roof. A smirk slowly crawled up her face as she came charging towards the demon with great speed. The demon didn't have time to blink as he tried to block Azumi's various blows. He had grown too tired that he couldn't block any of her attack anymore. At the next attack he couldn't see it coming as he received a great deal of pain in his shoulder blade. He let out a cry in pain and staggered back while holding onto his injured shoulder. Azumi stopped her assaulting and landed on top of a light pole as she glared daggers at the demon.
"You are good, Angel of Fire but I can not be defeated today. We shall continue this fight when the great battle comes. Until the, fare well" with that last word he sunk through the earth before Azumi could stop him.
"Shit! Is this a trap?" she muttered to herself and glanced around, soon she spotted Atsuki and Misato. She smiled at them and looked around some more before joining them.
"Hey Azumi. How's it going?" Atsuki asked cheerfully and smiled.
"I don't know. One minute me and that demon were fighting. The next thing I know he said something about fighting me at this great battle and sunk down to the earth. I thought that was a trap but it wasn't" Azumi shrugged and looked around as she scratched the back of her head slightly.
"Hmm....Should we report back?" Atsuki asked curiously.
"It's not even noon yet" Misato said quickly. Azumi glanced up at the sky and nodded in agreement.
"We have approximately one hour and a half before noon" Azumi said expertly. She was one out of all of the angels that could read the time without having to use a watch. Atsuki glanced at her wrist watch then looked up at Azumi and gave her a thumbs up.
"You're right again" she said and grinned at her.
"I am the greatest! Even greater than Mizuno!" Azumi shouted and punched a fist in the air. Atsuki just jumped up and down as she clapped her hands in amusement. While Misato shook her head as she mumbled the word "childish" over two times.
Meanwhile, the demon that Azumi had fought was kneeling down before the greatest demon of all. Which he named himself The Demon of Destruction. He was sitting in his throne while the dark shadow covered his face from view. He had been listening to this demon's report and was quite pleased of his new discovery.
"So, the Angel of Fire had proven herself as a worthy opponent for my fellow demons. Quite impressive" the demon chuckled cruelly and looked down at the other demon.
"Yes, Master. And I have delivered the message as well" the other demon said.
"Excellent, Guond. In the mean time, continue to send those weak demons to terrorize the Earth while we prepare for the biggest battle that has not yet been said in the history" the boss said as a scary grin crept up his horrorific face.
"Yes Master, I will get on with the task straight away" Guond said and stood up. He took one step back with his head still bow before turning around and exited the throne room.
"Soon, my dear Mizuno. We can finally be together" the boss said and stared down at the hand mirror that he was holding. In the glass was a lively image of Mizuno frowning and scowling at Pinzy.
