Anna woke hours later. It was dark out and Jun was nowhere in sight. Her mother's herbal tea seemed to be working, her fever was gone and she didn't seem so congested. "Jun!" Anna called, hoping her voice would carry in the house.

Jun set down his papers and hurried to her room. "Hey," he said with a smile, glad to see that she was awake. "How are you feeling?"

Anna smiled. For a moment she thought he had gone to that meeting after all. "I'm ok...I think my fever's gone. Can I have some more of the herbal tea?" she asked.

"Of course," he told her. Walking over to her, he pressed his lips to her forehead to check her temperature. "You're still a little warm, but not as bad as earlier. I'll go fix you some more tea."

Anna nodded. She watched him go downstairs and she turned on the lamp next to her. Did she sleep all day? A few minutes later Jun came in with tea. She drank a bit of it then smiled at him. "I hope I don't get you sick."

Jun sat on the edge of her bed and smiled. "Don't worry, I don't usually get sick that easily." She seemed to be doing a lot better. At least her eyes weren't glassy like earlier.

Anna nodded again and sipped some more of the tea. "You should have went to the meeting. I seemed to have slept all day. Did Reisha or my parents call?"

"It's no big. I'll go to the office when you're feeling better. Reisha called and asked how you were doing, and your parents called. I didn't tell them that you were sick, I just told them that you were sleeping."

Anna smiled. "You don't have to stay here with me," she said. "But it's sweet that you did. Thanks for covering with my family." She drank the rest of the tea and handed him the cup. "What have you been doing while I've been sleeping?"

"I wouldn't have been much use anywhere else. I would've been worrying about you too much." He took the cup and stood. "I've been looking over paperwork from dad's work, trying to figure everything out."

"I can help you if you need it. It's not like I'm doing much else," she said sweetly.

Jun smiled. "You sure you feel up to it?"

"Yep," she said smiling. "Bring your stuff in here."

He nodded. Taking the tea downstairs he grabbed his papers and went back up to her room. Sitting beside her on the bed, he wrapped an arm around her. "Do you want me to get you anything?"

"No, I'm ok," she said taking the papers. "Most of this is in English. You father must have had a lot of English contracts." She read a few lines. "Looks like I'll be teaching you English a little faster than planned."

Jun groaned. "I can barely speak a few sentences in English. There's no way I can learn enough to actually understand this."

Anna smiled at him. "Well, I can always be you secretary, Jun," she said lustfully. "You can make me stay late and I'll work really hard for you, boss man," she said with a wink.

Jun sighed. "Don't tempt me," he moaned. There was a pause. "Actually...that might work. All of it..." He looked at her with a smile.

"I know. If you decided to do this, Jun, I can go to your meetings and help you out. I'll help you with the paperwork and teaching you English. With my help you'll learn the ropes in no time," she said as she read the paperwork. "However," she narrowed her eyes as she read the paper, "I hope you know that whoever is running it right now if running it down. Look at the calculations. How can the money go down that fast? It doesn't make since."

Jun nodded. "I noticed that. I think someone's embezzling funds from the company." He sighed. "I don't know what to do." Closing his eyes, he rubbed them. He was going to need glasses before this was all over. He'd been staring at those papers for hours. Looking at her, he smirked. "So, would you consider it? I mean, being my secretary and helping me?"

Anna flipped through the papers. "If you give me a few days, I bet I can figure out who's doing it," she said then looked at him. "I already told you I would do it, Jun. But I don't come cheap. I want full benefits," she joked.

He didn't even know what the full benefits were at his company. "Well then, we might have to go over the full benefits later tonight," he teased, lust tingling his voice. "I've read what I could over a hundred times. I'm not certain where to begin. Hopefully tomorrow I can get a little direction when I go in."

"It's not so hard. I've already got a pretty good idea who it is just from looking at the charts and last month’s cash flow. But you know, when I find out who it is, you have to sue." She started organizing the papers. "I hope you are ready for another round in court."

"By now I should be a natural at it," Jun sighed.

Anna kissed his cheek. "Don't worry so much. We make a pretty good team. Are these all the papers you have? If so then I'll need to get my hands on a computer in your father's office," she said.

"Yeah, that's all they sent me," he told her. "Why do you need dad's computer?"

"Background checking and some digging. I have a pretty good idea who is taking money from you, but I'll need the proof and I bet it's on your dad's computer."

Jun nodded. "Okay, well we can go in the morning. You're still in no condition to go to school, so I'll tell them you're taking another sick day. It's snowing outside again and I don't want you to get worse."

Anna smirked. "Look at you taking care of me," she put the papers on the table beside her bed and laid down. She pulled him down with her. "You should relax. You look tired."

Jun yawned. "I've just been reading all the files and reports, trying to understand what my father was working on. My brain hurts."

"Don't worry. With me working with you it won't be long before you'll be running that company better than ever before," she said playing with his hair.

"Here's hoping." He pressed his lips to hers, not really carrying if he got sick or not. He couldn't help but notice that since she'd started feeling better she hadn't mentioned anything about her so called proposal. It was just as he thought. Something caused by her fever, nothing more.

Anna pulled back from the kiss lightly. She moved to him and snuggled into his chest. A few minutes later she heard his breathing go easy as he fell asleep. It wasn't long before Anna too fell asleep.

The next morning, Anna woke up with her fever gone. She sat up and eased out of the bed so she wouldn't wake Jun. She walked to the bathroom and got in the shower while coughing lightly.

Jun's cell phone rang a few minutes later. He groaned. It was work. "Yeah, no...I'll be in today. Ten? Yeah...." He sat up rubbing his throat. It felt kind of scratchy. Coughing, he stood and stretched before going downstairs to fix some breakfast. He could hear Anna in the shower, so he didn't bother her. Today felt like a pancake day.

Anna came down stairs after her shower and some winter clothes. She walked to the kitchen and made herself some herbal tea. She kissed Jun on the cheek then sat down. "Morning, Jun."

"Morning," he said, clearing his throat. "I already called school and told them you wouldn't be in." He pushed her a plate of pancakes as he started on his own. "They want me to come in at ten today."

"You should take some medicine. You sound like you are coming down with what I have," she said and started to eat her pancakes.

Jun shook his head. "I'll be fine," he told her. "So do you feel like coming to the meeting today?"

Anna put her fork down. "Take the medicine and I'll come if not then you out of luck. Did you see me get stubborn and refuse my mother's herbal tea? Quiet being the tough guy and take the medicine."

Jun rolled his eyes. "I'll have some of her tea if it'll make you feel better."

Anna smiled. "Yes," she said and stood. She made him a cup of tea and watched him drink it. "Thank you," she said a kissed his cheek.

Jun chuckled as he set the glass down. "You're welcome, dear," he said teasingly as she kissed his cheek. Putting his plate in the dish washer, he stretched and started upstairs. "I'm going to grab a shower and then get ready. If you want we can swing my house on the way to dad's office."

Dear? That's right...she purposed... "Why would I need to go to your house?"

"I thought you needed to use dad's computer? His house computer is linked to his work office. I figured it'd be easier to work at my house then his office."

"Doesn't matter to me. Just get me to one," she said as she cleaned the kitchen.

"Will do." He grabbed his shower and got dressed in his suit. Fixing his tie, he grabbed his laptop and the papers and walked downstairs. Anna seemed off.... "You ready?" He was nervous about this, about all of this. He was just sixteen! He didn't know the first thing about running a business.

Anna put on her coat and gloves and walked out to the car. She purposed to him. What did he say? Right...it wasn't yes but it wasn't no. She told him she wanted to elope. He said yes...when she was better. They had only been together for a month and two weeks. They were only sixteen. He was suppose to say no.

Jun got in the car and started toward his house. They was an awkward silence in the car. There was never an awkward silence with them. Pulling up to the house, he let her in and they started for his father's office. Booting up the computer, it took him a few seconds to hack into his father's computer and figure out what his passwords were. After he did that he moved so that she could do whatever it was she needed to.

Anna took her time looking through files and histories. She had to push her thoughts of Jun down so she could focus. It was silent in the room. All that could be heard was the sound of her hands moving over the keys and mouse. Finally, she found the proof she needed and printed it out. "The man that's taking your money is the book keeper. He's been doing it a little a a time for over five years. It seems your father didn't even know. But here is the proof you need to charge him with the crime," she said handing him the large stack of paper out of the printer.

"Thanks," he said, taking the files and looking down at them. It seemed like she knew more about running a business then he did. Once more there was silence as he put the paperwork in his bag and they headed out to the car. The next stop was his father's business. His business now...whether he wanted it or not.

Anna didn't know why Jun hadn't mentioned the fact that she had purposed to him or the fact that she wanted to elope. Did he just say yes because she had a fever and he didn't think she would remember? This was important issues and yet he hadn't said a word.

Jun took out his pass and showed it to the guard who waved him and Anna through to the parking area. Once there, they were both able to clearly see the enormous steel and glass obelisk which was his father's corporation. Jun got out of the car and stared up at it, he felt as if his heart was going to beat out of its chest. Looking over at Anna, he gave her a smile. "Well, what do you think?"

Anna's eyes scanned the area. Off to the side she could see her father's unfinished work. She sighed. "I think I owe my dad a lot of money..."

"No, you won't. Not when I'm through," he promised her. He owned the company now which meant that he could make decisions. His father had wanted something to show the people the true face of the company. Anna's father was going to build that; and he was going to see to it.Taking Anna's hand, he squeezed it as he looked at her. "There's something I want to ask you...but I think it would be best if I wait until today is over."

Anna looked over at him. He was serious. "Alright. If that's what you want," she said.

"It is," he told her. Before he could say any more Mr. Murashi came out, offering them a both large smile.

"Why if it isn't the happy couple! How are you doing, Jun? Great to see you again." He bowed to Jun, and Jun returned the honor. Mr. Murashi turned to Anna, though his smile never faltered it was obvious that he was surprised to see her there. "Ms. Green, I did not know that you would be joining us today. What a pleasant surprise."

"She is here because I know that my father did a lot of contracts with America and other foreign powers. I am not fluent in other languages, and she is the only one I trust to handle matters of the sort."

"Yes...." His smile fell. "Well, we'll discuss that inside. Please come."

Jun kept a firm hold of Anna's hand. He didn't care what others thought. Going in here there were only two people he trusted. Anna and himself.

They were led through many vast hallways, before finally taking an elevator to the conference room. Already the distinguished members of the board were waiting. They spoke jovial to him upon his arrival, paying proper respect to Anna and commenting on her beauty. They were trying to soften him up; and he had a good feeling that he knew why.

Anna felt uncomfortable with all the comments. She was under dressed. They were all wearing suits and she was in regular winter clothes with a bruise on her head and wrists. She told herself she should have covered her wrists up before coming in case anyone said anything. She didn't feel as pretty as everyone was calling her. Even Jun looked completely perfect compared to how normal she looked. If she was going to be his secretary, she needed to buy new clothes.

She bowed to everyone and paid her respects while thanking them for their compliments. Twice she was offered something to drink. They took her coat and gloves. She wasn't use to being waited on like this. It was intimidating.

As Jun stood before the board of directors every lesson his father beat into him, quite literally, went buzzing through his head. He took a seat for Anna to sit to his left as he addressed the board. "As you know, the company’s profits have been decreasing every since my father's passing. I know, that I am not the person you want leading this company. I am just a kid; and have no real experience with this. However, I do have a few changes in mind which will help this company greatly."

Jun reached into his bag and pulled out a briefcase. Opening it up, he took the files Anna had pulled up and handed each director a copy. "For starters, I want Mr. Takashi fired. It will do us no good to worry about our losses, and I'd quite frankly prefer not to have the company name tarnished further with another lawsuit."

"You can't just have us fire this man," Mr. Musashi stated. "He's been a loyal employee for over thirty years!"

"Yes, and had he remained so he would still have his job." Jun couldn't afford to be swayed. He had to let these people know that he meant business. "All the evidence is in the paperwork. Check for yourselves."

They looked over, and a few of the members did agree with him. "Secondly, the company needs a face lift. My father had started on a project, but his untimely demise halted that. I wish to hire Michael Green to finish what he started."

"We already canceled the Green contract."

Jun wasn't amused. "Then we will simply redraft it."

"Listen, Jun," Mr. Musashi said slowly. "I know you mean well, but you're just a kid. You don't know about this stuff as well as we do. We were talking, and seeing as how you're still in school and still have the rest of your life ahead of you. Rather then us keep dragging you from your studies, why don't you let one of us have executive power until you come of age. That way we can watch out for your father's company and you can reap its success."

"With all due respect Mr. Musashi, my father died for this company and for his honor. If I handed it over to you it would disgrace everything he taught me."

Mr. Musashi seemed upset by this. Understandably so. "Jun, I know you want to do well by your father, but do you really think you taking control is the best thing? You're staying with a girl you're with without parental supervision. The girl is covered in bumps and bruises. What will the press think if they find out? It would bring even more shame to your family honor."

Jun's eyes narrowed. "Is that suppose to be a threat, Mr. Musashi?"

Musashi sighed. "No.... I'm just trying to look out for your best interests. If you're sleeping around with this girl without being married and the press finds out they'll tear not only you but this company to shreds."

Anna slammed her fist down and watched them jump. "I'm sitting right here!" she yelled. "And I'm not just some girl!" She stood. "What we do in out private life is just that...PRIVATE! Just because you wear suits and have a lot of money doesn't give you the right to disrespect the people around you. One day it might come around and bite you in the ass." She sat back down. "Better remember that for the future..." she added with a mumble.
