RECAP: "I am not pregnant! I'm a boy! Boys don't get pregnant!"

"Dante." His father said with a sigh. "You have chimirism. One of roughly 30 documented cases in America."

"Dante do you know how many gay couples would love to be in your situation?"

"I don't care! This is not a fucking happy occasion! I'm 16 years old and I'm going to be a father! AND to top it off I'm not gay, and WE," He said while waving a hand to symbolize Delwyn. "aren't a couple. Never have been and never will be."

Dante didn't even have the energy to be mad. "Figured." They sat in silence a few moments. "My brother, he um, he told me that I should at least give you a chance."

Delwyn moved his hand to cup Dante's face instead. "Better?" Dante nodded. "Can I kiss you?" Dante nodded again. They were kissing for only a few moments when Dante's door opened, not to reveal Cheese as the had suspected, but his enraged father.

He was gone for all of 30 seconds when his phone vibrated. he checked the message. 'Meet me at the studio on Thursday at 2. Bring a jacket.'

CHATER 8

Dante sat at the dinner table quietly pushing his food around. It had been 2 days since he had last seen Delwyn, and tomorrow was Thursday. "Dad?" Dante asked nervously.

"Yes?"

"Can I go to the studio tomorrow?"

"No."

"Please? It's just to withdraw from classes and to get back the deposit for this months classes."

"Then what?"

"Huh?"

"Do you think I'm stupid. I know you're trying to see Delwyn."

Dante looked shocked. "What? No! I just wanted to get my money back while I still could. He's not even going to be there tomorrow. He has off."

"And I'm supposed to believe you?" Leon said skeptically.

"Papa please. I just want to go get my money so I can buy me a few things okay? And to pick up my homework. Besides you have my phone even if I wanted to meet him, which i don't, I couldn't even call. Just give me 5 hours. I'll be back before you and mom get off work." His father looked at him unsure. "Please?"

The front door opened allowing Bird to enter. "Ask your mother."

Dante scrambled from his seat. "Mama! Can I please go to the studio tomorrow to get my money then go get my homework, then go to the mall? Please. Papa told me to ask you. Just say yes please?"

"Yes. I don't mind."

"Really?! Thank you!!" Dante hugged his mother as tightly as he could.

"Not so tight. I expect you to have your phone on at all times and to answer every txt and phone call you get from either me your brother or your father."

"Dad has my phone."

"Well get it back."

"Daaaaad!!!"

*****

Dante woke the next morning in a good mood but anxious. He took a quick shower and washed his hair. He tried brushing it, it didn't work. He tried combing it, the comb broke. He let out a frustrated groan. He went into his parents room and got his mothers blow-dryer. He dried his hair which resulted in a Fluffy mess. He glared angrily into the mirror and cursed his mother for his ridiculous hair. He grabbed his mothers flat iron and proceeded to straighten his hair, something he swore he would never do himself (He was used to asking his mom to do it for him). He let out a huff once he finished and noticed that his hair had grown to just past his shoulders. He was going to put it in a ponytail but decided against it.

Satisfied with his hair he went to get dressed, only to get pissed off that none of his jeans fit anymore. "Seriously?" He looked angrily at his stomach in the mirror. "Seriously?" He tried on every single pair of jeans he owned. "Seriously?!" He let out a groan and pulled on a pair of sweat pants he stole from his sister on her last visit. He pulled on a red t-shirt and pulled on the matching hoodie to the pants not caring much that it was a girls volleyball hoodie; he had often wore Angie's hoodie. He angrily snatched his keys and cell phone from his dresser before storming down the stairs. he spared a glance at the clock seeing that it was going on 1. He had taken longer than he had planned. He grabbed a cereal bar and headed out.

He drove to school munching on his cereal bar and with the music low. He headed to the front office and waited patiently for the secretary to finish typing. "Hi my name is Dante Luchese. I'm going to be out of school for the next few months due to a surgery and i was wondering if I could pick any work I've missed so far and set up for any other assignments to me mailed to my house to be completed?"

"Yes. do you have a parent with you to verify?"

"No but I can call one of them at work."

"Please do. Press 6 to dial out."

"I have my cell phone." Dante waited patiently. "Hello? Hi I'm Dante Luchese. I was wondering if Leon Luchese was available? Oh, it's his son." Dante was put on hold as they transferred his call to his father's classroom.

"Papa? I need you to set up my homework to be sent home." Dante handed the phone to the secretary and half listened as they set things up. He waited approximately 10 minutes for them to finish. the secretary handed him his phone and a blue sheet of paper.

"You need to take this to all of your classes and have your teachers sign off that they are either giving you current missed assignments or are mailing them to you by Monday next week." Dante nodded and did as he was told. He took the sheet and had made it to all but one of his classes. The one with Angie and Jake in it, his ex girlfriend and nosey friend, he knocked and hesitantly open the door. he wasn't surprised that the only people who gave him a second glance were Angie and Jake. He had been out of school for about 3 months not counting the random days he went. He ignored them and patiently waited as his teacher signed off on his sheet and gathered his work. He thought he was in the clear as he headed down the hall, until Jake came running after him down the hall.

"Dante! Wait up!"

Dante let out a sigh and waited. "What's up?"

"Where have you been? You've hardly been in school lately."

"I've been sick."

"With what?"

"There's these things...growing inside of me." Dante answered hesitantly.

"Is it serious?" Jake asked honestly concerned.

"Not really I'll just be out of school for a couple of months recovering after the surgery and stuff."

"Hey tell me when your surgery date comes up so I can visit you."

"NO!" Jake arched an eyebrow. "I mean, no you don't have to visit."

"Of course I do you're my friend."

"No. Seriously, don't."

"Dante it can't be that bad it's just-"

"I have to go. I need to be somewhere in 15 minutes."

"Dante!"

"Jake just...just don't worry about me I'm fine." Jake opened his mouth to respond. "Seriously I'm okay." Dante left Jake standing in the middle of the hallway. As soon as he got in his car he tossed his homework in the back seat and answered his cell phone. "Hello?”

“Where are you?” It was his dad.

He let out a sigh as he put on hi seatbelt and put the car in reverse to pull out of his parking space. “In the car in the school parking lot, leaving.”

“Just checking.”

“I know. I’m going to the studio now. I might hang out with a few friends before I go home.”

“Delwyn?”

“No. Jake and a few others at the mall when I went. No guarantee though probably end up going by myself.” Dante felt a little guilt lying to his dad.

“Okay. See you at 4?”

“6. I plan on going a few other places before I come home.”

“Where?”

“Dad. Please. I’m already knocked up by some messed up will of god. Nothing else is going to happen.”

“You promise?”

“Yes dad.”

There was a few moments of silence. “You know I love you right?”

“Yes dad.”

“And you know I’m doing this because I love you right?”

“Yes dad.”

“When this is over. I just…”

Dante listened to his dad sigh. “ I know dad.”

“Do you hate me?”

Dante was shocked. “What? No! Why would I hate you?” He was answered with silence. “Okay yeah I know why I would but you’re my dad and I’m stuck with you.” They talked a few more minutes until Dante pulled up to the dance studio. “Hey dad I’m at the studio so I’ll see you later?

“Yeah. Love you.”

“Love you to.”

Dante hung up his phone and headed in to speak with the receptionist. “Hey Dante.”

“Hey Sylvanna. Hey I was wondering if I could take back this months deposit for classes and studio time.”

“Yeah no problem. May I ask why?”

“Having some family difficulties and we could really use the money and with things going the way they are I probably won’t be dancing much any more. At least no time soon.”

“Understandable I have to do a few things it’ll be about 15, 20 minutes. I’m sure you can find some way to entertain yourself.”

Dante watched as she disappeared behind office doors before moving over to one of the rooms. He grabbed a CD and scanned through the CD before he found a song he liked and began to slowly dance. Pouring his every emotion into the song. This would probably be the last time that he danced in a while if not ever. This would be the last time he’d be able to pour his heart out in the way he loved. This would be the last time he’d be able to close out the world and focus solely on how he felt at that moment. He and gone into a spin when arms wrapped around his waist catching him off guard. He jumped and whirled around to find himself in Delwyn’s arms. It wasn’t until Delwyn wiped away a tear that he had even realized he was crying.

“Are you even allowed to dan-you okay?” He asked softly as he ran his fingers through Dante’s straight loose hair. Dante nodded not trusting his voice. “You sure?” Dante nodded again and tried to free himself from the embrace But Delwyn refused to let go. “No you aren’t.”

“Yes I am.” He said softly hold back the tears in his eyes and voice.

Delwyn looked into Dante’s grey, hazel eyes. “Tell me what’s wrong.”

“Delwyn please.” Dante said pulling gently against his captor in a half hearted attempt to free himself. “Please.” Delwyn leaned down and stopped leaving mere millimeters of space between them before closing the space between their lips. Dante let out a soft whimper before kissing back. He let out a soft sigh when Delwyn softly caressed his hip with his thumb on one hand and his cheek with the other. He slowly calmed down and when they pulled apart he felt better.

“You okay now?” Dante nodded as he bit his lip then gave a smile.

“Sylvanna should be done by now.” The two exited the room and headed towards the reception area. Dante grabbed the money and signed a few papers before leaving.

As Dante headed toward his car Delwyn gave him a curious look. “I’m not meeting you remember?”

“Right. Is there any place you have to be?”

“No but we need to go to the mall at some point. I need new pants.”

“And you need to change out of your sisters clothes.” Delwyn said with a chuckle.

“Shut up. I know. Nothing fits right anymore. It’s to tight.”

Delwyn walked over to Dante stopping him from getting into his car. “Kiss me good-bye.”

“Dude we’re going to the same place, the mall.”

“Hey shit happens you never know.”

“You just kissed me.”

“Well I want another one.” Delwyn said as he pinned Dante to the car.

“Delwyn, ‘s not funny. Can we just go?” Dante said with a pout. “I’m on a time restraint.”

“As soon you kiss me.”

Dante let out a sigh before stealing a kiss from Delwyn. He quickly pulled back and got into his car. “See you at the mall.” They drove to the mall, once there they headed straight towards a clothing store. Once inside Dante looked around at possible pants and shirts. He let out a sigh as he realized he would only be about to buy pants and jeans that will only last for a few weeks before they too were to small. He turned to Delwyn and gave him a small smile. “I don’t think I really want anything anymore.”

“Why?”

“Anything I buy will only last for a few weeks before I have to go buy something else.”

“Just buy something. You can still wear it after.”

“Delwyn I don’t want anything.”

“Stop being so pissie and pick something.”

“Stop being a dick and let’s go someplace else.”

“What is wrong with you?” Delwyn asked confused. “Just some pants that are to big and they’ll last longer, and when they stop fitting we’ll find a way to get you something else.”

“You buy it for me. I have to use the bathroom.” Delwyn opened his mouth to respond but shut it and just nodded. Dante left Delwyn in the store and went to the bathrooms near the front of the mall. As he headed back he slowed and looked inside the Baby Depot. He debated on going in or not. He looked around to make sure no one he knew was near by before walking into the store. As he looked around he noticed they had places set up like nurseries. He walked over to one area that instantly caught his eye. As he stood there he unconsciously rubbed his thumb against his hardly there bulge.

“Can I help you with anything?”

Dante turned to see a sales lady watching him. He pushed his hair behind his ear before turning aback around to look at the nursery. “H-how much does this whole room cost?” He asked softly.

“Well the cribs are $105 a piece, the entire bed set $70 a piece, the dresser is $35. The lamp is $10 not including the bulb of course. The curtains are $20 a piece, the bar they’re on is $15. The Daybed with the pillows and cover is $350. The shelves are anywhere from $10 to $20. The small bedside table is $20, the glider varies in price depending on what you get so anywhere from $70 to $100. The chest that doubles as a possible sitting area is $45. So the entire room is somewhere between $1065 and $1135.”

Dante felt his heart clinch as he heard the price. There was no way he could afford that. But he really wanted this as his nursery. “Thank you.” He quickly walked away from the area and headed out of the store. He had every intention of leaving the mall and going home. He couldn’t do this. This was not him he was going to give them up he can afford it. He made it roughly 10 steps out of the door when he bumped into Delwyn.

“I’ve been looking for you. Where have you been?”

“I meant to use the bathroom but I got distracted and I saw- and I can- I don’t want-” Dante felt the tears burn at his eyes. “I can’t.” He moved around Delwyn and quickly left the mall and ignored the calls of his name. He ran to his car and tried to get in but the door was quickly slammed shut. “Delwyn just let me go please I can’t do this.”

“Do what?”

“This…us. Everything. I can’t afford to raise a baby let alone two. I can’t do a relationship with you. You’re a boy I’m not supposed to date you. You don’t need me or the weight of kids. God you accepted the idea of being a father so easily as if you have wanted this all your life. You have no idea what is going to happen to us. You have no idea what how expensive this is. You should just forget about me, and us, and them. I’ll give them up and we can go on with our lives as if this never happened. And you can meet a nice guy and-” Delwyn cut him off with a stolen kiss. Dante pulled back after a few seconds. “Delwyn you can’t just ki-” Delwyn cut him off again. “Delwyn don-” Dante was once again silenced. “ Del-” This kiss was longer. Delwyn dropped the bags he was carrying on order to grab Dante’s face and deepen the kiss. Dante let out a soft moan and grabbed tightly at Delwyn’s shirt.

Delwyn nipped at Dante’s bottom lip as a request for entry, he didn’t wait for a response. He quickly delved into that moist cavern he has come to love and basked in the taste of Dante. He backed Dante against the car door and deepened the kiss if that were even possible. He took one of Dante’s hand and placed it over his heart before pulling back. He took a much needed deep breath before diving back in. Dante let out a sound between a groan, moan, and whimper. He let out a gasp when he felt Delwyn press against him and pulled back from the kiss instantly. “Don’t.” He said softly looking into Delwyn’s cloudy blue eyes.

“Don’t what?” He asked softly. “Show you what you do to me? Show you what you do to my body? How you make my heart race? How you make me loose my breath? How much I care for you? How ridiculously bad I want you to keep them? How much I want you to keep me? You promised me a chance. I’m going to make it work. I by no means accepted the idea of you being pregnant easily. I way have come off that way but when I got home that night I damn near los my mind. I looked up so many sites on chimirism it was ridiculous. I looked up things on pregnancy, I even called that stupid hotline for teen pregnancy crisis.” That made Dante chuckle a little. “ I had my time to freak out and now is my time to try and make it through it. To try and make this the best thing that has every happened to me. To us.”

“You are so cheesy.” Dante said with a smile.

“And you’re an emotional wreck.”

“’S not my fault.” He said with a pout.

“ I know. I bought you some clothes so you can get out of your sisters clothes.

“Thank you.”

“Are you done with this emotional rollercoaster?”

“Yeah.”

“You sure?” Delwyn asked skeptically.

Dante laughed. “Yes.”

“Okay. So, after you change want to go on a proper date? Wine and dine or dinner and a movie?(1)”

“Dinner and a move.”

“Okay. Go change.”

Dante looked inside the bags and pulled out a nice shirt and pants and a jacket, before going to change. As Delwyn waited for Dante and Dante changed clothes. They both smiled to themselves and hoping beyond hope that everything worked out right.

(1) Wine and Dine or Dinner & a movie is a thing from where I’m from. Wine and dine means that you eat then you go and try to impress them. Dinner and a movie are real laid back and just hanging and knowing each other better. You’re not necessarily doing one or the other exactly

A/N: So. I found this program on my computer that’s kind of like Microsoft word. So hopefully my chapters will be easier to read and less spelling errors. No guarantee on the grammar though.
