Rapunzel sat on the hill looking down on Corona watching as the people of Corona danced around in celebration of the "Day of Hearts". The star-filled sky illuminated the freckles on her face, making her light brown hair glow in the darkness.

"What are you doing all the way up here?" Cassandra came from behind her then moved to sit beside her. It's been about a year since she last saw her so Cassandra decided it was better to visit and arrived three days ago. "Shouldn't you be partying with the others?"

Rapunzel shrugged. "I'm not really in the 'partying' mood."

Cassandra made an over-exaggerated gasp. "Princess Rapunzel not wanting to party? Who ARE you and what have you done with my best friend?" She teased, giving her a playful smile.

Rapunzel rolled her eyes but couldn't help but smile at the playful side of Cassandra she only ever got to see. "I guess the Day of Hearts isn't as fun as it use to be. It's not the same. At least, not since.." Rapunzel quickly stopped talking, hoping Cassandra wouldn't catch on.

But she did. Realization crossed Cassandra's face as she stared at the floor and hugged her knees close to her chest. Immense guilt and sorrow were placed upon her beautiful features. "I'm sorry," She started. "I know the Day of Hearts was your favorite holiday. I didn't mean to ruin it.."

Rapunzel's eyes softened as she placed a hand on Cassandra's knee, making Cass look at her. "You didn't," Rapunzel gave her a serious look. "You didn't ruin it." Cassandra gave her a confused look.

Rapunzel also pulled her knees to her chest and hugged them. "It's not the same not because of what happened, Cass. It's because.. I see things a lot differently now. I.. feel different."

Cassandra, once more, gave her a confused look. "What do you mean?"

"Well," Rapunzel started. "It reminds me of what happened. What I did. How you weren't there, by my side.. And how alone you must've felt." While that wasn't technically a lie, it wasn't the full truth.

"Well, I'm here now," Cassandra smiled then stood up. She lent her hand out to the princess with a charming smile. "Care to dance m'lady?"

Rapunzel gave a confused look but had to admit how handsome, how beautiful, Cassandra looked then. Dressed in her warrior uniform, it made her look wild, charming and so very beautiful. She readily accepted Cassandra's hand as she pulled her up. Cassandra placed one hand on the princess's waist while the other softly grasped Rapunzel's hand. Rapunzel placed her hand on Cassandra's shoulder. Cassandra slowly started moving them to the slow beat of the music that could be heard below them.

"I didn't know you could dance," Rapunzel stated as Cassandra took the lead.

Cassandra chuckled. "I can't, really, but when you're a free-spirited princess's lady-in-waiting, you kind of have to learn." Cassandra gave the smaller girl a wink as Rapunzel giggled.

As Cassandra moved them to the music, Rapunzel could feel her heartbeat speed up. Cassandra's hazel green eyes bored into her emerald ones, locking her into place. Rapunzel got lost in her eyes. Everything else faded for her. All she could think, feel, and see was Cassandra. The world faded to black and what remained was the beautiful view of Cassandra. She didn't know how long she was lost to the world, but eventually, she missed a step and nearly fell face-first into the grassy earth. But, as always, Cassandra was there to catch her.

Cassandra let out a small laugh; the same laugh that brought joy into Rapunzel's heart, the same laugh the was Rapunzel's melody. "Careful there, Raps. When did you get so clumsy?"

She knew her best friend was teasing her. What else to do but to tease her back? "Hm," Rapunzel straightened herself. "Maybe you're just a bad dancer."

Cassandra let out another laugh. "Oh-ho! Look who's getting all tough. I'm so hurt!" It didn't take long before Rapunzel and Cassandra both burst out laughing. They laughed so hard, tears leaked from their eyes. Eventually, though, they stopped and took shallow breaths. Rapunzel, still in Cassandra's arms, laid her head on the older girl's chest.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too, Raps." Rapunzel let out a contented smile. Rapunzel eventually looked up and her breath caught in her throat. The moon-lit sky shined down on Cassandra, making her appear almost god-like. It brought out the raven that was her hair and made her pale skin glow. She was smiling down at the princess, the same smile that made her heart skip a beat. The moon made her eyes glow brightly, making them look even more beautiful than before. She looked breathtaking.

She must've stared for to long because Cassandra eventually started looking uncomfortable as she looked away. Finally realizing, Rapunzel quickly looked away, a blush covering her rosy cheeks. "S-Sorry." She said in a small, flustered voice.

Cassandra didn't pull away. Actually, she pulled her closer. Cassandra gently put a finger under Rapunzel's chin and lifted her head up to look at her once more. She then did the last thing Rapunzel ever expected her to do. She leaned in, fingers still holding Rapunzel's face, and kissed her.

Rapunzel's eyes widened in disbelief but as Cassandra deepened the kiss, Rapunzel couldn't help but close her eyes and kiss back. She stood on her tippy toes to better reach Cassandra. Cassandra tilted her head back and deepened the kiss. The passion grew as both girls grasped tightly onto each other. The kisses became desperate. When one would lean back for air, the other would capture their lips once more.

Rapunzel and Cassandra soon tumbled to the floor. Cassandra was above Rapunzel, deepening the kiss even more. They kissed like they needed each other for air, to survive. Rapunzel let out a small, muffled moan which only encouraged Cassandra to run her hands up and down her body. Cassandra roughly, but gently, pushed her tongue into Rapunzel's mouth and Rapunzel did the same.

Rapunzel felt... hot. Cassandra took control of the situation and it made her feel amazing. Eugene was always careful when they did couple stuff. Sometimes too careful. He treated her like a porcelain doll or something. Like she was going to break. But Cass... she made her feel things like never before. She forced her down with her own body and roughly, but still gently, kissed her; tongue and all. Her body was on fire. Cassandra's hips moved of their own accord, gently but roughly thrusting against her. Even with Cassandra's dominating and rough nature, she never once hurt Rapunzel and made sure she was careful, bringing pleasure to both herself and Rapunzel with her small hip thrusts. Before things could go too far, Cassandra broke contact. Before Rapunzel and Cassandra were panting softly as they looked each other in the eye, noses touching.

"I love you," Cassandra admitted softly, stealing the words right out of Rapunzel's mouth.

Rapunzel gave her a loving smile. "I love you too."

And just like that, the Day of Hearts was once more Rapunzel's favorite holiday.

And now, it was Cass's as well.
