[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

As dawn approached, Cassandra stood on the outskirts of town. Last night, after they turned in, Cassandra told Rapunzel to meet her at the edge of Corona. Naturally, she was late. Cassandra pet Fidella's mane while she started to get worried. She was just about to go look for her when the princess popped into view; out of breath.

"I'm here!" The girl wheezed, bent over and placed her hand on her knees.

Cassandra raised an eyebrow. "What'd you do? Run a marathon?"

"Something like that."

"Do you have everything you need?"

"Yep!"

"Do you write the notes and deliver them without being spotted?"

"Yep!"

"Are you sure?"

Rapunzel groaned, exasperated. "Yes Cass."

"Alright, alright. Just making sure. You usually forget a thing or two when you're excited."

Rapunzel's heart soared because of the fact Cassandra remembered her ticks. "I got everything."

"Good. Ready to go?"

"Ready as I'll ever be."

Cassandra nodded before turning and started to get Fidella ready. It wouldn't be long before the guards realized the princess was 'missing' so they had to get to the wall as soon as possible. Cassandra looked over slightly and saw that Rapunzel was staring at the town with hesitant, almost sorrowful, eyes. She walked over to her and placed a caring hand on the princess's shoulder, making her jump slightly. "You okay?"

Rapunzel looked at Corona one last time before turning to Cassandra and giving her a smile. "Yeah. I just can't believe we're doing this."

"Me neither."

"I wish it hadn't come to this; running away. I'm gonna miss everyone so much. But you were right, as always, I can't stay here."

"I know Raps," She gave her friend a sympathetic look. "I'm sure on day they'll understand why you left."

"I sure hope so."

"They will," Cassandra smiled and hopped onto Fidella before lending out a hand to Rapunzel while giving her loving smile. "Come on." Rapunzel looked at Corona one last time before turning and giving Cassandra a sweet smile. She grabbed the girls hand as the older woman easily pulled her up. "Hold on." Rapunzel nodded and wrapped her arms tightly around her best friend's torso. Cassandra let out a 'yah!' and Fidella went into a sprint. As they headed towards the wall that led them to the outside world, Rapunzel smiled knowing that for once in her life, she made the right decision.

A hooded figure watched from afar. They let out a smirk before jumping down into a hidden cave.
"The sundrop and moondrop left," They stated.
"Excellent." Another voice spoke. "It's only a matter of time now."

"I don't get it, why can't we just grab them now? They're guard is down, they'll never suspect it coming." The first figure asked.
"Be patient, my dear, you'll get your chance. Unknowing to them, they've already fell right into my trap. Now all we do is wait and we'll finally get what we both want. You'll get your revenge and I'll get the power I had taken from me."
The first figure nodded before removing their hood. "Yes, my queen." A pair of familiar hazel green eyes stared up at a pair of familiar purple eyes.
Gothel let out a sickening smirk. "This is gonna be fun." Zhan Tiri nodded.

"Indeed. They'll pay for taking away what rightfully belonged to us." Maniacal laughter echoed throughout the underground caverns.
Woo! Zhan Tiri and Gothel as a team is disaster just waiting to happen! I'm sorry this chapter is so short. I feel like this had to be fit in a chapter of it's own. Oh! I realized I forgot to write dialog for Pascal. He's been there the whole time I swear. As is Owl. The reason why Zhan Tiri and Gothel are alive will be explained in later chapters. Hope you enjoy and if you have any feedback, please don't hesitate to tell me!
