Romance Fan Fiction / Other Fan Fiction ❯ Stars Above - A Cassunzel Fanfic ❯ Chapter 15: To the Rescue ( Chapter 15 )
It’s been two weeks since Cassandra’s death. Rapunzel had been dragged all over the seven kingdoms before she was dropped into another slave camp. Rapunzel stopped fighting them all together. What was the point when there was nothing to fight for? Whatever happened to her, she didn’t care. She was so numb that it hurt. She had been bruised, hit, and thrown around and the thing that hurt the most was her shattered, empty heart.
“Is this the girl?” She heard a man ask. She was again placed in a dark tent, tied to a post. She slowly raised her eyes as her hair covered her face and she looked at the speaker. She saw three men. One of them was the man that had brought her here, the other was his assistant, and the last one was what she could only assume was her ‘buyer’.
“Yes,” Samael responded.
"You said she was more feisty and fierce. That girl looks more beaten than a cat at a dog party." The man then stopped. "You know what? It doesn't matter. I'll make do. Now leave."
"But sir-" Samael tried. The man glared at him then roughly put a wad of cash in his hand.
"There, as promised. Leave." Samael and his assistant nodded before leaving the tent.
The man started walking towards her. "I've been waiting for you, Rapunzel." Rapunzel didn't respond. She kept her head down. The man growled and grabbed her face roughly. "Look at me while I'm talking to you!" Rapunzel didn't have it in her to glare at him. He let go of her face roughly and sneered. "Look at you. So pathetic. Breaking over a worthless, good-for-nothing, sapphic bitch."
Rapunzel suddenly snapped her head up, her tired eyes promising death. "Don't talk about her like that!"
The man smirked. "Ah, there's that fighting spirit. All I had to do was insult your dead lover, hm?" The man circled her. "It doesn't matter. You won't even be thinking of that crazy bitch once I'm done with you. Whether it be of pain or pleasure, it's your choice."
Rapunzel gritted her teeth. "Fuck. You." She normally wouldn't use such dirty language, but she couldn't find it in her to care.
"That's not very polite of you, princess." She was suddenly slapped so hard across the face, she fell on her side and her ears were ringing. "Try again."
Rapunzel spit out blood and glared at him. "I'm not doing anything with you."
"Hm, too bad then. I really did not want to do this the hard way but you left me no choice." The man suddenly pinned her to the floor and crashed his lips to hers in a rough, disgusting kiss.
Rapunzel struggled and pushed him away as best as she could. Lack of food, sleep and water made Rapunzel weak as the man only came back stronger and started trailing his hand up her dress. Rapunzel struggled like her life depended on it. "Let me go! Get your hands off me!" The man ignored her and easily kept her pinned to the ground. She felt his hand touch her in an area only Cassandra was allowed to touch her as tears streamed down her face. His other hand trailed up her dress and grasped her breasts. One hand touching her below, the other above; both places being forbidden to anyone other than Cassandra. Rapunzel tried to scream but was too weak to do so. She felt the man starting to unbuckle his pants and that's when she saw an opportunity. Getting her knees under her, she reared them up as hard as she could, effectively striking him in the crotch. He fell off of her, yelling in pain, as Rapunzel backed up as far as she could go; tears still streaming down her face.
"You bitch!" The man yelled. "You're gonna pay for that!" Rapunzel tried to get to her feet and run away but was suddenly pulled back down.
"Get off me!" She yelled. The man snarled and took out a dagger then dug it deep into her arm. She let out a strangled cry and fell to her knees.
"That'll teach you. Now, are we gonna be a good girl?"
Rapunzel sneered through the pain. "Never."
"Fine, suit yourself." The man responded, his voice dark as ice. This time the man was quick as lightning as he pinned one of Rapunzel's arms behind her back, making her cry out in pain, and get on top of her from behind.
"Help!" Rapunzel screamed. "Someone help!" She sobbed as she could feel the man going for his pants buckle again. "Please....!"
"It's pointless princess. No one is coming to your rescue. This camp is hardly guarded."
Rapunzel only sobbed before adding in a pained, quiet plea: "Please..." The man smirked at her silence and was about to take her in the worst way possible before he heard the sounds of fighting coming from outside.
"What the hell?"
A man came bursting into the room."Sir, we have-" The man didn't get to finish as he was knocked unconscious. What stood behind him was a panting, disheveled looking, but alive Cassandra.
Rapunzel met her eyes. "Cass.." She whispered in disbelieved relief.
While Rapunzel was ecstatic to see her alive despite her current situation, Cassandra's eyes were wide at how bruised, bloody, tired and skinny her lover looked. She was so pale... She suddenly raised her eyes to meet the man that was still placed on top of Rapunzel, his hand still underneath her dress. Cassandra's mind went blank with rage.
"Get. Off. Of. Her. Now." She seethed. Rapunzel recognized that tone of voice. She was going to kill this man. But for the first time, she couldn't find it in her to care.
The incredibly stupid man laughed. "Or what?" The man suddenly brought them both to a standing position as he held a dagger to Rapunzel's throat. "Come any closer and I’ll kill her." Despite a dagger being placed against her throat, Rapunzel didn't seem to care. Cass was alive. She was alive and okay. Rapunzel's world was suddenly filled with light once more as she stared at her beautiful, incredibly pissed off, goddess that was only a couple feet away. Rapunzel was quickly brought back to reality though when she felt something hard and disgusting poke into her backside and the hard metal of a sharp object being placed against her throat.
Rapunzel couldn't read Cassandra's face. Her expression was dark, dangerous, unreadable and deathly. Her eyes were clouded with untamed rage and absolute fire. Rapunzel had never seen Cassandra look like this before, not even when she had the moonstone, and it scared her. She knew that Cassandra was outrightly pissed and if she didn't try to do something, Cass was going to charge without restraint.
"I-I would do what she says.." Rapunzel tried to speak but her voice was weak.
"Shut up!" The man pressed the knife closer to her neck as it made a red line and small drops of blood leaked out. He then did the stupidest thing he could have. He thrusted against her with a smirk. "She doesn't belong to you any more."
“She doesn’t belong to anyone. I’m not gonna ask again. Get. Off. Of. Her. Now!” Cassandra’s voice was as cold as ice and as deathly as fire.
The stupid man only laughed and thrusted against her a second time. Rapunzel whimpered as she met Cassandra's eyes. "C-Cass.." It wasn't a plea to stop doing what she was about to do, but rather a plea to save her. That was the last straw to make Cassandra finally go off. Whether it was the sound of absolute terror in Rapunzel's voice or the things she saw this disgusting human being do to her, perhaps it was both, Cassandra lost control. The man didn't even see it coming. He was stripped away from Rapunzel in less than a second.
Rapunzel fell back onto the floor as she backed herself up so that her back was leaning against one of the posts, breathing roughly. She didn't have the energy to move anymore. "I'm. Going. To. End. You." She heard Cassandra say in the most deathly voice she had ever heard from her, or anyone for that matter. If she wasn't so tired, she would've shivered at the sound of it.
"You don't have what it takes," The man said with a smirk. Cassandra had him held up by his shirt. His teeth were already stained with blood.
"Wanna bet?" Cassandra seethed as she picked up the dagger that he used to hurt Rapunzel with and shoved it into his gut. The man gurgled out blood. "Still think I don't have what it takes?"
"How the hell are you even alive?" The man seethed weakly. "My men-"
"Are worthless and weak. I've been in worst scenarios. You're not getting rid of me that easily. Now," Cassandra pressed the dagger to his neck. "You're gonna pay for what you did. And for the many women before that."
The man only smirked with barely open eyes. "That girl you got there is fiesty and hot. Too bad you stepped in when you did, I was gonna have lots of fun with her. You wanna know what I would've done? Well, first, I would've-" He didn't get to finish the sentence. Cassandra slit his throat and he immediately fell limp in her arms. She dropped the limp body to the floor.
"Rest in hell, you piece of shit." She spat down at him. It was then that she heard quiet groaning behind her and remembered where she was. Eyes widening, she quickly turned around and bolted towards Rapunzel. Sliding on her knees, she kneeled in front of her and started frantically searching for every injury she could find. Her heart tightened at the look of her. "Fuck, Rapunzel, I'm so sorry, this is-" She didn't get to finish. Rapunzel launched herself forward and fell into her arms and immediately started sobbing.
Cassandra's eyes softened as she wrapped her arms around the sobbing princess, rubbing her hand gently up and down her back. "Shh... It's okay, Raps, I'm here. I'm here.."
"Y-You're alive..." Was all Rapunzel could respond with.
"You can't get rid of me that easily." Cassandra responded, trying to lighten the mood. But Rapunzel only shook her head and pressed closer.
"I-I thought I lost you... I really thought.." Rapunzel shook her head, unable to say it.
Cassandra gently pushed her back and wiped what tears she could with her thumbs. Rapunzel closed her eyes and leaned into the warmth she never thought she would feel ever again. "I'm so sorry Raps, I never should've trusted that guy. W-When I came in and saw him on... you and saw him pull a dagger out, I-I was so scared, I..." Cassandra swallowed and shook her head. "H-He didn't... Did he?" Rapunzel looked away. "He did." Cassandra responded, her voice already full of anger.
"N-No! H-He didn’t rape me, no. I'm mean... not all the way."
"I'm going to kill anyone who has been in contact with him." Cassandra responded darkly, already starting to get up.
Rapunzel panicked and grabbed her arm. "No! Don't leave me," Cassandra looked down into her horror filled eyes. "...Please Cass." Cassandra sighed, bent down then picked her up bridal style. Rapunzel made a cute surprised sound as she wrapped her arms around Cassandra's neck.
"Come on, let's get out of here." Cassandra said as she started to walk towards the back way of the tent, away from the camp.
"Cass, I can walk, you know."
"I know." Cassandra responded simply without looking at her before tightening her grip. Rapunzel took it for it was and lay her head against Cassandra's chest; the sound of her racing heartbeat, the melody she thought she would never hear again, lurring her to sleep. The last thought that crossed her mind before she slipped into darkness was...
She was going to scold Cassandra so bad for not listening to her and scaring her to death later.
Whew! That was a heavy chapter. Don't worry, I would never kill Cass off for good ;3. She's too stubborn for that anyway. Speaking of which, Cass is about to get an asswhoopin. And not the good kind either.
