It had been about two weeks since the rescue and much hadn’t changed. Rapunzel and Nova finally started to mend their relationship and were spending a lot of time together. The poor kid never wanted to go back to the town daycare and neither could hardly blame her. Rapunzel and Cassandra didn’t want her going back there anyway; they didn’t trust them and considering there was still probably a potential traitor in the kingdom, they rather keep Nova close to them at all times.

While Cassandra’s rib was pretty much healed due to breaking them before, her hand wasn’t much better. Actually, it was worse. Around other people, the warrior acted like the injury wasn’t even there but when it was just her and Rapunzel, her behavior was much different. Rapunzel had pretty much started wrapping it every time considering Cassandra still couldn’t do it herself. And just like the first night, every night no matter how hard she tried, Cassandra still ended in tears. The warrior had grown more accustomed to the injury and once more, she was learning how to live with it. But this time, it would take a bit longer to get over the pain considering it was so much worse than the first time around.

Due to Rapunzel basically taking out some of the strongest warriors in all of the lands, the people of this town had a newfound respect for her. And with respect comes popularity. The couple barely had time to themselves the past two weeks because Rapunzel had so many new ‘friends’ now. If Cassandra was being honest, she wasn’t used to it. Well, she was used to the princess making friends, but she wasn’t used to not being the one who took down the enemies.

Cassandra hated to admit it but a part of her was jealous. She wasn’t jealous of the fact that Rapunzel took down an entire flock of people but she was jealous of the fact of how Rapunzel never had any time for her anymore; except at night. She had been whisked away by so many people, have gone out, and had rarely ever been back at the house. She had been spending more time with Nova than her. Cassandra knew how bad that sounded but she missed spending time with her. The warrior was glad that Rapunzel was finally starting to be Rapunzel again but she desperately wished that didn’t mean pushing her out of the picture.

Currently, the princess was getting ready for yet another outing. “Are you going out again?” The warrior asked with annoyance as she leaned on her uninjured arm.

“It won’t be all night,” The princess responded half-heartedly, her focus barely on Cassandra.

“That’s what you said last night,” Cassandra said under her breath but she knew the princess didn’t hear her. How could she when Rapunzel was barely paying attention to her in the first place?

“You can always come with me?” Rapunzel asked, slightly turning towards her.

Cassandra scoffed and laid back against the pillow. “I want nothing to do with the people that are responsible for Nova’s kidnapping, thanks,” She responded sarcastically.

Rapunzel slowly shook her head. “Come on Cass, you know it wasn’t their fault.”

The warrior narrowed her eyes. “Oh, so you’re taking their side now?”

“I am not takin-” Rapunzel went to defend herself but she merely just took a deep breath before continuing: She knew Cassandra well enough to know that something was wrong, she wouldn't usually lash out at her like this unless something was bothering her. “You’ve been giving me snarky remarks all week,” She started. “What’s gotten into you all of a sudden?”

Cassandra merely scoffed and looked away, crossing her arms as she leaned against the headboard of the bed. “Oh so now you suddenly care?”

“Wha-” She shook her head. “What is going on with you?” When Cassandra merely stubbornly refused to look at her the princess sat on the edge of the bed. “What’s going on, Cass?”

Cassandra mistakenly met the princess’s eyes for a split second before she sighed and gave in. But her voice and face were still twisted into aggravation. “Ugh - it’s just that you’re never around anymore. And I want you to have fun and all but just not… every night. It’s been two weeks and the only time I ever get to see you is at night and usually, it's pretty late. You’ve been spending more time with Nova than with me - and I know that sounds horrible but I just… Ugh, I don’t know.” The warrior hugged her knees close to her body and rested her head on them, looking away. “You can do whatever you want, I don’t care.” She responded, immediately trying to shut herself down.

Rapunzel couldn’t help but smile at her usual Cass-like response. “Cass,” The princess started, giggling softly, making Cassandra look back at her. “If you wanted my attention to yourself, you could’ve just asked. You don’t need to be jealous.”

A deep blush immediately filled Cassandra’s cheeks. “I am not jealous,”

The princess could still hear the aggravation in her voice so she rolled her eyes and climbed in between her legs before booping the tip of her nose with her pointer finger “You so are.”

“Am not,” The warrior argued.

Rapunzel giggled. “It’s okay to be jealous, Cass. I think it’s cute.” The princess paused before adding: “The over-possessiveness is just as cute as well."

“I’m not that either,”

“Are you kidding?” Rapunzel laughed and no matter how hard Cassandra tried not to, she couldn’t help but smile. “You’re like the most possessive person there is!”

“Look who’s talking,” Cassandra responded. “You basically

‘claimed’ me when Carina was around.”

Rapunzel huffed. Ah, so the tables have turned. “She started it first,”

Cassandra smirked. “I remember the last time you said that…” She trailed off, her smirk suggestive. Rapunzel blushed at the hidden meaning. “What happened again?” Cassandra ‘innocently’ asked, tapping her chin with her finger and pretending like she was thinking. “Oh, that’s right. That was the day that I fucked your brains out until I had you screaming my name.”

“C-Cass!” Rapunzel reprimanded, a deep blush spread throughout her cheeks.

The warrior leaned forward, her eyes dark with desire, and out of instinct, Rapunzel backed away, her face still flushed. But Cass didn’t let her get far. She held onto the princess’s hips and pulled her back into her. “We’ve been going easy for nearly two months now, I think you’ve gained enough weight for us to… let loose a bit.”

Rapunzel’s eyes drifted down to Cassandra’s bandaged hand. “But Cass.. your hand… we can’t.”

Cassandra rolled her eyes. “Please, even with this injury, I can still handle you.”

“I never said you couldn’t,” Rapunzel defended. “But it’s barely healed… I don’t want you to end up hurting yourself.”

Cassandra sighed and knowing the princess would agree otherwise, she said: “How about this - if it starts hurting bad enough where it’s affecting me, we’ll stop. Okay?”

Rapunzel seemed to hesitate before asking: “You promise?”

Cassandra smile and leaned forward to press a soft, short kiss to her lips before pulling back. “I promise.” Rapunzel nodded and as soon as she agreed, Cassandra attacked. She caught Rapunzel’s lips in a fiery kiss, kissing her with everything she had. Rapunzel couldn’t help but let out a small moan when the warrior’s lips finally touched her own.

Rapunzel pressed back, leaning slightly forward. Cassandra grabbed the princess’s hips and pulled her closer so that Rapunzel was straddling her, her legs on either side of her.

The princess wrapped her arms around Cassandra’s neck and rocked against her, making the warrior let out a low groan. Cassandra eventually let go of her lips and started attacking her neck; kissing and sucking wherever she could reach. Groaning, Rapunzel gently pushed the warrior back before lifting her shirt over her head. She then leaned forward and recaught Cassandra’s lip, greedily running her hands all over her exposed skin.

Cassandra groaned when the princess’s warm hands found her skin. Cassandra let out an accidental wince when Rapunzel accidentally passed over her still-sensitive midsection. Rapunzel pulled back and fixed her with a worried glance. “Are you sure you’re healed enough for this?”

Cassandra smiled at her wife’s sweet worry and leaned forward to press a soft kiss to her lips before pulling back. “I’m fine, Raps. It's nothing I can’t handle.”

Rapunzel merely gave her a frown. ”Usually when you say ‘it's nothing I can’t handle’, it means you’re overdoing it.”

“Raps, I’m fine, really.” The warrior tried to convince her but Rapunzel still seemed hesitant. “Rapunzel, please,” The warrior used her full name, knowing it would peak the princess's attention. She lowered her voice as she ran her hands up her arms. The princess tensed. “I know you need this just as much as I do.” She couldn’t help but smile triumphantly when Rapunzel let out a sexually-frustrated groan.

“Fine but if you start complaining about the pain later, I am going to walk out of the house.”

Cassandra chuckled. “Whatever you say.” Talking went out the window as the warrior recaught her lips. Rapunzel immediately melted into the kiss as she kissed her back just as feverishly. Cassandra pulled the princess even closer into her body before thrusting up against her, causing Rapunzel to let go of her lips and moan. Grabbing both legs, she tilted the princess forward until Rapunzel was laying on the bed with Cassandra above her; her lips back on hers.

Cassandra still held onto the princess’s legs before once more thrusting against her, again making Rapunzel moan. “Keep doing that and we’re gonna be here all night.”

Cassandra pulled away and smirked. “I wouldn’t be obliged to that,” Rapunzel rolled her eyes before grabbing some of the warrior’s hair and pulling her forward to once more meet her lips. “Impatient, impatient…” Cassandra mumbled against her lips, thoroughly teasing her. Rapunzel huffed.

“Says the one who couldn’t wait a couple more days,”

“It’s already been two weeks and this is the first time we’ve done this since we arrived in this place. I’m horny, aggravated, and pent up in this damn house.”

“Excuses, excuses…” Rapunzel responded, using Cassandra’s earlier phrasing.

“I may be injured but that doesn’t mean I can’t show you who’s boss again.”

Rapunzel tilted her head ‘innocently’. “I don’t know, Cass,” She started. “There’s a lot of me to handle and you only got one hand,”

“How about I show you what I can ‘handle’?” Cassandra asked, her voice low and dark with desire as she leaned forward, her nose touching Rapunzel’s.

“Hm,” Rapunzel hummed. “Let me see what you got hotshot.” Cassandra chuckled darkly but she didn’t say anything as she recaught Rapunzel’s lips, this time being rougher and more dominant.

Cassandra thrust roughly against her, purposely hitting all her sensitive spots. Rapunzel threw her head back and moaned. “Like that, hm?” Cassandra asked more to herself. She then did it again, causing the same reaction.

“Stop… teasing..” Rapunzel panted, moaning softly.

“Aw but why? It’s just so much fun.” Cassandra couldn’t help but grin when Rapunzel let out an annoyed groan.

“Come on Cass,” Rapunzel whined. “I’m too worked up for foreplay.”

Cassandra fixed her with a ‘reprimanding’ glare. “I don’t listen to whiners.”

“Cassss!” Rapunzel whined a second time.

Cassandra pulled back, just out of the princess’s reach. Rapunzel nearly screamed in frustration. “Sorry,” Cassandra responded, keeping up with her 'innocent' attitude. “I don’t know what you want from me.”

“You’re gonna make me say it, aren’t you?” Rapunzel asked, her voice filled with aggravation and exasperation.

“Depends,” Cassandra responded. “Do you want to continue and fall into sweet, sweet relief or do you want to go to bed turned on and sexually frustrated?”

Rapunzel narrowed her eyes. “You wouldn’t dare.”

Cassandra merely smirked. “Oh, you know I would.” When Rapunzel didn’t respond, Cassandra proved her bluff by pulling away and off of her completely. Rapunzel tried to grab her before she got too far but the warrior was faster. Cassandra, still smirking, backed away and sat on her knees.

“You’re not playing very nice,” Rapunzel mumbled as she pouted cutely.

“Never said this was gonna be a fair game.” The warrior narrowed her eyes. “Now say it.” Rapunzel matched her gaze. Cassandra smirked again, knowing that the princess was completely at her mercy. “Come on, Rapunzel~” The warrior leaned forward ever so slightly and walked her fingers up Rapunzel’s arm. The princess tensed. “I know you want me,” Cassandra started. “So make it easier on both of us and give in.” Rapunzel narrowed her eyes and didn’t respond. Cassandra let out a dark chuckle before she crawled forward so that she was partially on top of Rapunzel and between her legs. Rapunzel instinctively tried to close her legs but Cassandra only pushed them open again. She eventually started to slowly scoot backward until her back hit the head of the bed, her face still flushed. Cassandra climbed until she was directly in between her legs, mere inches away from her face. She didn’t press forward, she merely kept a triumphant smirk on her face. Rapunzel’s face was a bright red at this point.

“Come on Raps, it’s only two little words. You say them and I promise you I’ll show you a real good time~.” It was tempting, it was, but the princess’s stubbornness once more got in the way.

“What are you going to do to me if I don’t?” Rapunzel narrowed her eyes in challenge.

Cassandra made a humming sound in the back of her throat and backed up again until she was once more sitting on her knees. “Forbade sex for a couple of weeks.”

Rapunzel was caught off guard by that one - that wasn’t usually one of her ‘punishments’. “What? You can’t do that!”

Cassandra huffed. “I can and I will.” But then she smirked. “But it’s not up to me, is it, princess?”

Rapunzel narrowed her eyes. “That’s cold,” She responded. “You can’t use manipulation.”

“I just did.” Cassandra tilted her head, smirking. “So, what’s it gonna be princess? Are you gonna give me what I want or are we gonna be going to bed sexually frustrated and touched deprived every night?”

Rapunzel huffed and Cassandra’s smirk widened knowing that she got her. “Fine,” Rapunzel mumbled before saying something under her breath.

Cassandra put a hand to her ear. “What? I can’t hear you.” She smirked. “Try saying it louder.”

Rapunzel grumbled a couple of curse words under her breath and rolled her eyes. “Fuck me, Cassandra.” She said, pronouncing each syllable slowly and with clenched teeth.

“There you go! See, that wasn’t so hard, now was it?” Rapunzel merely rolled her eyes. But just as she promised, the warrior quickly thrust into her, causing Rapunzel to throw her head back and moan in surprise.

“H-How did you-”

Cassandra winked. “I’m getting sneakier and sneakier, my love.” Rapunzel had no idea where this sudden playful attitude came from but hey, she wasn’t complaining. Cassandra started to quicken her thrusts and as she did so, Rapunzel’s moans grew. Eventually, the princess grabbed Cassandra by her hair again and reconnected their lips. Cassandra chuckled into the kiss but otherwise kissed her back just as feverishly, tongue and all.

The warrior continued her rapid, harsh thrusts with everything she had. Rapunzel eventually couldn’t hang on anywhere as she disconnected her lips and threw her head back, her nails digging into the sheets below them.

Cassandra panted. “Who do you belong to, Rapunzel?”

Rapunzel moaned. “Y-You, Cass.”

“Good,” Cassandra responded, giving Rapunzel a specifically hard thrust as a ‘reward’. “For how long?”

Rapunzel moaned as she felt the building release creeping up on her. It was becoming increasingly hard to focus. “F-Forever.”

“Good girl,” Cassandra smirked, gripping her hips tightly as she endlessly pounded into her. The warrior eventually re-caught her lips into another fiery kiss as she endlessly pounded into her, the princess moved her arms to wrap them around the warrior's neck. When Cassandra quickened her pace, the princess couldn’t help but dig her nails into her back as she moaned into her mouth. Still kissing her, Cassandra smirked and if she wasn’t so lost in passion and pleasure, Rapunzel would’ve elbowed her for the over-cocky smirk.

Rapunzel soon found herself unable to keep up with Cassandra’s rapid thrusts as well as her wild, open-mouthed, hot kisses that made Rapunzel’s head spin. She found herself unable to keep her lips interlocked with Cassandra’s as she threw her head back and moaned. Cass immediately attacked her neck, kissing, sucking, and leaving more marks wherever she could. “F-Fuck..” Cassandra heard the princess mumble under her breath, surprising the hell out of her.

Another smirk formed on her lips. “Guess I’m just that good, huh?”

Rapunzel opened one eye - when did they close? - and tried to glare but a swift thrust made her nearly immobilized. “S-Shut up..” She stuttered, the statement ending in a deep moan.

“Now, is that any way to speak to your ‘master’?” Cassandra was honestly teasing and Rapunzel knew that.

Her one open eye was now half-open. “My master?” She asked with amusement. “That’s a new one.” But then Rapunzel gave her a teasing smirk. “Wouldn’t it be the other way around though? People do call you my ‘guard dog’.”

Cassandra huffed and leaned forward, her lips barely brushing Rapunzel’s. She never stopped her instantaneous thrusts. “Since when do people call me your ‘guard dog’?”

“Since you tried to take out the captain of the guard and the queen for only doing their jobs.”

“How come I haven’t heard of this?”

“Because you never leave the house unless it's absolutely necessary and refuse to mingle with, and I quote, ‘the people who are responsible for Nova’s kidnapping’. Sounds like guard dog material, don’t you think?” Rapunzel had to hold back a laugh when the warrior merely gave her an offended scoff. She loved to tease her more than anything; just like the warrior teased her.

Cassandra grumbled then snorted. “Yeah, you wish.” She then smirked and Rapunzel immediately knew that the tables were about to be switched real quick. “They wanna see me as a ‘guard dog’, I don't really care.” The warrior leaned forward until she was inches away from Rapunzel’s lips. “But they’re never gonna question who’s the ‘master’ in this relationship ever again. I mean, if I’m a dog, then it’s safe to say that I’m supposed to leave my mark on what’s mine, hm?”

Rapunzel’s eyes widened in realization before they narrowed. “You wouldn’t…”

Cassandra merely chuckled darkly. “Oh, but I would.” She responded. “Watch me.” Before Rapunzel could stop her, the warrior again caught her lips to get her to shut up and once more quickened her pace, making sure that the princess was distracted enough from stopping her. When Rapunzel once more threw her head back, her eyes unable to stay open anymore, Cassandra attacked her neck once more. This time, she purposely left darker marks; biting, sucking, and licking anywhere and everywhere. Rapunzel wanted to stop her but she was too far into pleasure heaven to honestly care. And she knew that’s what Cassandra wanted.

It wasn’t long before she felt a release creeping up on her. She didn’t need to say anything, Cassandra could tell by the way her breathing changed; her chest heaving with difficulty. She quickened her pace, slightly changing her angle so she was hitting a different spot. That immediately did it. Rapunzel’s mouth went slack, her body tensed and her nail dug into Cassandra’s back, scratching upwards and leaving red marks. The feeling of her wife’s nails on her back immediately triggered her own release as she stilled her hips and let out a low groan.

Once she could move again, Cassandra moved off Rapunzel, both women panting, before taking off the toy and throwing it somewhere onto the floor then she plopped next to the princess, still panting softly. “God, it’s been so long.” Cassandra heard Rapuznel’s breathless voice say. The sound of it alone got her all worked up all over again but she knew that she was still healing herself and although Rapunzel was way farther along than she started, her body still wasn’t at its full potential.

Cassandra placed her arms behind her head and smirked. “And you wanted to stop.”

Rapunzel fixed her with a reprimanding glare. “You’re the one that put it off until I ‘gained some weight’.”

“If I did what I did a couple of weeks ago, I literally would have broken you. Your body was weak and frail.”

“Wow, thanks, Cass,” Rapunzel responded sarcastically.

“You know that I’m right though.”

“Doesn’t mean I have to admit it.” Cassandra merely rolled her eyes at her response before wrapping one of her arms around the princess, bringing her close to her side. Rapunzel cuddled into her.

“When do you ever admit that I’m right?”

“I did the other day.”

“One time doesn’t count for every.”

“If I go back to every time you were right, we’d be here all day, maybe all week.”

Cassandra glanced down at her and smirked. “So you admit it, then? That I'm always right?”

Rapunzel paused and realized that she very much just did. She ended up narrowing her eyes. “No.”

Cassandra’s smirk widened. “I think you just unknowingly did.”

“I take it back.”

“You can’t, no take-backsies.”

“What are you? 5?”

“I’m only repeating the word you have used for years so who’s the 5-year-old now?” Rapunzel merely huffed in annoyance and playfully shoved her, making Cassandra laugh, which made the princess grin.

But then Rapunzel’s motherly instincts and worry kicked in as she directed her eyes to her hand. “How’s your hand? Does it hurt?”

Cassandra smiled at her. “It always hurts,” She answered honestly. “But it’s slowly becoming bearable. Well, more like numb.”

“...Are you sure? Isn’t it time to rewrap it?”

Cassandra shrugged. “Probably.” Rapunzel rolled her eyes at her lack of taking it seriously and got up to grab the bandages on the side table by their bed. She held out her hand expectantly and Cassandra immediately gave her own to her.

Cassandra watched the princess as she took care of her hand. She often did so whenever Rapunzel wrapped it, it helped get her mind off of the pain. Whenever Rapunzel wrapped her hand, she took it incredibly seriously. She kept her attention only on her hand and with every touch, she was sure to be soft and loving, taking extra caution to try and hurt her as little as possible. Her touches were feather-light and she handled her damaged hand with a careful, gentle touch. Cassandra didn’t even know if Rapunzel knew that she always watched her - she always seemed so concentrated and focused. She never took her eyes off of her hand until it was done. And when she was done, she held it lovingly in her own hands, pressing a soft kiss to the top of it, as she always did.

Cassandra had her head tilted, her hair falling forward, still seemingly watching the princess. Rapunzel must’ve finally noticed her as the princess gave a cute tilt of her head and smiled at Cassandra as the warrior placed her hand back down in her lap. “Why are you looking at me like that?”

“No reason,” Cassandra responded. “I just like watching you.”

Rapunzel giggled. “Stalker much?” She teased.

Cassandra playfully shoved her, causing a laugh to arise from the princess. “When it comes to you, ‘stalking’ does not exist.”

“Cass, you can’t just deny a behavior just because we’re married.”

“Fine,” Cassandra said. “I don’t ‘stalk’, I prowl.”

Rapunzel laughed. “I thought you said that you weren’t a dog?” She teased. Again, the warrior huffed and shoved her, causing another laugh to arise out of her. “Oh, and you very much stalk. You always have - ever since we met.”

“I call it - keeping an eye on you to make sure you don’t get yourself into trouble like you always seem to do when I turn back.”

It was Rapunzel’s turn to huff. “It’s not like I do it on purpose. I don’t go looking for trouble.” Cassandra raised an eyebrow and fixed her with a deadpan expression. “...most of the time.” She added.

“You are literally the definition of trouble.”

“Okay, Ms. I’m gonna start a fight with anyone and everyone I meet.”

“That’s Mrs, thank you very much. And maybe people should stop pissing me off.”

“Everyone pisses you off, Cass.”

“That’s why I hate people.” When Rapunzel snapped her head towards her and glared, Cassandra quickly added: “E-Except you and Nova, of course.”

“What about all of our friends back home?”

“I tolerate them.”

Rapunzel rolled her eyes. “Please, your whole ‘tough girl’ attitude doesn’t fool me. You love them.”

“‘Love’ is a strong word.”

“You’re not slick, my love,” Cassandra responded by grumbling under her breath causing Rapunzel to giggle. Rapunzel leaned up and pressed a kiss to her cheek. “I can’t wait to tell Eugene that you care about him.”

Cassandra narrowed her eyes. “You do that and I’ll tell everyone that you cuss in bed.”

It was Rapunzel’s turn to narrow her eyes. “If you tell anyone about what happens in bed, I’m divorcing you. Especially Eugene.”

Cassandra smirked. “Why? I’ve always wanted to gloat about how well I take care of his ex-girlfriend and how good I make her feel. Way better than he ever did.”

Rapunzel blushed deeply and looked away. “I swear to god, I have divorce papers, I will not hesitate to sign them.”

Cassandra tilted her head. She felt that she should be offended but she wasn’t. “Why do you have divorce papers? You better not be divorcing me anytime soon.”

“Just, you know… thought I’d have them… just in case.”

Cassandra narrowed her eyes to consider her then she gave her a deadpan expression. “You don’t have divorce papers, do you?”

“...No.” Cassandra smirked so Rapunzel added: “But I know where I can get them. Don’t test me.”

“Please,” Cassandra started, poking her in the side. “You couldn’t last a day without me.” She smirked. “I make you feel too good.”

“I don’t know, Cass,” Rapunzel started. “I have a lot of other options I could always turn to… both male and female.”

Just as she expected (and what she wanted), Cassandra’s eyes narrowed in jealousy. “What other options?” She asked, her voice low.

Rapunzel giggled. “I knew that that would make you jealous.”

Cassandra scoffed and shoved her, making Rapunzel laugh. “Don’t say things like that or we’re gonna have multiple murders on our hands.” She wrapped both arms around Rapunzel’s midsection and pulled her into her body. “You’re mine and mine only.”

Rapunzel giggled as she cuddled into Cassandra. “And you say you’re not possessive.”

“I fought way too damn hard to make you mine for there to be other options that might get in my way.”

Rapunzel rolled her eyes and nuzzled her. “Don’t worry, Cass, you’re the only one for me and I'm not leaving you anytime soon.”

"You better not be," Cassandra said with narrowed eyes but then a thought struck her: “Wait, so does that mean there are other options?”

Rapunzel scratched the back of her neck. “Well…”

But instead of getting offended, Cassandra merely responded with: “Eh, I’m not surprised. You’re already way hot in my eyes, I can’t imagine what it’s like for others.” A deep blush filled Rapunzel’s cheeks.

“S-Stop that,” Rapunzel stuttered, playfully pushing her away.

Cassandra tilted her head ‘innocently’ and rested it in her hand, knowing full well what it was doing to the princess. “Stop what? Telling the truth?”

“Stop being so sweet,” Rapunzel grinned. “It doesn’t look good on you. You’re supposed to be the ‘fear me or I will cut you down’ one. I’m the sweet one.”

Cassandra snorted. “Oh yeah? Says the one who took down an entire army of big-muscled women with just a flick of her wrist.”

“So did you. More than once, actually. One of the times you did it without any magical powers.”

“Those were men, there's a difference.” Cassandra grinned when Rapunzel only gave her an annoyed huff.

“You know what I mean. Besides, that’s worse. Men are usually stronger.” Rapunzel grinned.

Cassandra let out an over-exaggerated gasp and playfully swatted at her, causing Rapunzel to laugh. “You take that back.”

“Never.”

“Fine but you asked for it,” Cassandra smirked and backed up slowly like a cat as she got ready to pounce on her prey.

Rapunzel’s eyes widened in realization as she tried to scramble away. “Cassandra, don’t you da-!” But it was already too late. The warrior pounced onto her, successively pinning her to the bed, and started to tickle her; wary of her own hand. Rapunzel immediately burst into laughter.

“Take it back!”

“N-Never!” Rapunzel laughed madly.

Cassandra merely smirked. “Suit yourself,” She started attacking her in all her sensitive places; the only places she (and maybe Pascal) knew of.

Rapunzel let out a squeal of laughter. “Okay, okay, I take it back! I take it back!” She knew that would get her.

Cassandra immediately stopped and sat back on her knees. “Thought so.” As Rapunzel tried to catch her breath, the warrior couldn’t stop herself from running her hands sensually up Rapunzel’s body in a loving manner, making the princess tense, before finally getting off of her. The warrior nuzzled Rapunzel with her nose, making her giggle.

Then Cassandra just… watched her for a second. The princess’s eyes stared back into her own as she pretty much examined her. Her cheeks were bright, her smile big, her eyes soft… a look Cassandra hadn’t seen in so long; it nearly made her heart jump out of her chest. She ended up giving her one of her sweeter smiles as she reached forward and rubbed her cheek with her thumb. Rapunzel leaned into it. “I’m proud of you,” Cassandra suddenly said, catching Rapunzel off guard.

Rapunzel tilted her head and smiled. “Proud of me? For what?”

“I mean, look at you..” Cassandra started. “It’s been so long since we’ve just… goofed off like this. Without anything else going on.” Finally, Rapunzel caught on to what she was saying. Smiling, the princess grabbed her hand and stared at their interlocked fingers.

“It’s all because of you.” She said softly.

“Rapunzel, I told you-”

“I know,” Rapunzel cut her off. “But without you, none of this would have been possible. Without you, I probably wouldn’t even be here right now.” She said sullenly, still ashamed that she almost lost a battle with herself. The princess looked downward. Cassandra redirected her eyes back towards her and pressed a small kiss to the tip of her nose.

“I’m just glad you’re finally starting to be happy again,” Cassandra whispered, her voice genuinely full of emotion.

“Me too,” Rapunzel admitted softly, staring into her eyes. She paused before continuing. “...Thank you.” She said, no other words came after.

Despite her lack of words, Cassandra knew what she was saying.

“You don’t need to thank me, love. I’ll always be here for you when you need me and I’ll always be here to pick you up when you fall, no matter what.” Cassandra gave her a small smile. “I kinda took vows as a promise.”

Rapunzel leaned forward a pressed a soft kiss to her lips before pulling back. “What you’ve done for me is above and beyond the vows that we said.” She looked down. “I put you through a lot,” She started.

“Raps-” Cassandra tried to interrupt but Rapunzel remet her eyes.

“Please let me finish.” Cassandra hesitated before nodding. “And I said a lot of mean things; not just you to you but to Nova as well and it nearly cost us our relationship.” She paused. “...You had every chance, every opportunity, every right to leave. Yet... you didn’t.” She paused again, unsure how to pose this next question. “...Why?”

Cassandra was caught off guard by the question as she seriously thought about it. Although Cassandra knew that she was getting better, she still knew that she had some ways to go and there were most likely gonna be questions like this from time to time. “...Because I love you, Rapunzel.” She answered honestly. “You’d do - you’ve done - the same for me.” She then gave Rapunzel a sweet smile as she rubbed her cheek with her bandaged hand. “Haven’t you learned by now that there isn’t anything that can tear us apart? If our relationship can survive me literally trying to kill you then it can survive anything that’s thrown at us.” She winked. “You’re not getting rid of me that easily.”

Rapunzel let out a slightly watered giggle. “As if I would ever want to get rid of you.”

“If you had the chance, you totally would.” Cassandra teased. “Then you wouldn’t have to deal with my sarcastic over-protective and sometimes overbearing ass.”

“Nah, I’d miss you too much,” Rapunzel responded with a grin. “And I like your ass just fine, thank you very much.”

Cassandra gave her a surprised look at her un-Rapunzel-like cussing but then she couldn’t help but laugh, which made Rapunzel's grin widen. Cassandra rolled her eyes. “Yeah, I bet you do.” Rapunzel giggled.

Cassandra then gave her a genuine smile and pulled her into her arms; the princess's face buried in her exposed chest. Rapunzel cuddled into her warmth and interlocked their fingers so that they were holding hands. “I love you, Rapunzel,” Cassandra said genuinely, kissing the top of her forehead.

Rapunzel smiled, her eyes half open. She pressed a soft kiss to the top of her bandaged hand then pressed a kiss under her chin before she hid her face into her neck. “I love you too, Cassandra.” Cassandra didn’t say anything, she merely pulled her closer and pressed another kiss to her forehead. Rapunzel wrapped her arms around Casasndra’s mid-section and let out a contented sigh, her eyes already closed. Cassandra pulled the blanket over them, taking extra care to tuck in the princess (which made a cute smile arise out of Rapunzel) then she wrapped her arms around as tight as she could around the already half-asleep woman. Rapunzel cuddled into her, feeling safe, comforted, and protected.

“G’night Raps,” Cassandra mumbled quietly.

“G’night Cass,” Rapunzel responded even quieter, her voice slurred and tired. It didn’t take long before the princess fell asleep in the warrior’s arms. Cassandra just watched her for a second; studying her peace-filled face. Cassandra hadn’t seen the princess sleep this soundly, this peacefully, in quite some time and it made her heart warm. Ever since Rapunzel started showing signs of depression back in Corona, the princess wasn’t able to get a full night of rest, even recently. so Cassandra desperately hoped that tonight, Rapunzel could finally get the rest that she deserved and by the look of how peaceful and comfortable she looked, the warrior guessed that she would. Though, she’s been wrong before.

Deciding that she would just have to wait and see, Cassandra pulled Rapunzel as close as she could and hid her face in her hair; smelling the beautiful scent she loved so much. Not even a minute later, Cassandra was passed out just as Rapunzel was.
