Car Model
Today was the downtown car show. Every year, the boys of Todai looked forward to this. Mainly just to show off. Shojiro and Jim wanted to do the same. They were like little kids in a toy store. It was as if they were eight again.
“Wow!” Jim yelped. “This is the Promised Land!” His friend looked at him confused.
“I thought a girl's bedroom was,” Shojiro said. His buddy turned to him smiling.
“That too,” he reasoned. “This is the other half.” Shojiro nodded.
“True,” he said. “True!” The boys looked around again. The cars weren't the only thing on their minds. Oh no! They had a plan today. The boys were knights in their mind. They had women to impress today. Shojiro wanted to look like a man to Kizo. Jim wanted to secretly impress Gwen. How to do that? The car show provide the answer—somehow. Shojiro turned to Jim.
“So, what should we do first?” he asked. Jim thought about that for a moment. A grin came onto his face.
“Check out the cars!” they both said. Always a good plan, boys! Tokyo's Car Show had a good display this year. Cars are like women, the boys observed. This show had some nice bodies to them. Both in cars and women. Jim and Shojiro just had to look.
“Nice!” they said. Too true, boys! Suddenly, Shojiro noticed someone standing next to him. He slowly looked to his right. A young floor model stood next to him smiling. This was a cute little pixie. The only thing big about her was her bouncing boobs. Her red, white, and black uniform put emphasis on her figure. The miniskirt and blouse would scream hate for feminists. The model grinned at him.
“Care for a tour or a drink?” she offered. Shojiro recognized her right away.
“Yuuko?” he asked in surprised. The model stared back at him in equal shock.
“Shojiro? Jim?” she asked. Jim turned to the pair. He too was surprised!
“Yuuko?” he asked. “You're working here today?” The freshman girl blushed.
“Well, I needed the money…” she mumbled. The buxom girl looked at her classmates. “So what are you guys doing here?” she asked.
“Uh, well…” Shojiro began. Jim stepped forward boldly.
“Shojiro and I are racing today!” he bragged. His pal looked at him confused.
“We are?” Shojiro asked.
“You are?” Yuuko asked.
“Hell yes!” Jim bragged. “Wish us luck, because we're gonna win!” The model's face lit up instantly.
“Okay then!” she said. “Good luck!” Then, Yuuko headed off to deal with the other guests. Shojiro whipped around to his pal.
“Jim, what the hell?!?” he hissed. His buddy shrugged at the boy.
“Hey, impresses the women!” he reasoned. “All we have to do is win the race and we will be heroes!” Shojiro glared at him.
“But how are going to do that, smart ass?” he hissed. “We're not in the race and we don't even have any cars!” Jim gave him a wicked smirk.
“Leave it to me!” he said. “I've got a plan.” Shojiro looked on paranoid. Nothing good followed those words. This was really one of those times. This just couldn't be good. But yet…
“How?” the boy challenged. Jim didn't answer. He just dragged his friend to the sign-up booth.
The car race was the main event of the show. Anyone could enter. Anyone with cars, that is. Not a problem to Jim. He knew how to get the vehicles. Shojiro watched on nervous. To his surprise, Jim did a astounding job. It only took a minute. The boy came back to his friend, grinning. Shojiro looked at him oddly.
“So,” he said. Jim grinned on still.
“We're in!” he said. Shojiro looked at him oddly.
“How?” he asked. Jim grinned at him still.
“Follow me!” he commanded. Jim dragged his buddy into the car lot. Shojiro reluctantly followed. There was no way that this could end well. They came into the car lot. Jim turned to his friend, grinning.
“Behold!” he said. Shojiro looked on. Disappointment covered his face.
“What?!?” he wailed. They were looking at two bright neon yellow hummers. The cars looked rather outdated as well. Easy to see why Shojiro was worried. Jim grinned on still.
“Aren't they a beaut?” he asked. His friend worried even more.
“But, they're… yellow… and old… and yellow!” he complained. That didn't bother Jim at all.
“So?” he asked.
“They're yellow!” Shojiro repeated. “Girls will laugh at us if we race in these!”
“It doesn't matter what they look like!” his friend insisted. “They've got the body for speed! We can make this work! Look, all we have to do is win the race and the ladies will flock to us like we're heroes! Come on, we can do this!” Shojiro still looked uneasy.
“You sure?” he asked.
“Yes!” Jim said, nodding. “Now are you in or now?” His friend thought about it for a moment. Then, he sighed in reluctant defeat.
“Fine,” he said. “I'll do it!” His friend grinned at him.
“Good boy!” he said. “Now let's go win the chicks!” He climbed into the first open hummer and drove down the race track. Shojiro sighed again.
“Right…” he mumbled to himself. Then, he got into the other hummer and followed after his friend. Wish ya luck, boys!
