Curse

Chapter 1 The Curse
"Why...why would you betray me?" said a young elf maiden crying, "Why would you
treat me like I'm nothing?....Why...why...why would you cheat on me?" the young elf maiden
ran away as far as she could away from cheating lover.
"I DID'NT MEAN TO DO IT" shouted the lowly elf in the doorway, holding the door
ope.. The elf looked down to the ground and started to cry, but when he looked up, his lover
was gone. He slammed the door, turned around, then collapsed on the ground
"Don't worry about her, she meant nothing to you...right?" said the sly elf, Shiva.
"No.....she.....she meant everything to me" said the Lowly Elf, Kin, starting to cry. "SHE
MEANT EVERYTHING TO ME, I LOVED HER, I LOVED....ATALIA, I LOVED HER
WITH ALL MY HEART" shouted Kin, crying, "And..I...I wasted my love on you, why...why
would you do such a thing?!?!" asked Kin, crying.
"ME?!?!, I didn't make you waste your love on me, that was your choice, I seduced you,
and you couldn't resist me" said Shiva, snickering with an evil grin.
"STOP IT, you stop talking you, you, you..." started Kin
"Stop what?" asked Shiva, still snickering.
"You, your the reincarnation of Lust itself, you manipulated me, you sin" Kin said,
venomously.
"Oh, stop, stop it, stop complimenting me" Shiva said, proud of what just happened.
Kin started to tear up even more, Kin opened the door, as he began to run, he slammed
the door behind him, still hearing Shiva laughing. He ran, he ran all the way to the midway
point of the mountain, he got tired and started to cry beneath a tree. But then he heard
something, he stopped crying to hear better, he heard a whimper. He got up, he went closer to
the whimper, he kept on stepping closer, breathing with his mouth open so he could hear better.
He crept closer to the whimper, he accidentally stepped on a twig, making a crack in the
whimpering, he quickly went behind a tree, his back on the trunk of the tree standing up, stiff
as wood. The whimpering person looked up, to where the sound was, the person didn't see
anything, so the person started to cry again, over her ordeal.
Kin turned around peering over the corner of the tree, he looked at the person, trying to
figure out who it was, while his eye's were adjusting to the dark, he was looking at the
whimpering person, when his eyes got adjusted to the dark, he noticed it was his lover Atalia.
He came from behind the tree and turned around, and said "Atalia", his lips were trembling, his
voice started to break. Atalia looked up, still crying.
"Why did you do that to me? I've loved you none stop, and you repay me like this?" said
Atalia.
"I didn't mean to..." Kin said beginning to protest his innocence.
"YOU DIDN'T MEAN TO??!?!" said Atalia, angrily, and sad, at the same time.
"I didn't want to do it, but.." Kin started.
"But....but what?, I thought you loved me" Atalia said, starting to cry again.
"I do, she drugged me, I'm telling you, I did not want to do this, it's like she took control of
my mind, I promise you with all the love in my heart, all the night in the sky, the beauty of the
moon...I didn't mean to do it...I love you" Kin said.
"Word's, there all words, all it is is talk, you can't prove anything with jabbering off your
mouth" Atalia said crying.
They were both crying, Kin by the tree five feet away from Atalia, Atalia crying, both of
them not knowing what to do. Kin try's to say something, but his sadness creates a welt in his
neck, Atalia the same.
They sit there crying for hours, there's no sound except for there cry's. They stopped
crying a few hours later. The had there backs facing each other, there heads down to the
ground, not saying anything, there's silence, nothing but silence.
Then Atalia said "I must be going now, I'm sorry, but I can't talk to you anymore, you
betrayed me, and if I tell my dad...you'll die" Atalia started crying, she ran to the base of the
mountain, and ran to the back entrance of the castle. She went in, that's the last Kin saw of her.
He just stood there shocked, shocked at what he done, shocked that she's gone like that, he
didn't know what to do. He turned around slowly, he went to the path, and started to walk,
shuffling his feet across the dirt path, staggering from left to right. He staggered all the way
home, he stopped at his entrance, praying, and hoping Shiva, would be gone. He opened the
door, he peered around the corner, and didn't see Shiva, he just walked towards his couch, he
started to turn around to sit down, but then he noticed something, on his table, an unopened
scroll. He went over to it, he untied the scroll, he opened it, it read :
"Dear Kin,
If you have this, then this means we can't see each other,
you must've cheated on me, or something bad,
I made this letter when we first went out,
If you have this, then this means we can send each other mail,
No rose's delivered, nothing, I don't want to have to do anything with you,
If you try to contact me, I'll get my dad, to get rid of you, He's a King,
I never told you of my heritage, so you'd love me for who I am,
Not so you can get rich, although you have this...I still love you,
I'm sorry it must end this way, but it must be.

Kin clutched it, he crumpled it up with his hands tightening, he stared to cry again, he
went over to his couch, sat down, and cried himself to sleep.
It was morning, the rays came down on the city, it came through the hole, you could call
a window, and the rays hit Kin, like soft punches. He grabbed his head "Man, that was some
dream.." Kin started to say, "Hey Atalia" Kin shouted so anyone in his home could hear him, he
didn't hear a response, he looked at his hand, the scroll still in his, hand, he opened it and read
again. He didn't know what to do, he stood there with a blank stare, staring at the ground,
anger, sadness, grieve, slowly festering inside. He stood up, slowly inching his way toward the
door, he stumbled and fell, his face smacked the floor, he got back up, brushed himself off, and
went out his house, he went down to the creek, sat down, and watched the water go by,
splashing up on him, now and then.
The rays hit Atalia, like a pan, she got up, she shielded her eyes, not knowing what to do,
usually, she'll kiss Kin up, or vica-versa, but this morning was different, nothing happened, it
felt like time stood still to her, in her room, she just sat up staring at the window, that was
shining with gold. Everything was still, except until her dad, rushed the door open, he looked
surprised, "Atalia, your hear, usually your in the living room,or the attic, how was it in your
bed?" her dad said, with a smile.
"It was comfortable" Atalia said listlessly.
Her dad looked at her, and said "What's wrong dear, did something happen?",
"Nothing" Atalia said, she got up and went downstairs to the dining area.
Her dad just followed her, puzzled, not knowing whats going on.
In the dining area, she didn't touch her food.
"Dear, whats wrong, you haven't touched your food?" said her dad.
"Nothing, I just don't have much of an appetite this morning, may I be excused?" said
Atalia, dismissing her self from the table, she went to her bedroom balcony, watching the creek
go by, listlessly.
She went back into her room, doing a prayer : "Oh, God, and Goddess, hear my plea,
please hear my plea, I never meant for this to happen, I never wanted us to split up, please may
you make my ex-boyfriend, have a great life, I just want the best for him". Prayed Atalia.
Then at the exact time she was praying, Kin prayed that to, but so she would have a
great life. Then a Solar Eclipse happened, everyone just stared at it in awe.
Then Atalia's dad came in the room and said "I heard your prayer, I know you want
privacy, but I had to know what was wrong my dear" Atalia looked down at the ground, crying.
Her dad outreached his hand for his daughter to grab, she did, and he pulled her up, but her
head was still down. Her dad brung her over to the balcony, and said "Atalia, look up, look up
to the eclipse" started her dad, she looked at the solar eclipse, "There's a tale behind the eclipse,
they say it appears every Five-Hundred years, it also appears when someone's prayer has been
answered" said her dad, she looked ecstatic, her dad left the room.
At that time, Kin was looking up remembering something his granpapa said when he
was a little boy, he remembered his granpapa saying "There is a legend about an eclipse, I've
never seen one in my lifetime, but the legend goes, the eclipse appears every Five-Hundred
years, and if someone's prayer being answered", his granpapa was full of tales, and legends, but
remembering that last of it, he became ecstatic.
But then time stood still everything was silent every one was silent Kin, looked down at
the creek, it was still, not frozen, but it was still, and silent.
At the same time Atalia, looked down at the creek, in disbelief, she thought her eye's
were playing tricks on her, so she went to find her dad, when she found him she yelled for him,
but got no response, so she ran up to him, she looked at his face, but it was frozen, just looking
forward, she poked him, but nothing happened. She went outside, because she was worried
about Kin, she ran to his house, but at the same time Kin was worried about Atalia, so he ran
for her, they were both running, and then they ran into each other. They both fell down on the
bottoms, they looked up, and saw each other, and got up and hugged each other, but
remembering what happened last night, they let go, and turned there backs to each other, their
heads drooping.
They both heard a whisper, they turned around and looked at each other, puzzled, not
knowing what just happened, but then they heard the whisper more clear. They followed the
whisper all the way to the top of the mountain, it led them to the entrance to a cave, then the
whisper said "Go in, the cave, what you want will be in there..", they both held each others
hand, closed their eyes, and walked slowly in the cave, when they ran into something,
stumbling over it, tripping, they opened their eyes, and stood up regaining there balance,
looking everywhere, wondering what this place is. Everything was gold, there were two golden
throne chairs, they looked below there feet, there mouth got wider, they were standing on
clouds, they looked above them, it was a golden sky, they heard a voice, a stern, but comforting
masculine voice say "Look to the throne, you have prayed and your prayer has been heard",
They both looked at the thrones, there was a man, and a woman, they were truly
supreme beings. They looked at them in awe, there mouths wide open.
The feminine figure said nicely "Pleases close your mouths", they both closed there
mouths. They were just looking at them with wide eyes, they both said in unison "You two
have prayed for each other to be healthy, you prayed for each others well being right?" they
both said.
They gulped and said "Yes" there voice was trembling, there were nervous as what was
about to happen,
Then the masculine figure pointed, at Kin, and motioned Kin to follow him, the
masculine figure lead him somewhere else.
The feminine figure pointed at Atalia and motioned her to follow her.
The masculine stopped at one end, a bright side, a Gold side, everything was gold, and
everything was bright, everything about the place was optimistic, there were pretty flowers,
gold flowers, and a Altar at one side.
The feminine figure lead Atalia, to the other end, it was dark, yet it was peaceful, it was
serene, there was a pond, and flowers that budded in the night, and an Altar at one end.
"I would like to introduce myself as the Moon Goddess, and I've heard your, prayer, you want
the best for Kin, right?" said the Moon Goddess, with a voice of pure calmness, letting you
know nothing bad would happen.
"Yes, that is true" said Atalia.
"Then it shall..." The Moon Goddess started.
On the other end, the bright, gold end, the masculine figure said sternly, but calmly "Hi
Kin, I am the Sun God, and I heard that you wanted nothing but happiness for Atalia right?" the
Sun God said curiously.
"Yes it is true" Kin said, with love.
"Then it shall..." The Sun God Started.
Then there was a mixture of day, and night, everything started to twist around them, they
both were in the same place looking around, they saw each other, they ran to each other, then
everything was whirling, and twirling around them, then all of a sudden it was day, and Kin
started to change, he started to morph, first he had a tail, then four legs, and then a snout, he
turned into a wolf, with red pelt, then it turned night, and Kin turned back into an elf.
Then Atalia started changing, she grew small, she started to sprout feathers, her arms
turned into wings, her body was getting fat, she got a beak, then really big blue eyes, with black
slits, then she got talons for her feet, when her transformation, was done, she was an Owl, with
Blue eyes, with black slits, blue feathers, and blue legs, with black talons.
Then it was sun and night, it was an solar eclipse, Atalia morphed back into an elf. Then
they heard a masculine and feminine voice at the same time said "You both love each other, but
we put a curse on you, you want the best for each other, to break the curse, you must kiss on the
day of the eclipse.." the God and Goddess started to say in unison.
"But an eclipse appears every five-hundred years, or when a plea is heard" Kin and
Atalia said in unison.
"I'm sorry, but your not to meant to love each other in this life time, in your other life
time, you shall reunite, your spirits shall guide you to each other" the Goddess and God said,
with serene grace, then they raised their hands, and clapped their hands together, then
everything started to rewind around them, then they were separated, time was still frozen
though, Kin was back at the creek, and Atalia was back in her balcony. Then time began to flow
back to normal, and the moon went back down. Kin morphed into the red wolf, Atalia was
looking outside from the balcony, sighing, knowing they can't be reunited. She turned away
starting to walk back downstairs.
Kin in his wolf form, ran to the back entrance of the castle and howled. Atalia startled,
and knowing who it was, ran to her balcony, and screamed "KIN, I LOVE YOU". Kin tried to
say it, but it was a howl, Atalia Looked down at him, smiling, knowing what he said.
Then Atalia's dad came in, and said "What's all the ruckus about?", she smiled back at
him, and said "Nothing, dad, nothing", then she skipped walk, to the outside, she went to the
back yard, and she extended a bridge, for Kin to run across, in his wolf form. Kin ran across,
and licked Atalia's face, she kissed him on the forehead with happiness. But then she said "Kin,
I love you, but in this lifetime, were obviously not meant to be together, but in your wolf form,
I will protect you, and at night, protect me, please", Kin barked as an agreement and then licked
her, she giggled, "Now, I will get the servant's to make you the most supreme kennel, and a
supreme owl cage, but Kin I love you" Atalia said, Kin howled I love you, as best as he could,
then she laughed and led him to her room, and he stayed there for the rest of his life. But on the
crack of dawn, and the crack of night, they can see each other for a millisecond, but they go
into their forms. Wolf or Owl.

slits, then she got talons for her feet, when her transformation, was done, she was an Owl, with
Blue eyes, with black slits, blue feathers, and blue legs, with black talons.
Then it was sun and night, it was an solar eclipse, Atalia morphed back into an elf. Then
they heard a masculine and feminine voice at the same time said "You both love each other, but
we put a curse on you, you want the best for each other, to break the curse, you must kiss on the
day of the eclipse.." the God and Goddess started to say in unison.
"But an eclipse appears every five-hundred years, or when a plea is heard" Kin and
Atalia said in unison.
"I'm sorry, but your not to meant to love each other in this life time, in your other life
time, you shall reunite, your spirits shall guide you to each other" the Goddess and God said,
with serene grace, then they raised their hands, and clapped their hands together, then
everything started to rewind around them, then they were separated, time was still frozen
though, Kin was back at the creek, and Atalia was back in her balcony. Then time began to flow
back to normal, and the moon went back down. Kin morphed into the red wolf, Atalia was
looking outside from the balcony, sighing, knowing they can't be reunited. She turned away
starting to walk back downstairs.
Kin in his wolf form, ran to the back entrance of the castle and howled. Atalia startled,
and knowing who it was, ran to her balcony, and screamed "KIN, I LOVE YOU". Kin tried to
say it, but it was a howl, Atalia Looked down at him, smiling, knowing what he said.
Then Atalia's dad came in, and said "What's all the ruckus about?", she smiled back at
him, and said "Nothing, dad, nothing", then she skipped walk, to the outside, she went to the
back yard, and she extended a bridge, for Kin to run across, in his wolf form. Kin ran across,
and licked Atalia's face, she kissed him on the forehead with happiness. But then she said "Kin,
I love you, but in this lifetime, were obviously not meant to be together, but in your wolf form,
I will protect you, and at night, protect me, please", Kin barked as an agreement and then licked
her, she giggled, "Now, I will get the servant's to make you the most supreme kennel, and a
supreme owl cage, but Kin I love you" Atalia said, Kin howled I love you, as best as he could,
then she laughed and led him to her room, and he stayed there for the rest of his life. But on the
crack of dawn, and the crack of night, they can see each other for a millisecond, but they go
into their forms. Wolf or Owl.
