The Legend of the Triforces Book 1: Memory Shards

Chapter 1

"Come on Kento!" Ryo groaned. "Stop hogging the cotton candy!"

"Hey, chill man." Kento snarled, taking another huge bite of the multicolored cloud of sugar. "I get my share first 'cause I bought it."

"But that doesn't mean you get all of it!" Cye protested. Kento grinned evilly, taking another huge bite of the fluff.

"Says who?"

"Oh cut it out." Sage grumped, running a hand through his blonde hair. "Kento, just share before we all start to pounce on you."

"Oh, Ryo! Look!" Yuli tugged on his sleeve. "I wanna ride that one!"

"All right, Yuli." Ryo chuckled as they weaved their way through the crowd to the line. "Hey, Kento, I changed my mind. You can have that sugar. You're just going to lose it again in a moment anyway."

"Hey, buddy. Yer' talkin' to the great Kento Rei Faun. I never loose my lunch!" He thumped his chest and bit down into the last small cloud of sugar. "Besides, I ain't weak-stomached."

**At the same time and place in the Senshi World...**

"Serena, you meatball head! Stop hoggin' it!" Rei reached for the big box of popcorn, flames in her eyes.

"Oh just take it, Rei." Lita chuckled.

Mina rubbed the wrinkles out of her shirt and bit her lip for a moment. "So, what's next?"

"Hm," Ami thought and looked around. "How about that?" She pointed into the distance at the large roller coaster that loomed over the trees."

"Hey, I'm up for it!" Mina cheered.

"Me too!" Rei said. "Let's go!"

Serena sighed slightly. "I hate heights..."

"Get over it, meatball head." Rei grumbled and grabbed her arm, dragging her along. Serena whined and groaned all the way to the line, only stopping once they reached the end, waiting for their time to load into the small trains.

"Hey, look at that!" Mina said, pointing to the other side of the covered hut that held the line, motioning to the darkening sky. "Where'd that storm come from?"

Rei watched the wild lightening from it with distaste, dazzled and worried. She was getting very bad vibes about this. It felt familiar, though, for some reason. As if...

"LOOK OUT!" Ami shouted and jumped away, barely able to escape the bolt of lightening that shattered the wood between them and the coaster cars.

"That was close..."

"That wasn't ordinary lightening..." Serena said quietly, surprised at the bright words that had just escaped her lips.

Rei's bottom lip trembled. "I don't like this, you guys..."

"Not at all." Lita growled. "This isn't like any lightening I've ever seen."

And coming from Lita, Sailor Jupiter, that was something to worry about.

"OH NO!" Mina screamed as the roof was completely torn off and the bolt of ravenous lightening struck them, engulfing them in a tingling electrical shot, their bodies vanishing from their own realm.

Ryo took in a sharp breath. "Heads up guys! I am most definitely sensing the Dynasty behind this."

"Again?" Sage groaned. "Man, I thought we'd already gotten rid of those guys!"

"Ryo...what is that?" Yuli pointed to the sky, mortified.

"I think we should call in our armors, Ryo, and-AHHH!" Cye fell back to the ground with a loud thud, uncertain of what had landed on him. "What the?"

Mina groaned, rubbing her sore bum as she stood. "What the heck just happened?"

Cye stared. "M-Mina?"

She whirled, her eyes wide in surprise and disbelief. "Cye? CYE!!!" She tackled him, holding him close. It had been so long since they had all been separated from each other. Millennia at the least.

"Ryo!" Rei shouted, her eyes clouding with new tears. Ryo hugged her, each couple finally reunited. Serena gaped at all of them.

"How did this happen?"

"Simple," Seth laughed from one of the rooftops. "The Nega Dynasty has been reborn, but under a new ruler!"

Sage cursed, low and nastily. "Curse you! Who are you?"

"I am Seth; Dark Warlord of Death." He let out a thunderous laugh. "I come bearing a warning, Ronins and Sailors. My Mistress will destroy you all in due time and the Nega Dynasty shall rule once again! But, until then, enjoy these small gifts! Soldiers! ATTACK!" Seth threw his arm out in the distance and laughed again, vanishing back to his mistress as the soldiers filtered into the theme park.

"Oh no!" Ryo moaned. "Let's go you guys! Armor of Wildfire! Tao-Jin!"

The others followed suit, calling in their armors, the sailors transforming as well.

A dark laugh filled the candle lit room as she watched from the crystal window the events taking place. "That's right my soldiers, destroy everything. Desecrate this world for my coronation."

"My lady, Raven." Seth bowed deeply, touching her hand. "It is done. Shall I take the others and seek them out?"

"No," Raven smiled darkly. "Let them play for a while. Give them a chance to regroup. I want to keep up this charade for a while."

"Yes milady." Seth bowed again, taking his place with the other Warlords once more.

"Unlike Beryl and Talpa, I shall rule the world without fault. The beats of war are steady and the drums of triumph are beginning to sound. Soon, my warlords, soon I shall have ultimate power. And with the Omega Triforce in my control, no one shall stop me." She turned to her four warlords, studying each of them. "Have you retrieved the information I needed, Cato?"

"Yes, mistress." Cato stepped forward, bowed at her feet, and handed her the sealed scroll.

"Ah, yes, finally." She gently pulled apart the wax seal and unrolled the scroll, reading to herself. "Perfect. This works to our advantage." She turned back to the crystal window, commanding in a dark and challenging voice, "Come to me, my soldiers. You've done enough today. Playtime is over. Return!"

"Playtime!?" Kento shouted. "Who is this chick!? This was just PLAYTIME!?"

"Cool it, Kento!" Ryo shouted. "We need to regroup elsewhere. Sage, Rowen, Cye! Let's go!"

"Yes, my darlings, keep on. Walk right into my trap."

"Is it time, mistress?"

"Yes, go and retrieve Venus and Torrent. But do it quietly." Raven turned to Darus, her eyes burning into his with the power of the sun. "Do not harm them. But you may do what is necessary to retrieve them."

"As you command, milady." Darus bowed and vanished.

"Everything's going according to plan." She murmured, the nega energy surgin' and pulsating through her veins. "According to plan."
