Shattered Dreams
Chapter Four: Lies and Truth

Taka was right. It had begun to rain. They now sat staring at the television seeing nothing. Thinking of what was happening and wondering if there was any way to fix it. Or if every thing was lost and there was no way to retrieve it. Shin though had begun to come to a conclusion. He thought it was time to say what that was.
"I guess I can admit this." Shin said interrupting Taka from his own thoughts.
"What's that?"
"I been running away. The problems I'm having aren't going away me being here." Shin said getting up from the couch. "I'm glad I met you, but… I have to go home." He added
"What are you talking about? Taka asked. Shin wasn't making any sense now.
"The time we need to be friends." Shin said stopping there.
"What?"
"By the time I get things figured out. I won't know you. We won't be able to be friends." Shin said. He always made sure he had time for friends. This time he knew he did have it. Then as he thought further. He began to think of his duties as a Trooper. It made things rather difficult. To suddenly drag some one into it wasn't good. Let alone try to have some one cope and understand it. He knew Taka had some thing troubling on his mind. So, he didn't even want to try.
"We can't be friends." He thought it'd be better this way in long run.
Taka thought a second about what he said. The words he said kept seeping to the top. ' He doesn't have time to be a friend. ' "What do you mean by you don't have the time?" He wanted an answer… or at least one that was reasonable. He didn't want him to leave.
"Good-bye, Taka." Shin said starting for the door. Only getting halfway there. Before, suddenly getting stopped by a sturdy grab on the arm. "I said, good-bye."
"So, you're walking out on me to. How dare you befriend me in a time like this and just walk out. The two most important people in my life… Broke my trust and then you came along. You were exactly what I needed. I may have only known you a few days. But, I don't know what to do if you walk out that door on me now. I wake up looking forward and hoping to see you again. What do you mean we don't have time to be friends? Why did you even become my friend if you didn't have the time? What are you dreading at home? Tell me… please?" Taka asked getting in the way of the door. He wasn't going to let him go with out an answer.
He stood in his way. Looking and waiting for an explanation. Any sign that might have a ray of hope that he wouldn't lose him now. For some reason… he felt like he'd die if Shin left him. For some reason the boy made him happy. With out words, with out any kind of actions. Just having him around… made him happy. He made things not seem so bad. He wasn't like any one he had ever met before. He was so kind and gentle. He was strong and understanding. He didn't push, but yet he still led the way. He was… shimmering and beautiful. He needed and wanted him.
Shin was rather shocked at what he told him. Making every thing even worse than before. So, now what was the real reason he was his friend? Because he liked him, or was it due to the fact he was the Samurai Trooper, Torrent of Trust? All he knew was that he didn't want to drag Taka into it. He also knew Taka couldn't possibly understand it if he told him he liked him. Then again if he played his cards right. He just might get thrown out of the place. Although, the last thing he wanted was to hurt him. Maybe in this situation though. It would be better to be bad.
"You really need an answer?" Shin asked hoping he didn't have to go through with it.
"Yes."
"Okay, the reason I sat down at the both that night with you. Was because I wanted fuck you. What I mean by not having the time. Is that you're taking too damn long to unbuckle your pants. I can get a better piece of ass at home. I was going to sleep with you and leave any way. You actually think I cared about you as a friend? You're so gullible." Shin said using his best cold glare he learned from Seiji. Even though his heart was cracking all over again. Then he thought about Touma's psychology analogies. That he would rant on about with Shuu… of all people. "You were a perfect target. A poor, good-looking man, going through a rough time. Who just needed a shoulder to cry on. You were all alone with no one else to turn to. So, I figured I'd give you some comfort of my own." He said as he gave him Ryo's smirk. Keeping it as he watched and waited for Taka's response. Who didn't have any kind of expression what so ever.
Taka stood there. Not really believing what he was hearing from him. That was until it started to sink in. ' So that's it… he was just using me. That's the only reason he was even around. So now… not only has Miaka and Tasuki broken my trust. Shin has to. Shin, the one I was ready to pour my heart out to. Shin Mouri. I'll remember your name. Well, then Mr. Mouri. You're not leaving here unscathed either.' Taka said letting lose his best swing. Sending him on to land on the carpet face down.
"You bastard! How dare you even come in this house!" Taka said getting ready continue his assault. "How dare you use me like that!" He said reaching down at his sweater.
Although as he was pulling him up for another hit. The door opened making him freeze all actions. Both of them looked to see who came home.
"What's going on?" It was Miaka. Clutching the chest of the blonde he had met earlier.
"Shin… " Seiji said not knowing what else to add.
"I couldn't find you any where." Taka said in astonishment. Still grasping Shin's sweater.
Seiji noticed Miaka had clung to him and stepped aside. Looking at Shin. He seen his mouth start to turn red. Anger swept through his veins, but he knew he shouldn't act on it. Although, what made him angrier was what he saw in his eyes. Shin was good at hiding emotional pain, but he had never mastered it. He clenched his fists to not act. He had to remember he was no longer his.
Shin knew very well why Seiji was there. He was looking for him. He knew why Taka hit him. He asked for it. He now knew why Miaka was at the house and what Taka was talking about. With the situation at hand, he also knew he should leave. It wasn't the right time for any thing. He looked back at Taka with a glare to finish it. Slapped away his hand on his sweater and started to walk away. Not making eye contact with any one. Although, being stopped again.
"I don't believe you. It's an act isn't it?" Taka said to him.
"You're pathetic." Shin said turning to look at him. "If you'd snap out of your own world. You'd see that. You are just a waste of my time." He said tiredly as he turned back around only to be facing Miaka.
"I don't know who you are. But you've obviously hurt my Taka." She said slapping him hard enough to leave another bruise.
"Miaka… let him be." Taka said from behind him.
"Shin… the others are waiting for you at the house." Seiji said trying to redirect attention. He could see he was already wondering why they would be waiting for him. "They… they need to speak with you about a certain matter."
"Really… " He said with out surprise. "What about?" He added making him say his fears.
"… We want you to stay, but… " Seiji hesitated.
"But, what, Seiji?"
"We didn't come to the conclusion lightly, Shin." He was to be the one to tell him any way.
Shin walked up to him and brushed away the gold locks over his eye. Looking at the sincerity he knew that. That they couldn't fight along side some one whom once ran out. After all, he was gone almost two years. Seiji took a chance and wiped away some blood from his lower lip.
"I understand." Shin said walking out the door.
Taka was now holding Miaka in his arms lightly. Staring at the moment that once was there by the door. He looked at the blonde who was still there. There was some thing going on. That those two were hiding and he knew some thing wasn't right.
"What decision?" Taka asked.
Seiji looked at him. "Last night… we decided that Shin." He couldn't just tell some one about it. "That Shin… could no longer be on our team." He said walking out to find Shin.
"What's going on Taka?" Miaka asked again.
