Vash and The Forty Thieves (Part 2)
All Inuyasha and Trigun disclaimers apply! Also, I don't own Ali Baba and The Forty Thieves! This chapter does contain a lemon! So if you are under 18 or if you are offended by them , please skip the Sess/Rin parts. Also some of the characters are occ and no guns in this chapter!
Inuyasha rushed to Rin's aid. "Sesshomaru what the hell is wrong with you!?" He asked, grabbing Rin out of the way. Sesshomaru growled at his brother as if to tell him "Get out of my way!" before jumping towards them and in the process knocking Rin to the floor. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha stood staring at each other, ready to kill. Kagome pulled Inuyasha's arm. "Inuyasha don't do it!" She said. Inuyasha replied "Kagome this has to stop!" "Inuyasha this isn't any of our business!" She replied with something else in her eyes. Inuyasha knew pretty well that his mate had come to like Rin, mainly because she was given the chance to. But, he also knew that she had something else in mind. Inuyasha nodded quietly. "I hope you know what you are doing Sesshomaru." He said to him. Sesshomaru glared but was thankful that Kagome was out of the way; after all he too had some kindness for mothers. He now had other things to worry about, like his current mate/wife.
He stood there holding his poison claw, staring down at her. Her eyes seemed fearless unlike those in the past. She sat on the cold marble of his chamber floor. He just stared at her. "What is wrong with him? Why is he staring at me?" She thought. "My lord?" She asked quietly. He looked away and asked "What magic have you bestowed upon me?" She replied "I have no magic my lord husband." He saw the look of need in her eyes. "Why did you agree to marry me?" He asked. Rin looked at him with rage and said "Do you enjoy seeing these young maidens give their lives up for you!?" His jaw tightened. She now had tears in her eyes and continued "Do you think when they choose to be your wife that they wish to die the next day? I agreed to give my life up for those who will be after me, if I could stop your sick enjoyment." If it were anyone else, then he would have shut them up but her voice was just as captivating when she told her tales. She let lose a small chuckle and shook her head gently. "I'm a fool. That's why I did this to myself." She whispered. He wondered what she spoke of but he couldn't bear to see her that way.
Walking slowly up to her, he gently picked her up by the arm. Rin wanted to stay where she was, but thought it wise to get up with his help. He took in the form of her small yet beautiful body standing in front of him, one of her slender arms draped over her breast and the other at her side, her hair covered her eyes but he could smell her silent tears. "What is wrong my lord husband? Why are you not finishing me off?" Rin asked. Sesshomaru started at her tear stained face then backed away from her. "Damn it!" He yelled. Rin found herself relived and worried all at once. "I never meant to anger you." She said. "You didn't intend on many things but they happened did they not?" He asked. Rin let out a small gasp, as her cheeks turned red. Sesshomaru thought that she never looked more beautiful. He wanted her more than anyone else. Rin found her knees getting weak. She thought that it couldn't be possible that she was falling in love with this selfish, arrogant person. Rin shook her head as she sat down on the bed. Sesshomaru watched her and stood in front of her. Sesshomaru watched her and wondered what was going through her head. He walked towards her and stood in front of her. His hands reached out and fingered a thick strand of hair that laid against her breast. "This must have come off when Inuyasha pulled her away from me." He thought. He heard her suck in her breath in a hiss. "You're very clever." He whispered. Rin's eyes widened at his words. "Is he going to kill me now?" She thought.
"You were quite brave and determined." He said as he lowered his head until his lips were just above hers. "but are you sure that in this little bravery something else didn't come unnoticed?" He asked. He felt her hands clutch at his upper arms, her fingers digging into the flesh beneath his hakama. "Please don't do this to me." She said. Her pupils dilating until her eyes looked black. "Do what?" He asked. Rin tried to look away but couldn't. "Kiss me Rin." He said. She didn't want to but against his chest, her breast shuddered with her uneven breaths. He heard her moan. Rin's hands slid up his shoulders. Sesshomaru's mouth was just above hers. She lifted her head and kissed him. Her lips were soft and sweet. All the desire he had been fighting to hold back, the time since she was here, surged through him. It was demanding and damned near unstoppable. He groaned, grinding the length of his hard wanting body against hers, covering her mouth with his. Her lips opened beneath his insistent pressure and he captured her face between his hands, holding her head steady as he deepened the kiss, sliding his tongue past her lips and teeth, filling her, stroking her, letting his tongue tell her mouth what his body wanted to do to hers.
She whimpered and arched against him, tore at the back of his hakama to jerk it free of his pants and slide her hands over the bare skin beneath it. Her touch seared like fire, igniting him almost to the breaking point. "Oh Rin." He said on a heavy expulsion of breath. Her head fell back when his mouth left hers and he dropped his kisses to the bare arch of her neck. Her skin was soft as petals, her scent as sweet as hyacinths and as arousing as musk. He rubbed his open lip against her wildly pulsing point. He ran his tongue down to where the swell of her breast showed at the open neck of her nightgown, which was coming loose. He swore impatiently and tore that the remaining cloth. Shoving the material aside, he pushed her down on the bed and marveled at her breast. He placed a trail of kisses from her mouth to her breast. He flicked his tongue over one of her nipples and watched it harden. He then lifted his gaze to her face as he suck the aroused tip into his mouth.
She jerked and gasped, her head came up so she could watch him. He bather her nipple with his hot tongue while gently kneading her other breast with his hand. Her neck arched, her eyes closed. She squired beneath him, thrusting her pelvis against him. He felt the convulsive tremors begin deep within her and felt them sweep her body. He had never known a woman to respond so quickly and easily to a man's touch. For a long moment, they stared at each other, each breathing heavily, each trying to come to terms with the unexpected intimacy of what of what had just happened between them. Still holding her gaze with his own, he slid back up her body and kissed her again. He then raided himself on his elbows and looked down at her.
"I want you." He said with a husky voice. Her eyes widened with her lips parted, but she didn't say anything. He tangled his fingers in her loose hair and stole another passionate kiss. "I want you Rin." He said to her again. "I know. I want you too." She said.
Rin stroked her hands over his chest, shoulders, and neck. She looked deep into his tortured golden eyes. "I love you." She whispered.
Silver moonlight played over the taut, aroused planes of his face. He brought his mouth down on hers and kissed her. It was a wild, hungry kiss, full of all the raw passion he had held back in the past. She curled her fingers around the back of his neck, tasting his hot sweetness. He groaned again and thrusted his tongue inside, stroking her and claiming her as his. She felt his hands slide down to pull her hips against his pelvis. She arched against him, achingly aware of the hard length of his erection pressing against her. Her entire body quivered with a gnawing, empty need. The need to be touched and to the be filled.
Rin pulled off Sesshomaru's shirt, to feel his skin against hers. She admired his tanned muscled chest. He stared at her with his eyes glowing. She felt the heat of his gaze on her. It sent a tingling warmth rippling through her body.
"You're so beautiful." Sesshomaru said to her. "So are you." Rin answered. He then peeled off her torn nightgown and she pulled off his pants. Once they were both nude, they kissed again. This kiss was hotter than before and was even more demanding. They came out of that kiss, breathing in gasps.
Once they caught their breath, Rin felt his lips on her neck, nibbling at her flesh and trailing kisses down her body. She let out a light moan. He pushed her back into the mattress. Rin then straddled him. His manhood was nestled intimately in the crevice between her legs. "This is going to hurt but it won't be for long." He told her. "It's ok." Rin replied.
She watched him ease himself into her. Sesshomaru slowly went in until he was buried to the hilt. Rin cried out in pain. "Shh… It's alright. I'll go slow." He told her. "She's so tight, hot and wet." He thought. His hands sought hers, he found them and lifted them above her head. Their fingers were enter twined, as he lowered his body to hers.
As promised, Sesshomaru began thrusting into Rin slowly and then found a good rhythm. She felt her love for him so much that it hurt. Rin closed her eyes and the pain washed away. It was replaced with pleasure. He thrusted into her harder and faster. Rin thought that she was in heaven. She found herself being taken higher and higher with each thrust.
Both of them were incoherent of the world around them. They were wild with the exquisite sensations of what one was doing to the other. They both climaxed about the same time and Rin felt his seed entering her. Sesshomaru howled and collapsed on top of her.
He rolled off of her and Rin rested in his arms. "I love you too, Rin." Sesshomaru said to her. Shortly afterwards they fell asleep in each other's arms.
In the morning, Rin was the first to wake up. She sat up and stretched. When she got ready to get out of bed, she felt her arm being pulled. Rin turned around and saw Sesshomaru holding on to it. "I'll let you live another day, if you come back to bed and finish your tale for me." He said to her. He gave her a look that Rin couldn't refuse. She came back to the bed and was back in Sesshomaru's arms. Once she was comfortable, Rin granted the second part of Sesshomaru's request.
"The other thirty nine robbers agreed that it would be advisable to give up every other enterprise and occupy themselves solely with this affair until they had succeeded."
"Legato resumed 'Then, the first thing to be done is that one of you shall go to the city, unarmed and dressed as a traveler and find out if the man we killed is being talked about. Then he will find out who this man is and where he lives. To prevent him from lying to us, I insist that the one that agrees to do this, shall consent to die, if he fails."
"Shortly after Legato was finished speaking, one of the robbers stepped forward. He said 'I agree to those terms. If I fail at least I have displayed both courage and readiness in my service to the troop.'"
"Amid the accommodations of Legato and his companions, the robber disguised himself very well. He set off at night and entered the city at dawn. He went towards the marketplace and saw only one shop open. It was the shop of the cobbler."
"The cobbler was seated on his stool ready to begin work. The robber went up to him, wished him a good morning and said 'You get up very early to do your work. Doesn't the dull light bother you?'"
" 'Not as much as you think. The other day around this time, I saw well enough to stitch up a dead body in a place that was no lighter.' The cobbler answered."
"The robber concealed his joy at this piece of news. In pretend amazement he cried 'Stitched up a dead body! You must mean a shroud, how else can you stitch a dead body!?'"
" 'I speak the truth and that's all I will say because it's a secret. I also went to it blindfolded so I couldn't even show you.' The cobbler replied."
"The robber drew out a gold coin and said 'I've heard that a blind man remembers his road. You don't have to tell me anything. If I blindfold you, will you try to show me the house where you stitched up the body."
"Tempted by the gold coin the cobbler was persuaded to make an attempt. He showed the robber where he started. The robber then placed a handkerchief over his eyes and walked beside him through the streets, partly guiding and partly being led until the cobbler stopped. 'It was here.' He said to the robber. They had stopped exactly opposite the house that had once belonged to Wolfwood and where Vash now lived."
"The robber marked the door with a piece of chalk that he had brought for the purpose. He removed the handkerchief from the cobbler's eyes and left him to his own devices, then returned quickly to the cave where his comrades were waiting for him."
"Shortly after the robber and cobbler left, Meryl happened to be going out on an errand and when she came back she noticed the mark on the door. 'What's this mark doing on the door? Either some trick is going to be played or there is some evil brewing for Vash.' She thought. Taking a piece of chalk, Meryl put a similar mark on six doors lying right to left. As soon as she was done, her mind was satisfied and said nothing."
"Later that night, the robbers entered the city, They entered in a way that wouldn't be suspicious. The robber that acted as a spy and Legato made their way alone to the street where the marked door was to be found."
"Just as they expected, they saw a marked door. 'That's it!' The robber said. But as they continued walking, they came upon one marked door after another. All the marks were alike and the robber swore that he made only one. He couldn't tell which one it was."
"Legato was very annoyed but there was nothing to do except return to the forest, where the robber was killed for his failure."
"In spite of this, a second robber volunteered to return and find the right house. He returned to the city and bribed the cobbler, with more gold, bound his eyes and again the cobbler led him to Vash's house. The second robber marked the door with red chalk."
"As on the preceding day, shortly after Meryl returned, the red mark didn't escape her notice. She immediately made a similar mark on all the neighboring doors."
"When he returned to his comrades in the forest, the second robber boasted on how he distinguished Vash's house from the others. He offered to lead Legato without fail. The result was still the same. A whole row of front doors were marked with red chalk. Legato was again irritated and the second robber lost his life."
"Legato deiced to take matters into his own hands. He returned to the city and with the assistance of the cobbler, found Vash's house. Since he didn't trust chalk marks, he imprinted the place in his memory."
"He returned to the forest and when he reached the cave, he said 'I now know the house of the man who is the experience our revenge and I have planned an excellent way of dealing with him.'"
"He ordered them to divide into small groups, which were to go to neighboring cities and villages and buy nineteen mules and thirty eight jars for carrying oil. One jar must be full and the others empty."
"The task was completed in two days. Each man entered each jar thoroughly armed. Legato closed the jars so that they appeared to be full of oil and so that the men could breathe. To complete the deception, he rubbed the outside of each jar with oil from the full one."
"Legato disguised himself as an oil merchant. He took the mules laden with the robbers to Kobe. The whole procession arrived about an hour after sunset."
"Legato went straight to Vash's house. He planned to knock on the door and request shelter for the night for himself and his mules. He was spared knocking, when he saw Vash outside the door, enjoying the night air. In a disguised voice he said to Vash 'I've brought my oil from a great distance to sell tomorrow in the market. Since this is a late hour and I'm a stranger, I was wondering if I may be permitted to let my mules be stabled here for the night.'"
"Vash thought that he had heard that voice before but he didn't recognize it. 'You may leave your mules here for the night. Once your mules have been unloaded and stabled, I invite you to say in the house as my guest.' He replied."
"When they were about to retire, Vash went to the kitchen to speak to Meryl. Legato on the pretext of going to look after his mules, slipped out of the yard to where the oil jars were standing in a line. Going from jar to jar, he whispered 'When you hear a handful of pebbles fall from the window of the room that I'm staying in, cut your way out of the jar and be ready.' He then returned to the house, where Meryl came with a light and conducted him to his chamber."
"Before going to bed, Vash said to Meryl 'Tomorrow at dawn, I will be out on an errand. When I return, I would like some good broth prepared.' After leading the guest to his room, Meryl went back to the kitchen and prepared the broth. While she was skimming it, the lamp went out. She searched for some more oil and found that there was none left in the house. Knowing that there was no shop open at this late hour, Meryl went out with the oil can to borrow some oil from the guest."
"When she approached the jar that was nearest to the house, Meryl was taken by surprise when it spoke. It asked 'Is it time yet?'"
"Meryl knew that an oil jar that spoke was just as suspicious as a chalk mark on a door. Instantly she realized what danger Vash was in. She also knew that a talking jar required an answer, she quickly replied 'Not yet but soon.' And she said this to all thirty seven jars, until she came to the one full of oil."
"The situation had become very clear to her. Aware of the source from which Vash had acquired his wealth, Meryl guessed that in giving shelter to the oil merchant, Vash has actually allowed in his house, the robbers and their leader. She knew that Vash didn't approve of killing but she didn't know any other way to protect Vash and his fortune. After filling the oil can she returned to the kitchen. There she lit the lamp and then took a large kettle. Going back out to the jar that contained oil, she filled the kettle and carried it back to the kitchen. It was put under a great fire of wood and brought to a boil. She went back into the yard and poured into each jar a sufficient amount of the boiling oil to scald each man to death."
"She then returned to the kitchen, made Vash's broth, put out the fire, blew out the lamp and sat by the window to watch."
"Legato woke up from the short sleep he allowed himself. Finding that the whole house was silent, he rose quietly and opened the window. He threw a handful of pebbles agreed on as the signal. But the oil jars remained silent. He threw them a couple more times and still no sound came from the jars. Wondering if his men had abandoned him, he went to the yard. As he approached the first jar, he smelled burning hot oil and look inside to see the dead body of his comrade inside. He found the same thing in the other thirty six jars. The manner of his comrades' deaths was realized when he came to the jar that contained oil. To avoid any danger, Legato left the city and returned to the forest."
"When Meryl was assured of his final departure, she smirked. She then went to bed."
"In the morning Vash went out on his errand. When her returned, he was surprised to find that the merchant was gone and the he left his mules and oil jars behind. He asked Meryl for the reason."
" 'You will see why if you look in the first jar you come to.' She said."
"Vash did so and was startled when he saw a man. 'Don't worry. He's dead and harmless, so are all the others if you wish to look any further. Vash saw the same sight as he look in one jar after another. When he came to the last jar, which was empty, he was for a moment too stunned to speak. Then he turned to Meryl with eyes of inquiry and asked 'Do you know what has become of the merchant?'"
" 'To answer your question, I'll have to tell you the whole story. You'll hear it better after you have drunk your both.' She replied."
"But Vash's curiosity was too great. He wouldn't be kept waiting. So without delay, Meryl told him everything that she knew. Vash was still unhappy with her killing the thirty seven men but forgave her. He had also realized that he owed Meryl for saving his life and protecting his property. He was full of gratitude. 'For your devotion and bravery, I give you your freedom.' He said to her."
"These words had filled Meryl's heart with delight. She had no intention of leaving such a kind man, even though she was sure the danger had passed. She and Vash then disposed of the bodies in a way that no one would notice. Before she left Vash to do her chores, she said 'Even though the danger has passed, be on your guard. The leader is still alive and is a formidable foe. I believe he will come back to avenge these dead men's deaths."
"Legato had entered the cave. He was overcome by it's gloom and loneliness. Right away he figured out a plan to avenge his comrades' deaths."
"The next day he disguised himself again. Once he was in Kobe, he rested at an inn. He had asked the host if anything interesting had happened in the city. The host said that there was nothing worth talking about. Legato then asked if there was a shop for rent. The host had told him of one that was close to Vash's house. It wasn't too long before he had set it up with items from the cave."
"The shop had belonged to Vash. He had offered Legato shelter till he could find him a place to live. 'When you've closed the shop come to my home and Meryl will have supper prepared for you.' He said to Legato."
"Accordingly after he closed the shop, Legato went to Vash's home. Vash let him in and led him to the table where the food stood prepared."
"Meryl came in and served supper. As she was serving the dishes she had set her eyes on Legato. Despite his disguise, she quickly recognized him. She observed his movements and saw that he had a dagger concealed beneath his robe."
"She knew that Vash was in great danger again. Meryl also knew when Legato would most likely kill him when the food was taken away and after they had drunk some sake. Going away quickly, she dressed herself as a dancer. She had come back in the room and dance very sensually for Vash and Legato. (Rin had gotten out of the bed and danced for Sesshomaru. He was somewhat aroused by this.) Towards the end of the dance, she grabbed a sword, that she had brought in the room, held it in her hand and danced with it very skillfully. When the dance was over, Meryl still had the sword in her hand. She went to Vash to claim her fee. He gave her a gold coin. Just as Legato went in his purse, Meryl took the sword and struck the sword deep in his heart."
"After seeing his guest drop dead, Vash cried out in horror 'Meryl! How could you kill him!?'"
" 'I killed the man to save your life.' She replied. Meryl then tore off Legato's disguise and show the dagger that was concealed below and the face that Vash now recognized for the first time."
"Vash's gratitude to Meryl for saving his life again knew no bounds. He took her in his arms and said 'The time has come for me to fulfill my debt and how better can I do it than by making you my wife. All I ask is that you never take another life again. ' Since she truly loved Vash she accepted his proposal and they were married the next day. Their union was a happy and productive one."
"The robber's cave remained in Vash's secret possession. He used his good fortune with equity and moderation. He rose to high office in Kobe and was honored by those who knew him."
After Rin finished her tale she said to Sesshomaru "My lord husband, I have finished my last tale. You are now free to do with me as you wish."
Sesshomaru sat up and said to her "Last night I said that I love you and I meant it. I want you to be my wife and mate for the rest of my life. Besides, I can't kill the maiden that is carrying my child."
Rin cried tears of happiness. "I hope that we have a son." She said to him with a smile. Rin then got back in the bed and she and Sesshomaru picked up where they were last night.
Nine months later, Rin did give birth to healthy baby boy. He had his mother's hair and eyes, looked like his father and had Inuyasha's ears. Everyone was overjoyed at the news of his birth. Inuyasha and Kagome had come in the room to see her and the baby. Inuyasha was holding his daughter. Kagome held the boy in her arms and said "Rin, you and Sesshomaru have a beautiful son. He'll be a good playmate for my daughter when they are older."
"So what are you going to call him?" Inuyasha asked his brother. "Rin wanted to call him Kou and I thought that I would grant her wish." He answered. He and Rin looked ahead to their future together and their new son's.
