Sano: Me???

Ame: You know it. *winks*

Sano: Ugh. *makes face*

Ame: What was that?!? Oh you'll pay it's the cupboard for you!

Sano: What the hell are you talking about missy, cupboard?

Ame: Oh you'll learn, that you will.

Sano: Hey your not K- *Sano can no longer talk because Ame has rendered him unconscious and put him under her kitchen sink. Not a place you'd want to be!*

A/N, from Ame to the audience this time: Hey guys, I hope you like this one. I don't think I've ever seen the pairing I'm considering. I want to keep it under wraps but I hope you're not disappointed. If you have any suggestions leave a review and let me know. I really need some Japanese for boys, if you know any that would be a big help. Also a pairing for Megumi and Karou would be helpful. I just need to know what the people want. *blows kisses at no one in particular…computer screen maybe?...and waves like Ms. Universe*

Narrator:

The adventures have seemed to come to a pause and our favorite people are back at the dojo living their crazy chaotic lives once more. Today Karou went shopping. In the morning she looked for Kenshin to say goodbye, but nobody had seen him.

Karou:

Hmm, it's such a nice day out today! I wonder if Kenshin will want to go on a walk with me. *blushes*... I was actually hoping he'd come to the market to shop with me, but I haven't seen him all day. Megumi better have not taken him, grrr! *Actually starts to growl and has huge vein bulging out of her forehead* Damn I'll get her! *rolls up sleeves*

A/N, from A to all: That's a pretty picture isn't it?

Well since I just got to the dojo I might as well check for Kenshin…just in case. Besides I don't want Kenshin to think that I jumped to a conclusion. Huh, somethings moving towards the shrine in back. I'll go investigate, it's probably Sanosuke trying to sneak food. I'll teach him!

Narrator:

Karou runs up from behind the trees and hits the culprit in the back of the head. She found out only moments later that it wasn't Sano but was instead Kenshin.

"Oh my gosh! Kenshin I'm sooo sorry! Are you ok? I thought you were Sano, you see…" Kenshin abruptly cut Karou off by putting up his hands. She would have stopped even if he hadn't done so because she noticed the pain behind his eyes. His shirt was wet and his eyes were red.

"Kenshin! You've been crying. What's wrong? Did Sano eat the lunch you made again? Because if he did I can teach him a lesson…Or was it Yahi-" Kenshin cut Karou off once again, this time by grabbing her arm. She turned a shade of red and immediately shut up. That's when Kenshin began to speak.

Kenshin:

Miss Karou has always been so hospitable to me,that she has. Her kindness and generosity just seem to emanate from her soul. This has caused me to fall in love with her, but why can't I tell her? I just can't say the words outloud. I can't even tell her how much I care. It's not that I don't long to, it's just that I can not. Tomoe gave her life for me and I must honor her soul by not marrying another woman. I shouldn't even have been looking at Karou all this time! By doing so I've been dishonoring Tomoe's soul, that I have.

"Miss Karou, I suppose I should tell you why I'm upset. I just reminiscing on my times in Kyoto, that I was."

Karou:

"W-wait so you were thinking about Tomoe again weren't you!?! Kenshin why can't you just let her go! I mean you have me now…*they both stop abruptly and look at each other*…well you see the thing is Kenshin. I think I-I-I'm…that is I think that I've fallen in love with you."* she blushes* There now I've gone and done it! I can't believe I told him. Does he have any feelings for me? Will we get married? What am I thinking?!? OH NO! Why isn't he responding? *gets teary eyed*

"Ken-shin"

Kenshin:

Oh no, I wasn't expecting this. Does Miss Karou even know how long I've wanted to hear those words? Everyday I think of her and every night I dream of her. Of her beauty, her kindess, her *inward sigh* smile…But what do I say to her? I just want to hold her and make her mine, but I can't. Not until Tomoe allows it. I'll have to just play the clueless wanderer until then.

"Miss Karou, I know not of what you speak. I was just crying, I guess I flustered you, that I did. I'm very sorry."*bows*

Narrator:

Karou looks at him at first surprised, and then suddenly disgusted. She walks up to him picks hi up off his knees and slaps his face. "BAKA!" she screams as tears run down her face. Karou then proceeds to flee from the dojo and right into the arms of Miss Tae who happened to be passing by. Miss Tae comforst Karou and invites her to spend the night with her and Subame. Karou half-heartedly agrees. Miss Tae supports her weight and takes her back to the room she shares with Subame over the beef pot restaurant.

After putting Karou to sleep in the futon upstairs, Miss Tae and Subame plot to help her in the restaurant below…

Miss Tae:

"Now Subame, you listen here, Miss Karou needs some cheerin' up and we're the ones to do it. That Kenshin is too old for her anyway!"

Subame:

"But Miss Tae, I thought they were in love! Besides Kenshin is only 28 and Karou has already turned 17!"

Miss Tae:

"Subame, darlin' people nowadays don't work like that anymore. I heard that in western culture a man must be the same age as the woman or at least 3 years apart."

Subame:

"Miss Tae, I just don't know what we can do to help. Miss Karou won't be able to find another man like Kenshin, at least not in her current state. *As if on cue Karou's crying from above gets louder.*

Miss Tae:

"It's simple, we'll just have to find that man for her. Now let's see…Valentine's Day is coming up in a few weeks. She'll need a new one before then. (A/N, from A to all: She's already gotten so into the project that men have gone from being people to being items, trophies if you will. There's Miss Tae for you!) We'll buy him an engagement ring for her now…"

Subame:

"Um, Miss Tae…I don't mean to be rude. But, uh, didn't that not work out so well last time? That devastated Karou as well."

Miss Tae:

"Don't ya' worry Subame! That's only because it was Kenshin…this time we'll catch her a better one! We can train him and everything. In fact we can have classes, a school! Maybe even hold auditions *Her eyes start to twinkle as she gets caught up…Subame's mouth drops open in what could only be described as awe for lack of a batter word.* That's it! We'll set up a calendar and get men to court her every few days. The ones she doesn't like we can throw out and the ones she takes a likin' to we keep. Then we can hold contests, maybe, hmmm some sort of show of character in order to discover who the winner is. Then we get him to marry our Karou! *out of breath*…Oh Subame it's perfect."

Subame:

*crickets*

Miss Tae:

"We'll have to start right away…in fact I have the perfect guy. Tonight we interview…

A/N, from Ame to all: And so the first chapter comes to a whopping conclusion. Did I leave you hanging? So…how should the lucky number one guy be? Any ideas?? Well I think that was probably the longest chapter I've ever written…*hangs head in shame*…

Sano: It's ok Ame I think you're amazing!

Ame: Really Sano?? Wow, it's so great that you love me!

Sano: HEY! Don't push it…the only reason I say things like this is because otherwise you threaten to take away my….oh no….I'm sorry please no I'll do anything.!

Ame: Ah so my little Sano is a hentai.

Sano: *gulp*

Ame: Come here! *whip cracks as Sano whimpers and scoots over to Ame* Man do I love this power! Sano my love, you are all mine!

Sano: Fine you win, but can I make a request for next chapter??

Ame:…Yes….but careful what you wish for!

Sano: I want some romantic interest for me!

Ame: You're looking at her. *licks lips*

Sano: *makes face* Um preferably someone in the story…

Ame: Well if your gonna be annoying I can arrange a date with Misao for you!

Sano: WEASEL GIRL??

Ame: Yeah that's what I thought, now either you get back in the cupboard or I rip up your magazines! *Sano crys, curls up into a little ball, and squeezes into his cupboard.* See now everyone will know that I'm boss!....Kenshin you do anything to help him and you get a worse punishment.

Kenshin: I won't you don't have to worry Ms. Ame, that you don't! *Kenshin hides behind Karou.*

Karou: If only I had known what a wuss he was in the face of women earlier…
