"Kenshin, could you please get the laundry?" Kaoru asked her secret love. But Kaoru knew she and Kenshin would never be together. For Kaoru was getting married in 3 weeks. It was by her choice. She couldn't say no and she wouldn't. Before her mother died she told her that the first guy who asked her for marriage is her soul mate by fate and by hope. No one can do anything about that and she wasn't going to break her promise.
"Okay Miss Kaoru." Kenshin replied. He was trying his hardest to keep up his spirits for Kaoru's upcoming marriage. Ever since Tomoe, he has never loved one like Kaoru. No, she couldn't replace Tomoe but she could fill up the hole in his heart that had been made.
Everyone on the outside could see Kenshin and Kaoru's passion for each other. The look they got in their eyes every time they saw each other. It was deep and true love.
Kaoru was in the back trying to get dressing fixed for her marriage. Tye was helping her with her dress and the Akabeko was helping with the food. Kenshin was still not sure if he was going or not. Kaoru's fiancé was very suspicious looking to him. He looked so familiar but he could not put name to face. He has been the only person who could stump Kenshin like this.
"Kenshin, please don't bring your sword to my wedding." Kaoru told him in her playful voice. "I don't want him to get the feeling you want to kill him." She giggled.
