Auther's note: I'm back at charge with a new one shot. I've been looking through the net lately, and all the new RK fanfictions seems to only be A.Us. Is it me or the interest in the original time setting has gone low? Has all of us already explored every possibility of interactions between Kaoru and Kenshin in the first few years of the Meiji era Surely there is more to it, more interaction, more events This lead me to some thinking and I came up with an idea that, to my point of view and judging by reading, has yet to be explored. I'm not giving it up right away. Let us take this as some sort of prelude or prequel or the beginning of something long ago The actual story that will unroll out of this one will have it's first chapter out in a few months. I have to at least get one more chapter of Honeysuckles and Moonlight Shreds out before it. Anyway. I hope you will enjoy this little piece of twisted work The fallowing story is meant for an adult public reader. Anybody under 17 (or 18... I really don't get that 17 thing) should pass their way. I can not be hold responsible for any child reading this material for I have no control over the net, the surfers and the universe in general. If you are easily offended (and I mean really, really easily offended) please pass your way. You have been dully warned.I have now ownership over Rurouni Kenshin whatsoever. I am merely barrowing the characters and am in no way exerting benefit out of this piece of fiction. thus... our story begins.

Dokusha no Kizu By Evil Karyta

The morning has spread bright and warm, uneventful, tranquil and soft under the golden rays of a gentle sun. Spring was slowly giving away into summer; cherry trees had long since been striped of their elegant but ephemeral finery of dainty pink flowers. The showers had replenished the soil, fertile again and plants and their seasonal flowers were blooming around the tranquil dojo. A tranquility short lived it seemed as a loud resounding shriek sailed the air as would a raiding arsenal.
Sitting on the porch of the house, his back to a wooden post, gentle violet eyes stealing a glance in the general direction of the dojo where, obviously, the cry had emerge, Kenshin smiled softly. Everything about this place, his new life, was wonderful; even his wife's lack of self-control and Yahiko's devilish pleasure to tug just at the right nerve was amazing. He had to admit though, Kaoru had forge herself some 'good' defenses during the last two year, taking the boy much more time to get her out of her skin. Unfortunately, it was still not enough, and Yahiko would eventually find the spot and the pressure would unleash in a thundering explosion that left none of them un-scattered.
"YAHIKO-CHAN."
The swordsman chuckled softly as he lazily turned the time worn yellow page of the book spread over his laps. She had been the one to suggest this to him. His caring little wife had notice how restless he had become. Mostly because of the house being much cleaner than it used to be, seeing as Kenshin threw himself into his given tasks longer than necessary, and this regardless of doing most of Kaoru's chores as well. She admitted, although only once, to have thought it a nice and caring action, but after a month of it she got tired and demanded to get the few house chores she had kept for herself, claiming to feel guilty seeing him do everything. However, the red head suspected her starting to feel quite bored, having nothing more to do than just watch him mop all over and teach kendo. The solution was to get him a new hobby, besides tiding things up, which was starting to drive her mad anyway.
Many attempts were made to find the one thing that would hold his interest. So many suggestions from just as many people. Tae had suggested he start drawing, she was sure that a swordsman as skilled as he was, and with such a flexible wrist, should have natural talent into the visual arts. How wrong she could be! Every attempts had been a fiasco, he could not draw a line without making it look like some old man suffering Parkinson had hold the brush. No, Himura Kenshin might be incomparable when it came to the welding of a katana, but when it came to brushes, he was a dexterous as a baby taking their first steps.
Seeing the poor man almost desperate, Tsubame had shyly suggested sewing. His reaction to it had been rurouni -like, to say the least. A sweet smile plastered to his face, but inside he was eager to shout: 'Please, please, please, not that, not that!' Cleaning, cooking and laundry were already big enough an attaint to his 'virility', to sew would have been the last blow. Kaoru's muffled laughter and Yahiko's sniggers clearly spoke of their point of view in the matter and soon had for effect to pull the poor girl into a tearful litany of guilt and sorrow. The result? Four people cajoling one timid Tsubame in attempt to rebuild the crumbling pieces of what had been her fragile assurance.
Yahiko, true to himself, had suggested more training earning himself a nice bump behind his spiked head from Kaoru's mystical boken.
"What!?" Had been the teenager's insulted quarry.
"Don't you realize that it's exactly what he is trying to keep himself from? Is there any kind of brain in this thick skull of yours?" And as to prove her point she had smacked him several other times.
Later that day she came to him as he eyed the broom with envy. Her soft giggle had startled him and he turned around to see Kaoru with an amused glitter in her blue eyes. Curious, he stared her in silence, eyebrow quirked as he tried to understand the reason of her momentary hilarity.
"Oro?" The all purpose query of confusion or commonly known as the 'Safe Way out of Nearly Everything' expression slipped out of his mouth. He did not even need to think of it anymore, it came on it's own accord when the situation asked for it, though this time, he was genuinely puzzled.
She laughed some more and then walked to him, giving the retired wanderer a light brush of her lips over his right cheekbone, at the corner of his eye. A small mark of affection, a code between the two of them that spoke silently from within. Each time, the silken strands of her midnight black hair would brush his neck and ear, sending delightful tingles down his spine.
"Thinking of stealing my chores again?" had teased Kaoru, humor in her sparkling pools of blue.
"No... no this unworthy one would never dare such deed, that he would not." Kenshin smiled innocently reaching out a hand to brush aside a stray strand of hair that had subtly worked its way into the corner of her mouth.
The gentle gesture had for consequences to somehow darken the healthy color he loved so much and, with a light stroke of his lips where once there was hair, managed to spread the lovely color to the rest of her face.
"Honestly, Kenshin, it's frightening to see you go about the dojo scrubbing and cleaning at your rate. Soon you won't be known as the Hittokiri Battousai but as the 'Stain Killer'." There was humor in her voice, but also a tinge of worry that, if he had missed in her voice, was clear in her eyes. "I understand you wish to restrain from the sword as much as possible, but I don't think it is such a good idea when it makes you this miserable."
The man's eyes had softened at the sound of his wife's concern. "There is no need for you to worry so much over so little. Your suggestion for a hobby was a good one, we just need to find one that suites me." He gave her an encouraging smile and a gentle squeeze to her shoulder where his hand had glide.
She nodded. "Yes, of course. That's why I had an idea." The young woman fidgeted a few moments, shifting her weight from one foot to the other, worrying her lip for a split second, searching for the right words. "I um I recall you referring to books stored in your room back then." Kaoru was trying to keep her words as evasive as possible, aware of the painful memories she could steer.
Kenshin frowned, curiosity and adorable confusion clear on his face. "I never had time to read back then, those books.. they were"
The gentle caress of a hand spread warmth through him, chasing away the horrid memories as soon as they were about to surface, his violet eyes gazed into her calm and smiling eyes. "I wanted to give you a chance to do something new."
He stared at her, his face displaying the look that had defined surprised confusion, eye wide, eyebrow arched and head slightly inclining to the left as he observed the young kendo assistant master pleasantly smiling face. "Eh?"
She beamed at him reaching a hand inside her kimono's voluminous sleeve, her eyes alit with a glorious blaze of victory. "Here, you can start on this and discover all you missed." She handed her husband an old worn out book, the leather cover rough under his fingertips as he examined it with a childlike curiosity and wonder.
She giggled. "Just give it a try."
Reading The thought never occurred to him that he could be. Kenshin had never felt the need to, getting lost in some fantasy imagined by someone else was something that simply never crossed his mind. It only took Kaoru to come up with a solution this simple. Now sitting on his favorite spot, the soft wind caressing his warm skin and the beginning of summer humming all around him, the ex-hittokiri realized that nothing was as relaxing as letting his eyes roam over the delicately imprinted characters and simply let a story flow through his mind in colorful flashes of images and sensations. For a while, he would forget most everything and simply let his soul wonder and get transport toward horizons he never even dreamed of visiting. Truthfully, Kenshin never though reading could be such a captivating and even addictive hobby.
Within the old pages where the lives of those who were, the minds of those who thought, the soul of those who dreamt. Preying almost unashamedly into the hearts of the writers, the red head would explore different situation, different reactions and different emotions. He was learning a new way of life, of thinking of simply being through many of the overages that Kaoru's family had collected over the years. Each page, Kenshin would read with an eager that surprised his wife. She hadn't expected him to be such a craving reader, devouring mostly anything that he would come upon. The fact made her smiled, and she would spend many nights sitting in nearly religious silence beside him, her own nose sniffing the old books fragranced of humidity and earth as her eyes followed characters and words in a frenzy.
With a soft chortled, feeling at ease, Kenshin returned to his reading, leaving behind the yells and complaints of both student and teacher in the dojo nearby. As he was absorbed into the story that slowly unfolded like magic between the leather coverage of the book, the sounds, his surounding, everything dissapeared. He could not think of anything that could give him such ease beside maybe his wife. The wind seemed to blow in rythem with time, the clouds gliding gracefully upon the heavens, sweaping away the sun from time to time. Everything was peaceful, calm and at rest. A blissfull ease took over his being and he let himself wander through imaginary tales of long ago. Until...
" I see you are enjoying yourself."
Startled, Kenshin took a sharp intake of breath, his hand, at the moment being holding the page he was ready to turn, speeded foward as the sharp edge of the thin piece of paper slid into his skin. The red-head hissed in pain, one eye closed as he looked up to find his wife. She was no longer wearing her practice outfit but instead wearing a soft lavender kimono embrodied of delicate parterns of flourishing cherry tree branches. Her dark hair were still damp from her earlier bathing and the young woman was in the prossess of tieing the long silken strands together. The retired swordsman looked at her with dazed eyes, surprised by her sudden apparition and the fact that he had not felt her coming behind him.
"K... Kaoru... how long.. when.. .um.." stuttred Kenshin still rather confused.
"Kenshin? What's wrong?" she knelt next to him, consern in her bright blue eyes.
"I... I didn't know you were there..." he explained somewhat sheepishly.
"You didn't?" There was a hint of laughter in her soft voice. "I'm sorry Kenshin, I didn't know you were so absorbed into the story. I didn't want to startle you." She said giggling at the same time, her laughter twinkling gently to his ears.
"I'm fine, don't worry Kaoru..." he assured her, smiling.
Resuming his previous task, Kenshin took hold of the page again and then hissed in slight pain. Mostly out of instinct, he lift his hand, the injured finger of his left hand about to go into his opened mouth when a soft, carefull hand stoped him mid way. He blinked and look up to see his wife's conserned gaze and gentle fingers pressing around the small, bleeding cut. Her head still looking down, she stole a glance at her husband and with a side way smile she 'tsked' at him like she would a child.
"Paper cut..." he said, his voice a tone lower than usual, near a whisper.
"Now, now Kenshin. Don't you know that paper can cut, you should be more careful." Teased the young woman.
"Aah.. yes. I will be more reguarding of my actions next time, that I will." Humor was strong in his words.
She lift her head and smiled at him, looked down again, examinating the wound when, out of impulse, she kissed the almost dry cut. Kenshin froze, simply stareing at her in silent wonder. The silkiness of her lips sent shiver down his spine along with the sting of the wound the open flesh was touched ever so gently. Her eyes middly closed, he felt the smile as her mouth gently kissed the injury away.
"There," she whispered, "pain's all gone now..."
The warm breeze carressed both of them, making the plades of healthy green grass dance and wave, blowing a few trends of silken ebony and soft fire. A soft intake of breath coming from her husband, a hushed sigh from his wife and the singsong of birds chirping nearby, high and safe up the trees, happy, free and carefree.
"Ho... How was prictice..." his voice was hushed and low, his eyes glued to Kaoru's lovely tending.
"Yahiko's just as stuborn as he has always been. Clames to be a man but give him a few extra swings and he whines like a new born." She chuckled, her warm breath tickling his finger, the wound stinging in a pleasurable way instead of pain, Kenshin was mezmerized. "Still, he is getting better everyday, soon he won't need any lessons at all..."
He was no longer listening to her, intranced by the warm flesh of her carefull lips and the wonderfull feel of her breath, he could only observe, mute and parelized in a plesent way. In a leasure, almost lazy way, her mouth opened slightly, her lips circleling his wounded finger and inisiating a gentle, wonderfull suctions that brought him breathless. Her velvety tongue laved, licked at the severed skin mixing in a unbelievable way pleasure and pain, clouding his mind. Kenshin sighed, a small demonstration of enjoyment to her, purple eyes cloudy, gazing in a haze at his one and only.
"Ka... Kaoru... umm..." mind was in a far away place, thought wre fleeting and hard to grasp. "Kaoru.. you should..."
She looked up, letting go of his finger long enough to hush her inquirity. "Should what Kenshin?"
He couldn't remember, the soft menistration his wife was doing to him, the blissfull feel of her lips on his finger, the pleasure of her touch, it was enough to cloud his mind and throw away any coherent thoughts. All he knew was that she was slowly but surely building up a fire within him, passion swealling and soon, he would no longer be able to hold it... if he wanted to keep it in at all. Her crystaline eyes observed him through her dark lashes, she knew what she was doing and she seemed to enjoy it to no end.
With a soft groan, Kenshin pulled his hand back, faster or sooner then she had expected, causing Kaoru to tumble foward. He was suddenly hungy, starving for her, her softness, her taste, her body, everything. He longed for a kiss from her, to give her one, swoon her way slowly by devoring her thoughts through her mouth like she did through his wound but he did not give in, instead aiming for the junction of her slender neck and gentle curve of her shoulder. Nipping and kissing the fresh smelling skin, his arms circled her small waist, pulling her closer, craddeling her on his laps.
Kaoru sighed lovingly as Kenshin tickled her senses with the silken caresse of his mouth and the tingling touch of his nipping teeths. The sensation of his open mouthed kisses and short suckling was slowly driving her as mad as she had drove him. His hand, with a firm but gentle grim, kept her in place, fingers tracing circles over her skin through the silk of her kimono.
"Kenshin..." she breathed, barely aware of her surrounding.
Said man chuckled softly, his hand questing over her thigh, sliding down the roundness of her leg and diving under the fold of her clothes, reaching the under-kimono and parting the fabric to finaly touch the silken skin that laid underneath. Finger tips pressing with gentle passion, building up both of their desire, clouding their minds in a delicious fog. Kaoru's hand pressed over Kenshin's neck, pulling his face closer to her, filling his nose tickle her flesh as he moved, his lips a never ending sweet torture upon her now heated skin.
The red-head's free hand moved up her side, fingering her obi, feeling all the wrinkles of the fabric as he moved. In a slow, deliberate move, her pulled aside the tissu covering her chest, hand sliding further inside to pull at the white coton that binded her breasts. Left hand still caressing her thigh, distracting her as he freed her chest with his right hand. Soon, the top of her kimono sliding over her delicate shoulders, strips of colorless coton loose around her waist, Kenshin was starting his decent toward the soft orbs of flesh. His mouth leaving a trace of delight down her chest, his tongue darting out once in a while to taste the sweetened flavor of her skin. His wife moaned her aprouvement, her arms snaking around his shoulders, holding him close to her as she pressed her cheek to the top of his head. The short, stray hair tickled her face, her own black hair, blown by the soft, early summer wind, danced around him, the tips gently caressing his nape.
Kenshin took a deep breath, the air sliding into his nose creating a wonderfull sansation in Kaoru's body. Nipping at her breast as a starving man would, the retired swordsman kept distracting his wife for his ultimate goal. He slid his tongue over one warm mound, from the underside to the pike where he started a gentle sucktion. Her soft wimpers encouraging him as he gently bit the now erected tip, feeling his own exitment fuled by her reaction and harbored breathing. Having her mind somewhere else, Kenshin could now aim for his true target. His left hand slid up her thigh, fingers warping around the flesh as they went up to her hips and griped in a gentle but firm way her round rear, bitting her nipple at the same time, making her grind her lower anatomy to his. He exhalted a rasp breath, swallowing labouriously in an attempt to keep what little control he had.
She was softly whispering his name, a singing breath that chanted him toward extasy as her fingers massaged his nape. Her lips sliding down from the top of his head, leaving gentle kisses in the wake until she reached his ear. Her thongue sending shivers down his spin as the velvety feel of it slid over his lob, soon to be joined by her teeths. Kenshin groaned, nearly forgetting his earlier musing. His left hand glid away from her backside, back around her hips and toward the initial goal, fingers parting fabric and sliding further until they reached her warmth. Meanwhile, his mouth moved up, delessing her breast, up her neck, nipping at her jaw. His cloudy purple eyes stared with lust into her cristaline blues, his movement forcing her to let go of his ear. A small smile tughed at the corner of his lips, his nose caressing her cheeks before letting his lips gliding softly over hers, letting the moment linger beautifully before he could finally kiss her at the same time as his hand reached her core.
Kaoru opened her mouth to voice her pleasure, but he drank in her scream, his thoungue invading her mouth for a deeper taste of her goods. She mewed against his lips, her lower body wirthing, her hands gripping his shoulder strongly. Kenshin's fingers were mercilessly playing over her most sensitive flesh, rendering her short of breath, panting, and lost in a constent wave of pleasure. Still, around them, the day went on, their passionate embrace hinden only by the high fance that surrouned the dojo. Idly, Kenshin hoped that Yahiko did not forget to close the gate as he had left, or else there would be retribusion from the passer-by and one of their aceintances were bound to hear from this little display. However, this fear of discover seemed in enhance every little sensations, making both their body tingling and responsive to every touch.
"Ken... en.. um... please.. the..." breathless, Kaoru tried to voice something through their joined lips, but her husband's touch rendered the task near to impossible.
"What is it...?"
"N.. not... out..." she finally managed to express.
"Why not?" he asked, his lips returning to his favorite spot, thoungue laving her other neglected breast.
"People... see..."
Her head was thrown back, an almost frustrated expression covering her lovely face as she mentally acused Kenshin of deliberately turning her mindless and unable to talk. Of course, she had not cared of being outside, having completely forgetten that fact until a nice little chripping bird reminded her. Oddly, it made her a thousands time more sensitive, still she could not afford having one of her new student walking in and discover them tangled this way.
"Aah... there is a possiblity..." uttered Kenshin his warm breath litting up her skin. "However..."
However, he did not care, and the idea of simply going on was much too thrilling and exciting to take it indoors. Besides, he could not even begin to think of moving, and soon he would make her forget their surrounding just as she had previously did with her loving wound tending. Mind set, he worked harder, sliding a finger inside her, rotating his thumb, ravaging her chest, nipping, sucking, kissing, everything to make her forget, to make her feel and just that. Stealing a glance toward the dojo's gate, Kaoru sighed, seing it closed, she was simply too close now to care about anything else. At least their privacy would be preserved as long as she could keep quiet. Though with Kenshin's constent pleasuring, it was hard a task.
She bit her lips, trying to keep in the scream that threatened to expload out of her mouth when her lover pushed in a second finger, sliding in further inside, the presure of his thumb hardening and his hungry mouth at her chest driving her wild. Sliding her hands inside his gi, she pulled it down to his torso, his hakama and losen belt the only thing holding the cloth. Karou's fingers triped over his back and slid around his ribs, nails gliding of the skin, sending shivers up and down his spine. She was trembling, close to her climax, she could feel it as she bit her lower lips harder, moaning as silently as she could until it was too much and she found her release in a blind flash of pleasure, mouth agape in a quiet scream, eyes wide open staring at the clouds.
Kenshin played a few more seconds with the swollen button of her core, making her shiver and wirth as tiny sounds escaped her mouth. Her chest was heaving and still tingling from his ardent kisses, Kaoru let her husband pulled her down as he traced a line from the valley of her breasts to the line of clothes at her waist. She singhed, her hands playing gently in Kenshin's mass of red hair while he devored her belly, pulling her obi further down her waist. He slid his hand out of his gi, still loving her stomach, he pulled at his hakama, parting his wife's clothes before going back up the way he came. He kissed her behind the ear, slowly, langourously, sliding inside, his eyes shut tightly and heaving a sigh once completely wraped by her softness.
She cried out as he moved, warping her arms around his back, her legs pulling him further down. Kenshin kissed her face, suckling at her botom lip, his fingers caressing her cheek, the other hand sliding down her side and up her thigh. He danced as the wind blow, soaring them both toward the sky that shown brightly above them. The world around them flickered and dissapear; they were only two, loving eachother. No more yard, no more fence, no more gate, the fear of being discovered long forgotten. His fingers were touching her everywhere, his lips caressed her skin all over, so many sansation, she didn't know where they were starting and where they were ending.
Kenshin groaned, pulling left leg further up, making his passage easier as she wirthed and breathed his name through her parted lips. He gazed down her face, cheek pink, face redened, a lovely grimace over her delicate features as she rided along the waves of pleasure. He kissed down the line of her jaw, bitting at the tender flesh of her neck, lost in her response, insane with the sensation of her. She raked her nails up his back, clanging to him as she felt another climax building up. Her hand cramping, taking a fistfull of his hair as she crushed his head to her chest, arching her back.
"Ke... Kens.. shin !"
He could not speak, could not breath, simply trusting back and forth as she tightened around him sending delightfull tingling all across his skin down his legs to his toes. He sucked in the skin from under Kaoru's left breast, making her moan and pant. He watched as she bit her lips, closing her eyes and letting herself be swaped away, her whole body arching, pressing to his as tiny sounds of delight escaped her lips. Her name on his lips, his thongue ready to roll it out, he thrusted and his eyes widened when she gipped his bottom, sending him over a few second after her.
Panting, Kenshin coalpsed on her, his head resting on her soft stomach, hearing her heart beat even from there. He smiled gently, caressing her skin with his lips, sighing. She absent-mindedly started to play with his long trend of fiery mane, slowly recovering, her breathing eavening. One of her hand slid down Kenshin's bare back and fell on the earlier discarded book. Curious she lifted it up to her eyes levle, reading the title on the worn out leather cover.
" 'Tsubasa no Rei '..." she read outloud, her voice bemused.
" 'The Soul of the Feather'. Very interesting, I think you should read it, that you should." He mumbled against her skin, his lips tickling her.
" Hum..." she nooded, looking down at him. She met Kenshin's sparkling lanvender eyes and smiled. "I'm glad you found something to do with your hands."
Her husband chuckled. "Maybe I just found something even better to do."
"Kenshin!"
Her only answer was a fit of gentle masculine laughter and a loving kiss.

The End...
