- Toshio is sitting up on her futon, crying her little violet eyes, just waking up from a nightmare. -
- Souzou and Midori are both awakened by their daughter's cries. -

- "Souzou, could you?" Midori asks sleepily. -

- "Sure," Souzou responds, pushing himself up off their futon and heading for Toshio's room. -

- He finds his daughter sitting curled up on her little futon, sobbing into Usa-chan's ear. -
- She looks up at him with tears in her eyes. -
- Souzou settles down on a cushion beside Toshio's futon and gently takes the crying girl in his arms. -

- "What's wrong, sweetie?" he asks softly. "Did you have a bad dream?" -

- Toshio nods against his shoulder and bursts into tears again. -

- "But you know what?" Souzou persists, shifting his little girl so that she lays cradled in his arms. "It was just a dream... Not one minute of it was real." -

- The little girl looks up at her father, trying to believe him. -
- Souzou smiles at his daughter, stroking her cheek to comfort her. -

- "It might seem real at the time," Souzou told her. "But it's just your imagination. You can make it go away by yourself just by thinking of something happy..." -

- "Really?" the little girl asked, her eyes wide. -

- Souzou nods. -

- "But if it upsets you too much, just come and get me," he says soothingly. "I'll help you make it go away." -

- He shifts her up higher on his chest and begins to sing to her, smiling down at her sweet little face. -
