"Kaoru and Ken-san………" Kamatari apologized with a pink face "sorry for the trouble that I have caused last night………"

"It's okay." Kenshin replied, patting Kamatari's head at the same time.

Kamatari's face turned pinkier. Trying to bring his embarrassing moment to an end, Kamatari thanked them for their hospitality and decided to leave.

"Where are you going?" Kaoru asked, worried that he might get into trouble again.

"The police headquarter." Kamatari answered with a weak smile.

"Good morning, Saitou-san!"

"Aren't you supposed to be on vacation?" Saitou questioned, flicking through his documents at the same time "or is it that you are yearning for more work?"

"Please……… Saitou-san!!!" Kamatari begged "can't I even drop by and visit you?"

"Surely, it isn't as simple as you say dropping by and paying me a visit, right?" The Chief Police corrected "what's your request this time?"

Kamatari faced down, murmuring.

"Saitou-san………."

"What is it?"

Kamatari broke into silence, hesitating to bring the issue up.

"These papers are waiting for me." Saitou said seriously as he pointed at another stack of files on his desk.

"Erm……… Is the police still after Seta Soujiro?"

Saitou paused what he was doing and eyed Kamatari. "Is that what you came here for?" He asked.

Kamatari kept quiet, not knowing how to tackle the Chief Police's question.

"Since Shishio is dead, the remaining Juppongatana has broke up and turned over new leafs, I think the government has decided not to pursue this any more."

"Including………" Kamatari voiced out eagerly

"Soujiro." Saitou cut in.

The homo was taken back. How does he know I was going to ask that?

"Do you have any ideas where he is now?" Kamatari threw in another question.

"No."

Even the Chief of Police does not have any ideas on the kid who murdered his foster parents years ago? Drop of tears appeared at the edge of Kamatari's eyes. He thanked and as he was about to leave, Saitou broke into laughter. Kamatari looked annoyed and asked: "What's so funny?!"

"You believed what I said just now?" Saitou joked, taking a puff "you're so innocent."

"YES! I AM THAT INNOCENT, SAITOU-SAN!!!" Kamatari yelled.

"What if I say he's somewhere in Kyoto now?"

From a lifeless soul moment ago, Kamatari sprung into life after being fooled by the cunning Miburo. "Saitou-san, you are so bad!!!" the homo pulled one of Saitou's `antennas'. Despite that, he remained cool and calm.

"I don't know where he exactly is, but he's in Kyoto. You can asked the weasel girl and her gang to help you at there." Saitou hinted and continued his paperwork.

"Arigato, Saitou-san!!!" Kamatari thanked happily and dashed out of the office like a kid. Saitou shook his head.

As Kamatari ran back home, his mind was filled with hopes. What was he going to do with Soujiro if he really finds him? That was the future, now what he really needs to do was get home fast and pack his luggage.
