Next Day At The Dojo

Kaoru awoke to see the sun shining rays into her window causing her to squint her eyes. She stood up and stretched her arms out yawning. Knowing that Kenshin and the others were up before her she put her peach robe on and headed towards the kitchen. A smiling Kenshin greeted her as she walked into the kitchen. " Good morning Miss Kaoru, I hope you slept well."

" Good morning Kenshin." Kaoru seated herself down at the table where Sano and Yahiko also waited for breakfast to be served. " Good morning you two." `Yahiko has a lot of energy this morning, must be because he went to sleep early.'

When breakfast was served Sano looked at Kenshin telling him to talk to Kaoru. " Uh Miss Kaoru, how about when you get dressed you meet us back at the table for a talk. Kaoru stopped eating to look up at Kenshin and Sano. ` Why, what do they want?' Kaoru only nodded her head in agreement. " I'm done eating, I'll go get dressed now." Kaoru's small figure disappeared down the hall. " Kenshin if you start to punk out, I'll take over."

About 15 minutes later Kaoru came out of her room surprisingly not wearing black. Dark blue jeans and a jacket to match, under the jacket again was a white shirt and she had dark blue boots to match. Her long raven hair was tied in a low ponytail, over her shoulder. Kaoru sat back down at the table ready for anything they would throw at her. " Miss Kaoru yesterday when you where out Saitou came by to ask Sessha and Sano to help with a case. There have been murders that have absolutely no track of evidence left behind. This person is a big threat to Japan."

" Kenshin why are you telling me this?"

" Miss Kaoru please let me continue. Saitou thinks that the Iowa Company is involved, so yesterday around 9:00 pm we went to the Iowa Building only to see you come out of it."

Yahiko looked completely lost. " Is that where you guys went? On a case, why didn't you tell me?" Everyone ignored Yahiko's comment to wait for Kaoru's reply.

" You think I'm involved with the Iowa Company?" Kenshin was praying that she wasn't, all she has to say is she's not. "Miss Kaoru right now you're a suspect." Her expression showed anger when she really was laughing on the inside."

"Your counting me as a suspect because I came out of the building to smoke, that's pretty pathetic don't you think?" Kenshin's heart was beating unbearably fast. "Miss Kaoru all you have to say is no." A smile slowly curved on Kaoru's lips. "If I were to say no I would be lying wouldn't I?"

"God Missy cut the bullshit! Are you involved or not?"

"Of course I'm involved, actually I'm more than involved I'm the leader. You know the boss; I own that company. I'm like a God to them they tremble when they see me, it's like I'm running an army of 500 men! I'm their queen; it's the greatest feeling in the world. And why stop for Japan, it didn't do anything but screw up my life. The people here treated me like dirt, why show them any mercy. Payback's a bitch!"

"This is not the Missy I know."

"Don't you get it? The Kaoru you know doesn't exist; well she did but not anymore. She was like a character I made up! Everyday dealing with that shit, Miss Kaoru, Missy, Busu! You minus well be talking to thin air, I haven't gone by the name Kaoru since I was 10. The names Faye."

" Miss Kao-, Miss Faye was it all a lie. Do you really care about my past?" Kaoru put her hand of her heart like it was the sweetest thing she ever heard. "No that wasn't a lie, I don't give a damn about your past or your future. So you can get Saitou and tell him to throw me in jail. When you do, tell him I'll like to see him try, he can't outsmart me if he had Japan's geniuses on his side. I have been waiting for this my whole life. Kaoru, which is now, is Faye stood up to leave the Dojo. "When you've made your decision come to the Iowa Building and ask to speak with Faye Kamiyah." Kaoru turned to leave until she heard Yahiko speak. "What about me? Was letting me stay a lie too?"

"No kid, it wasn't. I had no idea I was going to end up keeping you with me. I guess It's because you reminded me of myself when I was younger."

"Please don't leave." Faye only left saying words they all heard clearly. "I'll be back real soon." As soon as Faye left Kenshin could have sworn his heart stopped for about 2 minutes. "Kenshin you know we have to tell Saitou right?" Kenshin tilted his head back and only made one comment. "I think I know why she is doing this, lets talk to Saitou."
