" God, what the hell happened here?" Sano sighed as Megumi rushed to Kaoru's side. " There was a fight between Saitou and Kaoru."

Megumi touched Kaoru's neck for a pulse. There was a pulse but it was very faint. " Between Saitou and Kaoru, where you there?"

` Yeah, we all where." Megumi quickly looked up at Sano. " And you let him do this to her!"

" Megumi we cant fight her battles, and you don't know the whole story."

` Tell me about it then."

" Later Megumi just please try and help her, is Dr. Genzi treating Saitou?"

" Yes. You should go talk with the others they looked pretty depressed out there." Sano nodded and left. As soon as Sano left she looked at Kaoru while working. " What did you do to yourself Kaoru? You're a good person kid and your strong, your going to make it."

Kenshin's head quickly snapped up as Sano entered the kitchen. " How is she Sano?"

" You would know if you went to see her." Kenshin's head sank down. " She's dying Kenshin," Sano said simply. " It's 7 times out of 10 she'll make it. She's lost so much blood. And for the first time in my life I have never been so afraid. She's my little sister, you know?" Sano leaned his head back to stop the tears from falling from his eyes. Unlike Yahiko who had been crying the minute she was wounded. " What about Saitou Kenshin?"

" He'll live. He's not going to be able to do anything for 3 weeks max."

" Kenshin I'm scared for Kaoru," Yahiko said between sobs.

" Me to Yahiko."

1 month later

Kenshin cooked in the kitchen humming to himself while cooking. 5 minutes later Sano and Yahiko came into the kitchen. " Good morning Sano, Yahiko."

" Morning Kenshin."

" I'm going to try to get Miss Kaoru to eat." Sano chewing on a fishbone only smiled. " Good luck getting her to speak." Kenshin picked up a tray of food and headed to Kaoru's room.

Kenshin was going to knock but he didn't because he knew she wouldn't enter so he just walked in. " Good morning Miss Kaoru, did you sleep well?" Her blue ocean eyes only followed Kenshin as he made his was towards her. " Miss Kaoru would you like to sit up?" Again she just looked at him. Kenshin let out a long sigh and gently grasped her hand. " God Kaoru why won't you speak to me?" Kaoru turned her head and spoke in a very low voice. " I don't belong here, sitting around doing nothing. I hate it here."

" Of course you belong here Kaoru."

Shaking her head she had a look of disappointment. " That company is my world, and I will stick with it, just like it's stuck with me. They stuck with me because they trusted that I would make that company big, therefore the people there would also be big. It was just a matter of loneliness; to be recognized for what we really are. It was just a choice from the heart."

" What does that company do Kaoru?"

" Kill to be the best. I still have to go back." Kenshin stood up to look at the girls face. " Not for another couple of weeks you don't.

" Kenshin can you do me a favor?"

" Sure."

" Could you call Enishi here for me?"
