Chapter 1: Spell bounded
“Kenshin…how’s the dinner coming?” Yahiko asked.
“Very well Yahiko.” He answered chopping some celery.
“Don’t have to lie Kenshin….you know Kaoru’s cooking stinks.” Yahiko whispered.
“I HEARD THAT!” Kaoru yelled as Yahiko ran out off the kitchen.
Kenshin chuckled as she ran after him chasing him.
“Not to worry Miss Kaoru…I think your cooking is just fine, that I do.” He commented.
“Gee nice someone at least appreciates it.” Kaoru applied smacking Yahiko with a wooden spoon.
“HEY!” He angered.
“Can you too just cook…some of us are starving here.” Sanosuke muttered.
“Need any help?” Megumi asked.
“No…its fine.” Kenshin smiled as Kaoru and Yahiko continued to chase each other.
They sat down and ate all the food then.
“Tastes like glue.” Yahiko muttered.
“What was that!” Kaoru demanded.
“Heh, Miss Kaoru is a great chief but lacks imagination.” Kenshin commented.
“Kenshin!” Kaoru exclaimed.
“Lot of imagination.” Yahiko added stuffing some of the food down.
Suddenly Kenshin felt a weird presence as he looked up.
“Something wrong Kenshin?” Kaoru asked.
“No Miss Kaoru…I’ll be back though.” He stood up leaving the dojo.
Kaoru looked after him as the others continued eating.
Kenshin walked outside as he glanced around.
His sword still tied on his side as he walked around.
‘I felt an usual presence…’ He thought.
His amethyst eyes searched around.
There was a shaking sound in the next room as he walked towards it.
He opened the wooden door as he entered the room.
He saw bookshelves of books of all kinds inside.
But he seemed to be drawn to a certain one.
He grabbed a dusted blue book as he dusted it off.
‘Hmm…this is giving off a weird aura.’ He thought.
He opened the book and glanced through it.
Suddenly the book turned to a certain page on its own.
Kenshin gave an alarmed look but glanced at the page.
It read out an usual chant that he found himself reading.
“One within one…deep inside a warrior…release the darkness from light and seal the person’s soul…doing so the person shall be split…and as days go their fate shall depend on them…as this spell keeps like this forever if not reversed…” He chanted.
Suddenly he felt a dark aura surround him as he dropped the book and collapsed on the floor.
“Kenshin…..Kenshin!” Someone called.
Kenshin opened his eyes as he sat up moaning.
His eyes were golden orbs of fierceness instead of his usual amethyst eyes of kindness.
It was the Battousai, the manslayer as he stood up dusting himself.
“Heh, I’m back…” He muttered darkly.
“Kenshin! Where are you, you baka!” Kaoru exclaimed irritated.
She had gotten worried when he didn’t come back right away.
“Let the hunt begin….” Battousai mumbled chuckling as he walked in her direction.
His eyes gave a fierce, aggressive glare as Kaoru smiled when she saw him.
But something didn’t feel right…..
Author’s note: Yeah, I know its short. But the next chapter will be longer. So now that Battousai is in control what will happen? Can Kenshin control himself? Well review and I’ll see ya all next chapter. Thanx!
