Rei walked, through the streets of a town, looking for an old friend. Battosai, I know you're here, if I just knew what you look like now a days. Kenshin, it's been so long, why in hell am I looking for you now? Maybe you were right, I'm just a like what you said I was... Rei thought as she continued walking, stopping to look at shops here and there. I'm just a little butterfly...

Where's my samuri?
I've been searching for a man,
All across Japan,
Just to find, to find my samuri.
Someone strong but still a little shy.

"Hey, just who do you think you are?!" Proclaimed a guy after Rei bumped into him.

"A fighter who never gave up my sword," Rei answered, sly grin crossing her face. "You care to try my skills? Though, I would not advise picking a fight with me."

"I'll shove that advise right down your throat!" The guy roared.

"Let's just try that shall we?" Rei asked removing her straw hat and navy blue cloak. She turned and face him, pulling out one of her three katanas. She took up her fighting stance. The guy threw a punch at her, she doged, and hit him in the back, causing him to fall face first into the ground. She regained her fighting stance and readied for another attack from her opponent, when Sano stepped in.

"What do you think you're doin'!?!? This is my fight! Do you mind!!?!?!" Rei yelled, her first fight in years, and this guy was interupting. Unthinkable! How dare he! Just who did he think he was!? "Get outta my fight or you'll be missin' an arm and leg and numerous other body parts!"

"Now, now, little missy, no need to get upset. Is this guy givin you a hard time?" Sano asked.

"I can take him! I might be a girl, but I! AM! NOT! WEAK!" Rei screamed.

"You don't need to make a scene..." Sano started.

"SCENE! I'll show you a scene!" Rei thundered.

"Come on," Sano sighed, then slung a very unhappy Rei over his shoulder. Grabbing Rei's cloak and hat, Sano left for the dojo...

"Kenshin you know her?" Sano asked.

"Yes, she is an old friend, that she is," Kenshin replied. "Rei, what brings you here?"

"I'll just say this, I'm looking for my samuri...

To keep me in his net.

"I've been all over Japan looking for you," Rei said. "I've found I am exactly what you called me all those years ago, a little butterfly with dark wings."

"You remembered..." Kenshin answered, trailing off.

"Yeah, I remembered, to me the war still isn't over, and it never will be,"

"You're looking for 'your samuri', are you finally thinking of giving up fighting for a normal life?"

"No, I will never quit fighting, that's why I said 'samuri' insted of 'love',"

"Maybe you've found him...

Rei stood out side rain pouring down, she sighed and looked back at the building where Kenshin was staying.

"I'll see you, Battosai the man slayer, I will meet you again," Rei whispered into the dark rainy night. Rei turned and started walking away, away, from Kenshin, away from the town, away from Kenshin's protection, and his love...

Rei stood out side in the rain, it was night, it was time she left. This night is exactly like the night, I first left Kenshin. Amazing how time allows itself to repeat. Rei thought. Kenshin stood silently behind her. He lost her once, and he would not do it again. Kenshin walked foreward, until he was directly behind her. When Rei turned to take one last look at the dojo, he moved swiftly around. When she turned, Rei came face to face with Kenshin. He looked very simalar to the way he did when he was younger, actually, Kenshin had made it that way.
Rei looked at Kenshin in amazment. Silence befalled the two. Kenshin leaned in and kissed Rei. He could be Rei's samuri, and she could be his little butterfly...
