Chapter 7

Sanosuke was busy playing with Kenshin on the front porch with a ball that he seemed to just love to chasing it across the vast, green lawn. Soon, however, a man came walking up to him. The appearance of white, short hair, and strangely silver flashing eyes stared at him from underneath a straw hat. Kenshin seemed to stiffen up, his tail puffed up as the man approached the two. "Hello, Sanosuke, remember me, Nanakie?", the man asked, holding his hand out to Sanosuke.

"Nanakie? From the top rank, right hand warrior for Captain Sagara's group?", Sanosuke asked.

"Yup, that'd be me.", Nanakie said, "Hey, is that lil' neko yours?",

"Well, sort of.", Sanosuke admitted, "Say hello to an old friend of mine, Kenshin.",

Nanakie held out his hand for Kenshin to shake, only he hissed baring his slightly pointed teeth at the man. "Kenshin no likes.", he growled deeply inside his throat.

"Kenshin!", Sanosuke yelled at the small boy.

"Kenshin no likes him because he's a bad man.", Kenshin explained.

"Kenshin, I will not have you insult my friend, now go to your own room right now!", Sanosuke yelled at Kenshin.

"FINE!", Kenshin yelled at Sanosuke, "KENSHIN NEVER WANTED TO BE SANO"S MATE ANYWAY!!!!!!!!",

As Kenshin went running off crying, Sanosuke went to try to talk with him, only Nanakie held him back. "He's just a little angry, he'll be over it in a little while.", Nanakie said.

"You're right, Kenshin can't hold a grudge forever...", Sanosuke said, but faintly he hoped he would have gone to apologize.

Instead, he led his friend around, and showed him a place where he could sleep the night, in a room beside where Megumi would be staying for the night so she could check on Yahiko who had injured himself during the practice earlier. "Here you go.", Sanosuke told him, "I'll see you in the morning.",

Nanakie snuck threw the hallways looking for the neko- boy's room. As soon as he found it, Nanakie got ready, making sure he had everything of his so he could leap out the window without a peep. He went it, and quickly grabbed the child around the mouth, and waist. However, he wasn't planning on having Kenshin bite him, and yell for help. "SANOSUKE!!!!! HEEEELLLP!!!!!!", Kenshin yelled.

Nanakie started to run for the window.

Sanosuke was woken by Kenshin's cry for help, and instantly was up, and running for the kitten- boy's room. The noise had also woken Yahiko, Kaoru, and Megumi... However, it was Sanosuke who came bursting in just as a figure was perching the windowsill, Kenshin in one arm, a dart shooter in the other. Just as the figure leapt out the window, Sanosuke realized he was hit with a dart. The world began to sway, and he felt his body thrumming with whatever the dart had in it. Megumi made it there with her supplies in hand (Just in case.) and soon noticed Sanosuke's need. "He's been injected with the same thing as Kenshin, don't worry, it won't change him, though as long as I wasn't too late.", she explained as Kaoru, and Yahiko came in.

"You mean, he won't become like what Kenshin is?", Kaoru said.

"One side effect my drug won't get rid of though, is the neko- jin's sexual drive, that's all.", Megumi explained.

"But, what about Kenshin:?", Yahiko asked.

"We were too late, he's been kidnapped, and we'll have to wait until Sanosuke awakes before we follow that man.", Megumi replied.

"Ken- shin....", Sanosuke muttered, in his near hallucinating state, "I'm.... Sor-ry.... I should've listened....",

End Chapter: Cause it's 11:33 PM, and I am beat!
