Lime ahoy!

REINCARNATED

Aoshi was snoring when Kaoru left the room, thankful the bathroom was off the

hall. She kicked something hard and Aoshi stirred as she muttered and swore, then he

rolled over and continued sleeping. She returned quickly, but instead of getting back in

her bed, she came to sit beside him, trailing her fingers along his cheek. That woke him.

*What the hell is Kaoru doing* he brushed the hand away.

"Aoshi."

*Misao!?* He sat up, pulling the sheet up to his chest. It was indeed. He

glanced over at his sister's bed; empty. *Damn her.* "Go back to your room, Misao."

"I can't; Kaoru put me out." She tried to sound like she was whining, and not like

this was deliberate.

"She what?!" But Aoshi could hear his sister giggling across the hall already.

"Ew!"

Misao got up and closed the door, plunging the room into total darkness. He

heard cloth rustling then felt her warm little body against his.

"What are you---"

She put her finger against his lips. "Please? Aoshi?" She took his hand and rested

it over her breast. "I'm not a little kid anymore." Her small hand slid down his chest

toward his waist and the top of the sheet. "And neither are you."

"No . . I mean, I know that . . . but still . . . we . . .can't . . ." *Shut up,

morals!*

"Why not?" She purred, yanking away the sheet. He began searching franticly for

her clothes. "They're over there, by the closet." She pointed to the white lump on the

other side of the room.

*Dammit.* "Misao---" She cut him off with a kiss and all coherent thought

fled.

*~*

*Okay, I guess I kinda like aggressive Misao.* He mused later. He glanced

towards the window. The sun was starting to hit this the window, turning the room gray.

Dawn. He looked down at Misao who was till sleeping, her thick black hair spread

over the pillow and trailing onto the floor.

*A guy could get used to this.* He lifted a strand of hair off her cheek.

*She's so tiny, but she fits me perfectly. Oh, gods, we didn't use anything. I can't just

hope and pray she doesn't get pregnant. Not that I think she'd mind if it was mine, but 18

is to young to be a parent.*

"You're frowning."

"Just thinking. About us."

"Oh. Did I do something wrong?"

"No, Misao; it was me. Something I shouldn't have forgotten."

"Condoms?"

"Yeah." She smiled.

"It's okay. I've been on the pill for the last two years." She stretched, testing the

limits of the sheet to stay in place and Aoshi's self control.

"Oh, well, still . . . there's other---"

"Aoshi, I know for a fact you have no girlfriends and have never---" He cut her

off with a kiss.

"Don't say it." This earned him a knowing smirk.

"Stupid male pride."

"What's left of it anyway." Misao giggled and ran her tiny hand over his chest,

moulding her fingers to his muscles. Her thumb grazed a nipple and he took a hissing

breath. She immediately took her hand away.

"Did I hurt---"

"No, it doesn't hurt. See?" He copied the motion on her got another giggle.

"I see." She sat up and startled his hips. "Well, let's see; I think you showed me

this---" she traced her tongue across his chest and Aoshi grinned.

"I think I recall THAT!"

She kissed his belly button and began sliding the sheet away. he felt her smile, but

she didn't look up. "How about this?"

"Yeah."

"Let me know when to stop."

"You're doing fine." She giggled again and returned her attention her to his lips.

"Well, I am a fast learner."

"I'm counting on it."

Kaoru and Kenshin spent a long time that night talking and laughing about the past and their possible future. When they finally made love, they took their time, he because he was afraid of hurting her and she to explore a body without the scars she now so vividly remembered. Sated at last, Kenshin just wanted to hold her, but Kaoru had one last thing to do.

"Koshii, I remember you had a scar here," she kissed his shoulder. "And I kissed you here and told you I'd heal you. And here," another kiss. "And here, here, and

here. . ."

She traced his whole body with tiny kisses then slid back up his body and placed the final kiss on his left cheek.

"And here." She was a little surprised to see tears in his eyes. He wrapped his arms around her and buried his face in her hair.

"Thank you."

*Where in the devil are they?* Hiko had kind of figured they'd be room swapping, but it was damn near noon and he'd waited, figuring they'd be down by now. As this thought flitted across his mind, his baka musuka finally put in an appearance. The Miss Saito was nowhere to be seen.

"What have you been doing all morning? Don't answer that."

Kenshin smiled. "Kaoru-dono wants breakfast in bed."

"Kenshin, remember what I told you last night?"

"Uh . . .be---careful?" Kenshin was in the fridge getting the fixings for eggs and French toast.

"Yes. Here." Hiko handed Kenshin the paper. "Page 6."

Cautiously, Kenshin opened the paper.

AM. GENERAL'S DAUGHTER KIDNAPPED the headline read. Kenshin closed the paper without reading the article.

"Dammit, Saito!"

"Oh, keep reading; it gets better."

"Never mind," he ground out. "I've seen enough. God, I'll kill him."

"Who?" Aoshi finally came down in search of food. Who knew little Misao had so much energy? Kenshin handed the paper to his father, who passed it to Aoshi.

"Page6."

Aoshi opened the paper, skimmed the page, turned red then pale and slowly closed it. The three warriors stood silently in the kitchen, murder in the eyes of two of them.

"I'll kill 'im." Aoshi finally declared.

"Kenshin already said that."

"He's your father, Aoshi, you must on some level understand how his sick, twisted mind works."

Aoshi hrumped. "Mom didn't understand fully how the Wolf's mind works."

"The . . . Wolf?"

"My father, Hajime Saito." Aoshi and Kenshin brooded for a few minutes, then Aoshi nodded to himself. "Today is Kaoru's birthday. This wasn't what I had in mind for her, but never mind. Please don't let her see that and for the love of God don't show it to Misao; she'll tell Kaoru."

Kenshin began fixing breakfast. "I know what he wants. And unless Kaoru-dono says I can, I'm not fighting him over his daughter, that I will not."

"Why would he want to fight you?"

"Because he's a sick, sad little man." Kenshin took the toast from the toaster and prepared a tray for Kaoru. "I'll be right back." He went out and Aoshi opened the paper and looked at the story again.

"Hmmm . . .it doesn't mention me or Misao at all. Good. We can go and at least buy Kaoru a card or something."

Hiko nodded. "Sure. Just be careful."

The door opened and a very bouncy Misao put in an appearance. She threw her arms around Aoshi's waist and kissed his stomach, one because he hadn't put a shirt on yet, and two that was all she could reach. Hiko excused himself with the paper and Aoshi picked her up and sat her on the minibar.

"We have to go shopping, Misao. Remember, today is Kaoru's birthday."

"Alright!" She kissed him again. "But I just wonder why your father has stopped pursuing us. He must have something sneakier in mind."

HUGE SWEATDROP

"Oh, yeah. So . . . go and get dressed."

She slid off the counter and hurried out of the room.
