Rurouni Kenshin Fan Fiction ❯ Riyu's last remembrance ❯ A death before life ( Chapter 2 )
Yoko's POV
"Oh well, I will still win. I have a few tricks up my sleeve still." The man, drew his sword. It caught the light, and blades clashed against one another sending a flash into the room.
I can't see what is happening. I hear them fighting, I can hear the clash of their swords, but every time I try to open my eyes a flash of light blinds me again. How is Riyu fighting, is he ok?
"I see you are a skilled fighter, even though I wasn't expecting anything less. Even without eyesight you can sense my movements. But can you sense what I am about to do right now?"
"Riyu, please don't kill." I spoke to the blackness behind my eyelids.
The noise of the swords stopped. There was no more sound. I opened my eyes to find the man had tossed his sword on the ground near Riyu's body, which was covered in blood. "Thank you miss for distracting him just long enough for me." the man said.
I gasped. Riyu lost. He lost because of me. He's dead because of me. Without him...I don't care what happens to me now, now that I have nothing to live for anymore.
The man walked to me and placed his hand upon my face and the other upon my breasts. I slumped down letting the ropes support my bruised body. "So you give up now that the man you love is dead." He laughed.
I just dropped my head as an answer and let tears freely fall from my face.
"Alright then I will have it my way." This time he took a dagger out and slit the front of my obi and the back of my kimono, so it slid down to the floor in shreds and my body was exposed. I closed my eyes hoping that this would all go away. I shivered against the cool air that brushed my skin. How I wish that was Riyu was here. I heard the man untie his hakama and I heard the fabric fall to the ground. He placed his hands on either side of my head and whispered, "I get to have the hitokiri's woman, to break your innocence." I did not want to open my eyes fearing the worst. "This is a treat." He positioned himself over me, I could feel him pressing against me, first my stomach then further down. "No...onegai..." I pleaded. He laughed and bit my ear and then thrust into me. I screamed out in pain, I've never felt this much pain before. It wouldn't go away. My only innocence was ripped away from me. He suddenly pulled away with a yell that pierced my ears. I looked down to see why he stopped his assult, and met with cold red eyes.
"Riyu!" I leaned forward to feel his face against mine. Is this really you? You aren't dead? I looked down to his chest and saw a wound in his side that must have been caused by my kidnapper.
"Yoko are you alright? I'm so sorry." His voice is the same, but his eyes did not change back.
I shook my head sadly. He reached up and undid the ropes, and I collapsed into his embrace. He removed his gi, and wrapped it around me. Then the world spun as I struggled to keep concious as he picked me up and carried me out of the woods.
