Humor, Lemon… Saitou is ill which can only be caused by one thing. Allergies. The wolf is sick and now the rooster has to take care of him. But is that the best solution?

Chapter 1

Saitou had never been sick, and thought he would never be sick.

But he was.

He didn't know what caused it, or how no one was affected except for him. It had been like this for a week. Sanosuke came over frequently to visit and help him get better.

But it didn't help.

No, no it only made things worse, for both of them. Their relationship had been rocky in the beginning but now they were happy and had been this way for a while. But with this sickness, things just didn't seem to be going well.

Saitou Hajime, the Wolf of Mibu was sick in bed, taking days off from his very important job. Wasting time made him frustrated and moody.

After being sick for a week, he became a little better, and could actually tolerate his lover.

Sanosuke was not happy though.

No sex for a week. And a horny rooster is a bad rooster.

"Cmon Jime, don't you feel any better? Well at least you can stand now and Megumi is back from town."

"No I don't need a doctor…cough. I think I need to sit."

"Saitou Hajime you will see Megumi if you know what's fucking good for you!"

"And how do you know what's good for me?" Saitou asked. Sano took the opportunity presented to him and lunged on top of Saitou, pinning him to where his weak body couldn't fight.

"I know what's good for you, I always know. A good lay might do you some good."

Saitou's condition became worse. His head was spinning and he started to itch everywhere. His body suddenly felt warm and not because of the ahou on top of him. He started cramping up and then gasping for breath. Sano removed himself quickly and tried to aid his older lover.

"Geeze Saitou are you ok? I never thought you were this bad, I was sure you were getting' better."

Sanosuke started cuddling him causing dizziness and nausea to overwhelm him.

"Saitou? Saitou!"

And the wolf lost consciousness.

It was dark in the room, Saitou couldn't see anything. But he could hear two voices that sounded like they were very close.

"Is he going to be ok?"

"Yes for the time being. But you should keep and eye on him. I will stay late tonight. I need to talk to him when he wakes." The female voice said.

`Fox?' Saitou thought. Then his mind went back reeling to the other male voice he had heard. Unmistakable.

`Ahou.'

"Look he's moving. You think he'll wake up?" Sano asked Megumi. Saitou then decided to open his eyes and see the two figures sitting around him.

"Hey old man, thought that old age of yours finally retired. How ya feelin'?"

"A little better. What is wrong with me?" he looked towards Megumi.

"I'm not sure; I've really never seen anything like it. You should rest while I do a proper examination. I'll study up tonight and try to find your illness." Megumi smiled looking both at Saitou and then to Sanosuke. "Uh Sanosuke, you'll have to leave the room while I do this. Why don't you go home for the night and get some rest. You can visit first thing tomorrow."

The rooster looked at the fox then to the wolf. Nope he wasn't going to challenge either of them. He would rather be walking. As soon as Sano had left, Megumi started her examinations.

"Have you been near anyone who was sick lately?" the doctor asked.

"No." Saitou shortly answered.

"Have you eating anything or drank any contaminated water?"

"Other than the usual soba and tea, no."

"Have you ever been sick before, family history of illness, heart problems, respiratory problems?"

"No." Again he answered.

"Are you allergic to anything?"

"Nothing but shellfish and eggs." Saitou replied.

"Have you been around any of those recent-"

"No." Saitou looked at Megumi and strangely realized that he was feeling a bit better. His nose was clear, his throat was no longer throbbing, and his headache was minimal.

"You look better Saitou. Are you feeling well?"

"Oddly enough yes. I think I should be fine."

"Well it doesn't matter; I will stop over some time tomorrow. I think I should have an answer by then." Megumi stood up and turned to leave.

"Thank you Miss Takani." Megumi nodded her head and quietly exited his home for the evening. Maybe Saitou could get some rest after all.

When Saitou woke he stood up, realizing that he had felt better, like he was perfectly fine. This had happened a few times before, but it was short periods when he actually felt normal.

Saitou went and took a bath, got something to eat and started getting ready for work. He didn't want to miss out on anything at the station and he needed to get out of his house for a while.

Someone knocked at the door. Saitou made his way over and opened it finding one ahou on his step.

"Mornin' Jime." Sano went up to his lover and gave him a big kiss. Saitou felt odd, and strangely he had a metallic taste in his mouth. His head became light and he felt like he was going to vomit.

Saitou, not meaning any disrespect to Sanosuke, forcefully pushed him away trying to breath and maintain proper equilibrium.

"So is that how it is. We haven't had sex; I'm horny and then you get all sick whenever I come around you. What's the deal?"

Saitou composed himself and looked at Sano.

"Sanosuke please, I'm not feeling well." Sano had never seen Saitou like this. He wanted to comfort him but that might make it worse. Then he heard someone yelling.

"Sanosuke! Sanosuke get away from him!" Megumi came running down the street holding a stack of papers and a medical bag.

As soon as she made it to the lovers, she pulled Sanosuke away from Saitou, keeping the two at least 10 feet apart.

"Hey, what's the problem fox?" Sano yelled.

"You are the problem Sanosuke. But please let's not talk out here." The woman led the two men inside, keeping Sano as far away as she could from Saitou.

When everything was settled Megumi took out the papers she had been holding and read them over once more.

Saitou looked at Sanosuke with no expression, just very calm and very sick. He needed answers. "So I assume you know what's wrong with me. Does this have anything to do with Sano?"

"Unfortunately yes." She looked at Sanosuke. "Sano, have you eaten anything rare, unusual, or different lately?"

"No not that I know of. Well I have been going to this new restaurant. It has really good fish."

"What kind of fish?" Megumi asked.

Sanosuke thought back and then recalled what he had eaten just before he made his way over to Saitou's house. "Uh well I always get the shellfish, but they have really good beef too."

"As I thought. Sanosuke, you are the one causing Saitou's illness." Sanosuke looked dumbstruck and then looked terribly sad.

"It's alright Sano, you didn't know." Saitou said looking a bit pale.

The doctor drew a deep breath to prepare an explanation. "Well I know what you've contracted. It's called Anaphylaxis. It's a sudden, severe systemic allergic reaction that can involve various areas of the body. Symptoms occur within minutes to two hours after contact with the allergy-causing substance. Also known as Sagara Sanosuke."

"Well Miss Takani, I need to ask some questions."

"Of course Saitou." Said the tall woman.

"Is this serious and how long are the affects?"

"Well you are a serious case, but its not life threatening. The affects can last about a few days, but since you have been exposed to the substance for so long it'll take about 2 weeks. Your system needs time to fight it." With the mention of 2 weeks, Sano fell over, which was ignored.

"But I felt fine when Sanosuke wasn't here."

"That's because it's not causing a reaction, but your immune system is still fighting it. Another reason for this long period is Sanosuke. I don't know how much he has ate and how long ago he ate it. But the substance you are allergic to has seeped through his skin and it needs time to run through his system."

"I still don't understand why I can't go back to work!" Saitou argued.

"Because Mr. Wolf, you are prone to other fatal diseases since your immune system is weak." Megumi said.

Sanosuke intervened. "So does this mean I can't see him for the next two weeks?"

"Actually no, you will be able to see him, just not touch him skin to skin. Reason being is I have antibiotics that should help and make you tolerable to Saitou. But that still means no screwing!"

"But…but can't you do anything! You mean I can't touch him for the next two fucking weeks!"

The doctor knew why Sano was so agitated. "You'll live. Another thing, I will be out of town for a week, so Sano I would like for you to take care of Saitou. Since you two are close, this shouldn't be a problem. Should it?"

Saitou looked concerned for himself and Sano. A horny rooster is a bad rooster. "That's fine. Could I have the antibiotics now?"

"Oh yes. Here." She handed him the bottle. "This is called Epinephrine. It works to reverse the symptoms of an anaphylactic reaction and helps prevent the progression of it. So you will be able to be around Sano as long as you take that." Megumi stood and headed to the door.

"Sano behave and leave Saitou alone. He needs rest and you to help him. Give him the medicine 2 times a day, in the morning and in the evening. I'll see you next week Saitou." Megumi left leave and closed the door behind her.

By this time Sanosuke was sad and Saitou was sick again.

"Ahou….cough." Saitou's body spasmed from the lack of air and his dry, swelled throat.

Sanosuke rushed to his side giving his lover the medicine needed. After a few minutes of resting, Saitou could actually stand and walk over to Sano who was on the other side of the room, waiting. Sano looked up from his sitting position.

"I don't wanna wait. That's three weeks without sex! What the hell am I supposed to do?" Saitou smiled and turned to go in his bedroom.

"You do have a hand, don't you?"
