Chapter 5: I'll Be Stronger... for her

"To come out again and kill the living daylights out of you!" She yelled as she whipped out an orange whip with her fingernails. The people screamed as she laughed bitterly.

"You humans never learn!!" Siva yelled as she killed a handful of people with only a swing of the finger. The villagers continue to assault her with their weapons.

"Those weapons would do you no good!" Siva laughed again as she whirled around as the two whips flew about her and killed those who neared her. Her orange cat ears twitched as she caught what ever was hovering towards her...

Kaoru's Hiraikotsu...

Siva looked at the Hiraikotsu as she dropped it to the brown ground. She turned her head slowly to meet those amber slits.

"So I see you are finally awake, Himura Kenshin." Siva asked amusingly. He still had that energy to throw that Hiraikotsu around. Not bad. Siva nodded to herself as she walked towards the panting figure. She traced his jaw line with her long fingernails.

"K-Kaoru... Give her back to me..." Kenshin gritted his teeth as he searched beneath those orange orbs... looking for his cerulean ones. Siva pouted as she tilted her raven head. The charcoal black tail found its way around Kenshin's body as it wrapped around him gently, pulling him nearer.

"Humans will never learn. The only way is to clear them off this surface of earth." Siva whispered as she leaned her head on his broad shoulders. Kenshin's eyes widen as he saw the reminders of those who are alive, alighted new torched and arrows and they started firing towards them. Kenshin was about to do something about it when something strange happened.

All movements stopped as the torch and arrows dropped to the ground extinguished.

He looked away from the humans and stared at the woman in front of him. Her sharp furry orange colored ears, twitched as she turned away from Kenshin and whipped the ground causing debris and stones flying towards the people. Then she took their lives slowly each one at a time. Kenshin couldn't stand it anymore...

"What are you doing?" Siva demanded as Kenshin's grasped around her wrist.

"I won't let you hurt Kaoru anymore." Kenshin answered dangerously low. Confused filled those beautiful eyes.

"What are you talking about?"

"Continue to kill them will hurt Kaoru even more. I won't let that happen. Not when I am witnessing it." Kenshin embraced her from behind tightly. Not allowing her to move.

"Leave and never come back..." Kenshin whispered audibly as the sound traveled to the ears of the villagers. Their limps were brought back down to their sides as they shook from horrified fear.

"Leave and never come back!" Kenshin bellowed fiercely as his amber eyes shone hazardously. The villagers need no more than that as they started scampering around and soon they were out of sight. It was then when Siva trembled slightly in his arms. Afraid of hurting her, he loosened his grip as he turned her body to face him.

"Please... give her back to me..." Kenshin was near pleading. He would do anything to bring back his loved one. Anything. Siva cupped his face as she inched forward to Kenshin till their nose touched each other.

"You are still far from protecting her, little one... Since I have emerged from the depth of that young girl, Renzou will find me and you would have to protect her. Because... if you ever see me again... you won't ever see your beloved again. Just like Kazuma and I..." She hid her face on the crook of Kenshin's neck.

"You smell like Kazuma... Maybe you would create a miracle in this damned world... Maybe you can..." Siva unconsciously said what she thought out loud.

"However... It is still not time for her to surface back. She will when the time comes. For now... let me train you." Siva smirked as Kenshin pulled her back and stared at her as if she was crazy.

Yes. She was powerful indeed! She might even surpass his father already... but she train him?

Siva raised an eyebrow. So this little pup actually looked down on her? She smiled at how naïve he can be.

"You think I'm not good enough? Fine then... Tomorrow, we will do battle. And let's see how far you are from me." Siva said confidently as she walked towards the deeper part of the cave where he and Kaoru had lived.

Kaoru

When can he see her again? How he wished he could devour her wet lips. Touched her, leaving hot trails where he had just touched, wanting her to shout his name... moan... he wanted her restless under him. Restless and wanting more from him.

He already got hard, from the images that were flashing through his mind. Those midnight tresses spearing around the futon... his crimson red hair act as a curtain to his face and hers. "Kenshin... wake up..." a smooth voice rung as a pair of warm hands cupped his face. He groaned, as he wanted more sleep.

"Kaoru..." Kenshin mouthed as he turned on his futon to let his back face her...

Kenshin snapped his eyes opened when he registered that he didn't sleep on a futon yesterday night. Because, Kaoru wasn't there and it would be weird for Kenshin to be sleeping on the futon while Siva had the wall. He whirled to find a skimpy dressed...

Kaoru.

He grabbed her body and crushed it to his.

"I thought I couldn't see you again..." Kenshin whispered as he buried his head into her hair. He allowed his tongue to lick the familiar curve of her silky neck, successfully emitting a moan from her. Slender fingers weaved into his red mane as she stroked it gently and softly. Then, he felt wet hot tears falling onto the crown on his head as it slid down to his cheek. He pulled away from his beloved to find tears glistering around her blue eyes. His calloused hands reached up and wiped her eyes.

"Why the tears Kaoru? We are finally together again..." Kenshin whispered as he kissed those fallen tears away. Kaoru grounded her forehead to the crook of his neck as she sobbed silently.

"Don't ever do that again. You understand me?" Kaoru reprimanded Kenshin softly as his hands moved up and down her back. At once, he knew what she was referring to... the action where he protected her.

"I cannot promise you anything... but I will lay my life for you Kaoru. No matter what you say." Kenshin licked her cheek once again as he tasted the saltiness of the tears. How much he wanted to taste her. Her sweet honey nectar.

Kaoru's finely shaped thighs managed to reveal themselves as she straddled Kenshin's hips while wearing a short yukata. Kenshin smirked evilly. Maybe, he could have a good time. He flipped her over till she was under him.

"Surprise..." Kenshin smirked again as he saw Kaoru blushed under his intense stare. She should get use to it. Kenshin mused as he nuzzled his nose on the cleavage in front of him. She said that being a human I would never understand what's going on." Kaoru's face dropped into a sad frown when she mentioned that part, Kenshin only tightened his embrace.

"But... but I want to learn. I want to help you. That's why we can only meet in our dreams once again, anata. But I promise I will be at your side forever. That's why... trust Siva... and wait for me." Kaoru whispered as she kissed him fully again before bestowing him with a bright smile.

Kenshin snapped his eyes open and the next thing he knew was the disappearance of Kaoru. He stood up in a fluid movement and scanned the whole room. No Kaoru. He cursed silently when he found everything else except for his beloved.

"You had a nightmare or something?" A feminine voice sounded beside him. He whipped his head to find Siva. Then he remembered what exactly happen.

The humans attacked them...

He protected Kaoru...

Kaoru... turning into Siva...

"You are sweating Himura and moaning and groaning. You sure you are fine." Kenshin stood and walked out immediately. He muttered thanks for concern and stride towards the cold waterfall.

He needed a cold-water bath... real bad.

"After your bath, we are battling. Don't bother to change to dry clothes cause we are battling in there." Siva warned as she jumped up to a tree easily and gaze away with those lazy eyes.

Kenshin nodded silently and let the icy water brush through his hot skin. After a few minutes he stepped out of the water and shook himself dry.

"A typical puppy." Siva teased as she flexed her shoulders while receiving a glare from Kenshin. After flexing, one of her hand went up to her furry ears and rub against it in her usual habit.

"A typical kitten." Kenshin smirked. Siva just bowed at the comment and took her position at the end of the waterfall.

"Get to a suitable position within the waterfall Himura, our battle will start now." Siva warned in a stern voice. Kenshin obediently went to the opposite corner and crouch down to a suitable stance. He cracked his knuckles and scrutinized his opponent, her every move. Both of them not making a move. Kenshin had to admit; Siva was good at hiding her emotions.

Siva put a hand over her mouth as she yawned. This little puppy was taking too long. She decided to take the first move. She bent her feet a little and with that momentum she made a pounce on a surprised Kenshin. Kenshin managed to overcome the currents and rolled to the other side avoiding her blow. When Siva came down with one of her hand, the water split open from the impact. Kenshin couldn't really believe what was happening.

She was fast... and very powerful

He swallowed. Siva turned towards him and smiled. Kenshin amber eyes widen in shock. Siva was nowhere to be seen. His eyes couldn't even catch what she had done. Suddenly, a punch came and Kenshin flew to the end of the waterfall. A few cracks could be heard as a repeating blow came for his ribs. Kenshin protruded his claws and slash in front of him. But to no prevail, Siva was too fast.

"Was that all you can do? No wonder you couldn't protect her. If it is like that, then I would do your koneko and parents a little favor by ending your pathetic life." Siva gave Kenshin another kick tumbling to his knees, Kenshin gasp for air.

Was he like what Siva said pathetic? He had trained himself so hard from young. He couldn't just fall... can he? In the first place, why did he fight to be the strongest when he knew he didn't have any royal blood within his veins? Why did he want to push himself so that he had a place in the demon world? What was Battousai? What was he fighting for?

Just then an image of his father ruffling his head was seen.

"Kenshin... it's all within you. You just have to unleash it... by protecting someone you love. That's the secret of getting stronger." A low voice rang. Kenshin amethyst eyes stared at his father large form.

"Protect?" Kenshin asked as he furrowed his eyebrows. His father chuckled and gave his son a pat from the back.

"You'll see. Let's go to the market now." Kenshin gave an eager nod and screwed his face as he made his tail disappear. Though it was uncomfortable, he believed it was worth it. He was getting curious of the human world outside.

He held his father's hand and walked through the immense crowd of people. Afraid of being lost in somewhere he didn't know, he tightened the hold.

"Himura-san? Is that your son? My... what a handsome little lad I must say." Kenshin hid behind his father's leg. His father laughter rumbled again as he patted his head.

"Yes, Kamiya-san. He is my little one. Where's your little daughter?" Kenshin's father asked casually. The uncle visibly paled at the question. As is on cue, a shout was heard.

"Chichiue!!" A sharp voice shouted. Kenshin perked his ears as he narrowed his eyes when he spotted a young girl looking around frantically amongst the people.

"Have fun at the bazaar Himura-san. I-I've to go now." With that, the man had disappeared into the throng of people. His father shrugged his shoulders and pulled Kenshin so that he could catch up with him. However, Kenshin's eyes never left the girl who stood alone in the sea of people bravely, not shedding a tear.

"Protect..." Kenshin whispered to himself as wide navy blue eyes flew to meet his. Their eyes locked for a long moment, none of them able to tear away. In the short moment, he could sense a strong bold aura, yet it brought sadness and confusion.

She would look definitely lovely if she were to smile. Kenshin mused to himself.

"Kenshin? I'm going to get some sake. You wanna come along or are you interested in something else?" Kenshin's father asked as he carried Kenshin in his arms. He knew that Kenshin hated that, because he didn't want to seem weak and vulnerable.

"Oyaji! Put me down!" Kenshin scolded his father as he chuckled allowing his son's small feet meet the musty ground. Kenshin quickly turned to find the girl again. But he could see no one. He was going to find her... and...

"Protect..." Kenshin said out loud without noticing. His father cocked an eyebrow looking at his son's determined eyes.

"Oyaji! Teach me how to fight and defend those I want to protect! I want to be strong!" Kenshin clenched his fist together and some sort of a fire ignited within him.

He was going to find the girl, protect her and make her smile.

Kenshin snapped his eyes wide open.

That was it! He wanted to be the strongest for her! He wanted to protect her... make her smile. Make her safe with him. He stood up and braze of the attack that was coming for him.

He smirked. He could see every move so clearly now. He waited for Siva to come.

"Himura!!" Siva shouted as she launched towards him ready to take his life along with the strong blow. With a newfound strength, Kenshin unleashed a battle cry as he bent his knees using it as a drive to push him up to the air to meet Siva.

Kenshin managed to dodge the hit that was coming for him as he twist Siva's wrist behind her and slam her down to the ground. Siva shut her eyes tight, preparing the backbreaking pain. The rising wind stopped. Siva creaked open an eye seeing a grinning Kenshin.

"I wouldn't want you to get injured just yet. You still have lots to teach me. I need the power and strength. I want to be stronger... for her." Kenshin's crimson bangs hid his pleading eyes. Siva was awed that Kenshin was able to stop the harsh blow just in time. She smiled. This little puppy was strong and swift. It would be easier for her to teach him how to climb to the highest. Her fingers traced his jaw line and tilted his head to meet her orange orbs.

"Very well. You have proven yourself, and a pass is given for your performance. Remember... the secret behind all strong techniques are..."

"To protect the ones you love." Kenshin finished it for Siva. She nodded meekly and got out of the hold.

"Our training starts tomorrow. Get the rest you need." Kenshin sat by the stream as he placed a hand over his injury. He cupped a handful of water and drenched his face with it. Tomorrow was going to be a tough day.

"Kaoru..."

Determination flashed through his amber hues. He was going to be stronger.

Aisuru hito wo mamoru tame ni... tsuyoku naru.

He was going to be stronger for her.

Minna sama… Konnichiwa… Arigatou for those reviews ^^ HAI~ In this chappie ne... Kaoru doesn't come back just yet, cause she and Siva has come to a mutual thought of making Kenshin stronger. Siva being a legendary demon would train him =D hehehe~ I hope that letting Kaoru in Kenshin dream will make a good reunion for all of ya. And the lemon part... was it ok? I'm still doubting myself in that area... do tell me what i should add to make it better. Thanks! And in the bazaar, where Kenshin met Kaoru? Yup... the person that Kenshin's dad was talking to happened to be Kaoru's father. That's when Kenshin started to have the determination to be strong.

Just a note, erm... i see most of you are linking Inuyasha and Kenshin together. Inuyasha has his father's 'daiyoukai' blood within him... sooo partly that was what make him stronger right? Erm... I'm making Kenshin a normal demon... no royal blood. But this normal demon was able to strike a nerve of fear within every demon's knowledge. But still you can't really expect Kenshin to win every fight now... did you? I'm trying my best to show how Kenshin will surpass his father and Siva... and emerging as one of the BEST in the demon's world and created a legend himself.
