Chapter I

Prologue

Meiji, 1883.

For the past four years after the defeat of Kenshin's archenemy Shishio Makoto and vengeful brother in law Yukishiro Enishi, the peaceful country started its own program of early modernization. Since the death of Shishio, the Meiji government carried out researches on Shishio's discovery, oil, and within these short four years, Japan had better electricity generated by burning fuel (oil), which run generators in oil power plants. As a result, more electrical items were invented. Everyone uses the light bulb instead of ancient paper lanterns to light their house up. Communications were made better with Japan creating its own telephone. The Meiji government opened its door to the rest of the world, allowing foreigners to trade with Japan openly. The government had even signed a free trade agreement with America, which enabled both countries to trade freely as they like. The Americans brought in radios they invented not long ago. Soon, radio stations were built and the Japanese had another form of entertainment.

The Americans were a step early than Japan in modernization. They created new stuffs one after and another. Their last invention was the radio. Now, they had just completed their latest creations that they believe they would bring new heights to the entertainment world.

What are these new inventions?

They are musical instruments electric guitars, bass guitars and drums.

America decided to introduce these musical instruments and other sound devices to Japan………
