Twisted Anyone
I'm SO sorry for not updating sooner! its just that well, I had very little inspiration and then my computer decided not to work and I lost everything that I had slowly written (which wasn't really a lot). But we have something new, here, the next chapter.

She didn't know what to do, was Kenshin someone she could trust, or was he just like every man, as her grandmother would put it, "a low life not meant to see the light of day?" Kaoru did not know and it twisted her heart about in her chest this way and that.
Finally she decided to take a walk, but that didn't help either. Every place she passed reminded her of the time Kenshin and she had spent together. The little café where they had their first date, the movie theater, the park, the mall, the museum (which was her suggestion and Kenshin absolutely HATED it), and finally the graveyard. She had no clue as to why she ended up at the graveyard, the place they had finally done "it" at, but she did. And was currently walking the stone pathways of the area with no clear place in mind.
She had barely slept the night before, Kenshin's words floating her mind, making her toss and turn on the sheets in agony. She wanted him to be with her every waking hour, just to make sure he didn't do anything she wouldn't approve of, but she knew they both needed freedom from each other. But how would she be able to keep an eye on him if she wasn't to do that?
"Maybe we should just break up, that way I wouldn't have to worry anymoreand he would fuck anyone he wants," She whispered softly, stopping in her tracks as the words sunk in. Would she be able to do that? Break away from the man who made her feel things she never thought possible before?
No, she doubted that she would ever be able to do so. She loved him more then her own life, and knew she would never be able to love anyone else in the world. All Kaoru wanted was him, and no one else. "But he won't stick to just me, will he?"
The incident in the hall was proof of that, and Kenshin would surely do so again and again. Was she not good enough for him?
Tears filled her eyes as she thought about it. They had been dating for a long time before she finally gave into him and had sex with the red head. Did he think that she was now a "used" product that he didn't want anymore? Then why would he tell her all those things yesterday?
Her body shook at the memory and she started to cry. The tears fell slowly down her face and she realized that Kenshin did want her, but he didn't love heror did he? She didn't know, he never told her his feelings, and she never thought to ask, but always told him her won feelings. Did he love her? Did he have feelings for her?
Shaking her head clear of such thoughts she slowly breathed in and out to calm herself down. It would do her no good to get over worked about nothing. The next time she saw Kenshin she would tell him she wanted to talk, and she would ask him about his feelings, why he had been with Tomoe, and if he would stay loyal to her. Yes, that would be exactly that, but when she would have the chance to talk to him, she didn't know. Kaoru still wanted some time away from him, to get her emotions under control and to forget the scene they made in the hallway.
How could they actually do that in the middle of the hallway? Didn't they care that people could actually walk in and see them?
Sighing, she started to walk again. She was always scared when Kenshin kissed her in public. Always feared that someone would see them and think badly about their showing of affection in public. She rarely saw couples holding hands or kissing out on the street.
"Well, I be, if it isn't Kaoru-chan!" Startled, she turned around to see a young man wearing a pair of black slacks and nice long sleeved shirt of dark blue and short purple hair.
"Kama-kun! Its good to see that you are not wearing a dress," she said in a teasing tone. They had been friends in middle school, before his family moved away. "Why are you in the cemetery?"
"I could ask you the same thing, you know, but I'll answer instead," he gave her a wink as he said so, making Kaoru giggle. "I'm here for some picture of tombstones, for a photography class I'm taking in Osaka. My teacher said he wanted to me take pictures of some pretty unusually things while visiting. He won't let anyone of us go without making us do work."
"Poor baby." Kaoru giggled again, feeling relaxed in his presence. "What brings you to here?"
"Nii-chan is getting married," the words sounded bitter, resentful. Kamatari always liked his stepbrother, Makoto, for some reason Kaoru couldn't understand. Then again, she didn't know why Kamatari enjoyed cross-dressing in the first place. Even though they had been best friends for a long time, she still didn't understand some of the things he did. Which made her think for a moment, why wasn't he wearing a dress? Sure she could recognize him in a dress or pants, with help of the pictures they usually mailed each other, but he would usually wear women's clothing.
"Why aren't you in a dress?" She asked, hoping it would quench her curiosity and the sadness that had formed in his eyes.
"Mom wouldn't let me pack any, for the 'sake of the marriage.'" He imitated his mother's voice at the end, her high shrill that Kaoru always found annoying. "It doesn't help that he's marrying into this nice family of snobs, but the sickening thing is that he really does love her."
Kaoru gasped, Makoto actually loved someone? The man she always knew as Kamatari's brother was rude, and arrogant, and hated children. He was not one to feel weak feelings of love for anyone but himself. She hated him, yes, even more so when it was his father--Kamatari's stepfather--who had them moved to another town. Sure, it was for his job, but Kaoru still hated him for it. But, if Makoto could love, couldn't Kenshin?
"Enough about me, doll, how about you? I hear you've got a nice looking boy-toy, does he have any brothers?" Kaoru gave a small smile with a hurtful laugh.
"No about the brothers, and I'm not really sure anymore if we are dating."
The look on her face must've been sad, as Kamatari wrapped her into a comforting hug. "There, there doll, you tell all your worries to Kama-kun here and you'll feel all better."
"Thank you," Kaoru replied, returning the hug.
Kenshin's blood was boiling. The image before him was simply maddening. Seeing her hugging that other man, and he didn't care if she was friends with him or not, it still gave him no right to hug someone that belonged to him . Following them through the cemetery and out to a café, he continued to watch them, trailing them as he had been trailing Kaoru sense she left her house that morning.
No one would be taking her from him. No one was allowed to do so, and he didn't bother to question as to why he felt so possessive about her. That could be answered later, just as the feeling in his chest--that wasn't going away--would be questioned later. All that mattered was the man Kaoru was talking to.

Well, there, it done. Don't know when the next chapter will be, sadly. This only came cause I was done with it. Hope you all liked it.
