I know that it has been a long time since this story has been updated, but we’re back and now, we have arrived at the third arc of this story and the moment, which it might be some of you, have been waiting for. As you read this arc of the story, you might be finding story elements that I have ‘touched upon’ in Worlds’ Song, but they were only brief ‘points’ to ensure you that this storyline and the Hollow Fragment storyline, of which Worlds’ Song is a part of, ‘parallels’ each other. I think that I have done a good job at that, don’t you? Anyway, we are getting a deeper ‘insight’ into what happened to Suguha/Sailor Celestial between the start of SAO and when she started to play ALO in this fanfiction series. You are going to have to read and find out what I mean, everyone! Within a greatly damaged structure, we find a mysterious male figure, his features cloaked in shadows, facing off against none other than the Legendary Knights of Atlantis, Legendary Knight Timaeus (2800/1800), Legendary Knight Critias (2800/1800), and Legendary Knight Hermos (2800/1800), with a 14-15-year-old Suguha Kirigaya, wearing clothing similar to Mai Valentine’s clothing during her time as a part of Paradis, Dartz’s organization, along with a Neo Domino City style duel disk similar to Akiza’s Duel Disk standing behind the Legendary Knights.

 

The mysterious male figure yells out, darkly, “You can’t win this you traitor!”

 

Suguha responds, strongly, “How can I be a traitor when I was never truly one of you to begin with? You poisoned my mind and used my confusion and anger for your own sick ends! It ends now!”

 

The mysterious male figure has Divine Serpent (Infinity/Infinity) behind him and he says, with a dark sly tone, “You forget that my Divine Serpent’s power is infinite and as long as I have him, I remain in the game even without life-points!”

 

Suguha retorts, with a smirk, “True, but you have to give up ten cards to attack and if you lose your entire deck…game over.”

 

The mysterious male figure retorts, with a dark sly tone, “This duel will be over before then.”

 

Suguha yells out, strongly, “That’s right! It ends right now! Legendary Knights unite!”

 

Legendary Knight Timaeus says, with a nod, “Yes, princess!”

 

The three Legendary Knights start to glow as they combine and the mysterious male figure asks, stunned, “What’s happening?”

 

Suguha responds, “They are forming a power beyond infinity jerk! Meet Timaeus, the Knight of Destiny!” Out of the three Legendary Knights, Timaeus, the Knight of Destiny (?/?) appears in front of everyone in attack mode and Suguha says, putting one card into the spell/trap slots of her duel disk, “And just in case, I activate my Mist Body equip spell to make him indestructible in battle, but that won’t be the case for that snake when he attacks! When my Knight of Destiny attacks, he gains the power of the strongest monster on the field!”

 

The mysterious man yells out, stunned, “No, this can’t be!”

 

Suguha yells out, strongly, “That’s right, you manipulative ass! He is just as powerful as your snake, but your snake is going to be a handbag!” Timaeus’ sword glows and Suguha roars out, “Knight of Destiny, end this duel with your Sword of Justice!” Timaeus slashes Divine Serpent and it gives a mighty hiss before it explodes in a massive explosion causing the whole facility to start to become engulfed in flame as glowing orbs of light start coming out of a nearby wall and fly into the sky. Timaeus, Knight of Destiny turns back into the three Legendary Knights of Atlantis.

 

As multiple explosion starts to engulf the facility, the mysterious man says, with a dark strong and angered tone, “Suguha, I swear…you will pay for this…you are going to pay…!!” Just then the mysterious figure seems to be engulfed in the explosion and flames.

 

Legendary Knight Hermos yells out, “Princess, you must make your escape from here!”

 

Legendary Knight Critias says, “We must go now!” The Legendary Knights then transform into their ‘dragon forms’ and glow as they engulf Suguha and they blast out of the facility before it explodes into flames. A short time later on, Suguha and the three Legendary Knights are looking at the destroyed facility now engulfed in flames.

 

Suguha asks, “Is it over?”

 

Legendary Knight Timaeus says, “It is…for now.”

 

Legendary Knight Critias says, “However, we all thought that it was over when the great Pharaoh Atem used the power of light and seemly finally eliminated the Great Leviathan, but we should have known where there is light, there is darkness. And where there is good, there shall be villainy to oppose it.”

 

Legendary Knight Hermos tells Suguha, “But be not discouraged princess. If it returns, we shall return to aid you and your allies once more.”

 

Suguha asks, “Why do you keep calling me princess?”

 

Legendary Knight Timaeus tells Suguha, “You have not yet awoken to the destiny, but when you do, you will then understand.”

 

Legendary Knight Hermos says, “There is still much that you don’t understand about yourself, but when you do, do not let despair and pain rule over you.”

 

Legendary Knight Critias says, “And that your greatest power comes from your heart and spirit. It may lead you astray at times, but you have a truly noble heart and spirit and it will guild you right in the end.”

 

Suguha says, solemnly, “I’m not sure that I can believe that.”

 

Legendary Knight Timaeus says, “Trust in yourself, trust in your friends, and trust all that you love. It is all that you can do.” Legendary Knight Timaeus says, “We thank you for your help, young princess. For now, we must return to our world and prepare for the day that we are needed again.”

 

Legendary Knight Critias says, “Farewell. Until we meet again.” The Legendary Knights bow before vanishing in which seven cards assemble before Suguha: Timaeus, Knight of Destiny (?/?) Fusion Monster card, Legendary Knight Timaeus (2800/1800) monster card, Legendary Knight Critias (2800/1800) monster card, Legendary Knight Hermos (2800/1800) monster card, and the three Legendary Dragon cards: Eye of Timaeus, Fang of Critias, and Claw of Hermos. The seven cards then glow before they vanish in front in of Suguha’s eyes.

 

May 7, 2026, Tokyo, Kirigaya household

 

Within her own room, a now 17-year-old Suguha Kirigaya is looking at her deck including Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon (2500/2000) Pendulum monster card and she says, “And now, we have met again. Why have you returned? And why have you chosen Rika and Keiko to wield two of you? I really don’t have a good feeling about this.” Suguha then looks out in her window and into the skies which seem to be clear, but Suguha can sense another ‘storm’ coming on the horizon.

 

Sailor Moon Online II: SAO Shippuden

 

(Sword Art Online II music ‘Courage’ starts)

 

As the intro starts, we see images of swords go by and reflected on the blades of the swords are images of Suguha and Leafa with the final reflection from the blades of the sword are Rika, Lisbeth, SAO and ALO forms, Keiko, Silica, SAO and ALO forms, Shion, Sinon, GGO and ALO forms, Kotone, Philia, SAO/SAW and ALO forms, Hiyori, Kuro, and Lux.

 

The next shows Princess Selene then turning into a toddler Suguha Kirigaya, who then ‘ages’ into a 13-year-old Suguha Kirigaya, warping into Suguha Kirigaya of 15-16 years of age, then into Eternal Sailor Celestial, and finally, into Valkyrie Sailor Celestial. As Valkyrie Sailor Celestial turns to the skies to see some unseen sight, Rika, Keiko, Shion/Sailor Orion, Kotone, and Hiyori appear behind her.

 

Just then it turns into images of Ancient Egypt of Atem’s time, Atlantis, the original Domino City, Neo Domino City, and ALO before we see Suguha Kirigaya looking at a ‘shooting star’ before she transforms into Valkyrie Sailor Celestial before facing an unknown figure that uses the Seal of Orichalcos that surrounds her and her enemy.

 

Next, Valkyrie Sailor Celestial and Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze are seen in two separate images which change where Suguha, then Leafa, and finally, Valkyrie Sailor Celestial are using their kendo/sword techniques. Just then Rika/Lisbeth, Keiko/Silica, Shion/Sinon/Sailor Orion, Kotone/Philia, and Hiyori/Lux are seen before we see Valkyrie Sailor Celestial, using her sword techniques, is joined by Naruto, using his famous Shadow Clones and Rasengan, in this ‘fight demonstration’.

 

Then we find Valkyrie Sailor Moon walking slowly forward until she is face to face with Valkyrie Sailor Celestial and the two of them stare at each other before Valkyrie Sailor Celestial brings out Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon (2500/2000) and Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon (2500/2000) with Valkyrie Sailor Moon brings out Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon (2500/2000) and Clearwing Fast Dragon (2500/2000) in which they go into an epic clash with Valkyrie Sailor Moon and Valkyrie Sailor Celestial clashing blades themselves.

 

The scene changes to Davis and Kazuto, looking a lot like his SAO avatar of Kirito, facing off against Naruto with Naruto bring out Red Nova Dragon (3500/3000) and Stardust Chronicle Spark Dragon (3000/2500) while Kazuto brings out Hot Red Dragon Archfiend King Calamity (4000/3500) and Davis brings out Shooting Star Dragon (3300/2500) along with the other Signer and Duel Dragons in which they launch into an epic titanic fight.

 

Just then we see Sailor Celestial, Sailor Orion, Lisbeth, Silica, Philia, and Lux engaged by a legion of opponents including monsters from ALO and Duel Monsters which they fight and defeat, but then a mysterious figure brings out the Divine Serpent used by Dartz, but Sailor Celestial, Lisbeth, and Silica bring out the three Legendary Dragons, Timaeus, Critias, and Hermos, and they transform into their true forms: The Legendary Knights of Atlantis where they defeat the Divine Serpent.

 

Naruto and Sailor Celestial are back to back surrounded by Sakura, Hinata, Rika, Keiko, Sailor Orion, Kotone, and Hiyori as a powerful circle brings for the three Aesir, Thor, Loki, and Odin as well as the three Egyptian God Monsters: Obelisk, Slifer, and Ra in which all of them unleash an incredible attack creating a massive bright light. From that light, Black-Winged Dragon (2800/1600) emerges along with the Crimson Dragon.

 

The scene then switches to images of Yugi Moto, Pharaoh Atem, Seto Kaiba, Joey Wheeler, Dartz, and more before switching to our heroes and heroines with images of Neo Domino City, Aincrad/SAO, ALO, the Elemental Countries including the Leaf Village, and more as images of Suguha and Naruto from childhood into their current years are seen before Suguha turns into Valkyrie Sailor Celestial and the two of them look into the distance.

 

Finally, we have different scenes where we see Naruto training and mastering the Rasengan, Leafa flying through the virtual skies of ALO, Serena becoming Sailor Moon for the first time, and leading to a scene with all of our heroes and heroines, joined by Naruto, Sakura, and Hinata, racing towards some kind of unknown destination in which it finally stop at all of them assembled together flanked by Earth, Atlantis, and the Leaf Village in the background along with the Legendary Dragons/Knights, the Signer and Duel Dragons, the Aesir, and Egyptian God Monsters.

Arc III: Chapter 1: A Nightmare’s Return

 

May 7, 2026, Tokyo, Juuban District

 

Within the Juuban District, a young lady with shoulder-length black hair and her outfit mainly covered by a grey hooded cloak with us only able to see her hair, Yuuko is her name, is observing the streets and looking repair crews and cleanup crews in which, she walks along until she is sees a television that’s showing the news with a subtitle below the reporter shown on the screen with the words: ‘Ordinal Scale: The Second Sword Art Online?!’

 

Yuuko continues to walk along and she hears one person saying, a guy, “Man! What a piece of work!”

 

Another person, a woman, asks, “Didn’t they check out that company and all of its personal beforehand?”

 

The first person, the guy, responds, “You think that they would do that after SAO? Geez!”

 

A third person, another male, says, “What I heard is that after Sword Art World Incident and ‘bad press’ to anyone that bad-mouthed VRMMO, there were those in the government that were desperate looking for any ‘replacement’ to Full-Dive technology and they sped up the process of being approved without being so checked.”

 

The first person says, “It’s a government conspiracy!”

 

The third person says, “Well, Augma is going the way of the NervGear.”

 

The second person, the woman, says, “They are going back to the Amusphere and Full-Dive technology. Not surprising since we ‘learned our lesson’ from SAO.”

 

The third person says, “Not bloody likely. There are always going to be nutjobs like Kayaba and that other guy…You know, the one that trapped three hundred SAO survivors in ALO when it was part of RCT Progress.”

 

The first person says, “Dude, don’t remind me. Part of me feels that it is sicker than SAO!”

 

The second person says, “It was a good thing that the Sailor Scouts were around.”

 

The third person says, nodding his head, “No joke.”

 

The first person says, “Yeah, they rock! Especially Sailor Moon!”

 

The second person says, “I wonder what happened to her. She was amazing heroine before, but now, she seems a bit more…hard-core.”

 

The first person says, “Guess it has to match that ‘new gear’ that she is wearing.”

 

The third person says, “They call it a ‘Valkyrie Sailor Scout’ form.”

 

The second person asks, curiously, “Valkyrie?”

 

The first person says, “It is based on Norse mythology. Valkyries are female war goddesses that takes the souls of worthy noble warriors and bring them to Valhalla, the warrior’s paradise, and prepares for the Norse ‘end of days’: Ragnarok.”

 

The third person asks, surprised, “Didn’t know that you were an expert?”

 

The first person says, “Mythology major. Why do you think that I like MMO games based on mythology dude? Geez! Anyway, I’ve got to admit that the name fits especially for their newest Sailor Scout.”

 

The second person says, with a nod of her head, “Yeah, Sailor Celestial. She is just…incredible. People say that she is the strongest of the Sailor Scouts now.”

 

The third person says, “Maybe no wonder Sailor Moon ‘armored up’.”

 

Yuuko walks away from the people and she says, lowly and to herself, “Fools. The people that you praise are the people that caused so much death and chaos. However, that will change.” Yuuko looks up into the sky and she says, “You and your cursed power will be purged and a new paradise will be born.”

 

May 7, 2026, Tokyo, Odiaba District

 

Within the Odiaba District of Tokyo, our Digidestined of Light and Sailor Senshi of the Sun, Hikari ‘Kari’ Kamiya, age 18-19, on the roof of her apartment and looking out into the distance when she yelps as she is hugged from behind by her boyfriend, Daisuke ‘Davis’ Motomiya, age 18-19, Digidestined of Miracles and Life, reincarnation of the heir of the Solaris Kingdom, the origin of Kari’s powers as Sailor Sun, while Kari’s and Davis’ Digimon partners, Veemon and Gatomon are behind them.

 

Kari tells Davis, in a chiding tone, “Dai-kun!”

 

Davis tells Kari, in a loving teasing tone, “Miss me?”

 

Davis and Kari share a kiss and Kari asks Davis, with a smile, “What am I going to do with you?”

 

Davis responds, with a smirk, “I have a few ideas.”

 

Kari says, with a giggle, “Hentai!”

 

Davis tells Kari, “That’s ‘Prince Hentai’ to you.”

 

Gatomon says, shaking her head with a smirk, “Your partner is the same as ever.”

 

Veemon says, with a smile, “Yeah.”

 

After their ‘romantic moment’, Davis and Kari look out into the city and Davis says, “Man! It is a real pain with all this homework.”

 

Kari tells Davis, “Well, we can’t go to class since what happened.”

 

Davis says, “No kidding. It wasn’t our fault. Why should we pay for what those stinkers do? What a pain.”

 

Kari tells Davis, “Dai-kun…”

 

Davis responds, “I know! I know!”

 

Kari says, with a sigh, “What an adventure. I guess that Kazuto’s and Serena’s feeling were right.”

 

Davis tells Kari, “I hope that Serena and Suguha aren’t too ‘hung up’ on it like with what happened in GGO. Even through Kayaba and Sugou were ‘one in a million’, this planet does have close to one dozen BILLION people after all, so, there are chances for another one of those.”

 

Kari tells Davis, with a smile and a nod, “Yeah, but we wish that there weren’t.”

 

Davis says, nodding his head, “No joke. However, like it or not, it is what we are here for.”

 

Gatomon asks, “No kidding. If we don’t do something, who will?”

 

Kari says, with a sigh, “Yes. I guess that saying is right: ‘Evil wins when good people do nothing’.”

 

Davis says, plainly, “Not my thing.” Kari nods her head and smiles at her boyfriend.

 

Veemon asks, “I wonder: How are Serena, Suguha, Kazuto, and Serena’s brother?”

 

Kari says, “They must have a lot going through their minds.”

 

Davis says, “Serena’s boyfriend too.”

 

Gatomon says, “Meeting an ‘evil counterpart’ that betrayed his version of your girlfriend, betraying everything that he and even we believe in, and sending her to her death might do that to you. However, he has got to remember that ‘he’ may be another version of him, but ‘he’ isn’t him. Darien is himself and his ‘counterpart’ is another version of him, but another person.”

 

Kari says, nodding her head, “I agree, Gatomon.”

 

Davis says, with a smirk, “I doubt that it will put a strain on their relationship.”

 

Kari says, “True, but what happened between him and his counterpart…”

 

Davis says, with a nod, “Don’t remind me. Physically, the guy is just fine, but emotionally…”

 

Kari says, “He had to see her trapped in SAO, go through ‘emotional up and downs’, and now, our last adventure…”

 

Davis says, “It was a headache for us all, Kari-chan. I just hope that sis, Tai, and the others won’t suffer any ‘relapses’ like we did.”

 

Kari says, “They’re strong, Dai-kun.”

 

Davis tells Kari, with a smile, “I know, Kari-chan.” Davis and Kari share a passionate and loving kiss and Gatomon was giving a look that says ‘get a room’.

 

May 7, 2026, Tokyo, Juuban District, Cherry Hill Shrine

 

Right now, we are on the ground of Cherry Hill Shrine, the Shinto Shrine home of our Sailor Scout of War and Flames, we find Raye Hino in a martial arts garb and training.

 

Just then a familiar female voice shouts out, “Training hard or hardly training?” Raye gives an annoyed look as Mina Aino AKA Sailor Venus and Lita Kino AKA Sailor Jupiter arrive on the scene.

 

Raye says, annoyed, “Funny, Mina. Remind me put your skirt on fire.”

 

Mina says, with a grin, “Too bad that my skirt is now armored like yours.”

 

Lita says, “It feels pretty amazing that all of us became Valkyrie Sailor Scouts around the same time.”

 

Raye says, with a plain tone, “Yeah, we have got awesome new powers…”

 

Lita says, with a solemn sigh, “We know, Raye. We know.”

 

Mina says, with a sigh, “What a headache…”

 

Lita tells Mina, “It was more than a ‘headache’, Mina-chan.”

 

Mina asks, “How do you think that Serena’s brother is doing?”

 

Raye says, “Based on what Ami-chan told us, he hasn’t suffered any effects or ‘contamination’ by his new powers.”

 

Mina says, “Well, they are based on powers created for superheroes after all.”

 

Raye says, “While that’s true, they were replicated by wicked forces in order to battle us like…our ‘doppelgangers’.”

 

Lita says, with a groan, “Don’t remind me about them. I’m still feeling the beating that they gave me.”

 

Mina says, rubbing her back, “Yeah…Ouch!”

 

Raye says, “And that’s why we need to step up our training, girls! We have to be ready for anything. Relaxing in peace doesn’t mean that we get to be complacent.”

 

Mina says, with a solemn sigh, “We know, Raye. Just when you think you’ve kicked butt, another ass comes up.”

 

Raye says, “We don’t know how many remnants of UNI-SHOCKER there are and there is still the Dark Agency.”

 

Lita asks, “Do you think that sending Sammy’s counterpart back home is a good idea?”

 

Raye tells Lita, “With their operations done here, they are going to focus on their world. His Earth is going to need their hero Lita.”

 

Mina says, with a smile, “Thankfully, with the knowledge of their operations, we’ll be on their asses hard.”

 

Lita tells Mina, “True, Mina-chan, but we can’t underestimate them.”

 

Raye says, “That’s right.”

 

Mina asks Raye, “You are upset over what happened with Serena, aren’t you?”

 

Raye responds, her body shivering, “Upset…Why would I be upset?” Raye yells out, angrily, “No, I’m not upset…I’m downright beyond pissed off! If that fucking fiend that pretended to be a Kami wasn’t already dead, I would fry him body and soul myself!”

 

Lita says, with a serious expression, “All of us are upset by what he did, Raye. But he got what he deserved in the end.”

 

Raye says, “After a major ‘pain in the neck’ and that’s being nice in a major way.” Raye sighs and she says, “Meatball Head had finally started to ‘recover’ from SAO ever since we ended GGO and she got back from the future to help save her future self. And then all this with UNI-SHOCKER, Ordinal Scale, and…sick perverted…hypocritical…”

 

Mina says, with a sigh, “She isn’t the only one. Both of our Moon Princesses got it in a ‘bad way’.”

 

Lita says, with a solemn tone, “It is a miracle that neither of them really ‘cracked’.”

 

Raye says, “Well, it shows that they are really tough.” Raye says, with a stern tone, “And that’s why we need to get stronger. We are the guardians of the Lunarian royal family and we need to start to act like it. We need to get stronger and better.” Mina and Lita can’t help to feel that Raye has a point.

 

May 7, 2026, Tokyo, Kirigaya household

 

Within the Kirigaya household within the area of Kawagoe, we go into their private dojo, Suguha Kirigaya, in a training hakama, is practicing her kendo against a training dummy and she is training extensively, but she is training so hard and pushing herself and her equipment to the limits in which she swings so hard that she splits the training dummy in half and breaks it her Shinai in half.

 

Suguha says, annoyed, “Darn it.” She throws it to the ground and turns to the right only to see her brother at the door.

 

Kazuto says, with a smile, “He must have gotten you pissed off Sugu.”

 

Suguha yelps in surprise and she yells out, “What the?! Kazuto, when did you get here?!”

 

Kazuto responds, a bit surprised, “I’ve been here for a while. I’m surprised that you didn’t sense me like usual.”

 

Suguha replies, “Really?” Suguha shakes her head and she says, “I-I must be getting rusty.”

 

Kazuto replies, his eyes narrowing, “No, you were really focused on something.”

 

Suguha says, with a nervous smile, “Really, I’ve had a lot on my mind lately.”

 

Kazuto retorts, with a serious tone, “You’ve…We’ve had a ton to be thinking about lately.”

 

Suguha says, nervously, “Big brother…”

 

Kazuto tells Suguha, “Sugu, don’t give me that.”

 

Suguha responds, with the shrug of the shoulders, “Okay. Okay, you win.”

 

Kazuto tells Suguha, concerned, “Are you really okay, Sugu?”

 

Suguha responds, “No, I’m not okay. This whole thing with Augma, Ordinal Scale, UNI-SHOCKER, and…” Suguha’s right hand tightens so much that she breaks the handle of her already damaged Shinai into pieces. Suguha’s breathing gets heavier and she says, “My counterpart, my sister, Ange, and even me…that son of a bitch…he…he…” Just then images of a terrified Serena Tsukino come into Suguha’s mind and those images are replaced with memories of feelings immense inhuman pain and agony that no human could come close to endure for long causing her whole body starts to shake.

 

Kazuto rushes over, hugs his younger step-sister/cousin from two lifetimes, and he says to her, reassuring tone in his voice, “Calm down! Calm down, Sugu!” Suguha looks at Kazuto, looks at his eyes, and he says, in a reassuring tone, “He’s dead. That fucking fiend is dead, Sugu. You, your counterpart, Ange, and all of us…We made sure of that. He will never hurt anyone else ever again. Please, Sugu, calm down.” Suguha’s breathing slows down and her body slowly stops shaking until it stops completely.

 

Suguha shakes her head and she says, gently pushing Kazuto away, “Okay! Okay! I’m not a little girl, big brother!” Suguha then says, with a glare, “And you know it! You’ve had over a year to get used to my ‘older self’, Kazuto.”

 

Kazuto says, with a smile, “Yeah, I guess that I can’t use that excuse anymore.” Kazuto then says, with a serious tone, “But you have been through something that would make a lot of women…”

 

Suguha responds, with a sigh, “Okay, big brother, I get it. I’ll take it easy.”

 

Kazuto says, “Thank you, Sugu.” Suguha then heads back inside of the main house and changing out of her training hakama into basic shirt and shorts in which she sits down in a chair in front of her desk where her dueling deck is and she looks over all of her cards especially her Black Rose Moonlight Dragon (2400/1800) Synchro Monster card, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon (2500/2000), Pendulum Monster card, Enlightenment Paladin (2500/2000) Synchro Monster card, and finally, a more recent card, Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon (2500/2000) XYZ Monster card.

 

Suguha thinks in her mind, “I couldn’t tell big brother, but it wasn’t only our recently adventure that has been ‘bugging’ me.” Suguha thinks in her mind, looking through her Duel Monster cards, “It has been over a year since that day. Now, I know why they called me princess. Somehow, the knights knew the truth about me. I’m not sure if I can do what they wished me to do. And now, they have returned and chosen Rika and Keiko to wield them. Why? When we destroyed their headquarters, we had beaten their leader. The threat is over…No, the threat was over. The knights knew that this wouldn’t be the end and maybe, I will have to face up to what I did.” As Suguha looks over her cards, she looks at her Red-Eyes Black Dragon (2400/2000) Monster card, Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon (2400/2000) Monster card, Lord of the Red (2400/2100) Ritual Monster card, and Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon (2800/2400) XYZ Monster card.

 

May 7, 2026, Tokyo

 

Heading into another part of Tokyo, we are inside of the home, Keiko Ayano, age 16, as she is looking through her Duel Monsters’ deck while her brown and white cat, Pina, leaps onto the table.

 

Keiko says, “Hello, Pina.” Keiko gently pets Pina and she then looks at her Fang of Critias Legendary Dragon card and she thinks in her mind, “Why did I get this card? I’m not special. Well, I’m not like Kirito-san and especially not like Serena-san and Suguha-san. They are just incredible and I’m…I’m not. Sure, I was a big help in getting Kirito…Kazuto-san Excalibur on our quest in Jotunheimr, but I’m only really good in the virtual world through I’m nothing like Klein-san, Asuna-san, and the other former Assault Team members like Kirito-san. And Serena-san and Suguha-san are Sailor Scouts…They are real heroes.” Keiko sighs and she thinks in her mind, “I hope that they are okay. They went through a lot after what happened recently.”

 

Elsewhere in Tokyo, Rika Shinozaki, age 18, is also looking through her cards in which she is looking at the Claw of Hermos card and she thinks, “Man, it has been a wild several weeks, but then again, when is life ‘normal’ for us? Ever since ‘that’, life for us has never been ‘normal’. But then again, what happened during the past several weeks was quite ‘over the top’ even for us! And quite a few of us got suffered a real ‘headache’. And something tells me that things are just only going to get stranger and more intense than ever.”

 

May 7, 2026, Tokyo, Juuban District

 

Now, we head back into the Juuban District where we are in the apartment of Darien Shields AKA Tuxedo Mask/Prince Endymon where we find Serena Tsukino, age 19 and our current Sailor Senshi of the Moon as well as reincarnated Moon Princess, talking on the phone with someone.

 

Serena says, concerned, “I see, Molly.”

 

Over the receiver of the phone, Molly Baker, Serena’s childhood friend before she became Sailor Moon and Sailor Nebula, responds, “Based on reports, the remnants have moved to a base around the Hiroshima area.”

 

Serena asks, curiously, “Why there?”

 

Molly responds, “There may be more ‘aftereffects’ of the atomic bomb than the world really knows. Hiroshima seemed to have ‘irregularities’ and the atomic bomb caused a ‘mutation’ to start there.”

 

Serena says, nervously, “Oh, boy. This is starting to sound like a horror flick.”

 

Molly says, “Or a science fiction flick, Serena. They must have found about that ‘mutation’ in Hiroshima and had plenty ‘invested’ already.”

 

Serena asks, “So, Sammy is going there?”

 

Molly says, “Yeah. Your mom was quite vocal about it.”

 

Serena says, “For good reasons, Molly! That squirt of a brother of mine…!!”

 

Molly tells Serena, “Serena, he isn’t a little kid anymore! Just like you aren’t a ‘little girl’ anymore.”

 

Serena says, “But he has no experience at fighting super-powered evil forces…”

 

Molly retorts, interrupting, “Did you Serena when you first became Sailor Moon?”

 

Serena says, nervously, “Well…”

 

Molly replies, with a sly tone, “I thought so.” Molly then says, with a sigh, “Anyway, if it makes you feel better, I’m going along with him to be his ‘guardian’ of sorts.”

 

Serena asks, surprised, “Really?”

 

Molly says, “Yep. I’ll keep an eye on him. I’ve also got ‘business’ over there.”

 

Serena responds, “Business, huh? Molly, you are becoming an SSI…Sailor Scout Investigator.”

 

Molly giggles and replies, “I guess so.”

 

Serena tells Molly, “Just keep an eye on him, okay? I’m just worried about him. He may be a squirt, but he is my brother after all.”

 

Molly says, “I’m sure that Sammy will be fine. It is you that I’m worried about.”

 

Serena says, “Molly…”

 

Molly tells Serena, “Don’t give me that Serena! You went through something…unspeakable!”

 

Serena says, “Well…” Serena’s breathing quickens slightly and her eyes become wide as she remains sensations of unspeakable levels of pain and…pleasure.

 

Molly asks, “Serena?”

 

Serena shakes her head and she responds, nervously, “Oh, I’m sorry! I guess that I ‘spaced out’!”

 

Molly doesn’t say anything for a few second and she responds, “All right, I’ll give you that one. However, you need to take it easy for a while. This whole thing really put all of us through a ‘ringer’, but especially you and Suguha.”

 

Serena responds, with a weak smile, “I’ll try, Molly.”

 

Molly tells Serena, “Do or do not. There is no try, my princess.”

 

Serena retorts, with a sarcastic tone, “Ha. Ha. I don’t think that Yoda would appreciate that copyright.”

 

Molly says, with a giggle, “I think that he would be flattered by my ‘performance’ Serena.” Soon after, the two of them share a giggle as Serena hangs up the phone and she rubs herself. On the meanwhile, Darien Shields AKA Tuxedo Mask/Prince Endymon, age 23-24, is in a shower and looking at himself in a mirror. In his mind, he is remembering when he is looking at some kind of ‘evil duplicate’ version of himself.

 

Darien thinks in his mind, “Could I go that far? Could I let my love for my Meatball Head turn into obsession and end up like my counterpart did?” He tries to tell himself ‘no’ for both of those questions, but that ‘nagging feeling’ still gets to him.

 

May 7, 2026, Tokyo, Unknown location

 

Yuuko is surrounded by a group of people, whose features are hidden by shadows, and she looks at them with unemotional expression on her face.

 

She asks, “Are the preparations complete?”

 

One of the people responds, in a female voice, “Yes, my lady.”

 

Yuuko replies, “You may begin the operation.”

 

The people reply in unison, in a legion of male and female voices, “Yes, my lady!”

 

The group of people fade into the shadows and Yuuko says, looking at a holographic screen showing a news report about Sailor Celestial, “They think that you are some kind of hero, Suguha? I will show the worlds and your precious friends and family who and what you truly are. And then you will realize that there is no place for you in the light.”

 

May 8, 2026, Neo Domino City, Kaiba Dome

 

Today, we are in Neo Domino City where we are inside of the Kaiba Dome and our heroes and heroines are together with a good number of them having duel disks strapped to the left wrists.

 

Davis yells out, “Man! It is a real party today!”

 

Tai says, “Not surprising, Davis. This tournament is to celebrate the activation of the new Real Solid Vision system.”

 

Izzy says, “If this works, it will revolutionize the game of Duel Monsters like Turbo Dueling did.”

 

Lita says, with a smile, “I heard that Yusei-san is being called the ‘next Seto Kaiba’.”

 

Amara says, with a plain tone, “Too bad that he didn’t actually design the Real Solid Vision system. He just completed it.”

 

Serena gives a solemn sigh and Kazuto says, trying to change the subject, “True, Amara. Yusei-san is the only one who could do it. It was his family that designed the Ener-D system after all.”

 

Sora says, “Don’t forget that it isn’t just the Real Solid Vision system that’s changing Duel Monsters.”

 

Yolei says, with a smile, “Yeah! Pendulum Monsters and Pendulum Summon has just become main stream.”

 

Keiko asks, curiously, “How come since only Serena and Suguha had Pendulum Monsters were Industrial Illusions able to replicate them?”

 

Raye says, “It isn’t too surprising since both Meatball head and his ‘royal sister’ used them so much that Industrial Illusions managed to get a good look at them and they were able to replicate Pendulum cards.”

 

Serena says, nervously, “Well, they are mainstream in the future that I went to, so, they had to have started sometime.”

 

Davis tells Serena, “Well, girls, it is sorry to say that Pendulum Summoning just doesn’t belong to you anymore.”

 

Suguha says, with a grin, “We welcome a challenge, Davis. Serena and I wouldn’t be real duelists if we didn’t.”

 

Serena says, with a plain tone, “Plus, we are improving our decks all the time.”

 

Asuna says, “Come on, everyone! Let’s get ready!” Soon enough, the tournament is under way and the mayor of Neo Domino City, Lazar, steps onto the stage and starts talking into the microphone.

 

Lazar says, into the microphone magnifying his voice, “Hello, everyone! Welcome to Neo Domino City! I am your number mayor, Lazar, and this is indeed a wonderful day! As you know, Duel Monsters was created by Maxamillion Pegasus that took off when Seto Kaiba created the Solid Vision dueling system that made the game ‘come alive’ especially with the duel disk. A portable dueling system that allowed you to play anytime and anywhere with a realistic holographic system that could even replicate the ‘smell’ of the monsters. Duel Monsters turned into the number one game where there are schools for dueling and with the invention of Turbo Duels and Duel Runners, duels went from static into mobile games, and now, Duel Monsters is once again evolving to a whole new level. Imagine if you could actually ride the monsters that you actually summon? Basically, instead of just VERY realistic holograms, you can, in a way, summon SOLID monsters that you can touch, feel, and even ride on! Impossible, correct?! WRONG! Thanks to a genius of one of the world greatest duelists of today, the son of inventor of Neo Domino City’s Ener-D system, the ‘impossible’ have become possible! Today, this is the launch of the Real Solid Vision system: The ARC Reactor!” Just then the floor opens up and a device that looks like two large orbs with multiple projection devices on it with a tube connecting the two orbs appears and Lazar says, “This is the ARC Reactor, the core of the Real Solid Vision system, and the beginning of the next generation of dueling! And now, the creator of ARC Reactor, the son of the creator of the Ener-D reactor, and the winner of the Fortune Cup and leader of the legendary Team 5Ds himself: Yusei Fudo!” Coming onto the stage is none other than Yusei Fudo, joined by Jack Atlas, Crow Hogan, Akiza Izinski, Leo, and Luna, the sister of Leo, and all of them approach Lazar.

 

As they do so, Yusei says, with a sigh, “He really has to make this a big event.”

 

Crow tells Yusei, “Because this is a big event, Yusei! Duh!”

 

Jack tells Yusei, with a grin, “That’s right, Yusei! This is your big time! Live it up a little!” Jack then slaps Yusei in the back and he yelps as he stumbles forward.

 

Lazar tells Yusei, with a smirk, “Now, Yusei, people are watching you know!”

 

Yusei says, a bit nervously, “Right.”

 

Jack gives a wide grin and Crow asks Jack, “You are liking this, aren’t you?”

 

Jack responds, with a sly smirk, “Now, what makes you say that?” Soon enough, Yusei gives out his speech talking about his father, Professor Fudo, and his experiences. Afterwards, Yusei demonstrates the Real Solid Vision or ARC Reactor system with him and Jack summoning their ace monsters, Stardust Dragon and Red Dragon Archfiend, in which the two of them actually get on their dragons and ride them as they fly around the stadium much to shock, joy, and/or amazement of practically everyone in the stadium in which wild cheers.

 

When they were done, Yusei says, “The ARC Reactor promises to be the next evolution of dueling especially with the new form of dueling that Jack, Crow, and I are working with Industrial Illusion and Kaiba Corporation! It is known as the Action Duel!”

 

That gets the attention of everyone in the audience and Yusei motions for Jack to come over in which he does so, takes the microphone, and he says, “That’s right, everyone! Basically, it is like Turbo Dueling without the Duel Runners! With ARC Reactor system giving ‘holograms’ real mass, you can make any ‘solid body’, monster, fields, or cards! Action Duels will take place on what’s known as Action Fields, specialized field spells, where the duelists will duel with their heart and souls for you, but they won’t be standing around like the ‘Standing Duels’ of the past. Like I said, Action Duels are like Turbo Duels without the Duel Runners! You are going to be racing around these fields or just like Yusei and I just did, riding on your favorite monsters as you work together to defeat your opponents in action packed duels to the extreme! This is going to be the next level of dueling and my friends, especially Yusei and I, are going to take it to the next level! Now, who is with me? Who wants to go into the action packing future of dueling?!” There are cheers from the audience and cheering Jack’s and Yusei’s names.

 

Crow says, with a smile, “Jack really knows how to get a crowd excited.”

 

Akiza says, with a nod, “Yeah. He hasn’t changed a bit.”

 

Crow asks Akiza, with a smirk, “By the way, Akiza, when are you and Yusei going to bring out ‘Yusei Junior’?”

 

Akiza gives a mad blush and she yells out, angrily, “Crow!”

 

Crow responds, with a teasing tone, “I’m just saying!”

 

Luna says, with a sigh, “Geez, Crow.”

 

Jack shouts out, “Now, let’s get this tournament started! Who’s with me?”  There is more cheering from the audience and Jack gives a proud smile at his own ‘showman skills’. Afterwards, the tournament beings in which Mina uses her Toon deck to defeat her opponent while Davis used a combination of his Elemental Heroes and Signer Dragons for his duel. But now, it is Suguha’s turn as she gets onto the stage.

 

Lazar shouts out into the microphone, “And here is Kirigaya-san’s opponent: Mike Osuzumebachi!” Suguha’s opponent is teenaged male of around her age with short black hair, blue eyes with grey rimmed glasses in front of them, and he has a cloak covering all of his body minus his head.

 

With the others, they are confused by the clock covering much of Mike and Rika asks, confused, “What’s with the cloak?”

 

Amara says, “I don’t like it. That just screams trouble.”

 

Serena says, “I hope not.” However, Serena and plenty of the others get a ‘bad feeling’ along with Suguha as she activates her duel disk causing her deck to be shuffled while the ‘energy blade’ containing her disk’s Pendulum and Monster Zones appear while the touch screen of her disk display 4000 life-points for her.

 

Suguha asks, curiously, “What’s with cloak?”

 

Mike gives a sly and also, unnerving, smirk and he says, “Well, I didn’t want to ruin the surprise.” Mike then sheds the cloak revealing lime blue jacket over a green sleeveless vest, blue jeans, brown walking shoes, and attached to his left wrist is what looks like a Chaos Duel Disk used by the members of Paradius in which Mike immediately activates much to the shock of Suguha.

 

Keiko asks, confused, “What kind of duel disk is that?”

 

Mina says, with a nod, “It doesn’t look like the Real Solid Vision duel disks or even the older versions of the duel disk.”

 

TK says, nodding his head, “Yeah.” However, the sound of someone leaping out of their seat is heard and Hotaru looks in which her eyes widen in surprise as she sees Trista not in her seat anymore.

 

Hotaru asks, confused, “Trista-mama?” Soon after, the others notice that Trista is no longer in her seat.

 

Shion says, looking towards the stage, “I think that I know where she is going.”

 

Darien says, with a serious tone, “Now, I really don’t like this.”

 

Back on the stage, Suguha asks, stunned, “Where did you get that duel disk?” Yusei, Jack, and Crow gain suspicious looks seeing Suguha’s reaction to Mike’s duel disk.

 

Mike says, with a sly smirk, “I’m not surprised that you would know about this duel disk, Suguha-san.” Mike draws five cards while his disk duel displays 4000 life-points for him and he says, with a sinister sly smile, “My boss knows all about you after all. You and she were friends after all.”

 

Suguha says, shocked, “No…”

 

Lazar yells out, “Now, start the duel!”

Suguha shouts out, concerned, “Hold on a second!” Yusei and his friends give surprised looks by Suguha shouting out

 

Mike says, drawing a card, “You aren’t getting out of this one!” Mike looks at the card that he draws, smirks evilly, and yells out, putting one card into the Field Spell Slot of his disk, “I play this! My Seal of Orichalcos!” Just then Mike’s duel disk glows eerie and a bright, eerie green light surrounds Suguha and Mike causing a slight shockwave.

 

Leo asks, confused, “What the heck?!”

 

Luna says, nervously, “I’ve got a bad feeling about this.”

 

Akiza says, nervously, “So do I, Luna.” Soon enough, a green evil magic circle with a pentagram surrounds Suguha and Mike and a smaller version of said magic circle appears on Mike’s forehead with an evil red glow in his eyes.

 

Leo says, nervously, “I don’t think that’s supposed to happen.”

 

Jack says, seriously, “Neither do I!” Jack looks at Lazar, who has a stunned look, and he yells out, “Hey! What do you think that you are doing?! Stop the duel at once!”

 

Lazar gives a surprised look and he responds, nervously, “R-Right!”

 

Mike shouts out, “I don’t think so, Jack-dono! My power has locked you out of your systems!”

 

Just then one of the personal shouts out, “Lazar-sama, we’ve been locked out!”

 

Lazar shouts out, stunned, “What?!”

 

Leo asks, shocked, “Don’t tell me that we are dealing with evil magic or something like that!”

 

Luna says, “I think that’s exactly what’s happening, Leo.”

 

Crow says, “Here we go, again.” On meanwhile, the rest of our heroes and heroines have left their seats to head for the stage while Trista arrives on the stage.

 

Suguha shouts out, “Do you know what you have done?!”

 

Mike says, with a sinister sly smile, “I know exactly what I did. This isn’t personal by the way. I’m just following orders.”

 

Suguha yells out, “From the looks of it, you don’t know how dangerous this card really is? You lose this duel, you’ll lose your soul!” Trista is quite surprised that Suguha is knowledgeable about the Seal of Orichalcos.

 

Mike says, putting one card on his duel disk, “The only one in danger of losing their soul is you. And now, I play my Vampiric Leech!” Vampiric Leech (500/1200) appears on the field in attack mode and Mike says, “And thanks to the Orichalcos, it gains five hundred attack points!” The ‘sigil’ on Mike’s forehead appears on Vampiric Leech causing it to go from 500/1200 to 1000/1200 and Mike says, “And now, direct attack!” Vampiric Leech lashes out with its tentacles that slam into Suguha and she yelps as she is sent flying onto a ‘wall’ that sends her flying back inwards as she loses 1000 life-points.

 

There are gasps of shock and Crow says, “It’s official. We are dealing with ‘evil magic’ here.”

 

Jack retorts, sarcastically, “What was your first clue, Crow?” Jack tells Yusei, “Yusei, activate the ARC Reactor! Maybe our monsters can break through!” Yusei isn’t sure, but he decides to do it anyway.

 

As Suguha struggles back to her feet, Mike says, discarding one card from his hand, “Next, I discard one card from my hand to switch Leech to defense mode.” Vampiric Leech switches from attack to defense mode and Mike says, putting three cards into the main slot of his disk, “And then I place three cards face-down and end my turn.”

As the others arrive on the stage, Kazuto yells out, “Sugu!”

 

Kazuto steps forward towards Suguha and Mike in which Trista says, “No, Kazuto! There is nothing that you can do!”

 

Asuna asks, “How do you know?”

 

Suguha says, “Trista is right, big brother. There is nothing that you can do. This evil magic circle can’t be broken until this duel is over!”

 

Mina asks, confused, “How do you know that?” Suguha ignores Mina as she draws five cards from her deck and she then draw another card from her deck.

 

Mike tells Suguha, pushing a button on his duel disk, “Sorry, Kirigaya-san, but I activate my Gamble trap card!” Mike’s face-down card is revealed to be the Gamble trap card and Mike says, “Since you have six cards and I have none, I can flip a coin and if that coin lands on heads, I get five new cards.”

 

Suguha says, seriously, “Yes, but if it lands on tails, you lose a turn.” A coin appears and goes through the air in which it lands on the ground on tails.

 

Mike says, pushing another button on his disk and he says, “Too bad for you since I play my Probability Change trap card!” Mike’s next face-down card is revealed to be the Probability Change trap card and Mike says, “Due to this card, I can redo a dice roll or coin toss, but this time, the same result WON’T happen.” Suguha snarls as the coin toss is done, again, but this time, it lands on heads and he draw five cards. Mike says, with a grin, “We’ve studied you quite closely and we know your deck quite well.”

 

Suguha says, with a smirk and putting one card on her duel disk, “Oh, then you should know that I’m playing The Phantom Knights of Ragged Gloves in attack mode.” Just then The Phantom Knights of Ragged Gloves (1000/500), an armored ‘specter’ like monster with huge armored hands, appears on the field in attack mode.

 

Mike asks, confused, “Wait! That’s not in the data! When did you get that card?”

 

Suguha retorts, with a grin, “Wouldn’t you like to know?”

 

However, Suguha’s friends and family are also confused and Kotone says, “I think that we would like to know too.”

 

Lita says, amazed, “I never seen that card before!”

 

Suguha thinks in her mind, “That’s because that they seem to have come from my new Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon. I still don’t have any ideas about these new monster cards and their connection to Odd-Eyes, but I know that this dragon and Odd-Eyes are connected.” Suguha says, putting another card on her disk, “That’s not all. Since there is a Phantom Knight on my field, I can add The Phantom Knight of Silent Boots as well!” The Phantom Knight of Silent Boots (200/1200), a ragged clothed ‘specter’ monster, appears on the field in attack mode and Suguha says, “And now, I Overlay both Ragged Gloves and Silent Boots to build the Overlay Network!” The two monsters turn into lights that goes into a vortex that appears on the ground in which Suguha puts the two monster cards onto the same Monster Card Zone while putting an XYZ Monster card from her Extra Deck onto the same Monster Card Zone on her duel disk. Suguha shouts out, “Souls of warriors fallen on the battlefield, revive now and become light to render the darkness! Suguha says, “Ragged Gloves has a special ability! When it is used to summon a Dark XYZ Monster, the XYZ Monster gains one thousand attack points!” Break Sword goes from 2000/1000 to 3000/1000 and Suguha shouts out, “Attack that leech!” Break Sword cuts down Vampiric Leech, but since it was in defense mode, Mike doesn’t lose any life-points. Suguha says, putting two cards into the main slot of her duel disk, “I end my turn with two cards face-down.”

 

Mike says, drawing a card, “My move!” Mike displays Parasite Paranoid (500/300) monster card and Mike says, “And now, I activate the effect of my Parasite Paranoid! It equips to one of your monsters and turns it into an insect monster!” Parasite Paranoid (500/300) wraps around the arm of Break Sword and infects the monster.

 

Suguha shouts out, “I activate Break Sword’s ability! By using one Overlay Unit, I destroy one card on your field with one card on my field! I choose your face-down and my Break Sword!” Break Sword absorbs one of its Overlay Units and Mike’s final face-down card and Break Sword are destroyed.

 

Mike says, drawing a card, “Ha! My final face-down was Dummy Mark and you are the dummy since you destroyed it in which it allows me to draw one more card since an opponent’s effect destroyed it!” Mike says, putting one card on his duel disk, “Also, when my Paranoid is equipped to a monster and it is destroyed, I can summon one high-level insect monster from my hand! And I choose my wonderful Metamorphosed Insect Queen!” Soon after, Metamorphosed Insect Queen (2800/2400-3300/2400), a ‘mutant’ version of Insect Queen, appears on the field in attack mode and gets ‘engulfed’ by the power of the Seal of Orichalcos. Mike says, with a sly grin, “And she is also enhanced by the power of Orichalcos and you are done!”

 

Suguha says, “Not so fast! When my Break Sword is destroyed, two Phantom Knights monsters return back to the field and they have their levels increased by one!” Just then the Phantom Knight of Ragged Gloves (1000/500) and Phantom Knights of Silent Boots (200/1200) return to the field in defense mode.

 

Mike says, “They are no match for my queen! Devour them my queen!” Metamorphosed Insect Queen moves in to attack Ragged Gloves.

 

Suguha shouts out, “Wrong, I activate my trap: The Phantom Knights of Wrong Magneting!” One of Suguha’s face-down card is revealed to be a trap card known as The Phantom Knights of Wrong Magneting and Suguha says, “This trap card negates your attack and it is also summoned to the field as a level two monster!” The Phantom Knights of Wrong Magneting (0/0), a specter with a large circular magnet in its hands, appears on the field in attack mode and creates a field that negates Metamorphosed Insect Queen’s attack.

 

Mike says, putting two cards into the main slot of his disk, “I end my turn with a couple of face-downs! Also, my Queen gives birth to a Token during every End Phase!” Metamorphosed Insect Queen then gives ‘birth’ to an Insect Monster Token (100/100-600/100) in defense mode.

 

Yolei says, disgusted, “Yuck! Gross out!”

 

Jack’s voice booms, “Okay, that’s enough, kid!” Everyone looks to see Yusei and Jack on their faith ace monsters, Stardust Dragon and Red Dragon Archfiend, in which Jack says, “You bring down this force-field or we are going to tear it down!”

Mike says, with a sly smirk, “Your monsters may be ‘real’ due to the improved Solid Vision, but they don’t have the power to break through.”

 

Jack yells out, strongly, “You want to bet, brat? Red Dragon Archfiend, tear that down!”

 

Yusei says, concerned, “Jack, wait!” However, it is too late as Red Dragon Archfiend slams its flaming fist into the ‘force-field’ that the Seal of Orichalcos is projecting, but it roars out in pain as it is sent backwards from the attempt.

 

Mike says, plainly, “I warned you, Jack-dono.”

 

Yusei tells Jack, “Jack, you can’t break it down even if our monsters have a ‘physical presence’ due to the ARC Reactor. We need another strategy!”

 

Mike asks Suguha, “Where were we?”

 

Suguha says, drawing a card, “Kicking your butt!”

 

Mike says, pushing a button on his disk, “You have to go through my queen first especially with this trap card in play! I activate my Corrosive Scales!” Mike’s face-down card is revealed to be the Corrosive Scales trap card and Mike says, “And now, I equip my queen with this card and now, you can’t attack any insect monsters other than her majesty!”

 

Suguha says, putting one card into the main slot, “First, I activate my Phantom Knights’ Spear continuous spell card! Then I activate the effect of my Wrong Magneting! By sending this card and one ‘Phantom Knights’ card to the graveyard, I get two new cards! I release my Wrong Magneting and my Knights’ Spear spell!” Said cards vanish from the field and Suguha draws two new cards.

 

Mike says, with a grin, “Not bad, but you should look at your monsters.” Suguha looks at Ragged Gloves and Silent Boots in which she gasps to see them with a ‘pollen’ starting to cover them with Ragged Gloves’ stats go down from 1000/500 to 800/300 and Silent Boots go down from 200/1200 to 0/1000.

 

Suguha says, shocked, “My monsters!”

 

Mike says, with a sinister smile, “That’s the other effect of my Corrosive Scales trap card. Every time that you summon a monster or activate a card or effect, all monsters on your field gain a ‘scale counter’ and every counter cost them one hundred attack and defense points!”

 

Suguha says, with a snarl, “Oh, yeah? Then I Overlay my now level four Ragged Gloves and Silent Boots and build the Overlay Network!” Both monsters turn into lights that goes into a vortex in the ground while Suguha takes an XYZ Monster card from her Extra Deck and putting it on her duel disk, over the two monster cards that are on the same Monster Card Zone. Suguha yells out, “Formed from pitch-black darkness to fight those foolish enough to oppose its treacherous fangs! I XYZ Summon Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon!” Out of the vortex, Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon (2500/2000), with two Dark Overlay Units orbiting it, appears on the field in attack mode.

 

Mike says, “Thanks to my trap, your monster gains a scale counter while losing points!” Dark Rebellion roars out as ugly scales attaches to its form causing it to go from 2500/2000 to 2400/1900.

 

Suguha says, “Thanks to Dark Rebellion’s ability, I remove two Overlay Units and your monster’s power is cut in half while Dark Rebellion gains that amount!” Dark Rebellion absorbs its two Overlay Units and opens its wings in which Suguha says, “Treason Discharge!” Metamorphosed Insect Queen howls out as it is bound in which it goes from 3300/2400 to 1650/2400 while Dark Rebellion goes from 2400/1900 to 4050/1900!

 

Mike says, “My trap takes one hundred more points away from your dragon since it used an ability!” Dark Rebellion gets covers in more scales causing it to go from 4050/1900 to 3950/1800.

 

Suguha says, seriously, “But it is still more than enough to take down your queen! Dark Rebellion attack his queen! Revolt of the Lightning Disobey!” Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon charges in and slashes Metamorphosed Insect Queen with its fangs causing it to explode.

 

Mike says, pushing a button on his disk, “I activate my Defense Draw!” Mike’s other face-down card is revealed to be the Defense Draw trap card and Mike says, “This card protects me from the damage and I get a new card!” As a shield protects from him the destruction of Metamorphosed Insect Queen, he draws one card from his deck and he says, “You are going to pay for destroying my lovely queen.”

 

Suguha says, “You are going to have to get through my dragon first since your trap is gone, my dragon regains his power!” Dark Rebellion then goes from 3950/1800 back up to 4150/2000 and Suguha says, putting one card into the main slot of her disk, “Then I end my turn with a face-down.”

 

Mike says, drawing a card, “You are going to need it!”

 

Mike gains an evil smile and Amara says, with a glare, “I don’t like the look on his face.”

 

Ken says, “We never do, Amara. That only means trouble.”

 

Mike says, putting one card on his duel disk, “That’s right. And it starts with this!” Petit Moth (300/200-800/200) appears on the field in attack mode and gets infused with the power of the Orichalcos.

 

Lita asks, confused, “That little slug?”

 

Ami says, “Don’t underestimate it, Lita-chan.”

Mike says, with a wicked smile while putting one card into the main slot, “Your friend has a good point especially when I equip my Moth with the Cocoon of Evolution!” Soon after, Petit Moth is engulfed by an organic cocoon in which its stats go from 800/200 to 500/2000.

 

Suguha says, “That’s a risky move. It takes a lot of turns for you to bring out a Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth.”

 

Mike says, putting one more card into the main slot of his disk, “Not with my Cocoon of Ultimate Evolution Quick-Play spell! This card allows me to release one Insect monster that’s equipped with an equip card and summon any Insect monster from my deck no matter what’s needed to summon it!”

 

There are gasps of shock and Rika says, nervously, “That’s not good!”

 

A card comes out of Mike’s deck, he puts it on his duel disk, and he yells out, “Meet your doom: Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth!” Soon after, the cocoon bursts open and Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth (3500/3000-4000/3000) emerges from it in attack mode and becomes infused with power of the Orichalcos.

 

Suguha says, “You might want to check your math. My dragon is still stronger than your monster.”

 

Mike says, with a grin, “We’ll see about that! I activate my cocoon’s second effect! By removing this card from my grave, I can return one Insect monster from my grave to my deck and then I get a new card from my deck!” Mike removes said card from his disk’s graveyard slot, returns Metamorphosed Insect Queen (2800/2400) monster card to his deck, his deck is shuffled, and Mike draws one card from his deck. Mike says, putting one more card into the main slot of his disk, “Then I equip my Great Moth with Insect Armor with Laser Cannon and boosts its power by seven hundred points!” Armor with a huge laser cannon appears on Great Moth’s back and it goes from 4000/3000 to 4700/3000 and Mike says, putting one more card into the main slot, “Then I activate my Insect Imitation spell card! I release my token and summon an insect that’s one level higher!” A card coms out of Mike’s deck and he puts it on his deck causing Gokipon (800/800-1300/800) to appear on the field in attack mode. Mike shouts out, “Now, attack!” Great Moth fires a beam of energy from the cannon strapped to its back right at Dark Rebellion.

 

Suguha says, pushing a button on her duel disk’s touch screen, “Sorry, but I activate my Phantom Knights’ Wing!” Suguha’s face-down card is revealed to be the Phantom Knights’ Wing trap card and Suguha says, “This trap card boosts one monster’s power by five hundred and it can’t be destroyed once this turn!” Dark Rebellion goes from 4150/2000 to 4650/2000 in which it roars out as it takes the shot from Great Moth in the chest, but it isn’t destroyed and Suguha grunts as the shockwave from the attack costs her 50 life-points.

 

Mike says, “But you still take damage, Kirigaya.” Mike says, putting one more card into the main slot of his disk, “And now, I activate my Insect Neglect! As long as this spell remains on the field, I can negate an attack by removing one Insect monster from my graveyard from play!”

 

Izzy says, “That’s not good. He currently has several insect monsters in his graveyard, so, he can negate a number of Suguha’s attacks.”

 

Mike says, with a wicked smile, “I end my turn.”

Too bad!”

Mike says, “You already know her, Kirigaya-san.” Mike says, putting one card into the main slot, “I activate Pot of Greed and draw two cards!” Mike gains another evil smile and Mike says, putting one card into the main slot, “First, I activate my Bounce spell! This card allows to reflect the effect of your swords onto your field!” Just then the multiple swords of light surround Mike’s field fly up and surround Suguha’s field in which he says, with a grin, “Now, it is your monsters that are trapped for three turns!” Suguha gives an annoyed snarl and Mike says, putting one card onto his duel disk, “Not like they will be there. I release my Gokipon to play Empress Mantis in attack mode!” Gokipon vanishes to be replaced by Empress Mantis (2200/1400-2700/1400) in attack mode and it gets ‘engulfed’ by the power of the Orichalcos in which Mike yells out, “Get rid of her worthless armor!” Empress Mantis slices Fragile Armor in half, but since it was in defense mode, Suguha doesn’t lose any life-points in which Mike says, “Now, my Great Moth, vaporize her pathetic lizard!” Great Moth fires a beam of energy from the cannon attached to its back that slams into Dark Rebellion causing it to roar as it is vaporized, but since it was in defense mode, like Fragile Armor, Suguha doesn’t lose life-points. Mike says, with a smirk, “That end my turn.”

 

Shion says, with a plain tone, “That’s not good.”

 

Kotone says, worriedly, “She doesn’t have a defense.”

 

Kazuto says, worriedly, “Sugu…”

Suguha says, “That’s what you think.” Suguha says, putting one card into the main slot of her disk, “I place a face-down and end my turn.”

 

Mike asks, “Is that all?” Mike draws a card and he says, with a sinister smile, “Fine. It is my turn.” Mike says, putting one card into the main slot, “I activate my Card of Sanctity and both of us must draw until we have six cards in our hands.” Suguha and Mike draw until they have six cards in their hands in which Mike gives a look.

 

Suguha asks, with a smile, “Didn’t get anything?”

 

Mike says, “I don’t need anymore. I already have these! Empress Mantis, direct attack!”

 

As Empress Mantis prepares to attack Suguha, she yells out, “Just what I was waiting for! I activate the effect of my Phantom Knights of Shadow Veil! When you declare a direct attack against me while this trap is in my grave, it is summoned as a Normal Monster!” The Phantom Knight of Shadow Veil (0/300), a ‘specter knight’ on a ‘specter horse’, appears on the field in defense mode and Suguha says, “But if it is destroyed, it is removed from play!”

 

Mike says, “Which is going to happen right now!” Empress Mantis cuts down Shadow Veil and Mike yells out, “Now, my mighty Moth, finish her off!”

 

Great Moth aims its cannon right for Suguha and Serena yells out, worriedly, “Stop!”

 

Kazuto yells out, worriedly, “Sugu!”

 

Keiko shouts out, worriedly, “Suguha!” Great Moth fires right at Suguha, who secretly pushes a button on her duel disk, as the attack slams into her with terrific force causing a massive explosion which covers her dust and debris.

 

Hotaru yells out, horrified, “Suguha-hime!”

 

Mike says, with a wicked smirk, “Game over.”

 

Suguha’s voice then booms, “That’s…what you think.” Mike gives a look of shock and out of the smoke, Suguha appears in which she has a face-up card and 2250 life-points.

 

Mike asks, confused, “But how?” Just then Mike then sees the face-up card on Suguha’s field is Nutrient Z trap card and Mike asks, surprised, “A Nutrient Z trap card?!”

 

Suguha says, with a smile, “It seems like you know this card. And you would know that when you attack me with an attack that would inflict two thousand or more points of damage, I can use Nutrient Z to boost my life-points by four thousand before you do any damage.”

 

Davis says, excitedly, “Awesome!”

 

Mina yells out, excitedly, “Way to go, girl!”

 

Suguha says, pushing a button on her duel disk, “But there is more! I activate my Damage Condenser trap card!” Suguha’s other face-down card is Damage Condenser and Suguha says, discarding one card, “By the way, thanks for the extra cards, I can use this trap thanks to you. When I suffer damage, I discard one card and summon a monster that has attack points that’s equal or less to the damage that you gave me! And I choose this: My Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon!” A card comes out of Suguha’s deck, she puts it on her duel disk, and Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon (2800/2400) appears on the field in attack mode.

Suguha says, with a serious tone, “But this might! I activate the effect of my Phantom Knights’ Wing in my graveyard! By removing it from play, I can revive one Phantom Knights monster from my graveyard, but it is banished once it leaves the field! And I choose Break Sword!” Suguha removes a card from her graveyard and Phantom Knights of Break Sword (2000/1000) returns to the field in attack mode.

 

Mike says, with an evil smile, “Has as many monsters that you like, they won’t help you.”

 

Suguha retorts, with a sly smile, “That’s what you think.” Suguha says, putting one card into the main slot of her duel disk, “And it starts with this! Go, Eye of Timaeus!”

 

Mike and Trista are shocked by those words and they say in unison, stunned, “What?!” Break Sword’s sword glows and shoots a beam of light into the clouds in which the clouds part to reveal a massive and huge green and white dragon with a scar over its right eye.

Plenty of the others look at Trista and Davis asks, “You know that dragon?”

 

Suguha shouts out, “Timaeus, combine with Break Sword!” Break Sword leaps up into the sky with the dragon and they are engulfed in a bright light in which a new Fusion Monster card appears on Suguha’s duel disk in which she shouts out, “Meet the Phantom Knights of Dragon Sword!” Out of the light, The Phantom Knight of Dragon Sword (3000/1500), a silver version of the ‘specter warrior’ of Break Sword riding on Timaeus, who has dark blue-black armor on him, appears on the field in attack mode and Suguha says, “Thanks to his ability, when summoned, he destroys a number of cards on the field equal to the number of dark and dragon monsters on the field, but using this effect makes it that only Dragon Sword can attack this turn!” Mike gasps and Suguha says, “All my monsters are dark and dragon monsters, so, three cards hit the road! So, I take out your bugs and my swords!” Dragon Sword unleashes a wave of energy that destroys the swords of light energy that are on Suguha’s side of the field as well as Great Moth and Empress Mantis.

 

Mike says, with a sneer, “So, what? My spell card allows me to negate your attacks as long as I remove insect monsters from my grave and I just got two more of them! And you have only one attack now!”

 

Suguha says, discarding three cards, “But my Dragon Sword has another effect! By discarding any number of cards from my hand, you can’t play any card effects on your field and your spell and trap cards can’t be activated during the Battle Phase of this turn! Spectral Bind!” Just then Mike’s face-down cards and Insect Neglect are covered in ‘specters’ and Suguha says, putting one more card into the main slot of her disk, “Then I equip Dragon Sword with United We Stand! He gains eight hundred attack points for every monster on my side of the field including himself!” Dragon Sword then goes from 3000/1500 to 5400/1500!

 

Mike says, fearfully, “Wait! Wait! You’ll know what will happen if you beat me, don’t you?! You know that!”

 

Suguha thinks in her mind, solemnly, “All too well.” Suguha says, with a strong tone, “However, you made your choice!” Suguha yells out, “Dragon Sword, direct attack! End this with Spectral Flare!” Dragon Sword unleashes eerie blue flames at Mike and he screams out as they slam into him causing him to lose 5400 life-points as well as the duel.

  With the end of the duel, the ‘evil magic circle’ shrinks until it surrounds Mike and he screams out, “NO! WAIT! MY LADY…DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN…LADY YUUKO…!!”

 

Suguha gasps and she thinks in her mind, shocked, “Yuuko…” However , Suguha falls to one knee while the ‘evil magic circle’ fades while Mike collapses onto the ground, seemly unconscious.

 

Serena says, worriedly, “Suguha!” Immediately, the rest of our heroes and heroines rush over to her while Team 5Ds goes over to the ‘unconscious’ Mike.

 

Jack grabs the ‘unconscious’ Mike by the collar and he yells at him, “Okay, punk! Where did you get that freak card?! What is up with it?” Jack then shakes the ‘unconscious’ Mike until Yusei stops him.

 

Yusei tells Jack, “Stop it, Jack! That’s not going to help!”

 

Just then Akiza gasps in horror and when her friends/comrades in Team 5Ds look at her, Akiza says, having what looks a Duel Monster card in her hands, “Guys…” Akiza then displays the Seal of Orichalcos Field Spell card, but Mike’s face, twisted in horror and terror, is inside of it.

 

Leo yells out, shocked, “What the?!”

 

Crow says, “His face is in it.”

 

Trista says, “Not just his face. That’s Mike-san’s soul sealed away.”

 

Team 5Ds looks at Trista and Jack asks, stunned, “His soul?”

 

Trista says, “That’s the evil power of this card. The loser of the duel, the user of the card or the opponent of the user, it doesn’t matter has their soul sealed away into the card upon losing the duel.”

 

Crow asks, stunned, “You’re kidding me?!”

 

Jack looks at Trista’s serious face and Jack tells Crow, “Does that face say that ‘I’m just kidding’ to you, Crow?”

 

Luna asks Trista, “Is there anything that can be done?”

 

Trista says, shaking her head, “No. Unless the mastermind that controls this evil power is defeated, there is nothing that can be done for this person.” Trista says, “However, this evil power was defeated decades ago by Yugi Moto and all of his friends and allies.”

 

Yusei asks, “Wait! The King of Games face this sort of power?”

 

Trista says, with a nod, “And it was defeated by him and his friends and allies seemly for good in his time.”

 

Jack says, with a plain tone, “Not good enough it seems.” Back with the others, Suguha is helped back to her feet.

 

Kotone asks Suguha, “Are you okay?”

 

Suguha tells Kotone, with a nod, “I’m okay.”

 

Davis says, “Man, girl! That was intense!”

 

TK says, “Not to mention dangerous.”

 

Mina says, with a groan, “You think that we could go back to having peaceful lives.”

 

Yolei tells Mina, shaking her head, “I don’t see that in our line of ‘work’, Mina-chan.”

 

Suguha starts to walk away from the others and Kazuto asks, concerned, “Sugu?”

 

Suguha tells Kazuto, with a weak smile, “I’ll be fine, big brother. I just need to take a breather.” Suguha then heads off, quickly, in which she thinks, while taking out a spell card known as Eye of Timaeus, “Oh, man! I thought that insanity was gone long ago, but I guess not, huh?” Just then the Eye of Timaeus glows before it vanishes in which she thinks, “Off to find your real ‘chosen one’, huh? Well, thanks for the hand, even though I don’t deserve it.”

 

Amara says, “She knows something.”

 

The others look at Amara and Darien says, “I’ve got to agree. When he first used that card, Suguha expressed familiarity with it.”

 

Serena asks, “Are you saying that Suguha has experience with that card?”

 

Ken says, “That and the duel disk that her opponent was wearing.” Ken tell Kazuto, “Sorry, Kazuto, like it or not, Suguha knows something about this.”

 

Kazuto stays silent due to the fact that he knows that Ken, Darien, and Amara have to be right and he thinks, lowly, “Sugu…”

At an unknown location, Yuuko is staring at a stone tablet of some fashion when someone enters the room.

 

The person says, in a male voice, “Yuuko-sama, I have a report.”

The person replies, with a nod, “Yes, Yuuko.”

 

The person leaves the room and when the person leaves, Yuuko says, “You will pay for what you have done, Suguha. Not only have you betrayed us, but you are the reason that my life was destroyed. And now, I will destroy your life and everything as well as everyone that you cherish. After that, I will destroy this world for it is not worth living on without the people that your power took from me. What your power and YOUR SISTER took from me.” Yuuko looks up to see a projection of Valkyrie Sailor Celestial and Valkyrie Sailor Moon with a projection of Aincrad behind them.

Hello, everyone. I know that it has been a long time, but there has been A LOT going on. In late May of this year, my grandmother…passed away. I took it…really hard. Things at home are hard to say the least, so, updates might take longer than usual. Anyway, as you already suspect, timeline wise, this story takes place around five days after the end of Alternating Scales and you might be asking a few things. Well, I can explain. I had started this chapter months ago, but I moved onto working on Alternating Scale and finishing Worlds’ Song before that. After Alternating Scales was done, I had to go into modifying this chapter to reflect the changes from the original plot of that story at that time into the plot that you already know, but there wasn’t too much difference, so, it wasn’t too hard. Things are going to get really crazy, folks, so, expect plenty of excitement and surprise through you might have an idea of what the plot is about.
