Sailor Moon Fan Fiction / Fan Fiction ❯ It's a charmed life ❯ Prologue ( Prologue )
Note: I know I should be worried about my two other crossover fanfics - "My destiny" and "False Pretenses". I wanted to do a Sailor Moon/Xena for a very long time. I'm very sad to learn about Kevin Smith's death, the actor who played Ares on Xena and Hercules. He was a good actor and my prayers to him and his family… He will be sadly missed.
Sailor Moon and Xena belongs to respective companies.

Prologue
Present day, Tokyo Japan
Hotaru was having trouble sleeping. She was tossing back and forth on her bed. She took her pillows underneath her and covered her entire face. Her scream was low-pitched. She didn't want to disturb her dad sleeping in the next room. She threw back the bed covers and sat up straight. She pounded her fist into her pillows. She sighed in frustration.
She looked out to her bedroom window and saw the sun rising into the morning sky. "Well, it's almost morning. Time to get up, Hotaru!" She thought. She got up and tidily re-arranged her bed. She went to her closet to get a fresh change of clothes.
Today was a special day. It was her 13th birthday. Her morning didn't get off to a great start. She was still recuperating from a nightmare and she was feeling cranky.
She tossed her pajamas back to her bed. Her eyes caught the glimpse of her family photo displayed on her nightstand. She took the photo frame and her fingers gently brushed it over. It showed a picture of her mom, dad and herself as a baby.
"Oh mom…"She whispered. A sad smile appeared on her face and she placed the frame back to her nightstand. She took few steps forward until she almost tripped. She looked down and saw the book of Greek Myths and Legends on the floor. She remembered reading some of the stories last night.
She bent down to pick up the book from the floor and a bookmark fell off. She grunted in annoyance. She took her the book back to her study table. She flipped the pages open to where she had left off reading and inserted the bookmark carefully. Her eyes fell on an interesting page. She began to read….
Ancient Greece, Mount Olympus
A flash of lightning appeared and a young man stood inside the halls of the Olympian Gods' palace, Mt. Olympus. He dyed his hair blond and he was clad in a skinny, tight black leather outfit.
He looked around for a second and he knocked on a closed corridor. He was whistling a tune while he was waiting. Minutes passed and there was still no answer. He knocked on the door for the second time. There was silence. He made a deep growl in his throat and he kicked the doors in frustration. "Nice work, Ares. Next time, don't forget to include to send in for the welcoming committee!" Deismos grumbled as he entered Ares' throne room. He stopped talking and his face lit up in a mischevious smile. Far ahead, he saw Discord sitting on Ares' throne. She was looking into a mirror. She has a bruise on her right eye.
"Sporting a new look Discord?" Deimos couldn't resist teasing. He was leaning casually against the doorway.
Discord's head shot up. There was an intense angry look on her face. "Shut up!" She screamed furiously. She hurled the mirror across the room. Deimos was laughing when he dodged it in time. The mirror crashed to the wall.
"Temper… Temper… Is this anyway to treat a family?" He asked. There was a malicious glint in his eyes. He walked towards her.
"Get lost, I'm busy!" Discord exclaimed, refusing to look at him.
He leaned closer. "Aphrodite isn't it?" He guessed. "You two had a cat fight again."
Discord remained silent.
"You need a get a new hobby." He advised. "This is getting really old, Discord."
"And you stay out of my business!" She snarled.
"When will you ever learn that you can't take on Aphrodite? She's one of the big shots here at Olympus. And you can't even defeat Xena like Zeus ordered." Deimos retorted back.
"I will get my revenge, Deimos! Wait till you see!" Discord made a vow. Her eyes flashed…
