Chapter 5 “Explanation”

 

Kayla, Skye, Kanemi, Arinna, and Angel were sitting on one side of the Slifer Common Room while everyone else was on the other side. InuYasha was in a corner leaning against the wall. “You've got a lot of explaining to do,” Tyranno said to Kayla who was drinking the medicine Kagome gave her to fight back the miasma.

 

“Not only her Hassleberry, but also her cousin and Serena and her friends,” Aster said. He continually stared at Raye.

 

`Why is he staring at me and why am I blushing?' Raye asked herself.

 

Both Amy and Kagome explained their situations to everyone and then they all turned to the three scouts and two cats. Kanemi stood to explain, but Kayla beat her to it. “As you know I am Sailor Leo one of the Astral's like Kanemi here who is Sailor Scorpio. Our mission including Skye who is Sailor Wind one of the Elementals is to prevent the Soul Reapers from getting what is known as Pure Light. I heard from Pluto a.k.a. Trista that if this Queen Beryl gets a hold of this power she can turn it into Corrupt Light and if that happens the world, as we know it, is doomed or at least that is what Trista told Sheppard,” Kayla explained. “We also have another mission.”

 

“And what mission is that?” Michelle asked.

 

“You others don't realize you are missing two more scouts,” Kayla said.

 

“What do you mean?” Kagome asked.

 

“They have scouts for each planet in our solar system except for Earth and Sun. The Astral's guard Sailor Sun while the Elementals guard Sailor Earth,” Kayla explained.

 

“Do you know who they are?” Blair asked.

 

“No that's the bad part. We must find Sailor Earth but also we must find Sailor Sun because she holds a very powerful crystal known as the Imperial Sun Crystal or taiyouzuishou,” Kayla said.

 

“The Imperial Sun Crystal?” Mina asked. Kayla nodded.

 

“Now we must be prepared for the worst,” Kanemi said.

 

“Why do you say that?” Chazz asked.

 

“If this Naraku is teamed up with Beryl then the whole school is in danger,” Trista finished.

 

“I still want to know how Beryl was able to come back when we kicked her butt a few years back?” Lita asked.

 

“You beat her before?” Alexis asked.

 

Amy nodded. “When me, Serena, Raye, Lita, and Mina first became scouts she was our first enemy along with the four generals who use to guard Darien. They were searching for the Imperial Silver Crystal, which Serena has inside her.”

 

Suddenly Kayla began to cough again. Kagome rushed over to her cousin and gave her some medicine. Kayla took the medicine and then she glared off in the distance. “That bastard is going to get it for threatening my cousin the way he did.”

 

Kagome turned to InuYasha. “I wish Miroku, Sango, Shippo, and Kirara were here,” she said, “But the only way to do that is travel back to the main land and then to the well then back to the past.”

 

“There is a simpler way,” Trista said. Everyone turned to look at her.

 

“The Gates of Time,” Kanemi spoke up.

 

“That's right! Angel and Arinna told me and Kayla that the Gates of Time can take you to any time that you want to go,” Skye said.

 

“You would let us bring Sango and the others here?” Kagome asked Trista and Kanemi. The two scouts nodded. “InuYasha do you think you can go through and get them?”

 

“Yeah. Just stay out of danger,” InuYasha told her.

 

“I will go with him,” Kanemi said before she and Trista summoned the gates. Both InuYasha and Kanemi stepped through them and were gone.

 

“Please hurry,” Kagome plead quietly.

 

Kayla stood up quickly and left the room muttering that she needed air. Skye frowned as she watched Kayla go out the door. “Poor Kayla,” she muttered.

 

“What's wrong with her?” Blair asked.

 

“She feels so lonely most of her time that when ever someone starts talking about a bunch of friends that they have Kayla gets slightly jealous so she just leaves the room,” Skye explained.

 

Shin took this all in then slipped out the door to see Kayla sitting in a nearby tree with her Silent Magician beside her. Beside Shin appeared a Silent Swordsman LV 7. [She does seem lonely master,] Swordsman said.

 

“Maybe we can change that,” Shin said to him and then went over to the tree. “Hey,” he called up to Kayla.

 

She glanced down in surprise but relaxes when she sees it is Shin. “What do you want?” she asked him with a hint of annoyance.

 

“I was wondering if maybe you could have your Magician scoot over so I could join you up there,” he said.

 

Kayla seemed surprised by what he said. “You can see her?”

 

“Can you see my Swordsman?”

 

“Yeah I see…” She seemed surprised by what was next to him.

 

“Something wrong?” he asked her.

 

“N…n…n…nothing's wrong,” she said as turned her head to the side. `Why am I blushing?' she asked herself.

 

Shin climbed onto the branch and sat next to Kayla. He saw her looking away from him. “Skye told us about your problem with people and their big group of friends,” he said trying to break the ice.

 

“Yeah. I don't know why, but when others start talking about all of their friends and how good they are together I just loose it,” Kayla confided.

 

“Then why are you hanging out with Jaden and the others?” Shin asked.

 

“Before they weren't many and now there are,” Kayla answered, “I'm not a really good friend.”

 

[You are a good friend. You just need to prove it to yourself,] Magician said.

 

“You're Magician's right. You just need to try,” Shin said. Suddenly a high-pitched scream and a slap sounded through the air coming from the Slifer Dorm.

 

“I think that means that Kagome's friend InuYasha is back with those other friends of hers.” With that she leapt up of the branch and landed on the ground. She glanced back as Shin also jumped down before she started towards the red dorm. `I don't know why I was able to open up to him like I did. He can't be the same as that Senias guy in my dreams.' Upon entering the dorm the two saw Lita protecting a blushing Amy. “What the hell happened?” Kayla asked Skye.

 

“You see that new black haired guy in the robes?” Skye said pointing. Kayla saw the one Skye was talking about who was being glared at by a female with brown hair and in a kimono. “His name is Miroku. He decided to feel Amy's butt when she wasn't paying attention. That new girl in the kimono is called Sango she came to Amy's aid and slapped him on the cheek. Plus that cat on her shoulder is Kirara.”

 

Kayla noticed that InuYasha was standing beside Kagome who had a bundle of orange in her arms. She moved over to her cousin. “Whose this Kag?” she asked her.

 

The bundle moved to reveal a young boy with pointy ears. “I'm Shippo,” he said.

 

“So many girls so little time,” Miroku said from right behind Kayla.

 

Kayla whirled around and glared at him. “Just try any of your perverted ways on me and I'll make sure you never have kids!” she told him. Everyone just gapped at her.

 

“I like your cousin Kagome,” Sango said to Kagome as Miroku backed away.

 

Kayla suddenly began to cough again. Kagome rushed to her side as did Skye and Shin. “What happened to her?” Miroku asked.

 

“She ran right at Naraku and then got caught in his miasma,” InuYasha explained.

 

“Why did she do that?” Shippo asked.

 

“To save me,” Kagome said as she tended to Kayla, “Naraku held me hostage and Kayla rushed to save me from his grip, but like InuYasha said she got caught in the middle of miasma and after that she began to cough. The good thing is she's not coughing that often meaning she didn't breath in too much of the miasma.”

 

“Skye fill them in on what's going on,” Kayla rasped out.

 

Skye nodded and turned to the Miroku, Sango, Kirara, and Shippo. She then began to explain to them what the others were told. “But why would Naraku help her?” Sango asked.

 

“No clue,” Skye answered.

 

“I got a question. How the hell does that furball help you?” Chazz asked pointing to Kirara. Kirara leapt off of Sango's and was engulfed in flames. In the next instant Chazz was under a paw of a now bigger Kirara. “I take that back!” Chazz hollered as he tried to get out of Kirara's grip. The whole group laughed.

 

Kayla glanced around at the group as she too laughed/coughed. `Maybe I can be a good friend to all of them. I have to try to if we want to take down Naraku and Beryl.'
