Chapter 17 Christmas Time Secrets

Clothes: Kags, aside from her school uniform dark tight straight leg jeans with tan fake fur trim boots a green long sleeve t-shirt with a drunk monkey in a kung fu pose on the chest and a black thigh length hooded leather winter coat. Inu, black jeans with black winter boots a layer look t-shirt black and red with a sword that resembled his own on it and a black stylish men's winter coat. Sango, medium tight straight leg jean dark fake fur trim boots a ocean blue long sleeve t-shirt with beautiful pic of a dolphin and a cute pink women's winter coat. Miroku, pale jeans with brown winter boots a layer look t-shirt navy blue and purple with a purple Buddha and a men's dark blue winter coat. The usual for every one else. Oh yes school uniforms um dark blue al most black for the boys as in Inu and Ku and then the dark blue almost black knee length skirt and collar with red and pink trim for the girls. And for the later outfits regular jeans and their winter clothing the boots and coats the shirt need not be explained because they won't be removing their coats.

 

 

It had been very routine for the past year or so Kagome went to school when she needed and she taught her feudal era friends how to act here, not including InuYasha for obvious reasons. And with the help of her Aunt Nariko and her aunt's friend Taro Hinoshi, who worked in Juuban High school's main office, got her friends enrolled and put in the same classes as Kagome. Christmas was coming and there had been no major activity with demons or anything that the Sailor Scouts needed major help with. So Kagome and her friends helped her family decorate for Christmas, Kagome and her friends did a lot with the outside decorations. Her and InuYasha hung lights from the edge of the roof while Sango and Miroku hung decorations from the windows and doors. While they did this Luna walked up and waited for them to finish. (yes to be precise with time period it is the end of November the last week.)

 

“Hey Luna just a sec.” Kagome called from where she was hanging from the edge of the roof hanging some lights.

 

“Ok.” Luna said waiting.

 

“Yes! Finally we're done!” Kagome called aloud jumping off the roof with InuYasha as Sango and Miroku finished with the wreath type decorations.

 

“Alright what do ya want Luna?” InuYasha asked in his usual tone.

 

“I need to tell you of something Pluto saw coming in the near future.” Luna sounded slightly distressed.

 

“What? What is it Luna?” Kagome questioned when Luna wouldn't continue.

 

“Well she couldn't tell for sure but she said by the way it looks it's very disastrous. There's a huge threat coming to try and destroy the world yet again.” Luna said sounding a little more distressed then before.

 

“What could we do about it though there is only four of us?” Sango asked.

 

“Yes I know there is you and there's the Planetary scouts but that will not be enough we'll need to find the other Zodiacs and Knights.” Luna said.

 

“But how do we do that?” Miroku asked.

 

“Here take these.” Luna said as she flipped in the air and 21 different wristband/charm bracelets and communication/disguises cells appeared. “Remember this the Zodiacs and Knight may not all be here in this time. Because all of you weren't either.” Luna said.

 

“But How will we know who are the Zodiacs and Knights.” Kagome asked as Luna began to walk away.

 

“Their respective items have a tracker on them when you find them you will know. Now I must get back to the scouts.” Luna said as she ran down the steps.

 

“Well this will certainly be an unusual Christmas.” Kagome said.

 

“Hey I just thought of something Pluto is the only one aside from Luna that has talked to us about being the Zodiacs and Knights. Do you think there is a reason that they others don't appear to know?” Miroku stated.

 

“Not sure but that's not that important right now we need to find the others.” Kagome said.

 

“Yes. Should we try the past first?” Sango asked.

 

“That sound like a good idea.” InuYasha agreed.

 

“Yeah we haven't been back there in a while and we should visit Keade.” Kagome said.

 

“Alright so let us go.” Miroku said.

 

They all went in side and began packing the essentials for their trip. When Kagome's mother came into Kagome's room and asked where they were going.

 

“We need to visit Keade for awhile before Christmas comes.” Kagome said knowing it would be far to complicated to explain the whole truth. And besides her mother trusted her and her friends in the feudal era.

 

“Alright dear but be home before Christmas eve.” Kaiya said leaving the room to let them finish packing.

 

Kagome gave Kaiya a hug and they said goodbye to her brother and grandpa then headed out to the well leaving for the first time in 2 months. On the other side they headed for the village Kirara popped out of some trees near the well to greet them. (Yes Kirara and Shippou stayed behind to help Keade.)

 

“Hey Inu let's have a race it's been a while since we could put our full speed to use?” Kagome asked her mate.

”Sure.” InuYasha agreed and they took off not even 2 seconds later.

 

They ran keeping a fast pace with each other until they got to Keade's hut where they smelled her. They walked inside and after knocking on the doorframe.

 

“Hi Keade miss us!?” Kagome asked excitedly.

 

“Oh child it's so good to see ye again it's been to long. You also InuYasha.” Keade said standing and giving them both a hug. As Sango and Miroku walked in, Keade said the same and gave them both a hug.

 

“So what brings you back I know you did not just come to visit this old lady?” Keade asked.

 

“Well you are right we need to find the ones these belong to.” Kagome said opening a small backpack to reveal the Zodiac and Knight items.

 

“Oh these are most unusual items.” Keade acknowledged.

 

“You see we are reincarnated soldiers from one thousand years ago.” Miroku said.

 

“Yes Kagome was our leader well the Knights had their own but the Zodiacs had Kagome.” Sango added.

 

“Now we have to find the other's because a major threat wants to destroy the future.” Kagome said.

 

“Ah well you must do what you must but if I may be off any help let me know.” Keade stated.

 

“Oh Keade I noticed Shippou wasn't here where is he?” Kagome asked.

 

“He went to a neighboring village to help with an extermination of some minor annoying demons. He has become quite strong for such a young kitsune.” Keade stated.

 

“Ok well we better head out we have to find most of them before Christmas Eve. Oops well with in a month.” Kagome corrected herself knowing Keade didn't know what Christmas was.

 

“I wish you good fortune in finding these soldiers.” Keade called as they walked out.

 

(Oh and if you're curious Sango and Miroku are wearing their modern era clothing for 2 reasons it's warmer and their kimons got tore up in their first battle with Naraku and Kikyo. And they just haven't gotten around to getting new ones since they were spending so much time in Kagome's era.)

 

“Well which direction shall we go first?” Sango asked.

 

“Not sure.” Miroku said.

 

“We'll head north how's that?” Kagome asked.

 

“That's good enough for me.” InuYasha said.

 

Sango and Miroku nodded in agreement and they headed out. It probably took them 3 days to reach the mid northern area. That's when they noticed a noise coming from the bag with the items. It was a slow faint beeping sound. Kagome opened the bag and found the one making noise. It was the Mercury Knight wristband and phone. Kagome pulled out the phone and flipped it open on the screen was a map of some sort and there was a bright blue dot blinking faintly.

 

“So we're near the Mercury Knight?” Asked Miroku.

 

“Appears so and he's in that direction!” Kagome exclaimed pointing slightly northwest.

 

“Let's go.” InuYasha said.

 

They all headed toward where the beacon indicated. Coming upon a small village to find a small village.

 

“Hey I sense jewel shards.” Kagome said as they slowed down. (Ha you think I forgot about the jewel. They have almost all of it but there are a few missing pieces. I don't remember if I said this but they found a big piece of it when Naraku and Kikyo disappeared. So that plus what ever else they had they have back and now they just need a few pieces.)

 

“Where?” InuYasha asked quickly.

 

“It's coming from the same direction as the Mercury Knight. And there are 3 farther away. I'll focus in on the closer one.” Kagome said as she began to focus. Kagome say a boy around her brother's age that resembled Sango. `I've seen that boy before.' Kagome couldn't remember where though. “A boy around my brother's age has it.” Kagome said.

 

They then moved quickly but not enough to draw attention to themselves. They reached the boy and Sango froze.

 

“Kohaku is that really you?” Sango asked the boy.

 

“Sister?” The boy questioned.

 

“Oh it is you I can't believe I found you.” Sango said giving him a hug.

 

“Sister I missed so much.” Kohaku said.

 

“So you've been here all this time?” Sango asked letting her brother go.

 

“Yes grandfather and I got tired of traveling trying to find you so I took a break here.” Kohaku stated.

 

“Grandfather is here?” Sango questioned.

 

“Yes.” Kohaku turned planning to show Sango where they had been staying.

 

Sango followed and so did Kagome, InuYasha, and Miroku. He led them to a small hut on the other side of the village. Upon enduring the hut they saw an old man presumably Sango and Kohaku's grandfather lying on a futon near the fire in the middle of the hut.

 

“Grandfather?” Sango questioned.

 

“Sango, I'd hoped I'd get to see you again.” The old man said.

 

“Oh grandfather I missed you so much I'm sorry I hadn't found you sooner.” Sango said kneeling next to him.

 

“It's quite alright, I'm just happy to see you. Oh it's you!” The old man said looking past Sango to Miroku when he had exclaimed.

 

“Yes well I'd say it's a small world.” Miroku stated.

 

“I'd wonder if I ever see you again also. Well it appears you already know my granddaughter.” The old man stated.

 

“Looks like an engagements going to take place.” Kagome whispered to InuYasha and he looked at her puzzled. “I'll explain later if they don't.” She added.

 

“Ok how do you know each other?” Asked Sango fearing the worst.

 

“Well I met you're grandfather last year before I joined Kagome and InuYasha in their search. He had asked me if I'd marry you I agreed.” Miroku stated giving the simple version.

 

“Grandfather I said I could find my own husband.” Sango scolded her grandfather.

 

“Well I'm going to be leaving this world soon so please grant this dieing man's wish. Promise me you will marry him.” He asked his granddaughter.

 

“Ok I will.” Sango couldn't say no to her grandfather not now.

 

Their grandfather smiled and closed his eyes slowly as he past on. Sango cried lightly covering her face when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked up to find it was Miroku he had the most caring expression on his face. She sniffled a little then she had stopped crying.

They left the hut taking their grandfather's body to the small graveyard on the outskirts of the village they buried him and all said a small prayer. They then went back the hut to discus the matter they had originally came here for. Sitting around the fire they began talking and listening to the annoying beeping coming from the items.

 

“Kohaku these are my friends, Kagome, InuYasha, and now fiancé Miroku.” Sango stated.

 

“We have something we must give you.” Miroku stated.

 

“Yes we also want you to come with us.” Kagome said.

 

“What are you talking about of course I'll go with you sister but what is it you want to give me.” Kohaku asked shyly.

 

“Here.” Kagome said pulling out the wristband handing it to him. He reached for it when his fingers touched it, it disappeared and reappeared on his wrist startling him.

 

“What…” He trailed off as he started to see his past life memories. After it stopped he sat there for a few moments they thought he went into shock.

 

“Kohaku do you remember?” Sango asked.

 

“Yes! I remember everything.” Kohaku said.

 

“Alright one down!” Kagome exclaimed.

 

“And 20 to go.” Miroku said.

 

“Huh?” Kagome said quietly as she began to have another vision. After it ended she said nothing except. “Were going west next!” Kagome said firmly. “After we pick up the other 3 jewel shard up here.”

 

“Ok.” Everyone agreed.

 

They left early the next morning heading for some mountains that resided near the village. Upon entering the mountains Kagome and InuYasha picked up the scent of wolves. They followed Kagome up the mountain toward the shards. They found a cave that had a lot of wolves hanging around it. Walking into the clearing in front of the cave.

 

“Hey boys what's up!?” Kagome asked happily with a big smile.

 

The wolves and demon ones looked up shocked that someone found their hidden den.

 

“What's going on out here?” Called a male voice from in side the cave as it came out.

 

“We want your shards.” InuYasha said firmly.

 

“Well you ain't getting them. You stupid little humans.” The leader said cocky.

 

“Hey Suga' how bout we show him what stupid little humans can do?” Kagome asked. (Yes he and InuYasha have the sutras on.)

 

“Alright some real action.” InuYasha said pulling out tetsusaiga and taking a fighting stance Kagome pulled her whip out and took a stance appropriate for a whip.

 

“Well I don't know how you found this place but you won't leave alive.” The leader said taking his own stance. The out of nowhere he sped in a circle around the two trying to confuse them.

 

“I don't think so!” Kagome called whipping her whip into the cyclone the leader was creating. The end rapped around his feet and legs drew him to a halt as he stumbled and tied himself up in the whip.

 

“Damn!” The leader cursed.

 

“Kouga are you alright?” Two wolf demons questioned.

 

“Here take the damn things.” Kouga yelled pulling them out of his legs and arm then threw them at Kagome.

 

Kagome caught them then grabbed the handle of her whip giving it a good whip sending Kouga flying she wrapped it up and clipped it back on her belt. InuYasha put away his sword and they left heading for the west.

 

It took them 4 days to get to a couple miles from Sesshomaru's Castle and two other phones started beeping. Kagome looked in the bag and took out the phone for the Knight of Uranus and the phone for Sagittarius surprisingly they both pointed directly toward Sesshomaru's castle.

 

“Ah Damn!” InuYasha cursed as Kagome let out a small laugh. “You knew didn't you? My obnoxious brother is a knight isn't he?” InuYasha asked pissed off.

 

“Guilty, yes, I knew, I saw it.” Kagome said making a joke like jester of pleading guilty.

 

“But who's the Zodiac?” Miroku asked.

 

“You don't think it could be?” Sango questioned.

 

“Could be.” Kagome stated knowing where Sango was headed with this.

 

“What are you two talking about?” Both guys were confused.

 

“Never mind.” Kagome said.
