Sailor Moon Fan Fiction / InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Rini Vs. Rin ❯ Fateful meeting in the woods. ( Chapter 1 )
Chapter One: Fateful meeting in the woods.
{Rini POV}
I had been in many battles, faced innumerous amount of enemies. I have grown up to be the lady my mother always wanted me to be. I'm strong, smart, and beautiful. I have helped save the world at least ten times now. With the other sailor scouts by my side I couldn't be defeated. However on that faithful day all was lost.
When the new enemy appeared we were no match him and that incused sword. That demon from beyond chaos single handily killed all of us in a matter of months. All my friends tried to their very best to protect me however when the tables were turned I couldn't do the same. By the time we figured out their real goal it was too late we had already had taken serious loses. What hurt the worst was that we found we couldn't be reborn if we died.
Pretty soon I saw the light of time ebbed away. The sky beneath me was turning into a brilliant blue and it smelled nice fresh like after a spring rain. I open my wings so I could land safety on the ground. For a moment I felt like a bird free for trouble. Yet these wings of mine are under a great burden.
If I fail this mission all will be lost. I landed gracefully on the ground to what seem to be in some forest or something like it. I kept my right hand on my sword. Pluto said this was the time of the Great Samurai and Greater demons. So I must be on my guard at all times. I folded my wings tightly against my back I don't want to be misjudged as a demon myself.
I started my search for this Sesshomaru demon and his ill-fated sword. Pluto said I had to travel westward to find him. I check my compass and I was already on the right track. By high noon I should already in his domain and then well I have to kill him.
{The western lands}
Two blades crossed dancing the dance of death; the first to fall was the first to die. Failure was not an opinion it was a lack of skill. A mere human's eyes couldn't keep up the pace as the sword clash with violent. Sparks flew each time the swords scrape against each other. The two combaters circle around and around each other. Who had the best footing, the best handle, and the best stokes. Nothing each matter in world only this moment counted.
The sky suddenly went from blue to purple a father and his young daughter yielded their swords. Clearly they weren't the cause of it. They sheathed their swords neither one trying to hide the confusion on their faces. Sesshomaru sniffed the surrounding wind for unfamiliar scents. Rin's eyes were like a hawk scanning the area for any sudden movements.
"Rin stay here and protect the castle," Sesshomaru said all too suddenly.
"Can't I come with you father," Rin whined her hand resting on her sword.
"No Rin," Sesshomaru said before taking off.
"Damnit," Rin cursed as she stomped off into the castle.
"Milady what has happen," Jaken asked rushing towards Rin.
"Father and I saw the sky change color but father went alone to investigate," Rin explain.
"Should this Jaken follow," Jaken asked.
"No you will go and fetch my arrows. I'll go saddle Ah-un," Rin commanded.
"Right away," Jaken said and the little toad rushed off.
Rin rushed to her find her mother, she didn't have to look for long Kagura was in one of the courtyard still looking up at the sky.
"Mother," Rin called.
"Rin, did you see? The sky it changed color yet I don't sense any demonic auras anywhere near here," Kagura said.
"Hai father and I were outside training when it happen," Rin explain in a soft voice.
"Where is your father," Kagura asked.
"He went off to investigate the matter. He told me to stay but I have a bad feeling about this," Rin said.
"Then follow him. Jaken and I'll protect the castle," Kagura said. She could tell the younger woman wanted to go out follow her mate. Needless to say Kagura felt better if Rin was with Sesshomaru.
Rin hugged her mother and ran off. She grabbed her arrows from Jaken and jumped onto of Ah-un and followed after her father.
[In the forest]
Sesshomaru followed where he had seen the fading lights. No they looked more like starlight, but it was the nearly noon how could their be starlight? Thank the gods Rin's eyes barley missed them. This either had to be a very formable demon or strong magic of some sort. Sesshomaru hope for the first opinion as he flexed his claws. Though he really didn't want getting mixed up in either one.
Rini felt the aura of a strong being coming up fast towards her so far she hadn't seen any life forms as of yet. Everything had been still and creepy. Was this the work of a demon or what?
All too soon a white and silver figure was ten feet away for her standing gracefully on a tree limb. The seemly silent birds now flew away in the hordes. The pretty sailor solider locked her eyes on the sliver haired giant before her. He had amber eyes, two red marking on the side of his face, and a purple crescent moon on his forehead. He had a face of a nobleman or perhaps he was a young Samurai.
Though there was something inhuman about him. Was the way his long silver hair blew in to wind or was it the deadly look in his eyes? However if he got in her way she would have to knock him down. She had a mission to complete.
Sesshomaru eyed the strange looking creature below him. She had long shiny pink hair done in a fashion Sesshomaru had never seen and couldn't rightly explain. She had a very exotic yet deadly looking in her ruby eyes. If Sesshomaru hadn't a mate he would have taken this creature right then and there. Yet the thought never crossed his mind because this thing was here for battle.
The female had an outfit similar to the one he had seen Inuyasha's mate wear way back when. Yet this one was white with a pink and gold trim. Also it had a pink bow in the front and long pink ribbons in the back. This thing had wings like a snow crane as well so this female was not anywhere near human.
The creature had a sword and what looked like a rod of some sort. Sesshomaru's keen sense said that something was off on this creature before him. She wasn't of this world. He knew the feeling all to well it was the same feeling he'd got when he was around Inuyasha's mate. Caution told him to stay on guard but curiosity told him to carry out his mission.
"Where you the one that made the skies change color," Sesshomaru asked.
"Who wants to know," was the winged creature rude response.
"You will answer me even if I have to drain the life out of you," Sesshomaru said in a voice full of malice.
"I have a mission to carry out so if you don't mind I'll be going," the pink haired solider said.
"I will not repeat the question answer me or I will kill you," Sesshomaru demanded.
"Not if I kill you first," the pretty solider declared.
Not taking the threat none too lightly, Sesshomaru jumped for the tree limb and suddenly appeared in front of the pink winged creature with his claws digging their way into her neck. Rini ruby eyes went wide this guy moved fast so he couldn't be a human at all.
"Answer me little creature or parish," Sesshomaru stated all but kindly.
Suddenly the crown on top the creature shot a strong beam of light fazing Sesshomaru so much that his grip on the creature neck loosened. Rini pushed the demon back a few inches away from her and pulled out her sword.
"Listen demon if you don't want to die. I suggest you go away," Rini said coolly.
Sesshomaru quickly had regained his eyesight and for a second his eyes flashed red. How dare this little fairy girl threaten the great Sesshomaru!
"For that you will die," Sesshomaru, said in rough voice.
"We'll see after I defeated you I'm going after Sesshomaru," explain Rini.
`This fairy is after me? This Sesshomaru has done no wrong to any fairy I am sure,' Sesshomaru questioned.
"What do you want with the demon lord," Sesshomaru asked fringing ignorance.
"He has a sword that will someday ruin the way of life for my people. I must at least destroy his sword and return to my people," Rini explained as if she'd been asked the question a billion times before.
"So you can see into the future," Sesshomaru asked.
"No I cannot but trust me it will happen. You won't be around to see it happen however," Rini said as she narrowed her eyes.
`Hmm this could be fun,' Sesshomaru thought as he flexed his claws.
"Does this sword of his look anything like this perhaps," Sesshomaru question as he pulled out his deadly sword the Tokijin.
Rini eyes went wide with fear for a second. This was him!?! The demon with the sword of sheer destruction! Sesshomaru had smelled her fear spike up as he kept his cool demeanor on.
"So you're the one. Listen I really don't want to kill you but if I have to I will," the pretty solider stated in a cold voice. The fear from a few seconds ago turned in bold confidence.
Before she could say another word his sword was scraping against her neck. She could have swore she her the demon snort.
"Twilight flash," Rini screamed.
Unlike the last time Sesshomaru saw the beam of light before it hit him and step aside as he knocked the fairy into a tree. The fairy lifted the crown off her head and it transform in a shiny disk. In an instant she threw it at Sesshomaru who only sidestep away from it gracefully and when it came back he repelled it with Tokijin.
"Moon starlight Kiss," Rini said as she twirled up her pink crystal rod above her head. No way could he escape the blast.
Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes. Perhaps there was more to the little fairy then he thought. As he saw the bright pink and purple light come his way. He held Tokijin in defense. When the two powers collided the whole area lit up in a blinding white light.
[Meanwhile]
Rin saw the middle of the forest in front of her light up in a near blinding light, which only meant it, had to be her father. He was battling and by the force of that last blast he had to be up against a pretty damn strong demon.
"Ah-Un hurry up, let's get down there and help," Rin cried out.
{Sesshomaru Vs. Rini]
Sesshomaru had barely been able to knock the blast back at the female, but the look on the young warrior face was priceless. Her face was twisted into shock as she laid in a pool in her own blood and dirt. The forest looked as if a bulldozer had just ran through it.
"If that the best you can do I suggest you go back to your home," Sesshomaru said.
"I will not be defeated by you demon. Fate will not allow this. I will re-write the past," Rini said as she wobbled trying to stay tall and proud.
Sesshomaru watch as she held her wand in front of her. His hand tightened on the sword handle, as he smelled danger headed his way.
"MOON DESTRUCTION ATTACK," Rini screamed.
A huge blast of pink energy exploded for the little rod Sesshomaru's Tokijin held it off for a second before he found himself being blown back several yards and smashing into trees behind him. Rin heard screams of her father as she shielded herself from the attack. She got her arrow ready.
Rini never saw what happen as soon as her attack faded another bright light came toward her and before she knew what happen she was blasted into the oblivion or so it seemed.
`Mess with my father and die witch,' Rin thought as she saw the figure seemly turn to dust.
Rin rushed towards her father bloody yet intact figure several yards away. Before she could take another step she felt deadly claws digging in her neck. As his fearsome growl nearly made her shake with fear. Clearly he thought that she was the creature he had been fighting moments ago. She looked into the red and malice eyes of her father before gently blasted him back down with her miko powers.
"Sorry father," Rin grasp out as she collapse on her knees.
Once she caught her breath she went over to her unconscious father. He wasn't going to be in a very good mood when he got up. This was a major blow to his ego and no one mess with Sesshomaru's ego and lived to tell about.
Rin shook in fear she shouldn't have killed the creature so soon it was supposed to be her father's kill. How was she going to explain this one? She shook her head to clear her thoughts she had to do something about the bleeding first. Then she was going to take him home.
She struggled lifting her heavy father on her shoulders towards the only available tree in the area and lean him against it. Using some of her few healing power Rin got work on her father wounds until she saw his eye flutter open. Thankful they were dull gold instead of red.
"Rin," Sesshomaru said dryly.
"I'm sorry father I acted without thinking again forgive me. I know it was your kill," Rin said with he head bowed down to the ground.
"So you killed the fairy," Sesshomaru asked.
"Hai I was so afraid father. This Rin lost a father once I don't want to lose another one," Rin cried her tears land on her father's hand. Sesshomaru eyes held an unreadable emotion in them for just a moment.
"Enough of that Rin," Sesshomaru as sat up against the pain to dry his daughter tears.
"Father don't move you're in pain. I'll take of you," Rin frown. Sesshomaru gave the girl a low growl. As he fought to stand up only to find he didn't have enough energy to do so. The world twirled beneath him and then all went black.
"Papa," Rin called as she barely caught the taller figure in her arms. Ah-un suddenly appeared in front of Rin and offered to take its master on its back.
"Good idea Ah-un. We have to find a safe place to put father. If we go home now we'll never hear the end of it," Rin told the two head dragon who simply nodded and off they went.
{Eastward}
"Come back here you," Our favorite hanyou yelled at his oldest son.
`Feh, he wants me to eat that green stuff he's going have to drag me back,' thought the dog-eared youth of seven.
"Mother why is Koji always getting into trouble," a raven-haired girl asked.
"Because he takes after your father all too well," Kagome sighed and walked into the hut.
"huh," Kagome said as soon as she stepped inside.
Inuyasha sensed the changed in the wind as he held his son in a headlock. `Something wrong,' he thought as sudden the sky went from blue to pink.
"Shori, getting inside now," Kagome said in a stern voice.
"Yes mama," Shori said as she scurried inside.
Inuyasha was watched the sky change unable to do anything but look.
"Father what's going on," Koji said in a voice full of fear.
Suddenly a bright pink light was headed his way Inuyasha eyes went wide with fright.
"Koji get out of here," Inuyasha as he tossed the boy and pulled out his sword.
Kagome running towards her mate scooped up her fallen son and constructed a barrier around her and her son. A crash was heard, as Inuyasha was pile drive into the ground. On top of him was an unconscious pink haired girl.
"Whoa she fell from the sky mother did you see," Koji cried.
"Inuyasha," Kagome said rushing towards Inuyasha their son in her arms.
"Ka…Kagome get off my back," Inuyasha grunted out.
"Mother isn't on you back father some pink lady is," Koji said.
"Huh," Inuyasha question getting off the ground.
Today really hadn't been his day. His smaller cubs kept waking him up with there crying, his eldest son refused to eat his vegetables, and now some weird pink-haired girl nearly breaks his back.
"Who is she father," Koji asked putting his clawed thumb in his mouth.
"I dunno," was all Inuyasha could say.
This was going to be one strange night as Inuyasha and Kagome shared a questioning glace.
