Chapter 2: Who are you?

Kakashi looked up at the clear blue sky, as the clouds gently passed the open plain of valley that he laid in.

He was worried for Naruto. Ever since that when he started sending reports from traveling with Jiraiya during the first to second year, he wasn't the same anymore. Instead of the happy, optimistic little boy that always looked at the bright side of things, he's started to sound a little bit more lonely, and that he was becoming a bit more irritable and the distant stereotypical ninja that the people who followed the ninja life tried to not become in his letters. Him, not even Iruka, could even understand whats wrong with him.

Even though he's said in his letters that he's been able to become much more like the powerful ninja that he told everyone he was going to be, Jiraiya's letters said that Naruto's potential was starting to blossom, though Naruto's bounce of energy before was to joke around, instead became his energy to “defeat the cowardly bastard so that he doesn't fuck up again,” becoming his only output, which he stated that the sparkle in his eye's were slowly started to fade to a dull dead aquamarine every month of their traveling, which irritated him to no end.

Jiraiya tried many things to cheer the sad blonde up, but to no avail, just making him a bit more worse by an almost death experience with kunai and shuriken thrown at him, with, sad to say, really good expertise, though afterwards only sporting a few cuts on the face.

He kept staring at the sky, still trying to find a solution, expecting it to fall out of the sky. His lazy visible eye scanning the clouds like the lazy genius Chunin called Shikamaru.

Suddenly he saw the sky look like it was opening up with a small hole portal shape, with something starting to form out, materializing like a shed tear, and slowly, it started descending to the ground. The silver object looked like it landed where his first test with the Team 7 was.

His visible eye suddenly widened at how much ki was being sent from that light. It was so powerful, so high, so much more than Naruto's. And Naruto's was very powerful, considering that he had the nine-tailed fox's spirit; Kyuugi in him.

He had no time to consider to going to the Hokage's, something odd was happening here and he was going to find out. And in a puff of smoke, he was gone.

------------------

Usagi felt like she wanted to throw up, she learned this the hard way, never eat a burrito before you time travel to another dimension. Her eyes felt drowsy, and it took her a bit to relax them enough to focus her eyesight. She took a slow look around her surroundings, it looked like she was in a dense forest of some sort. But, the thing is, where is this dense forest?

Her eyes widened a fraction, someone was watching her, and she felt that this person that was watching her was not as powerful as her, but could probably put up a small fight.

She slowly closed her eyes, and concentrated through where in the trees was the perpetrator. She stopped breathing to concentrate her highly sensitive hearing, she felt the vibrations of someone or something breathing in the trees. She felt the gaze was behind her to her left, and she cautiously spoke.

“I know you're watching me.”

------------------

Kakashi was busy leaping from each tree to another tree with ease to the clearing where Team 7 started to become Genin (I think the episode was when Naruto and his teammates were trying to get the bells from Kakashi.)

When he got there he was pretty surprised to find a girl with silver hair laying on the ground her back facing to him. He was about to go to the girl, but then she started to stir. He decided to wait for her to wake up, nobody wants a scare by a person that you don't even know just standing there, staring at you when you wake up. Besides, he wanted to see if this girl seemed dangerous or not.

He saw that she was slowly standing up, and brushing herself off. Then she just stood there absolutely still, and then he heard an angelic voice ring through his ears.

“I know you're watching me.”

So she knew he was there, no point in hiding anymore, but he raised an eyebrow at this comment. He expertly began jumping down the trees and casually started walking toward this strange new girl. But stopped in his tracks when she turned around, his visible eye widened at the appearance of the goddess before him. His mind only registered one word, Beautiful . . . . .

She had long hair that went wildly in waves all the way down to her calves, she was wearing a simple white silk Chinese kimono that went to her feet and had two slits on both sides that went from her knee all the way to her upper thigh that shamefully showed off her curves, with long sleeves, had slits on her shoulder blades, peeking off her bare shoulders, with silver ballet shoes that tied with ribbons around her legs. But most fascinating of all, her eyes were a silver gray.

She looked at him skeptically, he looked like he was muscular, but with all those baggy clothes that he was wearing, she wasn't sure, he could have been a stick figure for all she knows, he had white unruly hair, and his face was mostly covered up leaving only one eye visible.

She concentrated on his energy signature, because while she was training in her long years period, she gained the ability to read people's energy signature of planetary proportions a.k.a. she could read people's aura's and to see which power corresponds to each planet and each aura was as different to the person as their fingerprints. Mercury, Venus, and Mars were the most common. While, in order from the first one to last one, rare to rarest; Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Pluto, the Sun and the rarest one of all, the Moon. But it mostly depended if you use the common and rare ones to your advantage. But even though you have a, lets say your power comes from Neptune, but they have Mars, they can still beat you if you don't how to use it. She took a brief second and figured it out, Hmm. . . . . one of the rare; Jupiter: so its lightning.

Both didn't know what to do, they just stood like that with their senses on high alert for about a few more moments, before both realized that the other wasn't going to attack.

Usagi was getting tired for the long awkward silence, and decided to speak up again. She put on a smile which surprised Kakashi out of his staring, and let her voice ring through their ears again.

“Hello, mind if you tell me where I am?”

He took a pausing stare at her, not many people are this blunt, well except Naruto. “Miss, uhh. . . . .?”

“Usagi, Usagi Tsukino.”

“Kakashi Hatake.” He cleared his throat. “Miss Tsukino, you are in the village Hidden in the Leaves, Konoho.”

Her smile went into a serious frown and she looked to her left side. And he thought he heard her say, “Why would it leave me here, and kami, why in these clothes?” She put on a smile when she turned back to him. “But, um…Kakashi-san, since I have no idea where I am, can you tell me if there is an authority here?”

“First please tell me what village that you're from.”

Her eyes widened a fraction. “What do you mean village?”

He raised his eyebrows to the silver haired beauty. “…You don't know what village you're from?”

“NO…look…see…I don't really know! But, can you please help me? I really don't know this village of Kono-hus a ma waz its-, but please, Kakashi-san, please help me?” She took a pause to realize that he was just staring at her with a scrutinizing gaze. “I'm not a part of some evil terrorists that plan to take over here.”

His lazy eye turned into a half moon. “Don't worry about it, so the closest thing to an authority that I think you're talking about is the Hokage, do you know what they are, what I mean is, the Hokage?”

She sweatdropped, “Umm…what?”

He took a pausing stare at her but then smiled underneath, “Never mind, just follow me.”

He started walking one way, she cocked her head to one side, and started trotting after him. Weird tree jumping people

------------------

Tsunade glared at the pile of papers on her desk, if looks could destroy, the papers would be a big pile of ashes right now. Today just wasn't her day, paperwork was piling up and every time she finished something, more would pile up than what she finished. She eagerly looked at the door, praying that something could at least distract her for the time being. Please someone knock on the door, please someone knock on the door, please someone knock on the..-

*Knock Knock.*

It was her secretary, “Hokage Tsunade, there is a jounin by the name of Kakashi and his unidentified companion, who wish to speak with you. Is it alright?”

She thanked the Gods it was him, “Yes you may let them in.”

The door opened and she expected to see a student with him, but who was that odd looking girl standing next to him in such a revealing looking outfit and even more bizarre looking hair, she thought that Kakashi had the weirdest hair, but this girl takes the cake. Silver hair, who ever heard of such a thing?

Good thing that Kakashi got her out of her stupor before she stared even longer and looked even more embarrassed, “Tsunade-sama, I found this woman named Usagi in the training grounds where I trained the Genin before they separated, she wishes to speak with you.”

She nodded to him. “Miss Usagi, where are you from, and why are you here, even more, how did you even get past the gates guards, without being seen?”

She looked a little unsure of what to say, because how can she tell them that she was here because of a wish on the most powerful object in the universe, and telling them that the wish that she made would find her soul mate here, she may have been the most powerful being in the universe, but she didn't know how to lie, kami, life was so confusing, she sighed in defeat. “I'm sorry, but I don't think I can tell you, even if I did, I don't think you would believe me, if I told you how I even got to this place.”

She raised her eyebrows. “Try me kid, cause you're not getting out without a good explanation.”

She sighed again.

------------------

While she was walking with Kakashi to the Hokage's tower, many people stopped what they were doing to stare at her and to whisper to the closest person next to them. Yet unknowest to them, her sensitive ears picked up every single word they were saying.

“I wonder who she is.”

“Why is she walking with Kakashi?”

“Wonder if she's single?”

“She looks so odd, I hope she isn't like `him'.”

“Let's just hope there's not gonna be another demon in our village.”

Her head snapped up to the word demon, and she halted, she narrowed her eyes. I wonder if they mean… no it can't, Setsuna told me that he was never found, probably dead. Her stopping didn't go unnoticed by Kakashi.

“Is there something wrong?”

Her thoughtful expression immediately disappeared with a small smile. “Yeah, I'm okay.” And she continued waking with him. The rest of the walk there was pretty much as boring as heck, but both doing a small conversation kind of passed the time on a little bit.

When they arrived, she took a short look to the building and just followed him inside to see him speak with the secretary, she heard him call her to speak with the woman who she guessed was the Hokage; Tsunade.

When they were finally let in, her eyes widened to see a blonde woman with HUGE boobs behind a desk, Kakashi spoke up first. “Tsunade-sama, I found this woman named Usagi in the training grounds where I trained the Genin before they traveled, she wishes to speak with you.”

The woman was about to speak, but stopped and uncomfortably stared at her, which kind of freaked her out in a way that was like you-look-really-weird-so-I'm-just-gonna-stare-at-you-for-the-rest-of-the-ti me-you're-here.

Good thing Kakashi stopped her from more awkwardness with this `Hokage' when he cleared his throat, so Tsunade decided to speak up.

“Miss Usagi, where are you from, and why are you here, even more, how did you even get past the gates guards, without being seen?”

Oh shit. “I'm sorry, but I don't think I can tell you, even if I did, I don't think you would believe me, if I told you how I even got to this place.”

Tsunade narrowed her eyes, then raised an eyebrow. “Try me kid, cause you're not getting out without a good explanation.”

She sighed again, “Well,…you see, where I lived, I wasn't happy, so I decided to leave.” She took a pause to choose her words wisely. “I am from a place called Japan, I came here to find a certain someone to continue with me a certain…umm…position or find a person who would take my position, and I really don't know how to tell you how I got here, because that would mean sacrificing information that I couldn't tell you right now, but scarecrow right here can tell you how I got here.” She moved her head to indicate that Kakashi was the `scarecrow.'

Kakashi's visible eyebrow rose up at the…unique nickname she gave him, but didn't protest. “Tsunade, while I looked up at the sky, it opened up, and she descended from it and landed to where I used to train Team 7.”

Tsunade looked at Usagi with a wary stare, when she was about to talk more, the door slammed open.

“HEY TSUNADE!”

Kakashi and Tsunade jumped up a little and glared a little at the newcomer, but then Kakashi just made a crescent eye to indicate that he was smiling, while Usagi was thinking Who the hell is he?

He got longer white unrulier hair than Kakashi and odd markings on his eyes and he looked pretty old to her. When he spotted her, he put on this oddly perverted smile that creeped her out, but it doesn't matter that much, since she could kick his ass if he tried anything.

“Why hello young, beautiful lady, I am Jiraiya, who might you be?” Notice that he exaggerated the words “young” and “beautiful”.

She said the most intelligent thing in her vocabulary, “Huh?”

As he was about to talk, Tsunade cleared her throat, “What I was about to say before this man named Jiraiya so rudely interrupted me…Was that since we don't know if you're from, like if you're from a neighboring village or so on and so forth. Please excuse our suspicious behavior of you, but you need to be put under housing surveillance with one of our Jounin, just to make sure you aren't of criminal record. Since many things happened with our village, we have tight security now.” She started pulling out some papers from under her desk, including a pen. “Just sign these forms here to make sure that we have your consent that you are being housed for a year under our ANBU surveillance team…”

Usagi shot up like a rocket after hearing the last part. “Excuse me?!” Her brilliant silver eyes darkened a few shades while Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Kakashi were taken aback by the petite girls out burst, Kakashi unconsciously putting his hand on his kunai holster. “What the hell are you talking about? Jounin, ANBU, villages, and tree jumping people! Where the hell am I?!!”

Jiraiya's eye twitched. `Tree jumping people?' As he was about to give the strange and sexy girl a piece of his mind, but then the slightly terrified Kakashi beat him to it.

“Miss Usagi, currently you are in the village of Konaho, the Village Hidden in the Leaves.”

“That still doesn't explain why you guys are tree jumping people.” Even though I can jump higher than you guys, I'll let myself be amused by their excuse.

Tsunade decided to speak up. “The `tree jumping people' who you are talking about are our ninja, and jounin is a rank of ninja, while ANBU is a policing force of a group of Jounin that either protect the Hokage, police the village, or go after criminals. Villages are like city's that stretch across in ten countries, from the Fire Country-to which we are in now- to Sand and so forth.”

She took a pause. “So how many people are ninja?”

“More than half the village.” Tsunade was waiting for the outburst of the girl.

“…So how do you become one of these ninja?”
