Sailor Moon Fan Fiction / Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ What If? ❯ The Explosion ( Chapter 3 )
Instead of filling this up with useless chatter, I'll start typing, k?
//…// Yami to Hikari
/…/ Hikari to Yami
<…> Usagi speaking telepathically
*
<Hota-chan…> Hotaru jumped when she heard the familiar voice of her princess in her mind.
<…Usagi? What are you doing in my head?>
<I have a favor to ask. You see, I'm currently in need of a sharp pointy object, and I was wondering->
<If you could use my glaive? I feel sorry for the person it's gonna be used on. But how will you get it?>
<I don't think I'm really going to use it, but I think I could tap into your sub-space pocket, but only if you let me. >
<Okay. Just return it, okay? I like my glaive.>
<Thanks. I promise not to hurt Bakura too much if I do use it.> The girl's eyes widened when she said the name.
`Bakura?'
Usagi grinned, something glinting in her eyes. Then, out of nowhere, a large, pointy scythe-like thing appeared in her hands, the tip glinting dangerously." I wish I had something like this all the time. Too bad I have to borrow from Hota-chan." She pointed it at Bakura, who stared back at it.
"I hate that damn glaive…" Usagi grin grew broader.
"I'm glad to know that you remember that much. I don't remember much of my past, but I do remember you hating it when Hota smacked you with it." He scowled, trying to hide the faint blush that followed the name of the black haired teen.
"I hate you onna. I always have, and always will. But don't expect me to just hand the Eye over 'cause you threatened me with that thing. That's what my sissy Hikari would do."
"Sissy Hikari? You're so kind to this person," she stated sarcastically. "At least I know who has the Eye now." Bakura blinked before swearing under his breath once more.
Meanwhile, Yugi had come to, and separated from Yami. "What did I miss?"
"Bakura's chatting with Serenity while being threatened with a glaive. It's a little strange, but it's like her."
"She doesn't look willing to hurt him too badly, though." Yami nodded.
"She's an excellent fighter, but doesn't hurt others unless they truly say or do something to make her mad." Yugi noted the look on her face. The grin was gone, and fiery anger filled her eyes. The glaive was beginning to glow with a pulsing silver light. She then sank to her knees, talking quietly. Yami's eyes widened.
"Aibou? I recommend you hide behind something now, unless being part of an explosion is on your to do list."

Usagi growled softly when she heard what Bakura said. "That was the wrong thing to say. Like I said earlier, I am not pathetic! I am not weak either, and even though I'm stuck with less than half of my original power, that does not give you the right to call me it either!" She sank to her knees, the glaive providing some support. "Ever since I was fourteen, I've had people teasing me, calling me weak and stupid. They might not have meant it, but it still hurt! I've lived with that for five years, and I can't stand it!" Her shoulders started shaking, and she started to glow silvery-gold. "I won't live with it anymore!" she screamed. There was a flash of light, and what sounded like an small bomb going off. When it died down, everyone within twenty yards was knocked out cold.

"Earlier this afternoon, there was a small explosion in the park, but the cause is still unknown. Five people were injured in the explosion, and are currently being taken care of at Domino Hospital. Three of them are being treated for only minor injuries, but the other two are only just barely in stable condition. The hospital hasn't told us who the victims were, but we'll have more on this in the three o'clock news." Jou blinked and scratched the back of his head.
"A random explosion?" Honda smacked him on the back of the head.
"It's not random. They just haven't figured out who did it yet."
"But there's one strange thing. Who would go out of their way to do something like that in a park? They would have had to have buried something underground, with a time setting or something, but it said they don't have any clues as to how it happened." The two taller boys eyed Anzu strangely.
"Since when did you know about that sort of stuff?" She shrugged.
"I'm taking a guess. I just want to know who was in it."
"I hope someone we know wasn't in it."
"By the way, where's Yug'? He was supposed to meet us here," Honda looked at his watch. "Half an hour ago, I think."
"It only takes ten minutes to get here from the Game Shop…You don't suppose…" Jou shook his head.
"Nah. What are the chances (he, of course, just jinxed it)?"

Another strange chapter. I'm sorry I ended it here. I was running out of ideas. And in case you forgot, the five people were (of course) Usagi, Bakura, Yami, Yugi, and Malik. He's not gonna have much of a part in this, simply because of the fact that I can't keep him in character. I would appreciate some help with that if anyone wants him to play a bigger role in this for whatever reason. Okay, I think I've rambled enough, so I'll end here. Ciao for now!
